I really have only amazing things to say about them and recommend them all the time! Because the whole team helped my little Yumi after pinching a nerve! She’s back to her happy little self. An amazing and caring team! Not to mention the building itself is very clean and welcoming.Highly recommend this Veterinarian!!
I could not be any happier with Oceanside Animal Clinic. Their doctors and staff are incredible. Went over the issues we were having, talked about treatment options and he answered every question I had! Such an amazing experience I had with them. I would come again with my pet.
0/10 would not recommend , they are very money hungry. I came in with a puppy who was overly hyper because of puppy energy they told me they would like to do blood work to see if anything is wrong with her, not only that she had an ear infection and they wanted to do an x ray on her ears. That was not needed , they just want money do not go they will recommend stuff your dog or cat doesn’t even need
My first experience was fine, when my animals were brought there for vaccination. However, yesterday I brought one of them to get checked out as there was an issue that animal seem to suffer from for couple of days and my usual vet has canceled the appointment a week before. At this clinic, they asked to do x-rays and tried to charge for x-rays, anesthetic and overnight stay with total being $650 without overnight stay. (I compared with another clinic right after and anesthetic is not required, you can restrain animal without it and for it not to cause pain) I have asked to possibly work something out as I am on a limited budget. Or at least cut out items from the list. Again, I compared it with another vet who told me certain things could have been avoided. This clinics staff refused and on top of it they upset me and my animal great deal. Then they would not bring my animal out. I was about to call the police to be able to retrieve my animal. These people are in the business of caring for animals and they have shown zero of that. I saw them attempt to do the same to another animals owner. I did my best to negotiate with them, to be polite and courteous and was not treated in the same courteous and polite manner. If I could give zero stars or even minus 4 stars I would. Avoid them.Edit/add: my animal did not need an x-ray or any other treatments from them, just needed a nail trim that was causing the issue.Response to the owners: you literally made me so afraid for my animal that I never forgot that.
Very good Veterenial ! Excellent staff, always helpful and nice! I am very happy with service and large selection of medications. This place is as professional as a pet clinic can be they took a better care of my pug Marquisa then any other vet a had this is my four pug since 1986. And I been going to Oceanside Animal Clinic since love this place and the doctor is pet specialist.
I don’t understand how this place got so little stars. I went in with my boy Cacique to do an ear cropping surgery to fix the mess some vets did in another country. I had gotten questioned over at another vet (the one in Little Neck.) First of all it was none of their business why I wanted to do it, this is standard for the breed especially if its a Livestock Guardian breed and I’m moving soon to predator country and their most vulnerable spot is their ears and to avoid having that surgery down the road we went for it. Mind you they have 5 stars and I had dealt with a vet that was giving me attitude? No thanks.I decided to give Oceanside Animal Clinic a chance, and they did not disappoint! These people were outstanding! Vet and assistants and everyone were very nice and professional. And they understood the breed of my dog very well. Didn’t question it because if that. We didn’t have to go a second time to schedule the surgery because they did it same day and accommodated me because I lived far. There had been a day I was going to be late and was able to reschedule the same day to have his stitches removed. The procedure was what someone else would consider pricey but I expected it to be since for one he was not a puppy so at the same time it was reasonable. And they did such an amazing job with making them the same length. I am very happy with his ears and with his healing too. Here’s a before and after. (Second pic I caught him mid-sleep, he’s a happy pupper and in no pain whatsoever.)
The staff and vets at Oceanside have provided me with nothing but positive things to say. As soon as I came in, I was greeted by the sweet receptionists and waited my turn. The wait time is just about what is expected, 15-30 minutes. The office is busy and attentive to emergencies, walk-ins so I understand why there may be a bit of wait but thats why its called the waiting room! My cat who is 17 years old was seen by the vet fairly quickly. As a pet owner to an older cat, I was nervous but the vet and his staff were so reassuring and gentle. The techs were incredibly attentive to everything I brought up and it showed that they cared about my cat as much as I did. The doctor himself was fabulous. He paid keen attention to detail and although my cat was fussy and grumpy, he managed to get his blood and urine in no time. Once my cats results came in, the doctor thoroughly explained everything to me. Ive read reviews about prices but having gone to different clinics, Oceanside prices have been cheaper than what Ive paid in the past. Highly recommend this clinic to everyone! Keep this in mind: Since the pandemic, more pets have been adopted and vet clinics have been jam packed. Be kind and patient with your veterinarian staff and understand that they care about your pets as much as you do.
Our first visit to this clinic left me completely astounded. After seeing how much knowledge and care the doctors here put out for my dog, I knew this will forever be our doctors. First off, the clinic is SUPER clean and beautiful..The staff is great and the doctors of course amazing. From basic wellness exams to an emergency visit my dog left healthy and we were happy. I know that he will always be in great hands here.
