I want to echo all the positive reviews for NYC Retina and Dr Feistmann in particular. Everyone at the practice was kind, accomodating, patient and professional, not only with me but with every patient I saw come in during my visit. Dr Feistmann took the time to listen to my concerns, was patient and empathetic and I couldn’t appreciate it more. Thank you to everyone!
Dr Hu is very personable and knowledgeable in his diagnosis and treatment. After three visits and treatment, l was able to see distinctive progress in my vision. Before treatment, l could not see words or letters in my cloudy left eye. After l began treatment, l was extremely pleased with how quickly l was able to regain my reading abilities in my left eye. Im truly impressed, grateful and happy to recommend t Dr. Hu to other patients who may be experiencing decorating vision in their eyes. Dr. Hu definitely knows his craft. 👍
So far the Male Doctor is been very professional, answer all my question as I spect any doctor do with theirs patients. Office are very clean and peaceful, the front desk staff are very friendly and the support staff too I feel good in the hands of this very professional family. 👍👍👍😃😃
I was quite concerned about a sudden change in my right eye vision. I was referred to the NYC Retina Specialist. I was seen by Dr. Jonathan Feistmann and his very proficient staff. What a wonderful experience I had there. The early morning appointments allowed me to arrive at work on time. The office is clean and efficient. I was treated for a macular hole by Dr. Feistmann and I’m on the road to a good recovery. Thank you Dr. Feistmann and staff for a job well done.

I have seen Dr Feistmann at NYC Retina four times and I have been thrilled with the whole experience. The treatment that I’ve received has improved the problems with my vision, that’s fantastic.But more importantly, the whole experience at the office has been amazing. Everyone who works there has been professional, pleasant, helpful, and informative. The receptionists, the technicians, the assistants, the doctor - all fantastic. I ask A LOT of questions because eye health has only recently been a concern for me. They listen and answer so clearly and patiently. I don’t feel nervous at all when I’m there, which is a big deal.Dr. Feistmann is just fantastic. His bedside manner chills me out, he is honest about what’s going on, explains what he’s doing, and talks about what to expect with calm directness. (He can also be funny, which I appreciate.) And of course, the treatments have been effective - my vision is improving.I told my husband, I feel like I’m receiving rich people medical care. I’m so happy I was referred to NYC Retina and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
I am male, 77 years old, wear contacts, play tennis, and go to the gym. I saw Dr. Feistmann for what he diagnosed as a macular pucker and torn retina in my left eye. Its been two weeks from the eye surgery and I still have two weeks remaining before I can resume all my prior activities. I am currently wearing prescription glasses that I got about 20 years ago. The most amazing result so far: driving at night, my vision has improved tremendously. Also, the wrinkles in the vision in my left eye are disappearing as I heal. The most difficult aspect of this all has been getting use to my 20 year old prescription glasses.
I cannot speak more highly of a medical practice and the doctors and staff that I have had the privilege of receiving care, support and them putting up with a very neurotic and worried patient - like me.After experiencing several retinal tears in a short span of time, Dr. Hu performed surgery to address the tears and provide me with FULL sight again in my left eye. Having the retinal tears and the ability to only see color and light with absolutely no definition was the scariest experience and created a level of anxiety that was difficult to manage.Dr. Hu was ALWAYS available throughout the entire experience; as were many of the staff in their assistance. I could not believe that a specialist doctor like Dr. Hu was responding to my text messages in the most incredibly timely manner and often early morning or early evening AND ON WEEKENDS!! I have never felt so much support and care from a doctor and support staff. Not only everyone at NYC Retina - but all the staff that assisted when I had the surgery at NYU Langone Hospital.BIG shout out to Dr. Feistmann as well - who saw me on a number of visits too. Just an AMAZING and empathetic team from the front desk, to the initial examining specialists before the Dr. sees you to Dr. Hu - who performed the surgery and walked me off the ledge a number of times - always with details, clear explanations, confidence and care - when I know that he has/they have hundreds of patients - I always felt that I was their number one concern and focus - and all of my questions and concerns answered (multiple times).I cannot thank Dr. Hu and the entire NYC Retina medical practice enough - or recommend them more highly!! This is QUALITY and A+++ PEOPLE and SERVICE/CARE!
Dr Feistman and his staff are excellent and I have been overwhelming grateful for the excellent care and attention they give each visit. Given bad experiences I have had during prior surgeries, Dr Feistman was able to help me feel confident and reassured I was in great care with his team. The surgical and anesthesia teams at NY Eye and Ear were the best. I highly recommend the care by the entire team.
Dr. Feistmann and his staff at NYC Retina are simply the BEST!! I was referred to his office back in Sept 2018 when my retina detached suddenly; Dr. Feistmann was very thorough in explaining what was going on and clear on what my next steps were to restore my vision. He asked me to come in early in the morning for surgery and offered to arrange transportation if I didnt have anyone to take me (which wasnt necessary) but the mere fact that he offered that was incredible. The following day he opened the office, which was closed, just to meet with me to monitor my progress. Dr. Feistmann was available on text to answer any questions or concerns. Fast forward 2 years after my surgery, I do not have any floaters in that eye and no issues - treatment was a success!I returned to Dr. Feistmann for vision changes on my other eye and he quickly performed an in-house procedure to prevent that retina from detaching. Dr. Feistmann is the best of the best; he is extremely professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, patient, thorough, funny, relatable, empathic, charismatic and down to earth. Im so happy that my optometrist (Dr. Galinsky) made the call for me to consult with him - love them both!Simply put, the NYC Retina team are amazing, highly recommended!
I recently had an appointment to have my eyes tested by the team at NYC Retina and Dr. Feistmann.I was extremely impressed at how the whole office ran like a well oiled machine. Everyone on the staff was great, including Daniel, PJ and Decca. They all were highly professional, courteous, patient and thorough.Dr. Feistmann was very nice and took the time to talk with me and explain the results of all of the tests and what I need to do moving forward.I could not have been happier with my experience there.
Dr. Feistmann is amazing. I had a complicated problem (following a botched surgery by another doctor) which had me heading for permanent disability. I saw 8 other doctors before I found Dr. Feistmann, who was the first retina/vitreous/macula specialist who knew exactly what to do.Having been to many Doctors’s offices, I’ve noticed that you can tell a lot by the staff. The folks in this office (Joel, Daniel, Jose, etc) are all incredibly well trained and kind. The most pleasant and compassionate crew working with any eye doctor I’ve been to. It’s clear that they like what they do and where they work. That also gave me the confidence to undergo this surgeryIt’s been a week and a half now since my operation and my problem is finally resolved. I’m so pleased and grateful.
Dr. Feistmann and the entire office staff was superb! I had an emergency visit on an August Saturday morning for a possible retina detachment. The office squeezed me in within two hours of my call. The front desk and tech. staff were friendly and professional - clearly experienced - as was Dr. Feistmann. He also referred me to a practice in Washington, DC for a follow up since I was just visiting NYC when I developed a floater. Their Covid-19 protocol was excellent - everyone fully masked, wait room socially distanced and clean. Top marks for NYC Retina! Thank you Dr. Feistmann!
My name is Dr Geoffrey Cabat. I am a retired educational professional. On Saturday October 16th I was at home and suddenly went blind in my right eye. I contacted my cataract surgeon who was able to put me in contact with Dr Feistmann. Fortunately I was able to visit his office. Both he and his staff were extremely patient and efficient. The doctor took charge immediately, examined me, treated me, assessed my condition. He told me that I would need surgery and set the surgery up for Monday October 18th at a NYU Auxiliary. He helped me get through the preliminary tedting. When the procedure had to be transferred to the main hospital he stayed until 8pm to complete the procedure. This was 8 hours later than the original procedure.During the follow-up visit Dr Feistmann and his staff showed the similar dedication and high degree of professional spirit and competence.
I was diagnosed with a hole in my macular that required surgery to close. Dr Feistmann and all the staff at NYC Retina were superb. Dr Feistmann has a calm and reassuring demeanor as he explains the diagnosis, the required surgery and guides you through post-op. Everyone at NYC Retina is polite, professional and efficient. I was always seen promptly and never experienced the all too common waiting in the doctor’s office. And the results of my recent surgery have been excellent. I have zero complaints and no heisting recommending Dr Feistmann and NYC Retina.
All aspects of my visits to Dr. Feistmann and staff are excellent. Joel, the technician who put drops in my eyes and took eye pressure,all things I can never do without multiple tries and great discomfit was done with ease. He knew how to make me comfortable and knew how to administer the tests expertly. Dr. Feistmann is clearly very knowledgeable and experienced. I got excellent treatment and results. Follow up is careful and thoughtful. All my encounters with the entire staff was respectful and individualized.

