We took the horse drawn carriage ride last Sunday for our anniversary. Frank, led by Frank the Tank gave us a very enjoyable and informative ride around Central Park. The carriage was super comfy and Frank stopped to let us take pictures at many of the landmarks. Then, at one stop, we got out of the carriage and Frank took photos of us in various poses (with ‘Frank the Tank’, the carriage and nearby fountain). We will definitely use NYC Horse Carriage Rides for all of our future Central Park trips. Well done guys!!
This ride was amazing. My wife and I and the others with us LOVED IT. The Coach driver was funny, very personable, and he handled his horse with care and love. He was very knowledgeable and I HIGHLY Recommend utilizing this company if you are ever in New York.
I loved my Central Park carriage ride and highly recommend NYC Horse Carraige Rides! My guide (Christine I believe) was so nice and knowledgeable about the park giving a curated history throughout the ride. The day was 70 degrees in May… The park is absolutely gorgeous and the guides storytelling helped evoke an imagination-explosion and a sense of nostalgia of this historic city. The only thing I regret about this trip is not booking a longer ride! I booked a 35 minute option and was left wanting more. If you can, book the trip around the entire park. Out of all the tourist things to do in the city, this is one I will repeat with every visit to NYC. ♥️

We loved our tour through Central Park, and cannot recommend this company highly enough. For one, leading up to the tour their communication and information was excellent. They even send a video on how to find them (its super easy with the instructions). Our tour guide was Christina and she was friendly, funny, and a wealth of information. Our daughter loved having the opportunity to feed our horse, King, a carrot as well. This was a great start to our week in the Big Apple.
It was the icing on the cake, the cherry on top of a great trip. We booked a carriage ride at night to celebrate our anniversary. From the time we booked we received top notch service. Our driver was Anthony with his beautiful horse Rudy. Anthony was so accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable. He even called us to see if we wanted to come in earlier, which in our case we actually did, so we were surprised by that. The ride was through central park after dark, it was what we wanted, some might prefer during the day time. We were still able to see some good iconic spots, and there was wayyyy less crowds. Overall it was a great experience which we plan to do again.
Our ride through central park was amazing!!! Our driver was so friendly, accommodating,and full of great information about the park and city! Sam, our horse, was beautiful and well behaved. We felt very special in our comfy and classy carriage and really enjoyed the warm blankets provided. I would recommend them again and again!
I booked an evening carriage ride on Fifth Ave, past Rockefeller Center and through part of Central Park. My teenage sons, my Mom and I loved it! Our carriage driver, Robert, was entertaining and knowledgeable. Josephine, was beautiful and had an awesome personality. The lights shining through the trees were magical and taking a leisurely tour around the city, offered time to really look at our surroundings. Robert pointed out places used in movies, and historical landmarks along the way. I would highly recommend booking with NYC Horse Carriage Rides.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Central Park tour. Our driver was knowledgeable, friendly, and very accommodating to my mobility issues. It was great learning about all of the park’s history and details. We loved getting to feed King and had the biggest laugh over him. I highly recommend this company.
We reserved our carriage ride for 12/19/2021 at 2:00, but they were able to take us earlier. We had Mike (I think) and Frank the Tank. We so enjoyed our ride, it was freezing cold, but we had blankets and the carriage driver was extremely good to point out things as we rode through Central Park for 55 minutes. Our photo opportunity was great and we enjoyed feeding Frank some carrots! Truly enjoyable! Would absolutely do this again! Thank you!
This business was great with communicating all the details if how to locate them in the park and time schedules. They were awesome and it was the best way to see all of the park. Peter our carriage handler was great with information. Feeding Bazooka was cool.
A great and really well organised ride from start to finish. The website was easy and clear and we had loads of instructions (especially important to ignore the touts who could confuse tourists). Had the ‘VIP Tour’ around a FREEZING! Central Park but the big blanket and enjoyable commentary from our guide made it a truly memorable experience! He was happy to stop wherever and talk about all the film sites. Small tweak would be to ensure that the full things offered in the small print (the rose and the treat for the horse) are adhered too but tbh I’m sure if I had remembered and reminded our guide he would have assist (hence no effect on score). Would love to do a ride to 5th next time, sounds amazing!
Robert is literally the greatest gift we could have asked to receive. I cant imagine someone else touring anyone around because he is just so good and so personable. This carriage ride was the coolest thing we did in NYC at night. Learning about NYC, riding through central park, stopping for photos, and just enjoying the company. We had the most magnificent time. We 10 our of 10 recommend.
Totally recommend this experience to everyone. I did request a single red silk rose that was free and did not get it but it was the least of my worries. If you are a family with kids or a couple everyone will enjoy and learn of more things to do in Central Park.
This was the first horse and carriage ride we have ever taken. Its the first time to be at Central Park. We are so happy to have chosen NYC Horse Carriage Rides!! We took the VIP tour. Not only was the price amazingly fair, Frank was a dream! His facts about the park and of the surrounding area were awesome and very entertaining. We didnt just get driven past the whole park, either. We got to stop and get out to see many of the historic sites. All in all, it was more than worth the money and a fantastic way to check off an item on our bucket list! If anyone is thinking of doing this and doesnt pick Frank(owner and guide), Dad(driver), and Shazam(gorgeous horse), also known as NYC Horse Carriage Rides........ you are going to wish you had! They are professional and polite. I will definitely be going again when its Christmas and wintery! Thank you guys it was great!
We had a great tour with Tommy & Frank the Tank! Tommy was very knowledgeable about NYC and it’s history, even when he hailed from Ireland. We had warm fuzzy blankets and enjoyed a beautiful day in the park. Thanks Tommy!
We had an amazing Christmas Eve journey through Central Park. Weve done this previously with another company but this time was beyond expectations. Our driver Henry was very personable and we had more of a conversation throughout and not just a tour. Our family would like to thank you for a wonderful evening while in NYC for Christmas.