Never go to this place! The attitude of the owner is just not respectful and absolutely not professional! I brought cats just to do a vaccines, the doctor came after 2 hours waiting in the lobby full of people. My cats are old and I was worried if it’s ok to do both vaccines in same time (because cats need two vaccines for international flight). The doctor said - let’s see and left to prepare the vaccines. She back with only rabies vaccine and while I took the cat out of the bag I asked again if we have to do two different vaccines in same time or in different days, the doctor said that she doesn’t know the answer and we can only find out if it’s fine for them after we do vaccines…so I said - how? Two see if the die from it or not?. She said- well, it can happen even from a one vaccine. I was very surprised that this is all that doctor could say and she even didn’t see my cats, did not touch them, didn’t check anything. I said her that, that she didn’t even check anything and just saying it’s up to me if I want to do one vaccine or both….she said that now she is uncomfortable to work with us and left the room and didn’t explain anything . After waiting for about 15min nobody came to the room, so I came out to ask the nurse if there anything else can do vaccines or what is going on. There was 3 nurses who just got so nervous, walked back and forth talking with the doctor who was hiding in her room and then a guy told me that our appointment just canceled and we won’t get any service in this place and have to leave! And this is after waiting 2 hours in a lobby and 30 min in a room. Of course I was so confused, it’s was difficult to bring two cats and wait that long specially while Covid. So I just asked if any other doctor can do us a vaccines and they said - no, We will call the police if you not leave. I said- sure :) When police came they recommended us where to tell about this situation, so it’s nice I got important information.Just unprofessional people working there. Who was fine to leave animals in danger, didn’t want to check them just because the doctor didn’t like the way I asked her questions ….just unbelievable! Terrible!
I was pretty skeptical about this place at first but after the great interaction with the staff and doctor I must say they are all respectful and very helpful. My cat Mr. Bane was suffering from severe allergies and they did everything in their power to make sure his allergies issues were resolved. I definitely recommend going here , thought the wait times may be long due to high capacity of clients because a lot of people come here for the great service I must say its so worth it
My mistake I disregarded the comments below ! Horrible doctor and his personal attitude ! He basically sees things through dollar bill not as it is in nature. Because I told him no for treatment that was harmful for my puppy he refused to see my dog for the vaccination next time. He just wants things his way, I am not sure how he was granted the license then. Totally unprofessional and goes by money only, personal attitude is his first care!!!!!!!Dear Oceanside Animal Clinic, thank you for your prompt response but canceling my appointment based on doctor prejudices is illegal. You just rejected me to come for test and vaccination , about what professional qualities you are talking then ?When I came first I clearly explain that before necessary vaccination I must do deworming as my dog a special breed so I need to follow the breeder instructions too. I didn’t refuse to do vaccination in 10 days after deworming and confined that dog would stay in house to avoid any possible contacts with other animals. There was no urgent and must do requirement to vaccinate my dog on a spot and when Doctor wanted. Based on most reviews doctor has a high tendency to cancel patients who decline spendings and his unnecessary treatments. He might have been paying a high mortgage for his house or a car so he desperately needed money. His attitude doesn’t seem to be professional and he didn’t show any experiences vet qualities as disregarded the breed requirement. My dog is not just puppy from the local zoo shop, I bought it from experienced breeders to train as hunting dog. I would highly recommend to Doctor reconsider his work place and his personal negligence to patient needs. If he took that field for money making, he was a bit wrong. This case needs to be seen by authorities to review doctor’s practice and interaction with owners of pets.
They saved my dogs life! It was an emergency situation and I didn’t know what to do. So I came to the clinic. Stuff and doctors are professionals. They immediately took the dog to find out what happened to her. Since my pit bull is a 6 month puppy I was worried about her a lot. But next day they called me to pick her up. She was healthy and happy girl. Thank you so much for everything you did to help her!! Recommend this place!
I had my first appointment here today and I was so impressed. Beautiful, spacious and clean facility. The waiting room is large. The whole staff is very friendly. The reception area has wonderful people to greet you, the vet techs are so friendly and great with dogs, and I met with Dr. Anurov and I adore him already. So knowledgeable, accessible and a great sense of humor. He gave me such great advice. I am so glad I came here and this is definitely my vet moving forward.
Money hungry Vets! Brought my 17-year-old cat in for a haircut and the vet refused to let her get groomed without bloodwork and X-ray. He said its for her health that should have been started at 10. Today she is 7 years older and absolutely no way that she will get a cut until I agree to pay for the unnecessary procedure. He didn’t even offer to say, this is the last time we can groom her without all the tests. I have a very healthy cat that gets shots and check up on regular basis. How is it that out of nowhere she cant get groomed without X-rays and bloodwork? I know! The vets need to rip people off for anything and everything, not because they actually care about my cat, but because they need money.
