Arrived to pick up my car, no attendant for 20 minutes, called the main office in an attempt to find someone. Finally both attendants arrive together - by the time they got to my car I had passed the timestamp for the next hour so they charged me for additional time due to their own fault. I brought it up with them but they implied there was nothing they could do, even though several of us were lined up waiting for them to arrive to the office, which resulted in being OVERCHARGED. I’ve never taken issue with parking before but steer clear of ipark scam and negligence.
I booked the over sized space through park whiz several weeks in advance as I was down to see a broadway show. The attendant had a terrible disposition and tried to inform me the had no space available. I advised him I booked in advance through ParkWhiz and reserved a larger space. He questioned me several times before actually scanning my pass. Then he left my vehicle parked at the edge of the end of the garage and partially on the street. After returning from the show. He proceeded to charge us an additional fee over the negotiated pre paid price. I called park whiz to resolve the issue. They did confirm that I did indeed pay the the correct amount and would resolve it with the facility. They called the facility and I watched as the attendant answered the phone , then place park whiz on hold and walk around with the phone in his hand. The park whiz supervisor after waiting several minutes advises me to pay and she would credit upon her receipt of the additional fee. The attendant never provided his name or the name of his manager. This s the worst service I have ever received. I will be calling the Manager , John, to make a formal complaint as well.
SCAM ALERT. I get there and they say that will be $39. I tell them I already prepaid online ( it was only $21), and they take my reservation and say okay no problem. I get back an hour and a half before my reservation ends and they and all of the sudden they wont give me my car back unless I pay them an extra $31 ($52 total). And lest you think this is just me. They also charged the people in line behind us more than they were excepting.
This is the absolute worst possible parking garage in New York City. The incompetency is truly unbelievable. We were parking here with a monthly spot and every time we picked up the car it was an issue. We call ahead and still have to wait a MINIMUM of 15 minutes for the car. Today, we’ve waited over 30 minutes (and this has happened in the past). Do not park here. Horrible business.
This place takes more cars than they can fit in their space. As a result it took forever to get my car back.I specifically asked for it at 6pm. They said ok. I called at 5:30 to tell them I am coming and the guy said ok. When I arrived the attendant told me they won’t move a car until I arrive! So why did he tell me “ok” when I called? The guy had no answer.
Terrible. They stole my iPad Pro ($949 value) and were completely rude when i called the police to file a report. The staff refused to provide their names when asked. They also said they did not know how to watch the recorded video of the incident. The next day I must have called the customer service number 100 times, and was able to speak to 3 people. They referred me to a man named italo, who never picked up any of my seven phone calls, then finally called me back and said he would review the tape in the morning and would give me an update once complete. Its now 4pm and I have yet to hear back from him. I have called multiple times, left voicemails for the CEO and Vice President... and still no response. This company is completely ridiculous and shady. They should be shut down immediately.
Horrible, parked my car and was returned back to me with damages. The employees are rude and were yelling at me, claiming thats how i gave them my car. A complete false statment. While filling out a claim I noticed thousandas and thousands of other claims in thier book. This is a bad place to park your car. I do not recomend anyone parking at that location or any other Imperial Parking systems location. I called their claims department # and the person on the other end was also rude and did noty want anything to do with my claim. If this is how they run their service business, I will go to great length to make sure that the public is aware of their bad business starting with the better busniess buraue here in NYC.
Horrible experience. I will never recommend anybody to park there. They are thieves, service was terrible (rude) and management is with them. However they have cameras and can monitor every activity to fix the issue and stealing personal items but they all are same. I wish I could complain to the higher management but can get the contact info except the person there saying he is the manager also no use, they dont speak truth and not accepting if I ever had the Radar.If management is checking please review the camera recording for Dodge (silver) around 6:30 to 7:00pm checked inThe Business name is IPARK or Imperial Parking - 304 W 49st Ney YorkPlease, please DO NOT park there and dont give them business.
Very slow service. I had to wait 25 minutes on the street before the attendant came to see me. There were only 3 cars ahead of me. The garage was uderstaffed even during holiday season. There was only one guy running around. I think he was very unorganized so it took him forever to get cars in and out.

2022-06-10The WORST customer service I have ever experienced with a garage. Upon returning to pick up our van (with our four young children in tow), they discovered our keys were missing. It took them well over an hour to finally locate them in someone else’s car. 🤦🏼♀️There was virtually no communication with us as they looked for the keys, and mostly the manager and staff just avoided us. The manager never actually took responsibility for the mistake. And when I requested a refund, given the debacle and making us more than an hour late for our dinner appointment, the manager told me “no” and instead, told me how I should be grateful because “sometimes things happen for a reason.” 😒Huge thumbs down for this poorly managed garage. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

2022-05-21This might be an unpopular opinion since I can see a lot of people had bad experiences here... But when I parked here it didnt feel that bad...I parked here on a Friday night to visit Times Square with family. I returned about ~10min before midnight and the total cost came out to be $21 + tax. My car was fine and payment was hassle-free.On a side note, I did try to text them 30min in advance before I went back to pick up my car. But all I got was an automated response saying its pending acknowledgment. In the end I just showed up, gave them my ticket# from earlier, and they got my car out in 5-10 minutes.

2022-07-28I went to pick up my car and the parking attendant (middle-aged Hispanic guy with black hair) was very rude for no reason. Will not be returning since there are so many other parking lots in the area with better service.

2021-07-24I wish I can give 0 stars. I booked the parking for a period 8:30 to closing, but unfortunately my show ran over . My husband arrived 7 minutes passed closing and no one was around. No emergency number posted , no call follow up call when we didn’t return on time. And when I asked the attendant what time they closed I wasn’t given an answer because the attendants didn’t speak English. So I guess I’ll get my truck tomorrow😩.

2021-11-08The worst. I called at 745 to have my car ready by 9 and I stood there waiting for over an hour. I kept going up and asking where my car was and they would just say “it’s coming”. What the hell is the point of calling ahead if they can’t even get that right.

2021-11-11Bottomed out my Maserati due to excessive speed in the garage and cost me several thousand dollars. Do not take your nice vehicles here as they are treated like the employees beaters. My go pro is always recording and I have the proof of negligence. Attorneys are involved.

2019-12-09Reserved through SpotHero. Terrible. To actually park the car took over 20 minutes because we couldn’t pull in to the entrance and the attendants were ignoring anybody coming in. When we went to pick up the car, we had an even harder time: the first attendant was eating and would not acknowledge anyone. The second attendant (who came out after 10 minutes) was looking for something and though he took our ticket, he didn’t time stamp it; rather he left it on top of the register. A third attendant came out after another 10 minutes. We got our car after 25 minutes. Luckily, we came back 30 min early to avoid an extra charge; but they did charge an oversize rate for a Subaru Outback.Super unpleasant. Not really right when you’re bringing your daughter to see the Christmas tree at Rockefeller center. Exceptionally bad, prompting me to write this review.

2021-12-07Dont park here in winter. Youll freeze to death while the guy at the desk watches YouTube. Then hell let 4 other ppl behind you get their cars and if you ask what is taking so long hell say lots of cars as if that should be a shock to you, a person standing in a car garage.

2019-01-16I actually had a very bad experience initially with this garage because the staff lost my car key. However, later its regional manager made a series of efforts to locate the key from another non-local customer, and this customer was kind enough to mail it back to the garage, then mailed it to me in a timely matter. I also got full refund of parking cost. I understand people make mistakes form time to time and mistakes cause pains. I didnt enjoy the whole thing, but Id like to give it 4 stars to honor the way how they fixed mistakes.