Dr. Feistmann is truly amazing. I saw him recently as a patient and he is thorough and his team are so kind, professional, and friendly. I became a patient of Dr. Feistmanns after the macular degeneration Id had for quite a long time worsened and I knew I needed to change to an experienced retinologist. Dr. Feistmann, from my first appointment, has always taken the time to explain everything he plans to do and answers any questions. From the beginning, he has has kept my condition under control with injections and treatments for which I am very grateful. He is always available to discuss any issues or take calls, and he listens carefully.Dr. Feistmann and his staffs response to the Coronavirus has been outstanding. The office and treatment rooms are immaculate and I have never had to wait to be taken for my appointment. His staff is kind, smart and efficient. I feel very lucky to be his patient.
I just read a bunch of these reviews and can’t agree more with all the praise for Dr. Feistmann. I’ve been a patient for years, but as I’m temporarily not in NYC, I saw a different ophthalmologist for a routine checkup, who noticed something odd and referred me to another specialist. I felt something was off and wanted Dr. Feistmann’s opinion. NYC Retina was able to set up a telemedicine appointment for me later that day. After explaining the situation to Dr. Feistmann, literally within *30 minutes* of our hanging up, he’d already called my new ophthalmologist, compared my previous scans & eye history, and called me back with answers (that luckily everything was fine, alleviating me of anxiety going into the weekend, and a whole chain of follow up appointments for a false alarm). I’m so grateful for such a thorough, efficient, and thoughtful doctor, who genuinely cares about his patients wellbeing. He is never makes you feel rushed and truly takes the time to explain everything. Thank you Dr. Feistmann!!