My sister and I started bringing Luna here since she was a puppy and although not all of our experiences with some of the vets and staff here have been positive, most of them were.Dr. Anurov is an exceptional veterinarian with an amazing team. I believe they care about your pets and will try to find the best treatment plan for them. Unfortunately, sometimes the best treatment plans are also the most expensive. Keep in mind that youre never forced to stick with one plan. If it doesnt work for you financially or if you decide that you want to opt out of certain procedures and/or medication, you can always talk to them about it.The clinic has their own pharmacy and youre able to get your prescriptions right after the appointment. The prices are always going to be more expensive than what you can find online because youre paying for convenience, and lets face it, the staff here have to put food on their plates too. I would rather pay extra money to make sure my dog gets the necessary medication as soon as possible, rather than wait for someone to ship them to me via snail mail. The staff at the front desk are very nice and welcoming. They have always been very accommodating when it comes to scheduling appointments, and were able to squeeze me in last minute on multiple occasions. Theyre open on weekends and the hours are great for those that work.Weve been bringing Luna here for 4 years. Among many other things shes had X-rays, dental surgery, and a heaping number of treats. Shes happy and healthy and I think the results speak for itself.
Worst veterinary experience I’ve ever had.Waited 55 minutes to be seen.Never even met or spoke to the doctor. They didn’t answer my simple questions; didn’t even weigh my puppy.Awful experience; other individuals in the clinic where equally upset. I’ve never posted a review in my life but this felt worthwhile.0/5
My dog, there patient for at least past 10 years, died today. I’m heartbroken, and if you ever had a dog, you’d understand my grief. But not these people. I came over to tell them that she’s gone, and no one even asked why, and doctor didn’t come out to express condolences. It’s been said that you mostly remember things that are in the end. So I’ll never forget this coldness. And if I’ll ever get another dog, I’ll never trust him to these people.
Im so so grateful for this place. Brought my kitty in here, he wasnt eating not feeling well.I trust Dr. Anurov, he is extremely knowledgeable and honest. He took care of my cat with love and gentleness. I felt that I got a good amount of time with the dr not rushed like most places. He actually did a detailed check up and inspection of the cat.The front staff team was very nice. Im very happy with my experience today.
Simply put do NOT go here. They say they open at 930. Well the vet gets there at 11am. Actually arrived at 1130.I was first and between vet finally looking at my pet it was 1140. The receptionist shows up half later of me waiting in the room with the bill. Bills paid and then another 20 mins later they give eye drops.NOT ENOUGH STAFF.NOT ENOUGH MANAGEMENT SKILL.DO NOT GO. YOU WILL SPEND 5 HRS HERE.
Excellent service and quality care for a reasonable price. They saved my cat after he ate something that blocked his intestines and he was severely dehydrated and not eating. Ive come to them in many emergencies and they have always helped my cat and I in desperate situations. Even for an expensive dental cleaning for my cat they gave me a discount understanding my tough financial situation. Overall, a wonderful and caring staff. My cat is happy and in tip-top shape.
I came to Oceanside Animal Clinic when I noticed tapeworms near my cat’s butt. I’m from out of state and looked up the closest vet. I ended up bringing both of my cats in for the medication. Everyone I interacted with either in person or over the phone were exceptionally kind. They listened to my concerns, explained costs up front, and all around professional and friendly. It really eased my nerves since I wasn’t able to go to my normal vet back home in Michigan. Thank you to all the staff here!!! Y’all are great and keep it up :)
(1 out of 3) I have a small 13 lb dog. Unfortunately my dog digested alittle marijuana in the care of a dog sitter. My dog was rushed to this particular vet. They initially charged us $471.00– which includedMedical exam $50.00CBC/CHEM 17 (+lite) $178Urinalysis: $56.00XRAYS- 2views $ 180.00Understandable, it was a last minute emergency and we thought the dog was in danger. I sent the sitter the $$ & He paid it right away.A few minuets later the nurse “Gigi” disclosed that my dog had high toxicity levels due to the digestion of mrjna and it was mandatory for him to stay 24 hours at the clinic ..which totaled up to be an additional $1700 ( on top of the $500 charge ) finding all of this out while Being 2 hours away at work was nerve wrecking. Not only was I terrified my pet was in danger of losing his life but it was also a financial shock to me. We’re living during a global pandemic where every dollar is essential so thinking about dropping $2200 in the matter of seconds was traumatizing but .. I think that any natural pet lover and owner would do and pay anything possible to make sure that their loving animals are safe. So at this point I was urgently willing to pay immediately only because the nurse “ Gigi “ also told my dog sitter that no procedure will be done nor any following medication will be given until the new charge provided was paid in full. I wanted my pet to get treatment as soon as possible so I rushed out of work to urgently make the payment and discuss it later.
Thank You so much for all doctors and all staff who were so kind and patient and helped to ease all my concerns with regards to my fur baby, my cat Vasya! My cat got her teeth extraction there. I got all explanation what will be done to my cat before procedure. After I took my cat home, I got courtesy phone calls from clinic about my cat health. Very caring people who love what they do. I would recommend this place!
