Fantastic customer service. I love the atmosphere, great attention to the customers. The bartender mike is fantastic.Trivia night was a lot of fun and we may be back every week for a date night. We may not have won but it was fun. Just make sure your phone is charged for the 71 questions you need to answer.Just had the jerk chicken quesidilla best ever. Meaty with just the right amount of spice. The Buffalo chicken egg rolls werent bad either but nothing beats that jerk chicken!!!
We were hesitant to go in because of some of the previous reviews. So glad that we took a chance.Joey was our waiter and he was amazing. Very personable and knowledgeable of the menu items and draft beers. The service was excellent and believe it or not the food was better. I had the Fig get it burger and waffle fries...to die for. There were four of us and no one was disappointed. We will definitely be going back!!!
This place is just what Oakdale needs, and then some. The food is undeniably good - classic bar food with fresh twists and some unique choices. However - unlike many places that try hard with fancy ingredients, the execution is 110% there. There’s a lot of effort put in to the food, as well as the finishing touches that make all the difference, and you can tell once you take a bite. The sweet chili wings, pictured below, hit every flavor note.Beer selection is vast - go for Einstok if you like blue moon, and something for everyone — strong Belgians, hoppy IPAs, and all-American bud/Miller light if you really want it. Cocktail menu looks solid, but didn’t try one, house wines look well thought out.I’ll be back.
Went there with my husband and coworker last Wednesday for Horror Trivia night and we had a blast! Our server, Joe, was amazing. Attentive, friendly, and is very knowledgeable of the menu. He came by frequently to check in on us.Its my 3rd time there and each visit was just as amazing as the last. We ordered Dr Pepper wings, surf and turf burrito, brunch burger, and T-Bird. Their Misfit Red ale was amazing too. Definitely go during their events as well!
Pierogis were hard. I asked for the sauce on the side in case it wasn’t good. It wasn’t. We called there for them. Steak sandwiches- both- were bland. 1 was wrong. Sliders had pickles- made wrong. Sweet potato fries were soggy and tasted like freezer burn. We spent 160 and got a tasty pretzel. Chicken wing sauce was good. Bacon bits did not stay on wings. Chicken was rubbery. But the pretzel was pretty good. Did I mention that?
This was my first restaurant outing since the pandemic started. I was a bit nervous but the restaurant had all the necessary precautions set up. Although the inside was beautiful we opted for a table outside in front of the restaurant. The six of us, all family sat at one of the picnic tables with an umbrella. Just about every table ended up being filled. Service was wonderful and the food delicious. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal...we will be back. Thank you to the staff at Oakdale Brew House!!! The whole experience made me feel normal again.
My husband and I stopped in when first opened. Sat in back. One other family there. Put in order, waited and waited. Waitress went into kitchen 3 times to find out where our order was. Nice effort by waitress, but didnt offer us anything while waiting, or to even bring a manager over. Everyone else coming in after us received their food. Room was filled. After 45 minutes, we left. Passed the hostess on the way out and explained to her that we were never served. She was genuinely sorry, but never tried stopping us or tried getting the manager. If the place wasnt so nice inside, I wouldnt even have given it the one star. BIG FAILURE!
Ordered take out tonight and they totally got in wrong!! Simple order 2 Brewhouse burgers mine to be well done, no setup, no pickle, and waffle fries. My wifes burger was to be medium rare, with setup, pickle and regular fries. What did we get... my burger medium rare, pickle mixed in with my waffle fries. My wife was well done, no setup, no pickle and no back. Tried calling the phone number at the top of the receipt and phone rings, rings and rings. In these tough times businesses need to meet, and exceed expectations. They also charged 3.5% Tech fee??? what the hell is that? Not going back
Second time at the OBH, waited to review because the first few weeks are crazy for a new establishment. This place has an identity crisis. Its trying to be everything for everyone. It is insanely loud here, in the bar, in the restaurant, always loud. You have to yell across the table to hear your friends. There are zero sound absorbing materials in the space, has a very industrial feel, and looks cool, but as I said very loud. Beer selection is outstanding, definitely on the craft beer craze, but have the popular staples so you will certainly find a drink to satisfy you. The food was great, menu was limited (I was hoping for more dinner plates) seemed like more of a lunch spot according to the menu. It has a sophisticated atmosphere but the menu doesnt match. The service was average, and clumsy thru the meal. Entrees arrived while still working apps and the table was too small to accommodate. There was live music but it felt like dining in a concert hall. There are doors to separate the dining area from the bar, use em? I watched the place get built so my expectations might be too high, but in general they have good drinks, great food but in a noisy, atmosphere with bad service. Ill definitely stop in from time to time but wont be a go-to spot for meals.
Had to move tables because the one we got was wobbly. Nice inside decor, ok atmosphere. Has two rooms to eat in. Front room is not a nice in terms of tables, but is nicer overall. Service is relatively quick and respectful. Ok menu variety. From each category they have, only a few options appear. Overall alright experience, food tasted good and prices are not too high.
My dad suggested the Brewhouse because he saw it opened in the location of a dive bar he used to go to. I was really pleasantly surprised at the attentiveness of the entire staff to our wants and needs. From bartenders, to hostess, to waitress, and busboys, we never waited on anything or felt neglected. Came in on a Friday evening for some small plates and beers, and were beyond pleased with both. We live a couple of towns over and plan on returning for sure. The live music was a excellent plus for the night. The owner (I imagine) came over and checked in on our experience, which we couldn’t tell you enough how great it was. Some design ideas could really help this place out even further (email me haha) but really overall a great experience and will return.
Good evening yelpers, today we came across the Oakdale Brewhouse and boy were we lucky we did. What a beautiful gastropub. The room is decorated with wine barrel tables, stools, regular tables and a huge bar.We were greeted by Nicole or waitress. She was very pleasant and patient with us as we navigated the menu and beer selections. They have a very nice selection of craft beers and mixed drinks as well.Today, after a delivery of fresh made potatoes chips and onion dip, we started with the lobster mac n cheese which delicious. It came with spiral pasta and a nice taste of lobster claw meat. For lunch we ordered 2 burrata burgers and a brunch burger. The burrata burgers were delicious with a nice amount of burrata mashed onto the burger. My brunch burger, which I ordered by accident, was really delicious and a nice surprise. It came with delicious thick bacon, a fried egg...yum and a hash brown well stacked on this monster burger!!! All the burgers came with a choice of fries served in their own little fryer basket.... nice touch. The owner came up to us asking how everything was and for suggestions, which was nice.We head a great time, the food was amazing, the service perfect and the venue, awesome! Get in there soon!
As a pescatarian (vegetarian who eats fish), my choices for dinner were either a salad or a Margherita pizza. Before going, I checked the wines were served. Upon arriving, the decent wines were only available by the bottle. These wines are are not overly expensive, and available by the glass at most places. The restaurant was very loud, mostly because of the blasting music. I could not hear the people at the table I was with.Having been raised in Oakdale, it was very disappointing. I’ll continue to drive to Patchogue for a decent restaurant.
Tried this newish oakdale offering tonight. Had the caesar salad with added chicken which was dry. Had the chicken tacos which were above average and the dr pepper bbq wings which were dry and tasteless. The decor is new and well maintained and the staff seems attentive. Nice amount of televisions covering the gastropub.
Stopped in to order an appetizer & drinks, place order for dinners to go. Explained this to 2 hostesses at door. They said you can look at bar to find 2 places. The bar is right there at front, we can all see it looks packed. I took a quick glance standing one foot away from them and said it looks like no spots and cant you two see what I am seeing? No other option offered to us. We walked out...shame bc while there were only 2 of us to sit, we were ordering for family arriving at our home later - at least $150 in to go order aside from our tab while waiting. We are in Oakdale , drove to Sayville and found real customer service elsewhere. Gave one star in order to post these comments.

