I am beyond delighted to have found NY Blind & Shade Store. The team arrived on time, worked with great care, quickly and cleanly to fix my custom Roman shades. They look as crisp as the day they were installed. The price was very fair and I have already recommend them to others. I will definitely work with them again.

BUYERS BEWARE. Its unfortunate that I have to write this review but I feel its important to warn people of how this business operates. I had a consultation at my apartment back in early January and at that time placed an order for custom blinds. I paid a 50% deposit and was told my order would be ready in 3 weeks. After 3 weeks passed I didnt hear anything so I followed up. I had to call several times, leave voice mails, and send texts directly to the owner before I got a response. He finally sent a vague response letting me know theres been a delay in the shipment but he assured me I should receive the order the next week. The following week came and went with no order received or any communication from the owner. Its been over 3 additional weeks since Ive heard from anyone from this business. Ive called numerous times, left several voicemails, and sent several texts asking for an update and have not heard a single thing back.PLEASE BE CAREFUL BEFORE ORDERING FROM THIS BUSINESS. I can not understand how a business can take a customers money and go completely missing for months with no communication or services rendered. I feel like Ive been robbed and Im in the process of disputing the charge with my bank. I was hoping to support a local business but this is beyond unacceptable.

It is unfortunate that I am having to write this, as I normally dont write bad reviews, particularly for small businesses. However, the bare minimum I expect from a business is good communication, and this business seriously lacks any level of communication. Initially, I scheduled an appointment for a quote on 7/21, and they didnt show up. They called me later in the day to reschedule for 7/22. I thought this might be a one-off thing, so I ordered blinds on 7/22 and paid a 50% down payment (a significant sum of money). At the time, I was told it would take 2-3 weeks for the blinds to come. On 8/20, after multiple phone calls and Thumbtack messages without response, I finally receive a brief text from them stating that there is a backlog and telling me that the new delivery date will be 9/9. I needed the blinds sooner, so I asked to have my money back, but they said it was too late and offered a 10% discount. Now, almost 7 weeks since I placed the order, not only have I not received my blinds, I have not received any confirmation of when they will come. Over the past week, I have tried calling two separate phone numbers I was given, texting, and messaging through Thumbtack, without response. 9/9 is tomorrow, and Im not sure Ill be getting my blinds at all. Im incredibly frustrated, and given the amount Im paying for these blinds, its unfair that Im having to devote so much time calling/texting them without any response. While I understand small businesses are facing difficulties with COVID, I wish they had just reached out to me with an update. Without any communication, its starting to feel more and more like Ive been scammed.

NY Blind and Shade Store is amazing. I give them my highest recommendation. They are professional and personable and, from start to finish, made the experience of buying shades easy and enjoyable. They helped me select the fabric and then beautifully installed my shades. The installers are very clean. They were responsive to all of my questions and really took the time to listen to my needs and design a work product that fits in my space with my décor. Edited my response to be a little more fair.Had blackout blinds installed in my bedroom three years ago. At the time the job was okay; it was very fast, but the canvas was cut crookedly, and the metal weight at the bottom of the blinds fell off within a week since the materials all seemed pretty cheap. Spent a few hundred so I knew I wasn’t getting the best quality, and didn’t bother writing a review. Today the blinds fell out completely—turns out they were just screwed into the ceiling, no brackets, nothing.

If youre looking for window treatments like we were recently. I can save you some time and tell you go straight to NY Blinds And Shades Store. They were excellent!!! They visited our apartment to confirm the measurements and we had our new shades I stalled right away... Easy as that.Those guys, work really professional.. Great job!