I awoke one morning with a large floater that was painless and did not affect my vision. I am a physician and since we do make the worst patients, true to form, I ignored it. One week later when it was still there, I happened to be picking up new glasses and I mentioned it to my optometrist who had a new imaging instrument. Imaging was done and I was told I had to see an ophthalmologist ASAP. Dr. Feistmann was recommended. I wasn’t able to reach his office that evening but when I called early the next morning, he fit me in that morning. He diagnosed me with a vitreal/retinal tear that had a high likelihood of a complete retinal detachment. He calmly and patiently discussed my options and went through what he thought was best. I decided to have a surgical repair. Throughout the time of diagnosis and surgery, Dr. Feistmann kept a close eye on my progression and stayed in touch with me. He reassured me that he was readily available if any of my symptoms worsened. There was never any issue with scheduling and his staff is wonderful. The actual surgery was successful and went incredibly smoothly. I truly felt secure and safe and that I was in great hands. My preop nurse at NYU also commented on what a great doctor I have. I am truly grateful to Dr. Feistmann for his knowledge, kindness, speedy diagnosis and expert surgical care. I am now fully recovered, my eye looks and feels completely normal and I feel great! You will not find a better ophthalmologist than Dr. Feistmann!
Highly recommend the staff super passionate about thier job and very friendly. Always on call and get back to you when experiencing any problems. Very good at doing necessary testing to determine the problem. Won’t have wait months for testing to be done. A place that surely care about your health as much you do. Trust your good hands as I search for clinic that be fast and resourceful to determine eye problems. Dr. Shulman is amazing! When you think that your world is falling apart, the doctors at NYC Retina give you hope and show you that theres a light at the end of the tunnel.Sounds rather dramatic, but thats how I felt before being referred to their practice.All the staff were very professional and efficient. Almost as soon as I walked through the door I was taken care of.My initial consultation was with dr Jonathan Feistmann. Calm, collected and reassuring, trying to allay my fears. His demeanour immediately put me at ease.After a very thorough examination, the doctor explained my condition in detail and went over the necessary operation step by step, even telling me how to navigate the hospital system. He squeezed me in for surgery as an add-on on the very next day.To my astonishment, dr Jonathan Hu, the surgeon, had telephoned me before the operation. He introduced himself, explained everything and very patiently answered all my questions.On the day of the surgery dr Hu kept in touch, phoning me twice, ensuring that everything was in order.After a long wait I was taken downstairs. Dr Hu came over and stood by my side. He again explained the procedure step by step, making sure that I had understood it correctly.I was extremely stressed out, but his presence had instantly calmed me down. Before entering the operating theatre I felt that I was in a safe pair of hands.After recovery, the doctor went above and beyond to arrange my transportation so that I could get home safely.Dr Hu is fantastic. Dr. Jonathan Feistmann is the best doctor I have ever been treated by. I suffered a detached retina, something I was freaking out about having suddenly lost my vision in one eye and he explained the process to restore my vision. He instilled a calmness in me that all would go well and it did.His expertise and immediate attention to my emergency has left an indelible impression upon me. I continue my routine visits with him for several years. How many people can say they look forward to seeing their doctors? Well I can say that I always look forward to seeing Dr. J. Feistman, pardon the pun. I highly recommend Dr. J. Feistmann for every eye consult. In addition, his staff is very professional and efficient.
Dr. Brandon Johnson is simply extraordinary. From the first visit he has been so kind, and clear, and truly nurturing. He is also a brilliant physician. And, when I have had questions, and frankly fears, about my treatment... he always responds immediately. I simply could not ask for better care. And, the entire staff at NYC Retina are as friendly and caring as they are professional. I could not recommend all of them more highly. I had the misfortune of needing an emergency repair of a tear to my retina recently. I was understandably terrified and felt squeamish about the entire ordeal. Thankfully, Dr Brandon Johnson was so calming and allayed all my fears. He did a terrific job and proved why he is such an expert at what he does. Equal parts professional and caregiver who takes the well being of his patients very seriously. Could not recommend him enough.
At 54 years old, I lost vision in my right eye due to something called CRVO - this was a game changer, to say the least. I feared driving again, playing all the sports that I loved and all things that relied on depth perception and 3-D sight. Dr. Feistmann saved my soul. 100%. He gave me hope and confidence that I can and will be able to do anything and everything that I used to. He listened intently to my fears, and alongside exceptional medical care, he provided me comfort, compassion and many reasons to believe that I was absolutely going to adjust and be better than ok. Dr. Feistmann is more than an exceptional and special doctor - he is an exceptional and special human. Additionally, the staff at NYC Retina are extremely kind, attentive and real. They are all incredibly helpful and have successfully created a feel good vibe in the office. Last month, I suddenly and almost completely lost vision in one eye. My own renowned opthalmologist was unavailable and he recommended Dr. Jonathan Feistmann of NYC Retina, a recommendation that itself spoke highly of Dr. Feistmann. Dr. Feistmann proved his excellence many times over -- he saw me on an emergency basis and correctly diagnosed my multiple retinal tears and bleeding. He performed surgery the very next day which was successful. By the time of the follow-up appointment in his office -- early morning on a Sunday -- almost all my vision was restored; I am since back to normal. Dr. Feistmann is a highly skillful and experienced diagnostician and surgeon who explained everything clearly and patiently. He immediately instilled confidence in me and my hard-to-please husband. Dr. Feistmann is also very personable and made us feel as if we were longtime patients whose care was his only concern. We recommend him without reservation! In addition, his office staff are professional, efficient, courteous and good-humored, coordinating patients and records with ease and care. Office manager Althea is especially excellent, and she is ably assisted by Jose, PJ and Cynthia. In a word, NYC Retina is eye-catchingly outstanding!
Dr. Feistman is one of the best doctors I have ever had. He is extremely knowledgeable and communicates readily about my eye issues and various treatment options. I have been going to him for a number of years and believe that I am getting the best treatment possible. He has an easy going manner which makes each visit comfortable. I highly recommend him and have already done so to a friend who needed a retina specialist .
I cannot imagine a more interesting way to wake up on New Year’s Day 2021 than partially blind in my left eye. Yup. Went to sleep the night before fine - no trauma - and woke up not able to see. And it was not only New Year’s Day, but it was heading into a weekend.And yet, by 11am, Dr. Hu had been kind enough to take my ophthalmologist‘s call and two hours later, opened his office for me so he could diagnose that, at 49, my retina had detached and I would need emergency surgery. Let me be clear - I was not a pre-existing patient. I was a stranger off the street and I think we can all agree, after 2020, doctors and nurses and healthcare workers had a right to a well deserved day off. By 4pm, I was scheduled for surgery on Monday at 7am; by the end of New Year’s Day, we had been given the personal cell phones of the entire office in case we needed anything over the weekend. Dr. Hu personally texted to check in and be our point as he handed me off to his partner Dr. Feistmann who would perform the surgery.Ok. I’m thinking this is just one pretty exceptional doctor, but then I met his partner Dr. Feistmann who practiced the same gracious generosity with his talent, his time and his bedside manner. He was straightforward, but compassionate; insanely confident, but never in the god complex way. He knew your questions before you asked them, but was kind enough to process the questions as if he was hearing them for the first time from you, not the 1000th time from every other patient before you. And just like Dr. Hu, he gave us his cell and his email and he responds to our questions oftentimes within minutes; sometimes in a few hours but always in a crazy fast timeframe given I have seen both his surgery schedule and his office schedule firsthand and this guy doesn’t look like he has time to breath more less answer why my eye is watering.The practice in his office is equally efficient and wonderful to work with.So there you have it. These guys are beyond awesome and while I am excited that my eyesight is coming back and we may get to a time when I won’t need to see them again, I will be beyond bummed to have to say goodbye. Dr. Feistmann and his team made the most frightening medical experience of my life a reason to celebrate the humanity and human connection of an amazing set of doctors and nurses. I hope your retina doesn’t detach, but if it does, please place your trust in these wonderful people.
Dr. Feistmann was amazing with my husbands diagnosis and treatment. He had a detached retina and Dr. Feistmann was spot on all the way. He knew what had to be done, how long each step would take. He has restored my husbands eyesight. I highly recommend him for any retina issues or problems you may have.
NYC Retina is just amazing in every way i can think of. The staff there is just very great and gives you high hopes. Cyntia has been very very amazing to me with all my visits and making sure everything was okay with me, I’m very thankful to have someone by my side like her. Also Althea has been very helpful to me. Doctor Feistmann is just and incredible doctor who gives you hope. He does everything he can for his patients and I’m very very thankful to have him as a doctor. Also with doctor Johnson, when i had an emergency he was there for me when i was in a lot of pain and i appreciate him so much. Dr. Johnson is truly one in a million! I genuinely looked forward to my appointments with him and was sad when I had to say goodbye during my final appointment. He is the perfect balance of compassion, trustworthiness, genius, and professionalism. Its very rare to come across a doctor as warm and well-rounded as he is. Dr. Johnson is extremely skilled and explains things in a way that youll understand while being very patient to answer any questions you have. I went into my eye surgery without any fear and came out of it with zero complications.I am so thankful that I got to be his patient. Dr. Brandon Johnson and his staff are unassuming and dedicated professionals.Dr Johnson performed 2 retinal surgeries on my eye in recent months. He is an outstanding accomplished surgeon and a caring and honest doctor. He always makes me feel welcome to contact him with questions, and to make last-minute appointments to see him and alleviate any concerns that I might have, and ensure that my progress is going well.His office staff is highly efficient and exceptionally accommodating.They also have an After Hours Text Service which scheduled my initial and a couple of additional last-minute appointments as soon as I texted them.
I was referred to Dr. Feistmann by my beloved ophthalmologist, Dr. Maayan Keshet, and as I expected, Dr. Feistmann and his staff are first-rate! All staff who helped me, from the front desk, to the technicians, and of course, Dr. Feistmann, were pleasant, patient, thorough and professional. My questions and concerns were addressed thoroughly, with patience and understanding. My most recent appointment was during Covid, yet I felt completely safe; all the necessary precautions were in place and adhered to throughout the office. Dr. Feistmann was great. Took me in on emergency, repaired and re-attach my left retina flawlessly. The surgery went perfectly and was exactly as what he had explained before the procedure. Very attentive with the follow up visits and the office staff was excellent too. My recovery was quick and I was able to fly back home 3 weeks from the surgery.
I’ve been visiting Dr Feistmann for regular checkups for years. The staff are always wonderful, warm, and knowledgeable—it’s great to be cared for by experts, particularly when it comes to something as delicate as one’s eyes. Would thoroughly recommend!
My boyfriend developed a detached retina, and needed urgent eye surgery. He started to experience vision problems in one eye while we were in New Jersey, but Dr. Feistmann’s office was one of only two covered by my boyfriend’s insurance plan (in New York) to treat him. The amazing staff at NYC Retina (special shout out to Jose, Althea and Cynthia especially!) squeezed him in for an appointment the very next morning, and surgery at the Ear & Eye Infirmary the following day! Dr. Feistmann even postponed his vacation to do this procedure (and a few other lucky patients’), and opened the office himself on a Saturday to do post-op check ups before leaving town. His staff operates an after hours text service, so we were able to get in touch about post-op care questions/concerns even after the office was closed! Something was wrong with my vision, and I called Dr. Feistmanns office based on a recommendation from a work colleague. He took me in the same day, examined me, and sent me straight to the hospital to perform emergency surgery on my detached retina, saving my eyesight. Dr. Feistmann is not only a brilliant surgeon, but a great guy, and I still see him for annual check-ups. I recommend him to all friends or family with eye issues.
I have been seeing Dr. Feistmann regularly since June and on emergency basis a couple of times, and I am very grateful for the best care I have received. Dr. Feistmann is a very experienced specialist with the best bedside manner; he flawlessly and timely repaired a tear on my retina, and has been monitoring my conditions closely. My job requires me to travel to other continents frequently, and Dr. Fesimann always accommodated my visits between trips to make sure that I was safe to fly out. I cannot recommend Dr. Jonathan Feistmann and NYC Retina highly enough! He performed surgery to reattach the retina in my right eye and literally saved my vision. The problem occurred out of the blue one evening while I was walking home from work. I suddenly started seeing flashing lights in my right eye, followed by almost total loss of vision. I went to the ER and was diagnosed with a detached retina. The ER Ophthalmologist said, Im sending you to Dr. Jon Feistmann, who is the very best retinal specialist in New York. I was able to get an emergency appointment with Dr. Feistmann the very next morning and he performed the surgery the next day. He is an incredibly skilled physician and surgeon, but he is also one of the nicest and warmest human beings I have ever met. I see him regularly now once a year for my annual eye exam and never hesitate to recommend him to colleagues and friends!
Dr Johnson and Dr Feistmann and their office crew (especially the surgical coordinator, Michelle) are an incredibly caring and responsive team.My retina detached while out of town, and I scrambled to find someone who would do the emergency surgery. I stumbled upon NYC Retina, who were so responsive and professional that I was practically suspicious--so unused to medical care that was actually prompt, professional, and kind... I had another upcoming flight and Dr Johnson did everything he could to safely enable me to take the trip, which I was thankfully able to take after a successful surgery. My sister unfortunately had an RD (retinal detachment) earlier this year. Dr. Feistmann has been a colleague of the physician I am employed with for many years. I had complete trust in Dr. Feistmann as he has treated many of my patients as well. Her surgery was flawless. She went from CF @ 1 ft (counting fingers) to 20/50 with her old glasses. I recently had a retina tear and came here for a consultation. This business made me feel so comfortable. The customer service was warm right after answering the phone. I have been seeing Dr Feistmann for many years. I went in initially to address what I thought was a vision problem, but it turned out to be more serious. He has always been compassionate, caring, supportive and highly knowledgable. When I wanted a second opinion he was welcoming of it and even made the appointment for me. Because my condition is one that needs to be monitored closely, he has always made himself available to me. I would recommend him to anyone who has any retina issues. I had never had any type of surgery before noticing a blurry spot in my vision one day. After getting it checked out at a local ophthalmologist, I turned to Dr. Feistmann to be my retina specialist based on his strong reviews. I was alarmed to learn that I had a detached retina and needed surgery ASAP, but Dr. Feistmann and his crew arranged surgery for me at NYE&E infirmary just hours later that day. I was naturally overwhelmed by the diagnosis, delicate nature of eye surgery, having to contact my family, employer and having to seek a second opinion in a pinch. But Dr. Feistmann arranged for me to see another reputable doctor in the same building as Mount Sinai before my surgery. The best part was that Dr. Feistmann was extremely understanding and composed in not only dealing with a concerned patient and his wife but also perfectly executing a complicated surgery amidst his already busy schedule. His staff was extremely diligent in setting up all the logistics with little notice. Dr. Feistmann makes it a point to communicate with his patients via cell phone (call or text) and also welcomed our general feedback in a later appointment. He was extremely responsive and established a level of trust with me before delivering a perfect surgery in a high-stakes situation. I am recovering extremely well more than one week following my surgery and give Dr. Feistmann my highest recommendation.
The receptionists/billing department needs to get it together. While Dr. Feistmann is a great doctor, his clerical staff needs to be replaced. It’s 6/4 and I’m getting a bill from 3/27 and please don’t blame it on insurance.
Theyre literally a life savers. I went in with diabetic retinopathy. They were the only doctors who saw me immediately. They treated me on a weekly basis. Two successful surgeries. Set up payment plans for balances not covered by insurance. Early morning hours before work, and answers questions 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Im lucky to found this practice
Dr. B. Johnson performed an serious emergency surgery on my left eye, a detached retina coupled with a macular hole, which the surgery was a success. It’s obvious that he has skilled, gentle, caring hands because postoperative there was only minor pain, which could be alleviated with a Tylenol. He is truly a professional, knowledgeable, caring , patient and meticulous in his duties. I’m so pleased that on follow up visits, my vision continues to improve and Dr Johnson genuinely shares in my happiness. He treats me like I’m his only client but, I’m positive that he treats all his clients in the same special way. Ive been going to Dr. Feistmann for about a year now and had a great experience with NYC Retina because they really care about their patients. I had surgery in both eyes and Dr. Feistmann walked me through everything, answered all my questions, and made me feel incredibly comfortable and safe. When the vision in my right eye seriously deteriorated I went to Dr. Feistmann. He diagnosed a large hole in the macula and performed a vitrectomy. When I went for a follow-up a week later the hole had pretty much healed over and I could already read more than I could before - he said it was the fastest recovery he’d seen.The whole experience at NYC Retina is one of competence, professionalism, efficiency, courtesy and kindness. Even the ambience in the office is pleasant, with garden outside the windows, orchids inside and soft music playing in the consultation rooms. It all shows attention and care and Dr. Fiestmann embodies these qualities.
I had a family trip planned around Christmas, and was to fly out on Saturday night. On the Wednesday before, I started seeing some small bubbles – I texted Dr. Feistmann and he saw me the same afternoon. I had a torn retina. Dr. Feistmann was amazing. He lasered my tear the next day and saw me every day until I left - even coming in to the city on a Saturday evening to check on me. I was able to fly as scheduled! Dr. Feistmann is one of a kind - he is very knowledgable but more importantly, he cares to find solutions where most people would give up. I wanted to take a moment out and give a special thanks to Dr. Jonathan Feistmann for being an amazing doctor and taking good care of my mother. My mother has always had vision problems since childhood and over the years she developed a mistrust for eye doctor’s. So when she became stubborn and unwilling to correct the issues she was having, Dr. Feistmann personally called me and explained to me the gravity of her situation and he walked me through what her medical issue was, what the correct treatment would be and the results we should expect as a result. He took his time over the phone and explained things in a way that made sense to someone who isn’t in the medical field. He performed surgery on her left eye and it was a success. My mother never again complained about being unable to see from that eye. Unfortunately her right eye would eventually need a procedure as well. After her second surgery, she caught a stomach virus and was unable to make it to the office to get her eye checked. Dr. Feistmann offered to make a house call and traveled to a different borough just to ensure that my mother’s eye was taken care of post-surgery. If that is not the epitome of professionalism and personal care, I don’t know what is. In all my years going to doctor’s, I have never come across one who truly made an effort to show their patient undivided attention and genuine care the way Dr. Feistmann has shown my mother. I had had cataract surgery a few years ago, and the lens somehow became dislocated. In his cool and professional manner, Dr. Feistmann explained the proposed procedure to me in laymans terms (with exhibits). In my then-nervous, blurry-vision, pre-surgery state, he gave me comfort and assurance. I was in a tough spot during the start of my last semester in college when I was told by a specialist that I had rentinal detachment. I originally saw two doctors at another hospital who told me that intensive surgery was absolutely needed but something told me to visit NYC Retina for a final, third opinion. Dr. Feistmann and his staff were welcoming; the engineers and even the front desk made me and family (who were already stressed out) feel welcomed for our first visit, unlike other places where doctors would just ignore my family. Feistmann did a simple non-invasive 5 minute laser operation on the SAME day and I was very grateful for that. He’s a good doctor and he thoroughly explained my condition to me, he put me at ease and he was very accommodating to my parents. No scare tactics like other places, but rather just the truth and the best possible solution. I just had my two-week check up and so far so good!
The care I received fromDr Feistmann was nothing less than outstanding. He saw me as an emergency patient at 4pm on a Friday afternoon in July and diagnosed a torn retina. He took the time to discuss the diagnosis and what treatment options were available to me. He explained everything really clearly. I was on holiday in NYC at the time and feel extremely grateful that I was put in touch with Dr Feistmann and that he agreed to see me at such short notice. He expertly treated my torn retina (using laser) and then proceeded to check on me every couple of days to see how I was doing even putting me in touch with various experts in California when I was worried about my symptoms and needed to have my eye checked. I will be forever grateful to Dr Feistmann not only for being an excellent doctor but also for being truly compassionate and providing an exceptional level of after-care.