We had such a great time on our carriage ride through Central Park. First they are prompt picking us up and very friendly. During the ride we learned so much history. It was very informative and interesting all while enjoying the beauty of the landscape. The experience was wonderful… A must do when visiting NYC.

Stormy is a beautiful and friendly horse. 💜 We actually arrived an hour early because I made a mistake with the time. We were accommodated and taken for our ride when we arrived despite my mistake. We had a lovely experience on our 45 minute horse carriage ride.We booked online which was very easy. Found where we needed to be using the provided directions. We actually wanted to move the time forward a little and they were very accommodating. They sent us reminders via email and they were able to phone us to help with our new time slot.Our driver Tommy was friendly and kind, telling us little facts about the park and helping us take photos. Our daughter loved feeding Frank the Tank carrots.It was such a peaceful way to explore part of Central Park and would recommend. This was definitely a highlight during our visit to NYC.
We highly recommend the NYC Horse Carriage Ride. We liked that we were able to book and pay online, so there were no surprises upon arrival. We took the longest ride with 2 photo stops. It was an enjoyable way for 2 seniors to enjoy Central Park without having to walk. The hosts were very knowledgeable and personable. They gave us plenty of time at the photo stops. They clearly care about their horses. Overall a very enjoyable experience.
In a city where next to nothing is relaxing, this was a wonderful treat. Our ride was top notch with much credit to our driver, Tommy and his horse, Mary. Tommy is incredibly knowledgeable about the park and it’s rich history. He has a subtle gift for storytelling and created a nostalgic experience that we won’t soon forget. His sweet demeanor and lovely Irish accent made us enjoy our time with him more than the ride itself.Booking online in advance was a great decision. I wouldn’t have wanted to navigate through the pushy sales people circling the park entrance. This was absolutely the best choice we made while visiting Manhattan!! Frank was an incredible resource of information and taught/showed us so much about the city and Central Park that we didn’t know. He wasn’t over the top with being a guide though…he totally knew when to let us just chat and do our own thing, and when to give us awesome tidbits of info.We passed a couple of iconic places throughout the park, and he would have us get out of the carriage so he could take pictures (he is well versed in this too…busting out portrait mode and getting multiples of each shot!).He sang with us when we busted out in song, let us feed the adorable mustachioed horse Butch, and answered all of our questions.He was personable, funny, wonderfully genuine…and he really made my daughter’s 13th birthday sunset carriage ride an experience to remember for a lifetime.Thank you so much Frank…we had a great time and it was wonderful to meet you!!
Amazing time! Highly recommended! In spite of the sprinkles and at night we had a beautiful ride through the park. Our coachman Robert was a hoot and a joy of a host. And Josephine (we belive was her name) was super gentle and kind with a personality of her own. Our girls truly enjoyed the bond they displayed. The stories Robert accompanied key locations really added Oh Yeah! moments. From Downeast Maine, Thank You for the Memories!
When the sun is shining and the temps are in the upper 60s in late February in Manhattan, the world is a wonderful place to be. On our recent visit, my wife, daughter, and myself enjoyed a delightful horse drawn carriage ride through Central Park under the guidance of Tommy and his venerable horse, Frankie.Tommys easy manner and musical Irish accent made us feel like we were traveling with an old friend. Frankie did not say much, but his steady gait and rhythmic clomping on the pavement provided a cadence for our 45 minute ride. The park looks so beautiful from the heights of a carriage. Neither a journey by foot or by car can emulate the sensation.
We’re first time visitors of NYC! Our one hour VIP tour of Central Park was amazing. Highly recommended!! Next time we’ll take the other tour that goes out into the city.