I recently had a terrible experience with this particular clinic. My dog hurt his paw while walking and started moaning hard and limping. I take him to this clinic, cause it was the closest one to my home. I asked them to check up the wound, I knew the wound was very deep cause my baby was literally crying... We were waiting for a doctor almost 30 minutes, the dog was getting worse.. I kindly requested to take us to doctor as soon as possible, but the staff answered to me very rudely, they said doctor is busy!! After all this waiting time we finally saw the doctor.. at the end of our visit he prescribed medicines for the infection and sent us home.. a day later the dog did not get better, it turned out the dog had a piece of glass in his wound!! They simply forgot to pull it out! They didn’t even notice it was in my dog’s paw! When I came back to them with this problem there was not a single apology from their side, but they also sent a second invoice for the services. I strongly do not recommend waisting time and nerves, keep your pets out of this clinic if you want them to be safe..
First time pet owner. This place is very clean, great smelling and the staff is extremely helpful. Alex worked very hard to help me get all needed documents to fly my puppy to Grenada, WI. She was able to get everything completed in 2 days. She is the best!! Thanks for everything. Papito had a blast!
Was coming to the male vet for years with my Yorkie. The staff is great and I was happy with the doctor, until one day I came for a scheduled appointment to do bloodwork for my dog, and the doctor refused to do bloodwork unless I agreed to do vaccinations for my dog. That is absolutely ridiculous that someone should be forced to do vaccinations if you’re coming in and paying for a specific service. Vaccination is required for grooming in NYC, but not mandatory for anything else. Very disappointed with this businessman. Not a real doctor.. do not recommend
Wonderful clinic, always very friendly staff. We travel from Staten Island, and we are very happy with every visit. always excellent service and fair price. our cat is like a child, and with a big wary attitude towards strangers, here she feels safe. you just need to see how they treat animals, with what caress, tenderness and love.
Absolutely Wonderful!! A very caring and compassionate staff. We were traveling and our elderly lab went into a fast decline. They quickly ran blood tests and reviewed his records from previous veterinarians. To confirm suspicions, they contacted a specialist via phone. They provided us with several options. We would not hesitate to recommend them. If you need a vet when in the area.... Oceanside Animal Clinic is the best choice !!
My cat Toby recently had all his teeth extracted here at Oceanside clinic. The entire staff did a very good job taking excellent care of him I love Toby very much and was worried about the procedure but I was assured by the doctor that this would be in his best interest for long term health. THANK YOU very much!! Special thanks to Camilla the overnight tech that stayed with Toby. I’ve been to several vets over the years and Oceanside is far superior. I will be bringing Toby here from now on. I highly recommend Oceanside for your pet’s needs and quality care.Thank you.
Clean and high quality service. Only thing they can improve on is being more friendly and understanding towards concerned pet owners. My cat had gained 9 pounds in a year and the veterinarians assistant was borderline raising her voice at me as I was asking her questions about food portioning. The veterinarian was professional but more disapproving than understanding, i.m.o. Ill be taking my cat to Linda Jacobson down the street to skip the attitude.
Horrible horrible horrible! They are not what I would call a vet they are just a business and only in it for the moneyThey make you do all these tests without explaining why and then charge insane pricesFor nothingThey told me one of my dogs had ear mites and I took him to another vet that same day and he didn’tThey also told me they were going to give my puppy a vaccine bec he was dehydrated and gave me a list of things over $400!!!!! To just blindly a free to pay for without explanation I left on the spot and took him to 2 other vets who said he was fineOne gave him some Pedialyte and enercal and he was good in an hourDon not use this vet they are the biggest scammers
Please stay away from this place. At first I missed my appointment thenre-schedule only to be disappointed.Unprofessional, way over-overpriced, they don’t help at all, they only want you to do all kinds of test and put injections that the pet most likely not even need it because they don’t explain you, they only come with a piece of paper with the price handwritten of course and expect you to pay for it and at the end they probably don’t even do anything to the pet.Take you beautiful pet somewhere else not here.
What more could I ask for? The doctors are very knowledgeable and are super friendly. The staff is really nice and helpful and they always go out of their way to help me even when I dont ask, and they have the cheapest prices anywhere (and lord knows Ive done my research.) My dog is two years old and when I come in for annuals its quick and painless. When I had to come in for an emergency I was hysterical and they immediately took care of my dog. When I had to do surgery for him I was really nervous and obviously I was looking everywhere for a cheaper price for it and couldnt find one. They really are reasonable and they have the lowest prices. The surgery was really successful and well done. My dog doesnt even have any scars, its amazing how careful and precise the work is. Im honestly your average joe so I dont exaggerate and I dont expect things that are unrealistic. I went through a lot to find a great place for my pooch hes practically my child and I want the absolute best for him. So glad I found this place I wouldnt go anywhere else.