This review is long overdue! Around early December 2018 my right eye was so blurry all of a sudden, like some dark round covering my eye. I went to 2 different optometrists, and they could not find anything wrong with my eye. I got panic attack because it was getting worse. So I googled Best Retina Specialist in the city and I found NYC Retina. It was around 7:30 PM and of course it was closed, but I tried to call anyway just in case. Nobody answered the phone, but within 2 minutes I received a text asking if I called the office and is there anything they can help. Long story short, I replied I said I need to see Dr Feistmann ASAP because of my eye. They scheduled me the next day to see him! I am so grateful that I have met Dr Feistmann. Ive been going to Dr. Brandon Johnson regularly since October 2016. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Johnson. First and foremost, my condition is improving thanks to this wonderful man. I have had a degenerative eye disease (ocular histoplasmosis) for almost 20 years and it is a constant source of stress for me. I came to see Dr. Feistmann while I was working temporarily in NYC and began having symptoms that are indicative of my condition worsening. I called just before closing time on a Wednesday and was given my choice of appointments the next day. His staff were courteous and expedient and his office clean and welcoming. The doctor took the time to review a synopsis of my condition that I carry with me and allowed me to see the retinal scans, which I appreciated. So you want, first of all, a doctor who is skilled, perceptive, kind, efficient. Dr. Jonathan Feistmann is all that. I had a detached retina last month and I feel lucky that he performed the emergency surgery to restore it. NYC Retina is also great for the way everyone on the staff treats patients -- like the doctors everyone else here is upbeat, polite, eager to help and willing to explain whats going on. With eye surgery there are follow-up appointments, dealing with insurance bureaucracy, things you shouldnt worry about but do and things you dont worry about but should. It really matters that the staff are there for you, as they are here. (Shout out to Ms. Manipon who, if you mention a problem, will solve it in about 45 seconds.) Ive been through 2 surgeries with NYC Retina and I find them to be, top to bottom, the best doctors and medical staff Ive ever dealt with.