Henry was AMAZING!! If I could give 6 stars, I would! He took great photos of our family, gave a great tour of the park, and was very friendly. He talked just the right amount. He knew when to talk and when to sit back and let us enjoy the experience. Carriage was comfortable with warm blankets for the winter. We never felt rushed and enjoyed all the sights of the park. Took my wife and both of our mothers on this tour, I go to NYC multiple times a year and have never gotten around to doing a carriage tour until now. These guys were fantastic. They were training a new horse so the owners son was driving and a young man from Turkey was directing the tour and giving us the info. Central park is rich with history, and it was very cool to hear it all. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who visits the city, you wont be disappointed.
My mother and I were spending a weekend in NYC and thought a carriage would be a fun night activity. It was absolutely worth the money. We did the tour of Central Park and 5th Ave. We got to the spot a little early like the email had asked and not being from the city was very nervous. I called the phone number given and spoke to Frank who was extremely helpful and calming. He contacted the driver and made sure to keep us updated. Rob and his horse Josefine (sorry if spelled wrong) were magnificent. Rob really made my mom feel so much better. He was engaging and offered to take our photos at great spots and knew SO MUCH about the city. We got to hear about celebrities who lived there, famous movie spots, and building details. He even stopped multiple times so we could get some amazing photos. It was not rushed but not too slow either. It was absolutely the best hour ride we had. The carriage was comfortable and Josefine was a doll. She knew exactly where to go and her feisty spirit was wonderful. Highly recommend!!!

Our carriage drive (Irish gentleman, sorry I didn’t know your name) was very informative of the park and very friendly. The Star of show was “Frank the Tank”. Loved the little touch that we were able to feed Frank some carrots half way through the tour. So happy to have read the website and see your videos of how well these horses are looked after.
Fantastic trip around Central Park in a beautiful clean carriage with a well looked after horse called Billy. Our carriage driver, Christina, was extremely knowledgeable and very entertaining. Would strongly recommend you book this trip when visiting NYC. There are other carriages who offer a trip around the park but non who seem to have the same high standards as NYC horse carriage rides. Truly a well ran company. We will definitely book this trip again when returning.
Robert and Josephine were wonderful! We laughed our way through the Park - freezing - but having the time of our lives! We loved the history - the stories, the movie references. But most of our our driver was so wonderful! We loved him! Thank you for making our short trip so much fun!
Me and 3 of my oldest friends went to NYC for a weekend to celebrate our 40th birthdays. We booked with NYC Horse Carriage rides because they had an hour long tour and we wanted to see a good bit of the park. It ended up being too hot on Saturday for the horses so our tour was cancelled, but they were so accommodating, they fit us in the next morning before we had to drive out. Our driver, Pedro, was fantastic! He had all kinds of information about areas of the park and the surrounding structures. He stopped frequently so we could take pictures and he let us interact with the horse, Clinton, and take photos. Pedro also took TONS of photos of our group himself and really went out of his way to capture the experience for us. He was great. I would highly recommend this carriage tour if you are in town and seeing Central Park for the first time!
Our driver, Henry, and his horse, Mary, were fantastic! Henry was super knowledgeable about the history of Central Park and kept us engaged during the ride without monopolizing our ride. He was incredibly well spoken and took the best photos of us on our ride!! Whatever you’re paying him, he needs paid more!!
We had a great time. We had 2 carriages since there were 7 of us. They stayed together so we could take pictures and videos of each other. It was 3 days after Christmas and the weather was perfect. Our moms said it was the highlight of our trip to NYC. They both would like to come back during spring/summer to see Central Park in bloom. The directions to Central Park were perfect.
This was the most amazing experience of my life and I will remember it forever! First and for most, our carriage driver Robert and his horse Venus were a delight💜 They showed us everything, from where famous movies were filmed in Central Park to the homes/hotels celebrities lived nearby. As if everything wasn’t already so special with it being Christmas time, they helped my fiancé pull off the most beautiful proposal. It felt magical, like I was living in a fairytale 😍 the set up provided by this company was unbelievable! The photographer took so many beautiful pictures, the videographer captured the whole thing on film, the champagne, the red and green flower petals, it was all so perfect! Thank you all tremendously for all you did to make this moment so special!
What a fantastic experience, I highly recommend this trip. The staff were very friendly and very informative. The photo stops were picture perfect and the driver made a great photographer too. Nothing was too much trouble and never felt rushed. The carriage was comfortable and was a great starting point to explore Central Park. Feeding the horse was a bonus.
Our trip was magical. We had so much fun! Our driver was great ! We got to see so many different things in Central Park. We stopped for several photo shots and got to walk around. My 11 year old granddaughter enjoyed it so much. Highly recommend. It was the highlight of our trip to New York City !
We had such an amazing experience! Our driver Matt was fantastic. He pointed out different buildings and landmarks, shared the history of the area, gave us some great tips on where to eat and took several awesome photos for us! The communication was great from start to finish, directions to the pick-up area were spot on and we were able to start our ride ahead of schedule. Blankets were provided to keep us nice and cozy and we even got to feed Nick some carrots at the end of the ride! I just cannot say enough good things about this company and our experience! Do not go with any other company! This one is the best. We saw multiple other carriage rides with their guide not speaking to them and ours, gave us information the whole way through. Told us all about the history of the park, people, etc. She stopped for pictures, didn’t make us feel rushed. It was such a fun ride. Worth every penny! Will do again… but only with this company! Thank you for giving my family a great experience!
My family and I came to NYC for spring break. The carriage ride was definitely the best part of our trip. Booking a reservation was easy. We went around the park for almost a hour. Our driver showed us all the cool spots. We were able to stop and get out of the carriage and take pictures. The driver even took pictures of my family. The best family pictures we have had in a long time. My kids got to feed the horse afterwards and he was so sweet. The carriage was beautiful and very comfortable. 10/10 the best ever!! I wish I had more cash on me so that I could tip more it was that good.
We arrived early and easily found our carriage by the explanation and picture of what to look for and where to find them. Thank you for explaining because there were many carriages and we are tourists to NYC! We boarded as soon as we got there and Robert was our guide with his horse Venus! Robert was fantastic as he was very informative and gave us tons of information on the park and the movies filmed there. He was very kind to our handicapped daughter and let her give Venus a carrot! It was chilly out but we were warm under a cozy blanket. My only regret is that we couldn’t go longer. We will definitely be back to the city and hope to meet up with Robert and Venus again to hear more stories. Top notch service and will be back again!

