My entire family has been coming here for years. Everyone is super friendly and kind. Extremely clean facility, excellent service and they take insurance! My two kids actually look forward to getting their teeth cleaned! Did I mention how nice everyone is? Highly recommend NYC Dental Associates.
Dr. Nancy did an amazing job! she was very patient with me! I hate going to the dentist it makes me very anxious! It is a relief to find a place like this! I have been through a handful of dentist. Dr.Nancy was very reassuring and calm. I had to get work done on one side of my mouth, she educated me through out the process as to why the procedure was necessary! best dentist Ive had. Receptionist (Alicia) was also great and informative as to what my insurance covers!
Great location, great office (very modern and well-kept), great staff (very friendly, helpful and kind), and Dr. Lukashevsky is an amazing, caring and talented dentist. Thanks to changing insurances throughout my career, Ive gone to probably 15-20 different dentists and there is no comparison. After my 3rd visit, I can say without reservation that she is by far the absolute best.
Dr. Elena Cho was amazing during my dental cleaning today. She was gentle and aware of areas that were sensitive so she took extra care in cleaning these areas. I would recommend a cleaning done by Dr. Cho to anyone that is scared to go to the dentist. This is the first time that I can say that I had a pleasant experience at the dentist.
The staff is always so amazing. My dental hygienist showed a clear passion for her clients. They have the best stylus pen combo around. The waiting area is chic and clean. Could use a sign in the entrance. Or a reminder of floor number in confirmation. Over all I love this place and feel well taken care of after every visit.
I am very happy with my first appointment at NYC Dental Associates. They were on time and very efficient. I was impressed with the amount of time the dentist spent with me, and she was very helpful at answering my questions. I am relieved to have finally found a dentist I can look forward to visiting.
Go here if you enjoy paying a premium for what is essentially standard dental cleaning, along with being ripped off in general. Was asked to pay for a scaling deep cleaning ($200 after insurance) after the dental hygienist took 10 seconds at looking at my teeth during a standard cleaning appointment. I deferred saying I much rather research the procedure before hand and to review my insurance policy. So the dental hygienists proceeded to do the quickest cleaning (although, respectively a good job) that I have ever gotten. The whole ordeal felt rushed, and sketchy. That is not the issue however, the issue is that my insurance only required 10% copay which I brought up several times to the front desk receptionist over the phone, in which she continuously disagreed with me stating Well you are paying for the good dental work and your insurance already pays such a large percentage. My favorite was The dentists needs to get paid too. The conversation resolved with her begrudgingly stating the need to check with her payment providers. When I came in for my appointment we went over the dental procedure once again, which was $250 for each quadrant (there are four total) and I was suppose to have the scaling done for each quadrant, so a total of $1,000. Her initial response is that my copay would be $200 stating my insurance requires 20% co-payment. Luckily I had my coverage information on my phone and asked if she would like to review it with me to prove that I indeed only needed to pay 10%. She claimed she knows exactly what it already said it and did not need to review it. I then declared that my co-payment is 10% and she FINALLY gave in and agreed that is what I should pay.The entire procedure was fine, I forget the dental hygienist and the dentists name but they were great. However the whole operation was done only on two of the quadrants (bottom teeth). So essentially they tried charging me $200 (and I ended up paying $100) for what should of cost $50.They make you pay at the door and do not want to send any bills which seemed very sketchy. Also the receptionist would not give me an in-voice of the operation.Go hear knowing that you will need to explicitly understand everything they will charge you or plan to charge you or prepare to get ripped off.
The entire SOHO health practice is wonderful between Dr. Fagelman and Dr. Behm. This appointment was with my dentist, Dr. Behm. It was an annual check-up and cleaning. From the reception desk where I was greeted so warmly, to the service which was outstanding I couldn’t have asked for a better, friendlier experience.
I work for the city of NY and contacted this establishment to verify which insurance they accept in an effort to assist my client and the person that answered the phone was incredibly rude. She first hung up the phone on me and later when I called back and requested to speak with a supervisor the office manager Lisa told me that there is no supervisor and that she was her own boss. The level of unprofessionalism and disrespect that I received was astounding. I advised my client to find a new dentist because the level of service provided at this facility is poor. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone and Tanya/Lisa need to be retrained.
Did not enjoy being charged for procedures that were not needed. Got a second opinion and was told all those fillings and deep cleaning I got was simply a fabrication so they can charge more. The dentist will wait until you are sedated and then claim they have found an additional cavity and make you decide then and there if they should remove it too. Lady at the front desk will up charge you for premiums even though your insurance covers it. (e.g. asking you to pay 20% instead of 10%)
I hate going to the dentist. I dread the entire process and I’m even pretty afraid of it. When I got to NYC Dental in soho, the office manager at the front was so warm and made sure that I was seen as soon as I got done with the new patient paperwork. She immediately put my mind at ease about potential non-covered costs popping up without me realizing, as I’ve had that happen before. When the dentist came in, she was so understanding of my fear of the dentist and made sure to talk me through what she was doing the entire time. She offered for me to wear headphones or listen to music to offset the sound for the cleaning.Overall, all of the women I encountered during this visit were wonderful and professional and my teeth have never looked cleaner after a routine visit.
Very shady place. The front desk lady (Alyssa) applied without my consent and knowledge to a care credit credit card on my behalf while I was laying on the chair when I asked if they had any kind of payment plans for the crowns I had to get. It was declined because of suspected fraud and I’m glad it did. When I confronted her, she obviously didn’t take any responsibility for this. And also, she charged me the wrong copay and didn’t believe me I had a $5 copay even though it’s written on my insurance card. The manager was completely useless and disappeared while I was arguing with Alyssa. She deserves to be fired and the whole place shut down.If you do decide to go there, make sure you check your bills every single time.
Dr Alina is very friendly and patient. She cares about your concerns and she takes the time to answer your questions. Receptionist is great and very helpful, and the wait time is pretty much on time. I haven’t had a bad experience there and I’m going there for many years.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! WORST PLACE, TERRIBLE STAFF! They overcharged me for a procedure and made me pay out of pocket. They had assured me my insurance was going to cover for my procedure however a month later my insurance wont cover my procedure because they havent received an explanation of the claims from the dentist! It has been over a month and they wont submit an explanation of my claims to the dentist. Everytime I call them someone is out of the office or they say they will contact my insure but they DONT. I have emailed them 5 times in the past month and NOT ONCE they responded to my emails. They made me pay almost 3K for a surgery and cant even speak with my insurance to explain the claims ?? They are unprofessional, wont answer you, they will overcharge you and lie to you. DONT GO HERE !
NO - Do not go here. Though I had some fine cleanings, their actual dental work is shoddy. I was told my old fillings needed to be replaced, so I had 6 molar fillings replaced over 3 sessions. Now, just one year later, my teeth are chipping because they are underfilled, and I will have to replace 3 of the 6 I JUST REPLACED LAST YEAR WITH THESE PEOPLE. Ive also already had to have a root canal on another replaced filling. What a waste! Save your money and get the work done elsewhere.
AVOID ORAL SURGERIES HERE AT ALL COSTS! I went here to get a wisdom tooth removed. They refused to give an estimated price prior to my appointment. I was already suspicious of this behavior. During the appointment I was told that it was gonna cost me $3800 AFTER INSURANCE. This is a place that is in network with my insurance!! They told me I HAD TO get general anesthesia for wisdom tooth extraction, which was not covered under my insurance. They also added a bunch of additional procedures that were not necessary but they omitted the fact that they were optional and not really beneficial and/or standard procedures. I ended up going to a different place and got my wisdom tooth removed for $180. No general anesthesia was needed, it took 5 min. and I had no complications afterwards. Dr. Rothenberg is an absolute scam artist. When I told them their pricing was crazy they told me that they dont upcharge and I needed all these extra procedures.Just google their oral surgeon Dr. Scott Rothenberg. Youll see many other patients complaining about similar cases. Dont fall for their unethical practices, get a second opinion!

