The food and atmosphere here were excellent. Cute decorations and a super neat shop with grocery store items, but homemade and even better tasting. The only reason I would deduct a star would be because they brought out half of our food and then it was about 10 minutes until they brought out the other half, and they were giving other customers food in the meantime. It wasnt even too busy which is why the wait was a little surprise. Either way, everything else was excellent, the food tasted great, and they had great things to purchase.
Amazing! This was our first time here and we randomly picked it off of Google to try for breakfast. The coffee was excellent. Breakfast was delicious! We got the breakfast burrito and sausage gravy and biscuits. We shipped a bit at the attached market. Would absolutely recommend coming here.
Great Place for Breakfast or Lunch.. Some of the BEST Soups I have ever had. Spring Vegetable Chowder and Zucchini Chowder were Fantastic. Outstanding Paninis.. Try The Turkey Pesto Panini you will not be disappointed, By Far My Favorite. If you have a sweet tooth homemade donuts, homemade pastries, homemade Amish Fry Cakes..
Great fresh made to order food, great homemade soups. And great shopping.all in all a great way to spend an relaxing morning. Lots to look at and enjoy. The home made baked goods are excellent, even take home and bake options to those busy nights. It is a must see spot.
This was our 2nd time because its a 2 hr drive but it was fabulous. The store was wxpanded and improved since last visit. My friend has a favorite store similar to Oak Hill but after today we found prices better at Oak Hill and the Cafe food and beverages WONDERFUL. Only problem, today service was a little slow but worth the wait for the salted caramel iced latte!
We have eaten here for a few years now and I have always gotten the potato and bacon chowder, along with a sandwich. This time, however, it was the consistency of potato soup, not chowder! I was very disappointed, and I will be hesitant to order it in the future! I hope this was just a 1 time issue, not a change in your preparation.
The food was great. The service was great. The atmosphere was great. The property was clean and well maintained. My son, who is very particular about going out for breakfast and despises shopping, said he could have stayed there all day and thought his breakfast was wonderful (even though it wasn’t pancakes). He’s also willing to drive 2.5 hours from home just to go there...that says everything!
My family LOVES Oak Hill and the cafe. The coffee is delicious, the food is great, the ambience tranquil, and the staff polite and personable. The Cafe is developing more gluten-free bakery items, and has a vegan wrap as well, for those that have special diets. I love that I can do my shopping while Im waiting, the kids can play on the playground when we are done, and my Dad can opt for chicken bbq on Saturdays during the summer if he wishes. Great place! Highly recommended.
Very cute cafe. Im a lover of the primitive setting and all things coffee. Great service and very friendly staff. I believe I had the Seneca Sunrise (Not sure if that was the correct name) and a Pumpkin Spice Latte for breakfast. Very delectable :) Coffee was great too!
The food here is amazing! So fresh and unbelievably inexpensive. Its worth the trip to the country to get a sandwich (Skipper and chicken pesto Panini are my favorites), homemade soup, fry pies (tiny pie folded in half like a calzone and frosted - peach - yum!), Whoopie pies, breads, etc. The bulk foods store attached is a must visit also. Order lunch, shop for awesome deals, eat delicious food. Breakfast is fantastic also. Im not a coffee drinker, but my friends who are love it!
My husband and I visit the Penn Yan area a lot and are always looking for great local places to eat; Oak Leaf was perfect! Both of our sandwiches were huge and delicious and the frypies made a great dessert. Not to mention everything was cery reasonably priced. I’m sure we’ll be back!

2021-07-19I ordered the July Special, Peach Panini. It was super good!! I was a little skeptic at first, but thought I’d give it a try since it is very popular. Well for good reason! It’s also a very nice atmosphere here with friendly people. (Customers and staff)

2021-07-24Disappointed today, we absolutely love oak hill and they have the freshest food. Ate at their cafe today and served really low quality meat, the chicken was comparable to the inside of a chicken nugget, definitely not the oven roasted chicken that was advertised. The roast beef was shiny and looked fake. All of the baked goods are amazing, very conflicted about the sandwiches today. Will not order the paninis again.

2022-06-23We love it here! Delicious coffee at great prices with lots of milk options! They have a great breakfast/lunch menu. Additionally, the store attached has some AMAZING local and organic grocery items as well as some cool artisanal pieces.

2021-09-11I was surprised, I expected the usual country store fare, farmer style. When I walked in, it reminded me of a high end sandwich shop like one would find in a college town, a bit disappointing. They proved me wrong, wonderfully made, competitive pricing to other Mennonite/country stores, and they delivered the goods (chips that is). Dont judge a book by its cover, they sure do an excellent job, and my pepper jack panini was fabulous. Worth the hour drive to get here!

2022-05-07Best breakfast in the area! I had the Seneca Sunrise breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. My wife had the breakfast panini. Coffee is top notch. Staff is always friendly and informative. I highly recommend this cafe!

2021-03-31Maybe one of my favourite spots to eat in the Finger Lakes area. If I could I would fly up every morning( home is Austin) to grab a freshly made Seneca Sunrise Sandwich. It was pure perfection between two perfectly toasted slices of bread. And while it might seem like an odd combo to some it paired perfectly with a side of the mac salad! The people working here were so lovely and helpful. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

2021-12-31Placed a drink order today. Usually the service is excellent but the after I ordered, the girls working did not make the drinks. They were chatting and doing all other things except making the drinks. Literally waited over 10 minutes. Not sure the circumstances, but it is not normal.

2021-09-25Excellent baked goods! Their fry pies are absolutely amazing, but go quick most of the time so get there early! They have canning products when others are out. Their meets and cheeses are delicious and they have all kinds of spices and mixes for many different things. Not to mention the bulk candy! The Cafe has some awesome things to offer too. Check them out!