I had went to my primary eye doctor for a routine follow up and he spotted an issue and referred me to Dr. Jonathan Feistmann. I was impressed by both his knowledge and patience. What was even more impressive to me was his willingness and ability to deal with me as a patient who was petrified of the eye doctor. To be candid I would have preferred to go the dentist and have my teeth pulled. I ended up having two eye surgeries a sclarel buckle and a vitrectomy to repair a detached retainer. The Dr. provided me with his cell phone to call and text after hours. It is rare in todays age to find a doctor who stills believes in providing personal attention. The best news is that he fixed me eye and has also cured my phobia of seeing eye doctors. I would highly recommned
I had arrived at Dr. Feistmanns office with the highest referral from an Ophthalmologist associate of his and it was the best referral I had ever received!! I arrived with ZERO vision in my left eye; a complication after a cataract/lens implant procedure 3 days earlier. This complication was a dangerous infectious MRSA bacteria that had developed after my cataract surgery. I arrived late on a Friday evening- was met by Dr. Johnson (another amazing Dr. in this practice) at the office who had stayed opened late knowing I was traveling from upstate NY!! My eye was thoroughly examined and it was determined after both Dr. Johnson & Dr. Feistmann had discussed my case; the best course of action to attempt to save my vision was emergency surgery at NY Eye and Ear Hospital in NYC where Dr. Feistmann, this highly skilled & totally amazing surgeon was ready and waiting my arrival! Dr. Feistmann performed a miracle that evening.. My vision had been restored within a few days after surgery..I was totally blessed to have been under this AMAZING surgeons care that unforgettable night!! Thank you again to Dr. Feistmann and his team of amazing Doctors at NYC Retina; Dr. Johnson & Dr. Shulman who all contributed that night and the weeks following for their outstanding followup care!!
Dr. Brandon Johnson at NYC Retina is first rate. He was trained at one of the best eye hospitals in the world. He is rather famous in his own right, so Im told by one of my other doctors. Despite being top of the field, he has a very nice, personable, down to earth manner about him. Not only that - he played a critical role in literally saving my life. He diagnosed a rare cancer in my eye, and knew just what to do and got me connected to the best treatment. HIs after-care has been tremendous. He is also very accessible, always there for you. I feel incredibly lucky to have found him. Im a fan of his team, as well -- the office staff and the medical assistant. Great people.