We had a wonderful time on our carriage ride through Central Park. My husband’s sister rode with us and she has lived in New York for 18 years but never taken a ride.We were visiting her and her husband from our home in Washington state. It was a very memorable part of our trip. Had a great driver and Handsome Jack was our horse.What Fun!!!

Experience was great! Highly recommended! One would never be able to get to see the park and hear the history without this carriage ride. There are other vendors just riding with music, but if you care learn about what youre seeing, this is the one to choose. Our horse was Winston and our guide was Peter. Both amazing!

We had so much fun on our carriage ride! Honestly it was the highlight of our day in NYC. Josh was our driver and he was both informative and hilarious. He accurately read that our group was up for fun and he brought the goods. I could also tell that if we had preferred a quiet, romantic ride through the park he would have respected that. Two of our group live in NYC and they learned many things about the park. So is it a touristy thing to do? Yes. But was it also super fun? Absolutely. Highly recommend.
Perfect snowy day, although a small delay because of the weather this was handled well with Great customer service (and allowed us time to have snowball fight in central park first! 😁) Our carriage driver was very knowledgeable and informative.Gave us time to look at places of interest and took lots of great photos for us, really looked after us with warm blankets too. Its beautiful and the guides are very knowledgeable, sharing lots of details about the park, the movies that have been filmed there, as well as the celebrities that live near by. This was such an amazing experience! We had a man from Ireland as our driver and his horse Hugo! They were both absolutely fantastic! We took an hour long tour through Central Park! We both loved it! Our driver was so kind and stopped a few different places to take our pictures because of the lighting at night! He really went above and beyond to make this trip special! And let’s talk about how amazing Hugo is!!!!! I absolutely LOVED him he was the sweetest horse I’ve ever met! He listened SO well to his owner! He was such a good boy! The man let us feed him carrots when we got back and take pictures with him! This was seriously the highlight of our trip to NYC! I strongly recommend this company to everyone! This is a must do while you’re here! I don’t have experience with any of the other drivers BUT I can not say enough how great Hugo and his Owner are!!!!!!!! 😁🐴

