Showed up for a lunch time concert with food trucks and live music by young musician Vincent Bonelli. Rain delayed the concert, but not the spirit of hungry people. There are picnic tables surrounding the gazebo. I wish there were separate benches as well in the area. I asked some folks at a table if I could join them for the concert. So many people. Several brought their own chairs. There were all ages present, from youngsters to golden agers. People in work clothes and people in casual summer dress.Heard a table of ladies say they came over for food here, instead of eating at the golf course across the street. The ladies were plenty happy with food truck meal portion sizes and prices. From the amount of applause heard for performer on acoustic guitar, Id say people were quite pleased with the music, no matter where I was in the park. The botanical gardens is meticulously taken care of. Quite the artist and photographer dream venue.Plenty of parking. Lots of trash receptacles to accommodate the number of people enjoying food truck meals.Porta potty on premises. Game areas for children. Of course kayaking, boating and fishing happen here too. Small yet busy place!
One of my favorite kayak launches. Easy to get to Ellicott Creek Park,Gateway Park. Restaurants and bathrooms. Tonawanda Island and the Niagara River. The fishing is fantastic. Several bridges offer shade on a real sunny day. The people watching is incredible. World class scenery up and down . Wildlife everywhere. Then youve got excellent bike and walking paths literally adjacent to the launch. Sweeney and Niagara. If its ever busy you can easily launch nearby under a bridge or from shore.👀👍😄

2022-05-25Very convenient location - upstream from Ellicott Creek Park. Roller launch is great and very nice boat ramp to use if you have a kayak/canoe that you cant use rollers. Plenty of parking as well

2021-06-20I only went to see the kayak launch. I great shape, big enough for launching and inbound kayakers. Plenty of parking, not to mention Its at the N. Tonawanda Botanical Gardens. Beautiful. Will repost after I kayak.

2022-06-15Great location to kayak. Roller launch or small stones to help keep out of mud. Senior kayak are more likely to slip in mud.

2020-09-29I am hesitant to write a review about this gem because I want to keep it all to myself. Parking lot is huge and there are far less people here than the Ellicott Creek launch. Easy access, and a few different routes to take along the water. One of my favorite spots to launch!

2021-06-16Its actually a really nice little area. Peaceful for the most part. I think they should expand on the informational signs, to help educate the youth. Thats wonderful.

2021-09-14We love to get our food, open our car windows and eat our food there. We watch the people getting in and out of there kayak while we are there. We have watched fisherman catch there fish there. The kids love it there. We get out when there isnt a lot of people there. Due to covid it is not frequent. Love this spot