Recently, without warning, I developed a torn retina in my left eye. I was terrorfied. I said to myself this is it, Im going to loose one of my eyes. Feistmann of NYC Retina. Dr Feistmann is an ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon. He truly is a godsend. He examined me and explained in detail what the problem was and how it manifested. I was very nervous, but he assured me that the problem could be fixed. He was able to perform a procedure at his office using a laser. Late Sunday evening I was diagnosed with a detached retina and told to find a retina surgeon asap. New to NY, I called NYC Retina at 7 am and they were open and took me in immediately. I was losing my eyesight and very scared. The office was very professional, and everyone was very kind. Dr. Shulman saw me and explained the entire procedure, none of which I remember because I was freaked out. But Dr Shulman was very knowledgeable and her confidence was reassuring which was more important at the time. My daughter took diligent notes on everything Dr Schulman said, and upon reading them later, I was even more relieved and educated on this very serious condition. Dr Shulman covered every question I had, she was thorough, thoughtful and has excellent bed-side manner. Dr Shulman performed the procedure (injecting gas bubbles into my eyeball). She talked me through every step of the procedure (yes I was numb but conscious for this type of procedure), as to what is happening and what to expect (for instance you go blind momentarially). I was well informed before, during and after and well cared for by Dr Shulman. The procedure was successful. My eyesight was restored. I returned many times for post operative follow up, and was treated immediately, and professionally. Dr Johnson was available to complete my care with laser surgery, which was successful. Dr Johnson was calm and confident and he did a great job. I also saw Dr Feistmann for follow-ups and he was very patient and thorough. He answered my repetitive questions and clearly outlined what to expect with the healing process. This office has modern equipment, was equipped and had the skilled professionals needed to perform outpatient eye surgery. Considering I was new to NY and only had my insurance to suggest in network providers I truely lucked out in finding NYC Retina, they have the equipment, skill and expertise.

I had an issue with the macula in my right eye and Dr. Shulman surgically corrected the problem. The out patient surgery was quick, very easy and painless... much easier than I expected. I highly recommend Dr. Feistmann because he expertly repaired my detached retina in my left eye so I have perfectly normal vision again, and he did it by seeing me late on a Monday and doing the procedure the next day -- thats the kind of responsiveness thats hard to find.. Also, the facility on Long Island where the operation was done is beautiful -- it reminded me of a ski lodge in Aspen. Dont hesitate to call on him.
Its quite clear when you meet Dr. Johnson that he is extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to his work. But what also struck me was his ability to explain what I know is a very complicated procedure in clear and concise language which completely put me at ease. Often times my experiences with doctors result in me feeling more like a burden than a patient and this can be especially true for very specialized physicians. My experience with Dr. Johnson was the exact opposite; while anyone would be lucky to come a across a doctor with his depth of knowledge, in my mind, what truly set him apart was his caring, genial and compassionate bedside manner.
Doctors Schulman, Feistman and Johnson are fantastic. I mostly see Dr. Schulman, but Ive been seen by Doctors Feistman and Johnson occasionally as well. They are excellent doctors with wonderful bedside manner. They explain what is going on with my eyes in understandable ways and clearly explain treatment options. They also always see my on short notice, which is something that I truly appreciate given how bustling their practice is and how difficult it can be to see doctors on short notice in NYC. I cannot recommend them enough. I am extremely grateful for the invaluable care that they have given my eyes over the last several years and I look forward to trusting them with my eye care for the years to come.