We loved our driver so friendly and knowledgeable not to mention an excellent photographer. Our beautiful horse Dennis the Menace was gentle and kind letting us pet him. Great tour (not rushed) the driver even let us get off at a few places, where he took numerous photos of us. I’d highly recommend this company to anyone.
Great and friendly guide. I booked this ride as a birthday present for my cousin and we absolutely loved it! We arrived 15 minutes early and was serviced right away. Our ride is Central Park was just terrific! We are from Chicago. When we came home we said we wish we could do it every day! Registration is easy and efficient and they keepin touch with you via texts. This takes any of the nervousness away from being a tourist and wandering if you made the right arrangement and reservation. No sweat. Our carriage tour guide was named, Josh, and we couldn’t say enough about him . He was so informative, funny and personable. We enjoyed our time with him immensely. My husband and I both loved this New York treat. . Please do it! Keep in mind the cost is per ride, not per person which makes it reasonable for the beautiful experience. Can’t wait to go again, and hopefully we will get Josh again!
My family took a nighttime carriage ride with NYC Horse Carriage Rides right before Christmas (December 23, 2021). The woman who was driving the carriage (I believe her name was Christina) was very knowledgeable about the area and the history behind NYC landmarks and events. She was very kind and entertaining! We had the option to book a photographer, which we did, and that was a very pleasant experience as well. He rode alongside of the carriage on a skateboard. The photographer got pictures of us in front of some great Christmas displays and notable landmarks/buildings as well as some natural shots. He was very kind as well. We would absolutely use this company again and recommend them to everyone we know! One of my favorite experiences during our NYC trip!
I had signed up for the Surprise Holiday Proposal. it went off PERFECTLY !! Due to the uncertain nature of the weather on that day, I called the office a few days in advance and requested an indoor stop to make the proposal which was the Belvedere. Everyone was very cooperative. We arrived about 1/2 hour prior to our scheduled departure and we were able to to start ahead of time. I cant say enough about this company. They knocked it out of the park, so to speak.

From the moment we arrived the experience was perfect. Our driver Robert was friendly, cheerful (despite the cold!) and very knowledgeable! The horse Venus was lovely and friendly as well, and very much enjoyed the carrots we fed her!All in all a lovely experience, well worth the money and then some!
We recently took a horse carriage ride through central park while in NYC for Christmas. We found the experience to be well worth it. The guides were knowledgeable of the area and history. The horses and carriages were in great shape and well cared for. On our particular morning, the temperature was in the high 30s and the warm blankets provided where a life saver. The tour route was well thought out. This was a great experience for myself and my family.
Of all the things we did in NY this was by far our favourite. All the horses we saw looked healthy and happy to be working. Our driver was very knowledgeable about Central Park and pointed out lots of cool stuff but he was no way intrusive and between sights he was quiet and it felt like it was just the two of us in the carriage. Our tour included photo stops and our driver very happily took photos of me and my wife together. We saw all the famous parts of Central Park and other parts we wouldve missed if it hadnt been for our driver. I would highly recommend NYC Horse Carriage Rides and if we ever return to NY then we would definitely do this again. Ps our Horse was beautiful and really gentle.
Frank was an amazing historian and story teller. He was so knowledgeable about the history of the park as well as the surrounding areas. He was able to give information about the horse(Frank the Tank) and his care and will being too. My husband and I would totally do this ride again next time we are in NYC, but at night - just to see things from a different perspective.
Ive been to NYC a few times but never took a carriage ride... I always thought of it as a hokey tourist thing. I am so happy I decided to give them a chance! We had a great nighttime tour of Central Park (I highly recommend night over the day... no cars! Nice and quiet!). The driver gave great info about the park and NYC and was an absolute delight.
This was my second carriage ride through Central Park (in about two years) with two different companies. NYC Horse Carriage Rides was the clear winner! Frank, our driver, was delightful and so accommodating! We stopped for pictures a few times (which Frank took). FANTASTIC! First time in New York and this has to be the best thing you can do if you are coming to New York. Our guide Oscar was wonderful and very informative with the many landmarks he pointed out from movie scenes done in Central Park to famous people who live in close proximity to the borders of the park. His horse Strawberry was well behaved and my kids loved that they were able to get pictures with him. I would recommend this to anyone who is planning on visiting New York.
Our driver was very informative. My grand daughters 13 and 14 had a wonderful time. The driver provided carrots for us to feed our horse, it was such a nice gesture, the girls though it was one of the best parts of the ride. I booked directly through their website, the owner was very hands on and helpful. Price was fantastic compared to others I saw. The horse looked well taken care of. Couldnt have asked for more.
These rides are always delightful. We always take the 55 minute ride thru the park and consistently love it. The drivers are chock full of interesting insights about the park and the city and often are the highlight of an already great experience. We are always comfortable and pampered throughout the ride. We book a ride every time we come to the city which is 4-5 times a year. Don’t hesitate to reserve a ride. It’s easy and worth every penny.