I just posted a 1 star review because when I brought my dog for a limp they tried to charge me for a million different things that were completely unnecessary. When I went to a different veterinary practice they told me what was wrong in two minutes (without the x-rays, blood analysis, and complete screening that Oceanside said was required by law). Within 10 minutes I got a call from the office telling me that I am not welcome any more at this clinic, because I posted a bad review and they can transfer my file to another clinic. This is a very bad way to do business. After I got another opinion from 2 different hospitals I know for sure they requested a lot of expensive unnecessary tests for my dog, customers beware and try to get another opinion before carrying out any procedures.
This vet is a 5 plus stars. All members of their staff truly care about the customers they serve, and the long range outcome of the future for our pets. There are no shortcuts or temporary fixes, they focus on the total outcome for your pets situation. Also, their office hours are great.
I booked a 11:30 am appointment and then sat there for more than an hour. Saw my dog at 1pm. People will walk in and be seen while you are still sitting waiting for your appointment. No one says anything to you while you sit and wait patiently. When you ask after sitting for an hour they act like you are bothering the reception desk. With the over crowding there is no social distancing as they over crowd the schedule. This causes all the appointments and walk-in’s to be in a small space.Be professional and do not overbook and then give attitude when I call you out.
I thought I wrote a review for Dr. Anurov and Oceanside Animal Clinic when I first brought my stray rescued kitten, Mr. Meow, in for a check up and vaccinations seven years ago. It appears that I had forgotten and that is a travesty which I hope I can make up with this review now.I have two cats that Ive taken to Dr. Anurov and they are strictly indoor cats. Because theyve been in good health over these years, Ive been fortunate that they havent had to make any trips beyond the basic vaccination and check ups and each time I leave Im content knowing that my fur kids have been taken care of well and the fee that Im charged is very reasonable.
This clinic is completely misleading with their shady tactics to get you in the door first before revealing their shady fees. They chain up several procedures together to make it impossible for you to get one thing done without the other and claim that, its mandatory by law. After my dogs examination I was told that a two view X-ray will cost $150. When calling to schedule the X-ray appointment I was met with several random fees all chained up to the total of $900!!!! These people only pretend to care about animals but only care about ripping every single customer off! Do your research before ever stepping foot into this office!
This is my first review I ever wrote but I had to make one. This place is the worst! Waiting 2 hours my first time there they misdiagnosed. Had to come back again waiting another 2 hours just to be told I would have to do blood work and some other tests for a crazy amount of money. I ask if they could start with one of the test that might tell us the answer so we would not have to go through all the test and pay all that money. They said they wouldn’t do any test unless I agree to all tests and blood work and the bill that came along with that. When I first got there a guy leaving with his dog told me this place is horrible and to leave, I should have listened.
What a disappointment. I will never bring my cat back to this location ever again. If I could give them no stars I would..more details to follow…. at this point Im so angry and upset I can’t even write about my experience with this place … there’s maybe 1 nice technician in an office full of inconsiderate A$$!?@… they should be ashamed. Never again ….
Rip off!!!!!! I purchased a shitzu from puppy paradise and Oceanside is the vet they use. I took my pup for 2 shots and to find out she had ear mites. Meds were free which was good, all together my visit was $60 not to bad concidering she had 2 vaccinations. They had me come back for a 3rd. When I returned my pup had a bit of a tummy ache the day before.. nothing serious.! She was playing as usual and pooping normal. I told this to the vet. Due to my pups throwing up before visit. She didnt want to give her the vaccine. I can understand. But she tried to get me for an X-ray and blood work the cost wouldve been $300 And had an attitude the visit. I walked out of there having nothing done.. this vet will do anything for money. I took my pup to another vet to find out she gained 2 pounds from her last visit, and her upset stomach was due to her food.. we changed food and shes so much better. And that visit only cost me $30 and I got her vaccinated. Stay away from that place unless you are looking to pay a fortune. And want to deal with a snobby vet.
I love this vet. My dog is a rescue who can be unsure about new places/people, but I never have to worry here. Everyone is so kind and accommodating. I also love that they have a big lobby , it takes away any stress of being shoulder to shoulder with dogs you dont know.
My cat was sneezing so I figured, Why not take her to the local vet?Terrible mistake. They charge you through the nose and take advantage of first-time pet owners. ONE X-ray costs $150, and they insisted on doing TWO - all to determine that she has asthma. And they applied flea treatment even though she didnt actually have fleas. They claimed she had dead flea residue or something like that - but they charged me for that without asking me. They charged me $10 for clipping her nails (something I couldve done on me own) - also without asking me. And the vet failed to inform me that the medication she was prescribing required weaning off. All she said was After 15 days, the asthma will clear up. I emailed them asking after I had done research on prednisolone and havent heard back. Now my cat is sick and I have to go out-of-state to find a vet with reasonable prices. Youd think since theyre in Brooklyn, it would be cheaper than going to Manhattan, but nope. Now my cat is sick from the prednisolone. I dont even want to bother contacting them again because theyll just ask me to bring her back in and charge me another $500. Screw them.
