Im currently a student here and I can say I enjoy the experience. The staff and instructors are very helpful an take their time with whatever needs you may bring to their attention. An for those who may not have their HS diploma or equivalent I strongly advise you to really consider the school cause I didnt have mine but the education department went above and beyond to help me to acquire my GED I also wanna thank Ms.Alisha for the effort she put in with assisting me with that accomplishment.
As a current student at NYADI, I could not have made a better choice in pursuing my passion. The instructors go above and beyond for their students. Instructors like Mr. Khan, Mr.King and Mr.Howell is just to name a few. Making the choice to go back to school after so many years seemed like a daunting task, but thankfully NYADi and their staff made it an easy job. I would definitely recommend if you’re seeking to get into the automotive and diesel industry.
To whom this may concern, I’ve been enrolled in this school for about a year & all I can say is this entire school is filled with YouTube teachers. If your ok with paying to come to school to be shown YouTube videos all day this is the school for you. No one cares or looks out for students they push you away & give you sh*t engines to work on & by the way non of it works. But wait because they are so quick to take that monthly school payment. What a disgusting experience & I will continue to tell everyone I know the experience I had over the years. HORRIBLE !!
Im Currently Enrolled in the Diesel Program. Im happy with my experience so far. All the instructors are well experience and they are great. Mr. Khan and Mr. Kim helping us lot to learn about the diesel trucks. I like the hands on work that school good. I will recommend to everyone interested in begin A technician to come here. Thanks for the Jesse who is helping along the way with everything he a vary helpful guy.
NYADI is truly number 1.. I joined this school in April of 2019 and it has been the best experience after not being in school for so long. I obtained my GED throught this program thanks to the Ms.Prasher and Im also a straight A student . Thse professors working with me day and night to prepare me for my tests was just great. Especially helping me on their days off really showed me how much they cared and made me look at the future of diesel and automotive with excitement. Thank you NYADI and especially Ms. Alisha Prasher.
Knowledge is the key to success. At NYADI the instructors are very knowledgeable in the automotive industry. In class you are required to disassemble various components from a vehicle by HAND then put them back together by HAND. So in the real world when push comes to shove you know what you are doing because you HAVE done it the CORRECT way before.Fellow students are willing to go out of their way to give you a helping hand, especially when you first start they will show you the ropes.
NYADI has opened so many doors for me. Last year I got my certificate and a job upon graduating. I am now coming back to school to get my college degree. Very happy to be back! All in all thanks To the teachers and learning environment that was conducive to helping me become a successful automotive technician.
Yes I attended Adi and did learn some valuable things. Program would be a lot better if they brought in vehicles from the outside. Only to show students problems you will find in real life. Not taking anything away from the school, if you want to learn, you will learn something. I run a school bus mechanic shop based off stuff I learned at Adi and experience for the past 2 years.
Amazing school and staff I learned so much being here the staff and teachers are amazing. The school got me a job working @ sears auto center. And I love the hands work that the school does really awesome school would recommend for anyone out there that is fascinated into cars and trucks and who would wants to get a degree in it. In 2 years I will Graduate From N.Y.A.D.I with An Associates degree In Master Truck and Diesel Technology Love It here. Thanks to Jesse Who is helping along the way with everything Awesome Guy and Very Helpful.
I attend this school and work with miss alisha on our ged prep. i have learned so much and have almost passed all my five subjects for tasc, i only need math. she was patient and helpful and constantly pushed me for my best. as for the school, i enjoy the school because it treats everyone like adults, focuses on content we need to know for the real world and hands down my fav instructora are mr. roop , mr franks and again miss alisha were fantastic. highly recommend.