The ride was absolutely amazing. Was set to do a marriage proposal though due to a heavy snow the day of the ride it had to be canceled. Already had plans the next day though after moving them around they were still able to accommodate to the time I wanted and got a photographer on a very late notice. Made the entire experience easy and magical for myself and new fiancé.
I went on a girls trip to NYC and took the night time carriage ride. It was absolutely perfect. Kim arrived early and we were able to start our tour 30 mins before our scheduled time. She was extremely patient, let us get off the carriage several times to explore, and extremely knowledgeable (she was able to answer all our questions with no issues, and knew so much about Central Park). I will absolutely be using this company again when I go back to the city. Highly recommend.
We had a truly great experience with Christina as our guide. The horse was beautiful and well behaved and the carriage was very comfortable for our 75 min trip. It was very cold at 7pm when our trip took place so we were very grateful for the lovely, soft but heavy duty blankets. Christina took us both through Central Park and out on to 5th Avenue to see the sights inc Tiffanys, Trump Tower, The Rockafella Centre & The Plaza. A truly great experience and not only would we recommend to all but we would do it again on another visit. Our party was me, my wife and our 7 year old daughter and it was suitable for us all.

Who would guess that a horse and carriage ride through Central Park in New York City during the snow would be the favorite thing I did on my trip. We reserved 2 carriages for our family of 5 (4 adults & 1 child). Easy booking experience and our tours were wonderful! Both guides pointed out interesting bits of info about Central Park and the surrounding buildings. It was bitter cold but the supplied blanket kept us warm. We were thoroughly impressed with our carriage ride. Christina was very informative about the unique history of Central Park. We had a great time on our carriage ride! We reserved two carriages for a large group and made the reservations a while in advance. Everything was there and ready before our reserved time. We got to see Central Park, received some history of the park and talked about the horses. It was a great way to get off our feet but still see New York

I can’t say enough good things about our experience. Our driver was amazing great information and he was sweet to our 78 year old mother who kept interrupting him and asking questions he had just answered 🤣, he was very professional but also let us know about him personally. Christina was our driver. She was very friendly, professional and had a wealth of information. King was our horse he was amazing. We did the Central Park/ Rockefeller center. He was not phased by all of the honking cars and people yelling with excitement to see a horse and carriage.The process for setting up our appointment went smoothly. Great Rainy Night Ride!Even though it was a rainy night in NYC our driver was very personable and very knowledgeable of Central Park and the city. He made it a very enjoyable ride even in the rainy weather! I highly recommend them, and the only thing I would suggest to anyone is to ride during the day to be able to see the most.

We had our carriage booked for 1030am and it arrived promptly at 1015 so we started early. The ride was very comfortable and our coachman extremely informative about all points of note. He was quite knowledgeable about the history of the park and also pointed out all the film locations, ie Home Alone, Ghostbusters etc. The time given to taking photographs was good and created lovely memories. This was a nice way for my kids to see a tranquil part of the city at a perfect pace. Butch was a sweet horse and seemed content. We were each given fresh cold carrots to feed him. Our guide was very good at his job and seemed to want us to have a good time rather than rushing along to the next fare. He was knowledgable about a variety of topics of interest.

We rented two carriages on Saturday. It was absolutely magical! Although there wasn’t snow in New York the weather that day was cold and the clouds settled in on the park. It was so cool. Both riders were fabulous, shared a lot of great history, made a couple of stops for picture taking. They did a great job. Everything I imagined and then some!
Our experience was wonderful. Our driver Ralph was a great host, a pleasant to be with. Told us some history and pointed out many things along the route; which was the Rockefeller tour with some spots in Central Park. We would definitely do it again.

This past weekend I booked with NYC Horse Carriage Rides to do my proposal to my girlfriend. They went above & beyond to make sure we had the best night of our lives!!! I did the add on package with a photographer & rose petals & everything was better than I ever could have imagined. The photographer moves super quickly with returning all the photos and also added a slide show with music. This is something I will definitely do again. We can’t remember our escorts name at the moment but the horse that took us around the park was named Rudy. Rudy was beautiful & an amazing escort as well. Over all this experience was 10/10. Highly suggest
My family went to NYC in October and had a great experience on the carriage ride. The communication with the company was easy and plentiful to help get us to the correct meeting spot. We arrived about 15 min early and were immediately offered a carriage and a friendly driver. The driver was very knowledgeable and narrated the entire trip. It was fun to learn all about Central Park. There were several stops that the driver offered to take photos of our group. These were literally the only family photos I got the entire trip so I was very thankful. Overall a lovely experience. We even got to feed the horse carrots- which my 9 and 11 year old really liked! What a wonderful ride through Central Park! We made an online reservation and were able to leave 15 minutes early. Our horse was Lady Liberty and she was just as majestic as our Statue of Liberty. What a great addition to our New York City trip! We felt we got our moneys worth, it was a good value.

