Samantha was a delightful tour guide. Her knowledge of the neighborhoods combined with a charming personality were the perfect mix for an amazing, educational, and delicious food tour. All the stops were great, a nice mix of sweet and savory as well as Italian and Asian.
This food tour was awesome! It is great learning about the history and the food from the locals. Stefan was a great tour guide very knowledgeable. And the food was so yummy! Definitely recommend this tour whether a first timer in NYC or not!
Nate was a great tour guide and used all of his experience as a NYU student and local to give great accounts from his own experiences and others he’s met living in the city. You could tell he was genuinely interested and excited in the history he was talking about. Great experience, and once again Nate was great.
This tour is such an amazing way to explore Lower Manhattan and learn about the history of the area. I was dubious when my boyfriend booked us in to the Ghosts and Gangsters tour but the stories are really fascinating and I had so much fun. Our guide Nate was super knowledgeable, friendly and funny and I couldn’t recommend this tour enough!
Had a great evening at the Gansters and Ghosts Tour with Stefan. He was a great storyteller and engaging local historian. More gangsters than ghosts but it was a super way to spend an evening. Highly recommended.
The food tour with Stefan was great, he was knowledgeable about the neighborhood. The food spots had short lines and I left very full. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn about the neighborhood and try some cuisine local to the neighborhood!
So glad I made the food Tour of Chinatown & Little Italy with Liz a part of my NYC trip. It was such a wonderful time. I loved it and will be telling everyone I know who is visiting New York about it!
We have a tour company in Chicago and love to check out others when we travel. This tour was defiantly top notch and won’t disappoint. It was actually kinda fun taking the ferry and riding the NYC subway rather than sitting on a bus in traffic all day! Highly recommend!
The all-day tour with Liz was an absolute treat. Coming from the Midwest I was intimidated to spend my first weekend in New York but by the end of the day I felt like a real city girl!! Comfortable shoes are a must but I absolutely got my steps in for the day.
Awesome little tour. A great way to spend two or so hours. Will add ‘life’ to your journeys around lower Manhattan. Nate was a very knowledgeable and personable host too!
Im a firm believer that the best way to know a city is to eat your way through it. Our family had a strong interest in visiting both Chinatown and Little Italy and a food tour, with a bit of history thrown in was the perfect solution!We sampled Hong Kong style sponge cake, something I didnt know I needed in my life until today, feasted on delicious pan fried dumplings, enjoyed a ny slice and finished with tasty morsels of cannoli. Stefan was a friendly and informative guide and my six kids alll gave a 10 out of 10 would recommend level review.
I took the city tour and Stefan was a great guide!! The whole experience was really good and pleasant. Learned a lot of things about NYC that I didnt know. Highly recommended.
This tour was pretty mediocre in my opinion! our guide was nice and friendly, but I felt it had some of the least local information of a tour I’ve been on. food was fine but I felt like mostly we were hitting up the spots with short lines - not my fav versions of the food.
We did the food tour of chinatown and little italy This was an amazing tour. We go to see a lot, we learned a lot and more importantly ate a lot. Recommend this tour to anyone that wants a large variety of cuisine. The guide Stefan was knowledgeable and answered all of my questions and gave great recommendations.
One of the best tours Ever. Guide Stefan was very kind and patience. He showed a lot of knowledge about NY and the main stop points, always careful about our safety.
Seth knew a ton about all the Gangsters and all the ghosts... We had a great time and learned a lot of fun facts. Seth was very flexible with breaks. We ate gelato where the mob ate gelato. We also enjoyed the ghost stories and the finale in Washington park. It was a great experience all around. We recommend it for everyone!

Loved the Food Tour of Chinatown/Little Italy with Liz - I recently moved into the neighborhood and wanted to try out some of the best spots. The hole in the wall dumpling place was especially charming.
Well informed, pedagogical and nice guide. We went with three children and they all enjoyed it. I recommend it to all who visit NY and want to know more about Little Italy and Chinatown.

Nate was a great tour guide; very kind, witty, and knowledgeable! Our group gained a lot of insight into the histories of NYC from gangsters to ghosts over the past couple hundred years. Definitely recommend!
We signed up for The Gangsters and Ghost tour at the last minute and I’m glad we did. Nate, our guide, was well informed and entertaining. When asked questions, he answered them completely and was able to sew the answer to something else on the tour. He had many stories to tell and I learned from each of them. There were some rather creepy ghost stories too.The walking wasn’t difficult and mostly flat. If you’re in the area, this is an excellent walking tour.

2022-05-09Five star tour. Stefan was amazing. He has decades of travel guide experience and knowledge. He was accommodative, flexible, kind and cool.He knows all the great spots and lives in the neighborhood. Little Italy and China town food tour was great. We will be back with kids for a full day tour with him.