2022-04-17Went here two times. 1st time the dentist very nice, but would intermittently stop my treatment to push for Invisalign and I was inquiring about prices. When I was given the info by the manager, I declined, and was immediately given different treatment.the 2nd time, the dentist (different dentist) was very nice, but only spent 10-12 minutes during my teeth cleaning before recommending a sealant for a couple of teeth. 10-12 minute teeth cleaning- that’s it! I went home and noticed he hardly touched any of my teeth! Last time I checked, teeth cleaning is around 30 minutes for a thorough clean.I went to a different dentist for a second opinion who said that sealant was definitely not necessary. Anyway, 1 star given because the technicians were so sweet.

2021-04-29This is the best dentist office I have been to in my life. I have been there for years now. I recruited my husband to switch over because the staff is SO NICE! We both see Dr. Nancy and we literally look forward to going to the dentist because everyone is so nice. We floss more bc we love them. Nancy has done superb work with crowns, cleanings, bleaching, identifying problems and everything in between. It’s very clean inside and I never have a long wait time and it’s in a hip fun area of town. I enjoy the music they play.

2021-12-15Everyone was super friendly and helpful—X-ray technician, hygienist, receptionists, and of course Dr. Alina. I do wish Dr. Alina would have stayed longer and done a more thorough exam, I remember on past visits she did stay for a longer time.