These people are all amazing. Theyre currently caring for my sick cat. Everyone, from the front desk to the doc and everyone in between, has been so helpful. I spent a bit of time on the phone with one of their receptionists (Oxana?) the other day and she answered every question and never rushed me. Also, prices are quite reasonable. So happy I live nearby and that I found them!
Truly the worst clinic ever. My dog had gotten ear mites in which they charged me for deep cleaning but when i had arrived home i saw no difference. The doctor did not fully check him in which i went for a full check up. They wanted me to pay more and do more exams for a very high cost. The doctor would not explain fully to me what was going on. I went in a second time and was told i should repurchase the medicines in which i already had. I stated that i still had some and the woman at the reception claimed that i was not using it correctly and I should buy more. This place will rip you off for your money DO NOT COME TO THIS CLINIC
I have a 2 year old yorkie who is the love of my life and his well being is the most important thing to me.I was recommending to this clinic by a friend, and ever since my first visit I have been referring all my pet-owner friends to these two amazing doctors. The staff is so well organized and polite. The doctors are very informative and break down everything step by step. The prices are reasonable, everything is very sterile, overall its a great place.I wouldnt trust just anybody with my babies health but with Dr. Anurov, I am assured that he is in good hands.
There’s really no point in making an appointment for your pet because you’ll be waiting an hour and a half for your pet to actually be seen. There prices are beyond ridiculous. They will do anything to get their money. Never again will I come to this place. Do your pet or pets a favor and go somewhere else.
I have been coming to this vet for 2 years now, they take great care of my dog! (whos also the love of my life). She has been spayed, vaccinated yearly, treated for minor problems here all in the past 2 years - all with great outcomes! I am very pleased with the service, the prices and cleanliness of the clinic as well. Theyre also open late and work on saturdays which is always a plus if youre working all the time.I would def recommend oceanside animal clinic to any one who loves their cat or dog for the best care!
I brought my 17 year old cat in who I thought had a cold but actually had cancer of the mouth. There was a hole that I did not notice and loose teeth. I am not sure why an educated guess wasnt enough but an abdominal X-ray and blood work was needed to confirm this. The hard part was the false hope given to my son. This was his first pet and I had to be the one to tell him there was no hope. To suggest a biopsy and oncologist referral was absurd and I had to explain this to my son.Anyway the whole ordeal costed $800 (including cremation). I know that if my old vet was still practising he would have been up front with us.
One of the best animal hospitals I have visited. I was greeted by a very polite and helpful boy at the frontdesk which was unexpected for me because Im used to dealing with rude staff. My doctor also seemed to be very passionate and caring about my dog. Overall, I had an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend it to my friends.
They saved 3 lives at 8am on a Saturday! I called the emergency cell phone and Dr Valentina answered and rushed to the office to save my dog and deliver her puppies. It is unbelievable how much they care about your pet. I will never see another vet! All the staff is caring and doctors are there for you in case of any emergency. I can’t thank them enough!
I would like to leave a note here about how wonderful this vet is. Ive taken my dogs here for years, but recently had to put one to sleep. The vet (Dr. Anurova) could not have been nicer and more compassionate and really comforted us during a terrible situation. A week after our visit, we received a hand-written note from Dr. Anurova and her staff to express their sympathy for our loss. This is truly above and beyond. You couldnt find a better group to help with your veterinary needs.
I found a sick kitten on the street. Rescue that was sharing space with the clinic, suggested that I bring him in there for treatment with discount. I did exactly that. Unfortunately they were unable to diagnose and treat accordingly the poor thing. Kitten did not survive. I usually take my own pets to another clinic. And dreaming a comparison, they could’ve done more. Also they are unable to schedule and keep appointment times, very unpleasant.
Love this clinic, out of all of the vets in Brooklyn this place is by far the best. It’s the cleanest clinic you’ll see. The staff is extremely professional and organized. Prices are better than any clinic too. Thanks for being there for my pup at all times Ocean Side love you guys!
Me and my dog use to visit this Doctor since she was 2 month old, shes 8.5 years old now.. Im visiting doctor not only for vaccination. The Dr Valentina Anurova diagnosed very serious problem with my Shih Tsus health. Alma has thyroid problem, heart murmur, all diagnoses were proved by specialist. Recently we visited doctors office with eyes. Doctor pays attention and she found which hospital has ophthalmology, send us in emergency room even it was evening time. The ophthalmologist due to emergency (trauma) did a surgery after her regular working hours. Im so glad that Dr. Anurova recognized the serious condition of my dog and I save the vision on her left eye. I have a happy doggy now. The only one visit is not enough to make decision. I recommend this team for my friends.
I am not the one who gives out a bad reviews ,but this Oceanside Animal Clinic deserves a 0 star . They gave us a terrible service, not knowledgable at all regarding our pet.Would never recommend this business to anyone who loves their pets. All they are interested is money. Beside everything stuff of this clinic are extremely rude to their customers which is unacceptable way to run the business .