Yes my experience so far is amazing am study the diesel engine my instructor name is Mr khan great instructor i was able to understand all function of the diesel engine if you come to this school and your taking the diesel engine course look for MR KHAN the best Dwayne johnson
Mr Khan , Mr King , Mr. Sorondo and Mr. Celestine are more than great teachers. They care about the actual advancement in knowledge of the students. The equipment is outdated but it is none of the professors fault. They work with what they have and give you 100% of their knowledge and experience to make you great technicians once you enter the field. To go to a school where you can learn from Master Technicians as your professors on the daily is a blessing. How you perceive the situation is ultimately going to determine how great you will become. -Brooks
Im enjoying this learning experience and happy that Im learning new things about every day and NYADI is the best school to study about automotive and diesel technology. all teachers are amazing. thanks to Mr. Khan and Mr.king who Is helping me everything they are very helpful. Thank you NYADI
Im Currently Enrolled In the Diesel Program And Im Happy With My Experience So Far. The Teachers Are Great && Theres A Lot Of Hands On Experience. The Other Students Are Nice And Get Along Well With Everyone. I Recommend To Everyone Interested In Being A Technician To Come Here Especially The Girls Dont Feel Like Its A Guys World Cause Us Girl Are Just As Good And Welcomed Into This School. Thats Why I Thank Miss Turner For Encouraging Me To Enroll. Plus They got A Lot Of Connections with Jobs In The Field.
My experience here at NYADI has been great , I am a person that had experience in this field before but only in automotive, since I started attending this school for a completely different course which is the Diesel technician program, I have learned an enormously large amount of information about the whole entire diesel operated vehicles ,the teachers here are very great ,their teaching methods will be different but I can assure you that you will learn so much about vehicles just in a few classes because the teacher will make it understandable and they try to find jobs for students also ....I dont think no one will ever regret the decision they chose to apply here at this school . I like it here, its a cool school, for diesel Mr.Khan and Mr.King will build you to become a great diesel Tech .
I have attended this school for 8 month. On a scale of 1 to 10, one being absolute academic disaster to 10 being acceptable learning environment, This school ranks a 1. If you can avoid this school by all means do, its a huge rip off i promise you. The disaster ranges from broken down cars that cant even be used for most demonstrations, teachers that are so nonintellectual to the point that some of them dont even spell or read correctly, there is a teacher named Rose who literally spent 6 weeks where we were supposed to be learning about alignments and suspension doing nothing but wasting our time, he would claim he is going to being back tools while going off doing god knows what in order to pass time while drove in the freezing cold for 20 something miles so we can end up standing around. Most teachers do the same thing because this job is just there retirement job, they only come to make money doing nothing. i promise you, you will lose your money and effort going to this school, at the end they dont even find you a job because most students come out not learning anything and employers have bad experience with the school.
I would like to take the opportunity to let you know that I Sterlin Emile have completed all my requirements. I started with partial experience in automotive, with no experience in diesel. Entering and completing the program I have learned a whole lot more about automotive and diesel program. I am very thankful I made the right choice of coming to NYADI. Now I am pretty confident to go into the work force with the experience which I have learned at NYADI.And now with my experience I can refer as many people as possible to diesel and automotive program. Let me take the time to thank the administration staff and recruiter staff, teachers and custodian staff for making NYADI a true experience. I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. May god bless and keep everyone of you in Jesus Name.