About 10 months ago, I took my 94-year old mother to NYC Retina. My mothers macular doctor in Princeton, NJ told my mother that he could no longer help her, and that she was going blind. We went to Dr. Jonathan Feistmann at NYC Retina based upon a friends recommendation. Dr. Feistmanns calmness, optimism, patience, caring and competence gave us both hope from our first appointment with him. We are eternally grateful to Dr. Feistmann for saving my mothers eyesight. Dr. Feistmann and Dr. Johnson are both excellent doctors. I had two emergency retinal detachment surgeries and they both did a great job.Having vision only in one eye, I was a high-risk patient that couldnt afford losing sight in my good eye. I had a posterior vitreous detachment and they knew my chances for a much more harmful retinal detachment were heightened. As such, they gave me their cell phones, insisting I call them anytime if I had worrisome symptoms.This simple acted ended up being crucial. When I had some worrisome signs, I contacted them immediately and had emergency surgery. Had I not been able to immediately contact them or had they not insisted I contact them immediately, I might have lost my vision. They both went above and beyond to ensure I had the best chance to keep my vision intact and for that I will be forever grateful.Matt

I cant recommend this practice, and Dr. Jonathan Feistmann, highly enough. I am a middle-aged guy who had trouble with the retina in my right eye. I was seeing wavy lines, which was really disturbing. After being referred to Dr. Feistmann by my optometrist, he and his incredibly professional staff conducted a battery of tests with state of the art equipment, allowing Dr. Feistmann to make a diagnosis and treat the condition with a shot in the eye, which cleared things up almost overnight. (Dr. Feistmann prepared the eye so carefully for the shot that I didnt even know it was happening. After he had finished the injection, I asked him when he was going to give me the injection). After the treatment, Dr. Feistmann could not have been more attentive and kind, following up with text messages and making sure that I was in good shape. In short, five stars for Dr. Feistmann and his team.

I developed a detached retina and had been advised by my ophlalmologist to go to NYE&E since it was a Friday night and all offices other than hospital emergency services were closed. I signed my name at the NYE&E front desk at 6pm and the beleagured receptionist said to settle in because Id be lucky if an *intern* might get to me by midnight, possibly hours later. I sat down amongst the pained hoards in the waiting room, and was texting my situation amongst my friends, and one of them texted back that her sister had just recently had a detached retina and highly recommended NYC Retina. So I called, got a recording that they were closed, but if it was an emergency to press a number and leave a message. I left a message with a description of what I was experiencing, and literally 45 seconds later I had two calls at once from two of their surgeons. Dr. Feistman was the one I spoke to and he was as concerned and compassionate about my plight as if Id been his own child or parent or wife. In stark contrast to my situation in the NYE&E waiting room, I felt like I was the one and ONLY most important patient in the whole world, and he arranged for us to meet ASAP later that evening. He was already home way out somewhere on Long Island and dropped everything to meet me, even bringing his young son. From the moment of diagnosis to the surgery, he was as solicitous, accessible, compassionate, selfless, diligent, informative and generous as a human being can possibly be. He is like Ghandi, Mother Theresa, and a guardian angel rolled into one. The morning that he gave me the time and location of the surgery which was going to be at a surgicenter way out on Long Island, of course I had to find a companion to escort me back, as is the case after any anesthesia / sedation procedure, and being such short notice I mentioned something about finding a friend at this last minute, and he actually said if I couldnt find anyone hed drive me back into Manhattan after the surgery himself (!!!). Needless to say I did not abuse that unbelievably kind offer, I found a friend. I felt 100% taken care of and truly blessed to have this miracle worker ministering to the health of my eye and saving the future of my vision. I am really mystified how it was even possible he has time in his schedule to add a new patient, he is the kind of skilled surgeon and model of human goodness that Id expect would have a year long waiting list. If you have need of retinal treatment or surgery and can manage to become a patient of Dr. Feistmanns, you should count it as one of the most fortunate godsends of your life. I was recommended to this location by a friend of mine who had recently received eye surgery because she was at risk for retinal detachment. As a relatively young patient, I could see how the fear of losing her sight, compounded by additional medical related issues, had begun to weigh on her. However, despite these trying times, she would constantly tell me about how exceptional the staff and the doctors at this location were. The staff was extremely friendly and caring, allowing her a rare and vital space of comfort. Her doctor took it a step further in soothing her fears, explaining the procedures and risks thoroughly and simply, reassuring her that she had picked the best hands to confide her future in. A few weeks later, I myself got to witness this location first hand. At the age of 15 i was battling with a rare and serious case, and was at risk of losing my sight in the right eye. Dr. Feistman and Dr. Shulman were quick to discover the problem and make a solution. They took time out of their busy schedule to watch out for any disasters, scheduling appointments each day to see if Im alright, even calling my home (sometimes late at night) to check if I am ok. I show a lot of gratitude and grace towards them. If it wasnt for them, I would have lost my sight at only 15 years old. First the staff was professional and helpful all smiles and greet you the office clean. Top of notch equipment. They called me and took.me to the examination room both male and female nurse practitioner or medical tech didnt wait long theywere polite and made jokes to keep me calm. I forget his name but he was very good with working the equipment they both were. And they tried their best to keep me calm. Then Dr Feistmann came in held out his hand and introduce himself. I met Dr. Shulman and her staff about a year ago when I was trying to figure out why I couldn’t see out the far left side of my left eye. Dr Shulman examined me and it was discovered the left side of me retina was detached. It was amazing how quick Dr Shulman and her staff gained my trust. Dr Shulman educated me and clearly explained my options. Dr Shulman and her staff got me into the OR within days for the surgery that saved my vision. I’m am forever grateful. This office is amazing. I have Marfans Syndrome, which is a connective tissue disorder, so I will be a frequent visitor to the office so Dr Shulman can keep a close eye on my retinas.

All i can say is WOW!!!! I stepped off a plane coming into NY from Tampa and started having problems with my vision. I called the office to ask about their out of town emergency policy and Althea quickly worked to get me an appointment within the hour! We showed up to the queens office, and were greeted by probably the friendliest staff I’ve ever met in a dr’s office. They worked quickly to perform the tasks needed to confirm a diagnosis. Then on to Dr. Johnathan Feistmann, HE ABSOLUTELY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND HIS DUTIES AS A DR. Words can not express the thanks I have for this man! His bed side manner is second to none, making a very stressful time rather easy going. My most deepest and sincerest thank you’s!
After doing some research of my own, I finally decided to go see Dr. Johnson, Brandon. Overall my experience was wonderful, he is very pleasant and answered all my questions. I went to get a second opinion on my condition and he took his time to answer, read the records and didnt rush. He even refer me to another specialist and send his note right away so that I can make an appointment. The wait was not long at all. I am very satisfy and I will continue to see him.
EVERYONE who works at this office is so kind and wonderful, I can’t recommend them highly enough! I’ve been taking my son to see Dr. Johnson and Dr. Shulman for the past few months to monitor his retinopathy. He was born extremely prematurely and was in the NICU the first four months of his life. We went to NYC Retina post discharge from the NICU. Though they appear to have mostly adult patients, they were all incredibly accommodating and welcoming to my son and I.