I took my cats here for the first time a couple of years ago. Friendly staff and friendly doctors! Dr. Anurov and Dr. Anurova took they time to explain things to me and your pet is really taken good care of. I was very happy that I came in here. I am completely satisfied with their service and from now on will only brings my cats here (even that it is quite a ride for me). Yesterday, they even called me to know how my cats were doing! I havent seen that happen anywhere. They are great!
I moved to Staten Island and still come to this vet! dr. vlad is very honest with his treatment plans which is something that a lot of other places lack. Ive tried to find a decent vet thats closer, but this doctor is worth the trip! Reasonable prices, but more importantly, they really care about my dog. ten out of ten!
I just took my 150 lb South African boerboel, Amina, back to Oceanside Animal Clinic for a check up and a teeth cleaning. Shes an extreme alpha female and can get a little aggressive when placed in uncomfortable situations but she loves her friends at Oceanside!. Ive tried taking her to other dental places but they refuse to service her because shes very intimidating. So I continue bringing my girl to this clinic because they truly are a sensational business and I feel (and Amina feels) so comfortable with them. Thank you Dr. Anurov for allowing me to have a spot where I can confidently bring my intimidating dog and feel 100% comfortable knowing shes comfortable.
I was looking for a vet for my puppy. A friend of mine suggested that I go to Oceanside Clinic. I called them to bring stool sample for analysis. The girl told me to come at 9:30. When I came to the clinic at the scheduled time, there was no-one there except the janitor. A couple of minutes later the receptionist came in. She walked by me without greeting me and ignoring me completely. She sat down at her desk acting as if I wasnt even there. I had to come up to the desk to remind her about myself. It was very difficult to get any information from her, and she answered all my questions in such a way as if she was doing me a favour. She coldly asked me why I came if the doctors were not there yet. I told her that I had scheduled the appointment at that time. She was very rude and unfriendly. I left the stool sample, but I will never go back to the clinic again. I will never allow a vet who hires such rude and unprofessional staff to treat my dog. I could have been a new client for the clinic, but the way I was treated by the receptionist discouraged me completely from going back to that clinic.
On Friday night at 6pm my dog ripped off a good size amount of hide off her leg accidentally going thru a gate while running for a ball. I called an Sheepshead Bay Veterinary Group and they said it would be a 45 minute wait. No problem it takes 30 minutes to get there. When I got to the clinic it took another 45 minutes waiting time and after the doctor saw me he told me I would have to wait another two hours while my dog was bleeding. This clinic was all about the money and wanted to charge me a consult fee for stating she needed to be put back together which was quite obvious with the back leg muscle exposed and the big flap of skin hanging off. I didnt want to wait so I called Oceanside Animal Clinic, who stated they could takes us right in since my dog was super stressed, bleeding and breathing fast. When I got to Oceanside they took me in right away. Dr. Anurov took my dog to the treatment area and stitched her up and she was good as new. No waiting time and the price was lower than the Sheepshead Bay Veterinary Group. We were finished by 10 pm (they close at 8 but they stayed late just for us). It was a long night. Thank goodness there are compassionate and capable vets out there like Dr. Anurov who will come in from their home to take an emergency call when the other clinics are too busy or just looking to make money off the most patients they can get that walk through the door on a given night. Dr. Anurov is not all about the money but more about the patient. Thank you Dr Anurov and the entire Oceanside Animal Clinic staff! We appreciate all your kindness and expertise.
Oceanside animal clinic where do I start... first of all the staff are very friendly except that kid in the front desk Serge he is to fake tries very hard to be nice and he’s really not, the only honest person, sincere and caring there I must say is the manager Alex she was very sincere and great with customer service and treated people and pets with respect. I’ve been going to To this office since 1st day I got my puppy. As far as Dr. Valentina Anurova saw me on Saturday 2/24/18 while I was waiting to get info about my puppy Prince she completely walked in the office pretended she never saw me walked straight in and didn’t have the ovaries to tell me or even speak to me to tell me my puppy had past away it was such an awful experience ITS A SCAM WITH PUPPY PARADISE!!! more like a horrible chain, apparently I found out my puppy had a enlarged heart and since Sunday 2/18/18 Prince started collapsing on me the puppy store and this animal clinic should of known because they see all the puppies and supposubly exams them all at the puppy store??? the only reason I found out was because I took him to One Love Animal Hospital In Bayridge which did all the proper testing. I was very hurt and long story short this was an awful experience for my children and myself it affected us emotionally we loved our Prince since we got him day 1 may he RIP 7/24/17- 2/23/18 feeling destroyed by these people you bring your animals to who you go to when there sick for advice medications etc...this place is a LIEawful place never again!!!
Thanks to these doctors my dog is here with us today. I went to two other vets in brooklyn who told me there is no treatment for my dog, he will live maximum 6-12 more months. Dr. Anurova gave Lucky the treatment he deserved and two years later, my fighter is STILL cancer free! professional, clean, and great office. Go see Dr. Anurova!!!!
