Mike Green made me a feel like an Excel pro! I brushed up on new material and walked out like a pro. Hes a great professor who teaches at a comfortable pace and goes back if anyone needs help. I am recommending the class the others.
I had an excel class provided by my company. Mike Green was the instructor. Even I though I already cover most of the topics will be shown in the class, to be honest I learnt a lot of shortcuts, tricks and a different way of finding results. I was expecting a boring class but Mike kept it short and simple so overall I was happy with the class today and had a lot of takeaways.
I went to the career center to brush up on my Excel skills. I read through all the levels of Excel courses offered and decided that level two made the most sense for me to take. At the beginning of the class the instructed asked us about what we were particularly interested in learning to make sure to hit on those items throughout the day. The course is from 9-5, which sounds super long, but you’re busy so you don’t even notice it. I would and have recommended the career center to friends and colleagues. It is good for people that need to brush up on an existing skill as well as learn entirely new ones.
Jeanette was AMAZING. To be honest, when I signed up to take a two day beginners course in excel I was dreading it (on a Monday no less!). But, Jeanette was engaging, fun and made the course interactive. Her laugh and energy is contagious. I learned a ton of short cuts, formulas and tricks to make my work life easier. I highly recommend this course and center to those who are looking to boost their skills. I will likely be returning to take the intermediate in the near future. Thanks, Jeanette and Career Center!
Such an informative experience! I took the excel Level 2 course with Mike Green. I feel that my time was not wasted and that I will use each bit I learned yesterday as I continue in my career. I learned skills that will help me work smarter and use my time more efficiently. Great atmosphere and staff was very accommodating!
I attended Microsoft Word Levels 1 & 2 with Mike Green as the instructor. He is a very friendly and knowledgeable person and answered all questions promptly and completely to my satisfaction. Without any reservation I will recommend his services to anyone.
I took a SQL level 1 class on a Saturday and it was soo helpful. The instructor was humorous, extremely knowledgeable, and was an efficient communicator. He knew exactly how SQL was utilized in a real-world business aspect and was able to give examples of times youd need to use certain queries and how they can be used most effectively. Price is a little high, however my company paid for it so that wasnt an issue for me.
Mike Green was my instructor and he was very pleasant and informative about this course. I learned many Technics from attending his class. i would recommend the career center too any one looking to do computer courses.
I took SQL Levels 1, 2 and 3 with Peter. He is a great instructor who provides practical training you experience with databases. He was very clear with the explanations. Highly recommended!
Professor Green was wonderful. He has a great disposition with the students. I knew nothing about Excell and he was thorough and patient. I hope to take the rest of the courses with him.
This is the best course in Manhattan. Intelligent,patient instructors.Updated office computer level courses are great.We recommend the Microsoft first,then your Favs😄. At work theyll apply Ultra perfect.
Michael Green gave a magnificent class on Useful Formulas and Functions. The class was fun and the work was given in an understanding manner.
It was a good class, really was able to learn and feel comfortable with photoshop. I am looking forward to the indesign and illustrator classes! Dan was very knowledgable about photoshop and many other areas of Adobe. Thank you for providing these lessons.
Excel class was so thorough and they send you home with materials to reference. Staff is professional and pleasant. Will definitely send staff for the other classes.
Mark Green was a wonderful instructor and took time to explain and had a depth in excel knowledge to explain the student in different way.
Center was alright, review of Quick Books was not bad either, but the teacher... She was very slow and with all my respect, didnt take a shower for God knows how long.
Dynamic instructor and valuable course material. No wasted time, but they make sure that you understand the skills and retain them. Planning on taking more!
Took an Access class here for my job and I thought it was taught very well. I learned a lot and the office and workers were both very nice. I would recommend.
SQL Level I was very informative & helpful for those who have no experience using it. I would highly recommend the class.

2019-07-17Took the Word and Excel basics as a refresher. The teachers covered the key features well. I like that you can do a free retake if needed. So much is covered that it acts to further reinforce the learning. A thoughtful addition is the water, coffee and bagels free to each student.

2020-04-27I took the excel course and it was absolutely excellent! The teacher was perhaps more proficient than any college professor that I took computer classes with in the past. He was very patient, and made sure everybody was on the same page before moving on. He was also very comprehensible, as he used many well-applied metaphors to personify excel in a way that helped me understand exactly what excel’s “thought process” is, and how to get the most out of it. If I had taken this class earlier, it may have saved me hours worth of work on projects that took me months to complete. Looking forward to taking the next level course soon.

2018-01-29Michael Green was a great instructor! I took the introductory course in Excel 1 as I was unfamiliar with many of the features. Michael taught at a perfect pace and I learned a ton! Highly recommended for newbies and more advanced Excel users!!

2018-01-29The Microsoft Excel Level 1 Course was very valuable. The instructor, Mike, was very patient and easy to learn from. He took time to walk through each step and made sure the entire class understood before moving on. Id recommend Mike and The Career Center to others looking to further their knowledge in Excel.

2017-12-19Mke Green was an absolutely wonderful teacher who is obviously an expert in both Microsoft word and excel. He was able to explain difficult concepts in an understandable manner and gave me a real confidence boost in only a days worth of teaching instruction. I recommend Mr. Green to any pupil who wants to learn either complicated or simple Microsoft concepts quickly and in a relaxed atmosphere.

2017-11-16I took MS Access level 1&2 classes there. Classes last a day rom 9-5. I had Peter as my instructor for both of my classes. He is very good and knowledgeable. Other than just teaching things right off the book he expands and extends his examples to some very practical day to day business problems and solutions to them. The instructor did set the teaching pace based on our needs and was willing to stop for any questions in between in order to keep everyone on track. Hands-on experience is a huge plus. It helps you strengthen your memory. The choice of classroom size varies depending on how many people are enrolled in that class. Because of its location, its very easy to get to and there are many lunch choices.

2014-05-21I attended their Excel v2010 classes levels 2 & 3. Each class was one day and taught by two different instructors. Both instructors knew the product inside and out. They started both classes by asking the students how they intended to use the product and tailored the class accordingly. They used the curriculum as a guide but also taught their own real world professional experience to meet the students needs. They answered every question and made sure you understood each feature and formula.I have attended classes at other training facilities and this was by far my best experience. I didnt feel like I was overpaying for material I would never use, or waste time in a class of 25 people. I would highly recommend Career Center. You get what you need, without paying high prices.

2020-11-02I have worked with The Career Center, located at Cross County Center in Yonkers, NY, where I got my first teaching job June 2002. Mr. William Fleshel gave me the opportunity to implement my knowledge become an actual experience. I felt a great sense of accomplishment. Especially, when I signed my first certificate for a student. Mr. William Fleshel is my hero and the best mentor ever. Today he served many people.

2018-03-27I took SQL Level 1-3 which was presented in a way which was easy and good to understand. Peter our instructor might have his quirks and his own kind of teaching style but he very well could make the material accessible for all students. He repeated important elements over and over so it had to stick and also kept us engaged with questions and excercises. The books and printed material are good and come in handy if you wanna look up something (offline ;) later. Career Centers also lets you retake the classes for up to one year if it did not sink in the first time, or you need a refresh, but i doubt you will need it, they do a good job here.

2018-01-29I took the Excel Level 1 2016 course with Mike Green. His teaching style was clear and easy to follow for students of all levels. Mike was very pleasant and patient and answered everyones questions. Highly recommended.