Wow, what a school and staff I learned. I been having a hard time finding a job and now adi I found hope at the end of the tunnel. I love the hands on work that the school does really awesome. martin Rivera was one of admissions people who help me start my found career. hes the best. love this school.. very hands on thank you NYADI
WHOEVER IS READING THIS PLEASE PLEASEEEE READ THIS REVIEW!!!! I am a student here at the NYADI college and I must say that I am very VERY ecstatic and far beyond happy about coming here to NYADI to learn. Now I came from Lincoln tech institute and nothing wrong with them it’s just not a really strong school to grasp information on automotive and diesel 100%. I made my decision and choice 100% with all my heart and passion to enroll myself into NYADI because JESSE my advisor and my personal favorite had me convinced about my future as a mechanic; he is the number one best advisor and mentor and he cares soooo SOOO MUCH about me and all of the students that wishes to enroll at NYADI where you will have a future guaranteed and it’s amazing to have Advisors like him and the rest, this is by the way a family oriented school, everyone here like the students and teachers/instructors are super duper duper friendly here and the brother good here is very very strong and students that are about to graduate care about the new incoming students and are very very VERY smart about automotive and diesel and they are always always willing to help and guide new students with what they don’t know and help fill in their learning gap about mechanic stuff and that’s really amazing and wonderful, every single day I always come with the biggest smile and I am always ready to learn about everything a NYADI because for real for real I never EVER in my life even in high school met any faculty, advisor, teachers and even custodians that are amazing and phenomenal like these guys. Please don’t come here with your negative attitude and give up on yourself and not come here again, because these advisors like JESSE and true rest even the principal of this school are really loyal to all the students and will be on top of you and help you open your own eyes for your own future because they will tell you how it is “I’m giving you my 100% but now it’s up to you to give that 100% back” they care about you they all want you to succeed and have a beautiful future as a smart knowledgeable mechanic, this school NYADI deserve to be number 1 on the list learning wise and future wise. Come to this school please and just know that the atmosphere here at NYADI is amazing trust me I am a very blunt straight forward person and I tell it how it is, NYADI is the Number one school if your serious about your future like we are, change your lifestyle, mind and job with NYADI if your for real for real and passionate and hungry to win like a champ:))
Im a Veteran student and been here for 12 months. Good school for Automotive and Auto collision repair. They have outdated equipent and you wont work on your own vehicle. They have great instructors such as Mr. Sanchez, Mr. Licostie, Mr. Herkins, Mr. Khan, Mr. Gregory, and Mr. Moore. They can do as much the school provide. Diesel program has outdated equipent and woulnd recommend students to come here for that. For veterans you get full NY bah which is worth coming to. If your serious about an auto career, think twice about coming here. If your thinking about paying for school try going to Suffolk Community college for auto, or a diffrent school bc this place will take alot money and time from you. I wouldn recommend anybody to this school. If youre a veteran you’re ok bc you’re not paying for anything.
This place was pretty good until we received a teacher name Boyle. He’s a cuntttttt, him & Moore. They’re both like a couple, always sticking up for each other. Boyle thinks he’s the baddest person around town since he’s the “supervisor teacher” like who cares. Do your job. To get respect you gotta give some.
Im currently enrolled in the diesel program so far so good nice program but most of all i want to say many thanks to Mr Khan for his patient and style of teaching he doesnt stop until each and every student fully understand whats been thought and the hands on is good thanks to Mr Khan as well for making the best of the little equipment we have in the lab NYADI need to really update the diesel lab because there is basically nothing in the lab for the teachers to properly equipped us with right hands on training to get us ready for the outside world where diesel Technology is concerned and last but not least the lab is so COLD has no heat students cant function in the cold lab the school needs to fix that issue ASAP but over its a fairly nice institution... Thanks again Mr. Khan
NYADI is a cut above all the other schools available in the area. Now that theyre a college, I can follow my passion and earn a degree at the same time. The skills learned here along with earning a degree, will give NYADI students a sharper competitive edge against other technicians in the industry.