Everyday I thank God for Dr. Friestman. Years ago he fixed a very severe detached retina and recently he opened the office on a Sunday to examine me when I had minor symptoms of a new slight tear in the retina. I have near perfect vision again.

I was upset and questioned the lady HOW did u guys obtain my mom’s information as well as insurance documentations if I didn’t call to make the appointment!!! Obviously, they don’t know how to work their system.. maybe they need to train their personnel first! This is ridiculous; I just told the girl if u can’t make the appointment for tomorrow (what I had made two weeks ago) then I’ll just have to find another doctor’s place! N obviously they’re not willing to accommodate, so I just told them have a nice day and hung up!

I made a reservation online and I called the office to follow up and they are very rude, they said that they dont offer anymore the services that they announced in their website and that I should disregard their website information and then they hang up on me without offer any solution. totally garbage, dont waste your time on them. very unprofessional

A big thank you to Dr. Feistmann for helping my dad to recover his left side eyesight from macular degeneration. Below is my mothers testimony in Chinese.At the beginning of this year, my husband complained that his left eye could not see clearly and was deformed. We hurried to see the ophthalmology department. After the doctor had done all the examinations, it was said that it was a retinal tear, which could be repaired by surgery, or it might get better after a while. When I heard of surgery, my husband was very resistant and didnt want to do it. But the doctor still introduced Dr. Feistmann, a surgical expert, to us. After half a month, the situation seemed to be getting worse and worse. Even if I was sitting across the table, my husband saw me like an alien, with his eyes and nose sunken. We decided to see the doctor, and listen to him. After Dr. Feistmann carefully completed the examination, he recommended surgery, and introduced the condition of the eyes and the details of the operation in detail, and he was sure of the success rate of the operation, which made us feel the professional knowledge of Dr. Feistmann. With the benevolence of the doctors, we have a lot of peace of mind. After returning home, the husband still had some worries. The children went up to check the doctors introduction. They knew that they were top-notch ophthalmologists with rich experience, and they were very experienced in performing such operations and had a high success rate. We have confidence and decided to have surgery.On April 26/18, the day of the operation, we came to the Long Island Eye Center early in the morning. The comfortable environment and the enthusiasm and care of the medical staff made people feel at ease. About 45 minutes after the husband entered the operating room, we already saw him drinking juice. The doctor told us that the operation went smoothly. After returning home, just follow the instructions and rest. We all breathed a sigh of relief.After returning home, the husband followed the doctors instructions very much. One week later, he was slowly able to see things clearly. Everyone was very happy!Now, he has returned to his normal work and life, and I am no longer an alien. Thank you Dr. Feistmann Gao Ming for his superb medical skills, allowing my husband to see the light again and have a normal life. Really grateful!!
Dr Jonathan Feistmann is a great specialist with a lot of experience, wisdom and a lot of honesty, and all the people who work there are a great team, both in Queens and in Manhatan they do an excellent job. God bless you all.

2022-02-08I can’t thank Dr.Feistmann enough for the incredible surgery and care he performed on my eye!I had a retina detachment and he performed emergency surgery on the same day I saw him.He is , not only a great surgeon, but also a really straightforward caring person.He and his team have been wonderful trying to make me feel comfortable and trying to accommodate me every time …He saved my eye and I will be always grateful for what he has done!I was extremely lucky to have found him during this unlucky situation…

2022-04-16Had complications following Cataract surgery. Dr.Feistmann was recommended to me but I first saw 2 other doctors but felt most confident with Dr Feistmann. I made the right choice. Not only did he do an excellent repair but was very kind and available. Made me feel like I was not alone.He does not just come across as a doctor but also as a caring human .

While these qualities alone would make him a terrific choice to handle a significant retina problem, what sets Dr. Feistmann apart is his unparalleled and truly unbelievable responsiveness and availability. I had a retinal tear that turned into a detachment. This was an objectively terrifying experience, as I was in actual danger of losing my vision. But I wasn’t terrified because I trusted my doctor and could text him with questions, concerns, and worries, no matter the time or day of the week. Have you ever had a doctor you could text on a Sunday evening? Having this level of communication with your doctor completely transforms the experience of going through a scary medical situation. My surgery was easy and successful and I have had no complications since. I am supremely grateful to Dr. Feistmann.

2022-01-11If youre looking at reviews to decide on whether to go to this practice, dont even hesitate for one second to go here! Dr. Feistmann and really every single person in that office are simply the best and the nicest. I had a scary emergency retinal tear and this office fit me in last minute. Dr. Feistmann explained everything in a calm, direct manner keeping expectations realistic. I wish every doctor had this manner. The Dr. also called me back on a Sunday within 5 minutes of leaving a message with the service at the office when I was nervous about something after the laser surgery. I mean who does that?? Everyone in the office is just lovely and professional. I feel really lucky to have found NYC Retina to take care of my eyes for life.

2021-09-01I have been going to Dr. Feistmann for a little over a year now, and have always been impressed with his capabilities and candor. He always takes the time to explain the ins and outs of my diagnosis and treatment, and never makes me feel like I am wasting his time with my numerous questions.I want to also highlight his technician Joel, who on my last visit, was the epitome of professionalism. Throughout his examination, he took care to make sure I was comfortable and informed. Cannot recommend this location and these practitioners enough!

2021-10-31Dr. Feistmann and his whole team is just absolutely amazing. He always explains the ins and outs of my diagnosis and the reasoning behind it, and never makes me feel like I am wasting his time with all the questions I have.I was so nervous about the eye surgery, but the team was always available and responsive on the text, with whatever minor query I might be having. Last, but not least, it might not seem like when you meet him first, but Dr. Feistmann is really funny.No complaints and highly recommend Dr. Feistmann and NYC Retina.

2021-11-13I needed to get the holes on my eyes sealed before getting PRK surgery which is what led me to Dr. Feistmann. He was super professional, walked me through everything and made me feel very comfortable. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone seeking a Retina Specialist. Also, the staff is very efficient.