We had a wonderful carriage ride at midnight. Through Central Park and seeing the Christmas lights. We have horses at home and the horse was well kept, in good condition with a shiny coat and clear gentle eyes. We were very happy with our trip, the female driver was very informative, interesting and friendly and took lovely photos for us. All round an excellent experience thank you.
Ride was fine I guess paid for the vip package and didn’t feel like I was a vip! Had to ask the driver a few times if I would be getting any of the stuff from the package and was told that I would get them after. Driver was really nice and talked the whole trip but could bearly hear her. Asked questions about the ride that got answered in a kindly manner. Trip was over in 20 mins so spend the rest of the time taking pics with the horse.

Relaxing informative Central Park Tour! Our group of three will forever have wonderful memories of our carriage ride through the park with Frank and Frank the Tank. We received reminders about our reservation and a taxi dropped us off right at the pick-up point. The carriage was easily accessible to three generations of my family. Frank started our tour a couple of minutes early, took his time, and spoke in a clear soothing voice as he shared lots of interesting facts about the park and surrounding areas. We reserved our 60-min carriage ride about 90 minutes prior to the ride. We arrived to the pickup spot a little early but there was a driver there who took us right away. The carriage was clean and the driver was pleasant. We had a great experience!

The tour guide was very friendly and informative. Our horse was Mary she was a sweet girl. I noticed her not putting weight on her back right leg, but that could be normal I am no vet. The weather was nice and we were the first ride of the day. we took plenty of stops and they fed and watered her. Beautiful Horse. Got some really beautiful photos of our family as well! very relaxing listening to her trot through central park. An experience we wont forget.

My wife and I had a 9:30pm carriage ride with a coachman, Rob, and horse, Venus. Rob was extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of the park and it’s surroundings. He was also very jovial and we loved the interaction as much as he liked the sarcasm of both my wife and myself. I would recommend their service to anyone and I would suspect the spring and early summer would be the most scenic. However, the winter ride under a blanket with your significant other was very special.

What an amazing experience! My mom has always wanted to see Central Park but I knew she could not walk too much. This was the BEST way for her to see the park. Our guide was Henry and he was so great. He stopped to take photos for us (which looked like he really knew his way around an Iphone), he told us so much about the park from who created it, about statues, where movies were filmed and a ton of fun facts. Great driver, great horse (Yankee), driver was very knowledgeable about the history of the park but did not talk our ear off. Provided blanket for the cold. Reservation was easy to book online.
We had such a fun time and our guide was so personable and informative. She made it such a great experience. Billy the horse was the star of course and my wife adores him. We will do this again for the holiday season for sure.

We had one of the short rides but the driver was very friendly and personable and stopped several times to give us some great photo opportunities that we would never have gotten otherwise. We had a great time. Highly recommended!
This was a great experience. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers and everyone enjoyed it. Joshua was an excellent guide and carriage operator and Lady Liberty was a beuatiful horse. We enjoyed every minute of our carriage ride. Our driver was knowledgeable and fantastic and our horse was so sweet. We saw all the great Christmas displays, including the Rockefeller Center tree. This company is on the ball with communication as well! Highly recommend!
It was my honeys birthday and I once heard him say hed love to do a horse carriage ride in CP so last year I planned on booking one for him for his birthday this year. CP is one of my stomping ground so this was all for him. However I learned a few things that I didnt know. So that was great too. The horse name was Clinton. The jockey was funny, as we joked with him, Not a great photographer though so make sure you direct him how to take your photos and check them. Overall it was fun and informative.

We had a fabulous time on our carriage ride! Our driver and his helper were great! Informed us of all the different areas of Central Park, movies that were filmed there and took a lot of pictures for us. I highly recommend them and can’t wait to do it again!

We had a terrific time! The perfect ride through the park during sunset. Our rider Frank was very kind and knowledgeable. I learned a lot about the history of Central Park. We loved Lady Liberty; she was so beautiful and friendly. A magical experience we’ll never forget.
Despite the drizzling rain, the carriage ride was great and a must-do experience for anyone new to the city. Our driver, Giuseppe, was really chill and took time to point out landmarks, popular spots, and scenes from movies. He also offered to take our picture and let us feed his horse, Rudy, carrots. I definitely recommend this tour.

