We had a great experience working with Tom and he worked to redesign a full top floor renovation, including new bathrooms, new master and upstairs laundry. This involved structural work also and a raised ceiling in one room. We had a lot of fun designing as well and choosing everything to fit the bathrooms out. Tom was very respectful of our home and young family and we would absolutely work with Tom again!

As a professional contractor I have worked with Tom O’Brien for over 35 years. In a word, he is top class. He understands what the clients want and is able to work with the trades so the jobs run smoothly. He is not afraid to get into the trenches when a problem does arrive to find a good solution. Many other architects that I have worked with only dictate their ideas and have little practical field experience . I highly recommend Tom O’Brien for your next residential project.

Tom’s work is unparalleled. He was able to visualize and create an open concept for our 25 year old home by simply reconfiguring our stairs. He also helped us screen potential remodelers and stayed involved with the project from beginning to end. Tom is also masterful in keeping all parties on the same page and mediating issues that arise. This skill made our 8 month remodel far less stressful than it otherwise would have been. It is for all of these reasons and more that I highly recommend Tom’s architectural services.

Tom has done work with me for years, with a smaller budget then I would have liked he helped my wife and I create a phasing plan for our forever house. Do not use this guy. I dont know if he is affiliated with the crook architect by the same name in Centerport NY. But, he had be pay upfront and didnt finish anything. He draws by hand and no building department will approve that.
