John did an amazing job of replacing water-damaged floors in my apartment. The new floor is beautiful, very closely matches the old floor in the adjacent rooms, and the job was completed in just two days. John was very responsive every step of the way and quickly met all of the buildings requirements. I highly recommend NYC Floor Pro and will be sure to come back to them for my future flooring needs.
This company provides quality from start to finish, I called them looking to replace my floor, John came out with samples the very next day and we signed the contract on the spot. They were able to submit the paperwork to my building and get approved right away, when the crew got to my apartment they did the job very fast and left the place spotless needless to say that my new floor looks AMAZING.All I have to say that if you are looking for a reliable company that provides quality work and great customer service NYC FLOOR PRO. Finally found honest and reliable flooring company. I’ve been dying to change my floors for years and finally made my decision to go with them. I contacted few vendors but was rejected due to the amount of labor that was needed for the job. Few companies agreed to do the work but were quoting me in unreasonable price . NYC Floor Pro gave me a great quote and completed the work without any hassle. Can’t wait to get a dining room table to enjoy my early morning breakfast on my new floors.

My experience with NYC Floor Pro was entirely positive and actually worthy of more stars than 5. After my (former) housekeeper took it upon herself to buy a cheap, waxy floor product to make my beautiful hardwood floors shiny and absolutely RUINED them in the process, John assured me that he could restore my floors to their original glory. I was skeptical at first and alas, John kept his promise. I will never forget when I came home from work and opened the door to floors that looked brand new. He and his staff were professional, ON TIME, and I got the sense that they really cared. I highly recommend NYC Floor Pro.

We had a really good experience with this company. John was responsive, professional and delivered exactly to the timeline he promised. We were coordinating all of this from outside the US and I wasnt sure if it was going to work out as planned, but they delivered and our floors look beautiful!
We had SUCH a positive experience with John and his team. We had all of the floors in our apartment (1500 sq ft) sanded and polished as well as one carpet ripped up. The floors, which I thought were in quite bad shape before, look like new! John was punctual for our meetings and his team completed the job while we were away in just a few days and moved all of our furniture around so we didnt have to move it out! That was HUGE for us. Perhaps most importantly, I had assumed we needed brand new floors, but when John came to look at them he said all we needed was a sand and polish. Clearly new floors would have been far more lucrative for them, but he was honest and ethical about guiding me towards a far less expensive option. I highly recommend NYC Floor Pro!!
Its rare to find a contractor as professional as NYC Floor. Our project was on time, on budget and the workmanship was excellent. There was communication all the way through the project. I highly recommend John and his team for any residential flooring project.
The team did great work on our initial install and on our repair a few years later. When they discovered moisture issues during the repair they advised us on how to best resolve the situation without trying to avoid conflict and rushing the work. I would definitely use them again.

Even though it took them a bit longer than they expected, they did not change the price. They were thorough and did an excellent job. We could not be more pleased.

He let me test out different stains after they sanded everything down so I could be sure I knew what I was getting, and he kept me updated through the whole process, sending photos after each step. I am very pleased with NYC Floor Pro and John. My elderly mothers apartment got flooded and the bedroom floor needed to be replaced. Ive had to help her manage the various repairs from out in here in California, which has been frustrating -- except with NYC Floor Pro. John was courteous to my mother, did what he said he was going to do when he said he was going to do it, and did a great job with the new floor -- my mother is very pleased.I wish my experience with the other repairs was the same as with NYC Floor Pro.

They are a real quality outfit. Their estimate was reasonable, they came when scheduled, they did great work in replacing damaged wood areas and in refinishing (from dark to light), and they cleaned up very well. I strongly recommend using them.

2021-03-27I would highly recommend John and NY Floor Pro. I had some water-damaged floors in my apartment, so I needed the damaged section replaced and the rest of the floors sanded and stained to match. John knew exactly what materials were needed, and was very flexible with timing (which changed a lot on my end due to other contractors mistakes). The job was estimated to take 2-3 days but was done in a day and a half. Everything looks perfect. Easily the smoothest experience Ive had with a contractor in the city. Five stars.

2021-11-15John was professional from the start. He estimated a full floor replacement due to water damage, but also provided an alternative repair of the damaged area and thought he could feather it in if we could get a wood match. Well, we did, and he did. Excellent job, done on time and as quoted 👍🏻 I recommend his service.

He looked at photos of my floors and offered an unbiased, professional opinion, plus advice as to how to resolve it. Im seriously considering flying him and his team out to Switzerland to do the job themselves!

2016-02-22NYC Floor Pro refinished all the wood floors in my home last month and did a fabulous job! The crew was very professional and trustworthy. They accommodated my schedule, showed up on time and cleaned up so well after the job was done. I was surprised to see just how little dust was left after they cleaned up and left virtually no chemical smell. My floors look brand new and blend so nicely! I have gotten so many compliments on them! I would definitely recommend NYC Floor Pro for anyone looking to refinish their wood floors. Plus, their prices were very reasonable!

Incredibly responsive - I first inquired about new floors on October 28th and they were installed by December 1st, despite needing coop board approval. 2019-02-03I contracted NYC Floor Pro to install a new hardwood floor in my Manhattan one bedroom apartment. The job involved the removal of an existing floor, installation of sound proofing barrier, installation of a new plywood sub-floor and the installation of a new solid hardwood flooring.John was very professional in providing technical recommendations and providing the necessary paperwork for our strict coop building (proof of license, insurance and scope of work document).John did all possible to accommodate my dates and the work itself was executed as planned and on time resulting in a beautiful new floor. The two installers (Tony and Cesar) are very experienced floor installers and were pleasant to work with.In summary, I would highly recommend NYC Floor Pro as your next flooring company.

2019-07-21My wife and I bought a condo which needed hardwoods installed in two rooms and a lot of existing hardwood refinished. We already had a very strong flooring referral from a trusted friend in the real estate business, but we wanted to make sure we got multiple quotes and found NYC Floor Pro online. When the day came to get our quotes, the other guy was late, didn’t call until after his time window was up, and then was late again, but John from NYCFP was the polar opposite. From the moment he stepped through the door he was the epitome of professionalism and knew exactly what to look for and which questions to ask. He showed us a portfolio of his work, gave us a flooring sample sheet, offered some advice for ways to save money, and gave us a quote right then and there! When the time to decide came, the other guy came in a good bit cheaper, but John did his best to work with us and we happily paid a little extra to enlist someone whom we trusted fully to get things done right.Fast forward a few weeks to the job start, and our expectations were completely met, with John and his team communicating proactively and fully with us, showing up early, doing fantastic work, and ultimately finishing the job ahead of schedule! Honestly getting our floors done was by far the easiest part of anything we’ve had to do as part of buying and preparing our condo, and I only regret that we don’t have another job for John and NYC Floor Pro! I cannot recommend them highly enough.