Frank and Eldorado were the dynamic duo of Central Park!First time to New York with my girlfriend and of course we wanted to book a carriage ride in Central Park. Frank was very friendly and provided many interesting facts about the history of this beautiful site. Our tour guide , Jill , was wonderful! She was informative and made our ride so much fun. She was patient when we took some pics and our horse Jessi was fun too ! I’d do it again the next time I go 😊
We booked the Holiday VIP tour for 55 minutes. There was nothing super wrong with the tour, but also nothing special about it. Our driver John took us around Central Park for about 50 minutes and explained some places or sculptures here and there. Comparing to the company‘s tour guide I think we might have also left out one or two spots. Our driver left a very absent impression with us, maybe he was overworked around Christmas time. The horses looked very healthy and well-treated.

Our driver, Henry, and his horse, Mary, were wonderful. Henry was very knowledgable about the history of the park and the city and allowed us to stop and take photos of the Balto statue for my daughter. Well worth the money and I wish Henry the best in his studies and future endeavors!

NYC Horse Carriages was great about keeping in contact with us, and sent several reminders via text message to confirm our tour and instructions for where & when to report.Our carriage driver Christine was very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. She provided great history and pop-culture references about the park and the sites visited. She even took some nice photos of us during the stop at Cherry Hill, and let us feed our horse Billy.We couldnt be happier with the whole experience. Thanks so much to NYC Horse Carriage Rides.

2022-01-25We had an amazing time on our carriage tour of Central Park. Our driver was very informative and it was nice to hear all about the parks history and see some of the areas we have not been to yet. Our daughter rides horses so this was really nice to see that the horses were healthy and happy. They were very friendly and we got to feed them carrots provided by the guides. Our horse Billy was so sweet ! It was a great addition to our list of things to do on our first trip to NYC!

2022-02-25My wife had always wanted to experience a carriage ride through Central Park. After a lot of research, I chose NYC Horse Carriage Rides and was very impressed with the entire operation. Scheduling was simple, the cost was well within my range, and the ride through the park was very enjoyable. Due to the size of our group, I needed to reserve two carriages but this was easily accomplished. I was very impressed with the reminders to my phone as to the date and time of the ride, as well as easy to follow directions for where to meet the carriage driver. I had a scheduling snafu on the day of my reservation and it only took a phone call to move it to an available spot later in the day. Will definitely use this company again and recommend it to others who are visiting New York City.

2022-01-10Thank you so much Henry and Mary for the most wonderful experience on 12/28. My family and I really had a blast. Henry was full of insights about the Park and surrounding area. He did a fantastic job of narrating the ride. The carriage was clean, and provided a blanket which we really didn’t need with the warm weather that evening, but used anyway. There were many beautiful stops with many pictures taken…Henry was awesome with that as well. The girls loved Mary the horse, and rightfully wanted to take her back home with them. We just had a magical time in Central Park. Highly highly recommend.

He was extremely knowledgeable and made the trip so fun. The park was beautiful and we got lots of stops and opportunities to take photos. I would highly recommend 🥰

2021-12-29I tried to book a carriage ride the week before our trip, but they were completely booked up. Luckily I kept checking and there must’ve been a cancellation one day that worked perfectly with our schedule. It was great to sit back and just enjoy myself and the views of and around Central Park and ended up being one of my favorite experiences. Our driver was great and I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to book a carriage ride.

2022-03-15Robert and Venus were wonderful!! Our private late night tour of Central Park exceeded all of our expectations. Nighttime views of the city are magical. Charming and friendly, Robert showed us famous film locations and landmarks in the park, as well as pointed out the buildings where celebrities live or have lived. We got to feed carrots to Venus, who is a tall, strong beauty and obviously well loved. Highly recommend!!!

2021-12-17A perfect afternoon spent in Central Park. What a beautiful park and what a great way to get an overview of the beauty of it. Our carriage ride was calm and easy going. Our guide started right on time and gave plenty of fun and interesting insight. He didn’t talk too much but didn’t make it awkward. Mary, the horse, was so beautiful. I appreciate that she looked healthy and very well taken care of.

2022-03-08My husband and I really enjoyed our ride through Central Park with NYC Horse Carriage Rides. They were very responsive and accommodating as we had to reschedule due to not wanting to rush after our flight landed and they were polite also. They sent out reminders and once we arrived there were ready for us. Our driver was very knowledgeable and friendly and we would recommend them to anyone. Thank you Christy & King (our horse)!