My name is Josephe Jenkins and I been attending NYADI for 8 months and haven’t had any problems with teachers. Now that I have Mr. Moore and Mr. Boyle I have gotten written up 09/19/2018 Boyle told the class since he cannot read anyone’s assignment paper so he has to give everyone a zero he also said “no one can read or write”. I took offense to that. Mr Boyle then read my assignment to the whole class. So I then asked Mr. Boyle if you couldn’t read anyone’s paper how were you able to read my assignment. I then asked him if he can give me a grade since he clearly was able to read mine. He said no then when other students got involved only then Mr. Boyle said he will give us a chance to make up the paper but he wants the same assignment typed. He also called the class illiterate because he couldn’t read our hand writing. We have about 13 people in the class if you as a teacher knew you can’t read other peoples hand writing you should of made it your business since the beginning of class to have the class type assignments. He also is the type to throw around his title at the school state he’s the head supervisor of the teachers and the facility. Because I stuck up for myself because I am a man first they wrote me up. I got up out my seat to talk to Mr. Boyle because he has a hard time hearing so I wanted my voice to travel so he can hear me because he wears a hearing aid. I am a vet I been deployed I’ve dealt with a lot sacrificing myself for this country just for someone in a position trying to hinder me from learning at school. Since he didn’t like how I called him out on what he told the class. I spoke with the dean and no one was able to help me and sided with Mr. Moore and Mr. Boyle and my biggest pet peeve is the dean was not there when these events took place so instead of investigating the case first they sided with both teachers. Teachers can be wrong since we are only humans but people have to much pride to admit they were wrong. I then asked to speak with the president of the school they told me I have to make an appointment when my class has been worse since the incident. Now I feel I’m going to fail because Mr. Boyle and Mr. Moore has it out for me. Mr. Boyle also made it his business to talk to previous teachers I had to see why I got the grades I got but it’s ok for him to do that but the dean and who Evers above him doesn’t say anything to him. My other issue with this school is that without students the school will not function we pay all those bills at that school and yet we are not protected in any way the whole class told the dean what happened and they did not hear what we had to say thirteen people can’t all be lying. It also a double standard with these two teachers like it’s ok for them to say what’s on their mind but the minute you do it they wanna give you an F abusing their power. On 09/24/2018 I came into school at 3:30 to type up my 3 assignments I made my presence known to the front office so they could tell my teachers I was there. I then went to my classroom at 5.55pm I handed in my paper but I had left my paper upstairs in the computer lab by accident so I told Mr. Moore I left it upstairs can I go get it he replied yes. I gave it to him I got a perfect score on all three. Mr. Boyle then comes in the class asks for my paper back with no hesitation I gave it to him. I then told Mr. Moore I’m going to report him he replied “I don’t give a rats ass” which I thought teachers are professionals. Now this is how you know he was picking on me because there are other kids in the class he did not take anyone else’s back. So on break which is from 740 to 8:05pm I asked him for my paper back he said no then Mr. Moore told me to get out their room I said can I get my paper back. He then tried to close to the door on me and said get out louder tone. I replied you wouldn’t speak to me like that outside he then said I threatened him when I said that. Mr. Moore said he will get me suspended. So after break I asked for my paper back Mr. Boyle gave it back and I asked why did you take it he did not answer.
Like everything you get out what you put in. Is this school perfect? No but I learned a hell of a lot. It is up to me to apply what I learned and take it further. I am a better person and I think a hell of a C Tech. Thanks ADI. You gave me what I needed to get started... Ill take it from here.
If look at the review here saying that this school is good and amazing its a lie this is a waste of your time what this school really cares about is your money nothing else they they fired there staff like water and now they only got 2 diesel teacher in the diesel department and they making the automotive teachers teach the diesel class its crazy this was a waste of time my time.

2022-06-16Definitely recommend this school for automotive and/or diesel. The classes are informative and hands on. All my professors are very dedicated to teaching and make it a point to teach tips and tricks from years of experience that you will not find in textbooks.

2022-06-06I am a recent graduate from NYADI. I give this school a five star because of my overall experience. If you are considering this school, please note you will do well, be punctual and communicate, don’t refrain to ask for help. In each department, the faculty surpass my expectation (Career services, admission, bursar, financial aid). Thanks to Ms. Nefertina Lambus from Career Services, Dean Eileen Smith, Ms. Alisha Prasher, Dean of Academic Affairs for always having an upbeat attitude and showing empathy and eager to assisting students. collectively they all give me a new perspective when assisting others, and of course to all the instructors Mr. Garcia, Mr. King, Mr. Sorondo, Mr. Simon, Mr. Calvin P, Mr. Boyle, and Mr. Oakley. Thank you for ensuring that my performance in lab meet the expectations, which drive me to be a straight A student.