2022-04-07The food and atmosphere was amazing. Our waitress did the best she could, the place was packed and she seemed to be the only server. She got a very generous tip for hustling, respect to her. House margaritas are on point and tasty. I didnt realize it was trivia night, we stayed a bit longer to guess the questions. I highly recommend Oakdale Brewhouse. You wont be disappointed with the house burger and sweet potato fries!

2021-08-02To be honest, I never even heard of this place until my neighbor mentioned it to me. Well, I have to say that Im so happy that they did. On our first visit we had the pleasure of having Franchesca as our waitress. She was one of the best waitresses weve had anywhere so that was a great start. Next, the drinks... the beer selection is fantastic and every single glass that we have had has been Ice cold, exactly as you would expect. For appetizers we had the giant pretzel and the bourbon bacon wings. The pretzel was great especially with the accompanying dipping sauces and the wings were just hands down great. For dinner my wife had the fig burger and I had the brunch burger. Both were cooked exactly as ordered and the taste was just fantastic. We didnt have dessert because we were just way to full from all the delicious food. We went from never hearing of this place to making it a weekly visit and a go to with friends. Needless to say, we 100% recommend going here!

2021-09-23The food was excellent. They are short staffed like everyone else but our waitress Arianna was fantastic. She had probably 10 tables but never waited for anything. Cool neighborhood place.

2022-03-18I’ve been here multiple times in the last few months with friends and family, and it never disappoints. No matter what we order, it’s hands down amazing. Kudos to the chef. Best restaurant in Oakdale. It’s a hidden gem. Place is huge with a really good vibe. I love that on Fridays and Saturdays they have live music. It’s definitely one of my go to places. If you are debating on going here, please do.Enjoy!

2022-04-05Ate there with a party of 6 including 2 picky kids on a busy Friday evening. Service was a little slow at the beginning but they quickly made up for it. The Fig & Prosciutto flatbread app was one of the best things Ive eaten in a long time. We all shared that and the Bavarian pretzel, which was also great. A few of us got burgers & sandwiches and my wife and one son split the pulled pork nachos, which were just fantastic. Prices were a little on the high side but so is every place else these days. Will definitely be going back

2022-03-01I stumbled on this place without intention of coming for lunch. The menu has great options for food, both of the burgers we got were excellent. The beer menu was not as good, with only one being notable. This was compounded by the fact so many other options were generic and available anywhere else. Top this all together with a surprisingly large price tag, I dont know that Id make a habit of coming back. $17 for a burger and $8 for a beer before the credit card surcharge, tax, and tip is more than most places.

2022-04-0304/02/2022. 6:15 reservation. Party of 4 Seated immediately. Waitress very knowledgeable and super friendly. Nachos appetizer very generous portion. More than enough if your ordering more food. We also had tge Buffalo chicken egg roll. Very good. Not overly spicy. Our party ordered blacked fish tacos and Cajun shrimp penne. We all enjoyed them very much. Generous portion. Drinks were very good as well. Nice selection of beers and ciders. Will definitely return.

2019-09-11The food here is great. Its very different than your usual cusine and if youre a picky eater, it will take you a minute to figure out what you want to eat. The ambiance was great and relaxed chilled out theme. While eating dinner, they brought out bingo cards and winners get free gift cards to the establishment. The restaurant was clean and nicely put together. The staff was very pleasant and great at conversating with the guests. The overall experience was great.