2022-04-11I was looking for a tour that captures as much of NY in one day and this is exactly what I was looking for. The All Day City tour covered Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, St. Patricks Cathedral, One World Trade Center, Wall Street along with the Bull, AND a Ferry to get up close to the Statue of Liberty. All of this in one tour. By chance, when we took the ferry there was a little bit of rain that caused a rainbow and it was quite beautiful (see photo below). The tour was led very well by Stefan and Liz as we had a break for food during the tour. Stefan and Liz also recommended a dinner restaurant that was incredible. 10/10 do recommend this tour and get ready to learn a lot of fun facts!

2022-04-13My friends and I took the All Day City Tour with Stefan and it was INCREDIBLE. I feel like we saw everything and learned so much, they had such localized and interesting knowledge to share. The group was small and it felt really personalized, definitely cooler than just taking a big bus. The tour ended on the ferry and we got to see the statue of liberty from the water. HIGHLY recommend

2022-06-04Stefan was terrific! The food choices were excellent and we had plenty to eat throughout the tour. It was a quick two hours but we learned a lot of history while walking through some beautiful neighborhoods. I have been on food tours before where I felt like I barely ate anything. That was definitely not the case here. And he also helped us with some shopping tips for Chinatown after the tour. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone! There was an older couple in our group and they had no trouble keeping up. It was not too much walking.

2022-04-11We took the All Day City Tour with Stefan and Liz and it was an awesome experience. Im fairly new to the city and I feel like I saw everything and learned so much about the city, things my native New Yorker friends didnt know. Central Park, World Trade Center, St. Patricks Cathedral were some of the places we saw and we stopped at this great little NY deli. The tour ended on the ferry and we got to see the statue of liberty from the water and a very beautiful panorama of the Manhattan and Brooklyn skylines. I would whole heartedly recommend the tour.

2022-06-14We did the food tour of Chinatown and Little Italy. If you are looking to venture into the more ethnic areas of the city in order to gain more insight, recommendations and confidence on where to go - plus eat yummy food - this is a great option! However, I’m not going to lie, when we arrived 25 minutes early (asked to arrive 15 minutes early), we were concerned we were in the wrong place. The meeting spot was on an out of the way side street in Chinatown. We didn’t see a sign for the touring company or any other indication that we were in the right spot. We stood there for about 5 minutes before we were verbally accosted by what appeared to be a homeless guy asking for $20 and calling me and my daughter “old woman” he even started to chase after my daughter when she tried to walk away. After that, we moved up to a busy street corner until we saw others approach the same address - looking around to figure out if it was the right spot. The whole reason we chose a guided tour was to feel comfortable in parts of the city we were not familiar with and didn’t want to venture out in on our own. Once we all gathered and the tour director appeared, we immediately felt better about the tour. We stopped at two places in Chinatown and had sponge cake and dumplings. In Little Italy, we had pizza and cannolis. All of the food was really good. The tour guide did a great job calling ahead in a timely manner to ensure the food was ready. Group seating options weren’t coordinated or always ideal. That detracted from the group atmosphere and from being able to hear everything the guide had to say. But, I’m not sure that can be addressed. The tour guide was super personable, lived in Chinatown and was knowledgeable and conveyed colorful stories about both areas highlighting historical accounts and speculation on a variety of interesting situations over the years. As we walked from food stop to food stop, she pointed out establishments she frequents, highlighted sites of historical events and made recommendations on shops and eateries. We enjoyed the tour a lot. I would definitely recommend it. My advice to the Tour company is to provide professional signage for this meeting spot and for the guide to be waiting 30 minutes in advance of the start or to start it in a different location. A name tag with the name of the guide and tour company would also be helpful. Looking forward to returning to NYC to do another tour!

2022-07-06Not a good experience. I’ve been a part of many food tours. The fun of these tours is that you try food you wouldn’t have otherwise tried, you learn about the neighborhood, and walk away having had an experience you couldn’t have curated on your own. This did not happen with this tour. Our guide was not dynamic or interesting. We didn’t feel like a unified group. The food could easily have been ordered before we arrived by our guide calling ahead, but instead we stood outside on the sidewalk for ten minutes at each spot. The food selection tasted good, but everything we tried were very tourist friendly stereotypical items. Dumplings out of a takeout container, slice of pizza, mini cannoli. I think the actually value of the food itself was about $12 per person. On an otherwise amazing weekend in New York, this was the dark spot. Colossal waste of time, waste of money, very disappointing.

2022-05-26Nate was a great tour guide. Im still thinking about the gang history - especially in Chinatown. Nate is also very knowledgeable about other NYC factoids beyond ghosts and gangsters, which was definitely a bonus. Keep up the good work. I highly recommend this tour.