2021-12-21I give five stars for the instructors who make learning a progressive and joyful experience. One of the best instructors overall and definitely the best in the diesel department in Mr. Khan. Mr. Khan teaches the correct foundation principles as well as how things are done present day, to make you ready for what you will face in the field currently. He works hard to be of service to his students and is very knowledgeable in all the subjects he teaches. Hes one of the greatest assets NYADI has among the faculty and he should be given raise for his hard work and dedication to making his students learn. Hes just that great and is a true master tech.Mr. Boyle from the automotive department is wonderful and a pleasure to learn from, and you will do well in his class as long you pay attention and do your part as the student. Theres never a dull day with Mr. Boyle.Mr. Garcia teaches transmissions classes so well he should be teaching both the lab and the theory. He shows enthusiasm when he teaches and cares that his students learn. I couldnt have asked for a better transmissions teacher.I also wanna shout out Mr. Howell, Mr. Simon, Mr. Oakley, Mr. Rodriguez, Mr. Alpiner, and Mr. Sorondo.5 teaches

2019-03-28Your Military Money, Just Money!! The School Isnt Regionally Accredited So If Your One For Knowledge And Want To Go Further Than An Associates Degree Than You Will Get Pulled In And Get The Run Around And Shunned For Asking Valuable Questions Pertaining To Your Life And Advancement. They Have Mopar, Get Ahead, Ford Certifications You Can Attain. A Military Student Got Suspended For Protecting A Teacher. The Best Teachers Are Mr. Moore For Auto And Manual Transmissions, Mr. C For Electrical, Mr. King And Mr. Khan For Diesel Emissions, Transmissions, Mr. Boyle He Is Beautiful!! Mr. G Too!! Mr. L Is Old School And Is Set In His Ways But He Is A Big Computer Tech Guy, Just Dont Waste His Time Or Youll Pay!! The Teachers Are The Best!! They Bust Your Butt But You Appreciate It For Life!! Student Services Is Racist!! They Say Things Real Professionals Shouldnt And Treat You A Type Of Way For Speaking Up And Asking Questions!! Mr Howl Is Cool 2!! Either Way Because Of The Schools Accreditation You Will Have Problems Transferring Your Degree. I Have To Repeat My Associates Agree Again Because No Regionally Accredited Will Accept My Degree. Military Already Paid For My Schooling So Im Finishing It Out. I Start Vaughn College To Be A Pilot In May.

2021-06-17Majority of the google reviews are manipulated & Are extremely biased So if this still up ill be amazed. This School is a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT I enrolled into NYADI eager to learn more about collision & pick up some hands on knowledge & experience. As i was told in the beginning, prior to enrolling ,that The collision program would be a year long process, and youll learn everything there is about collision etc. It was all a lie, the actual collision classes were 4 months & the rest of 8 months your taking Automotive classes. I knew it was pointless at this pointless at this point when they had me taking a Tire Mounting Class when i enrolled to learn only collision. i notified when i enrolled i had knowledge in vehicle repair and i wasnt interested in automotive classes at all. Long story short your better off saving your money & time because this isnt worth the student loans DEBT AT ALL.

2018-04-13$30k for the Collision repair Program. When directed to get a “Clean Rag” i was pointed to a pile of tattered used clothing. Cheap female clothes with armpit stains. I couldn’t purchase a textbook, unavailable until the day before my final exam. Unable to complete assignments. 6 lab days that I wasn’t provided safety equipment included with tuition. No participation. Accused of plagiarism for using prior mil knowledge. Janitors leave there equipment in front of my locker until I turned up on em. So called “Dean” has no professionalism or any idea how a college works. He acts like you work for him. Doesn’t let you speak. He’s the antagonist. Staff is very friendly. Sanchez is ICE Cold. G is savage, listen carefully. Boyle has the key. Write down every word out his mouth. Im having the time of my life.