Horrible clinic, abusive to my dog and gives unnecessary tests for money. Last place in the world one should go for a vet or anything pet related. The staff consistently lied to me and the doctors were like I said, abusive and extremely unsympathetic. To make matters worse , when I asked for my dogs charts and historyto show to a new vet, they wouldnt give them to me. Just very horrible people who dont care for animals, just money!!!
After doing some research on my senior cats condition, I decided to go to this vet for the first time since they are in my neighborhood. I called ahead to get a price for blood work, followed up with my previous vet to get her records and x-rays sent over, and printed a voucher for the exam. I was ready and prepared to take my sick cat to this vet. Upon arriving for my appointment, I filled out registration forms and they told my to walk into an exam room. A young girl comes in and looks at my cat for a minute and leaves to get the doctor. Moments later, Dr, Anurova looks at my cat and thinks she has a tumor in her belly. He leaves the exam room and the young girl comes back 20 min later to tell my she needs 2 x-rays, a urinalysis, CBC, blood work, etc. which comes to a over $500. I tell her that she had x-rays done a few months ago and she tells me they didnt get them. After saying I just want blood work done, she gives me a cold face. Pretty much after that, everyone who works there showed their true unwelcoming cold faces. A blonde short hair female vet and a veteran female receptionist tried their biggest sales pitch possible to make me pay for the tests. I said no, I only wanted to get her blood work done. After I told them I called ahead to get the price of blood work, they still tried to convince me it costed more than what I was told. So I decided to leave with her records and they have the utter audacity to accuse me of animal cruelty because I refuse to pay for the tests. Another customer waiting beside me was supporting the fact that I had to get serious, loud, and call them completely unprofessional. I told them it was my right as a pet owner to request a copy of her records. Ready to leave, they took down their sales pitch and met the price of blood work that I called ahead for. When I asked them, why they changed the price, they told me to look it up on the internet. Wow.After her results came in, I went back to get her records and prescriptions. The same female receptionist was unwelcoming after I requested her blood results. She just says to me well he told you over the phone. I said I will wait to speak to Dr. Anurova. The same blonde female yells at me from the doorway to come speak to Dr. Anurova while barking at me from behind that time is money and the doctor is busy. After 10 min of getting her results speedily read to me and recommended starting treatment, I go to the front desk to get her written prescriptions. Again, the sales pitch rolls in and they try to convince me I cant buy one without the other after I corrected them that it was two prescriptions, not one. Again, I wanted to leave with the written prescriptions and they tried to pull the animal cruelty line again. About to leave, they finally give in, and give me the written prescriptions but not for her food. Well, I dont want to go back to this unwelcoming place. It was a nightmare and they dont take kindly to people who know their pet, research symptoms, call about prices, and know the pet laws.So sad how this vet business has become a shady car dealership with the serious cold faces as well. Just walk away.
There isnt a day that goes by that I dont think about my dearest Kuzya. I came to Oceanside Animal Clinic over 6 years ago to use as a general check up vet for my cats. I returned to them over the years because they have my cats record on file, close to home and their awesome staff.Kuzya was a problem child. He really used up all his 9 lives or possibly more, I lost count.. He always got hurt from playing outside or extremely sick. One of kuzyas first surgery was an anal sac abscess. I have no idea what that really is. I think he had a bad infection and his butt bursted inside, out. OUCH! I was a poor college student during that time, so I ended up opening one of my first credit cards (care credit) to pay for his medical bill. About a year later he had anal sac abscess again, but this time on the other side of his butt. Poor kitty. He had his wounds treated from either fighting or trying to jump through bushes. He was a wild child. Kuzya was also hospitalized with IV fluids from dehydration. To treat dehydration, they either inject a ball of water into the cats neck that will dissolve throughout his body. Another way is to shave his arm to stick a needle in and transfer IV fluids like a real human being. This requires overnight stay and is more costly. Kuzya was treated both ways.Sadly, Kuzya was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer and leukemia. The doctors caught it early. Dr Anurov sent to an oncologist but there treatments were 10k and i couldnt afford it. Unfortunately his health declined rapidly. All we could do was to give him blood transfusion and put him on medication to make him comfortable until end of care, kind of like hospice. Dr. Vladlen Anurov was really honest and straight forward with me and I really liked that. He told me to keep Kuzya on meds because he was still able to walk around and eat. But until he starts to look like hes miserable and cant walk anymore then thats when I should put him to sleep. Dr. Anurov is an excellent doctor as well. He is gentle with his words when he broke the bad news to me. He told me to be prepared that my cat can go at any time and educated me about kuzyas illness. What I like is that the doctors kept it real and didnt give me false hope. They didnt try to make me spend extra money to run more tests or continue with useless treatment. Ive probably spent over $5K on surgeries and treatments on my cat throughout his lifetime at Oceanside Animal Hospital. If I didnt trust their work or like the service I could have gone somewhere else, but they are really THE BEST! So take your dearest furry baby here if need to!I referred my best friend here because her boyfriend accidentally ran over their dog (thats another story..) but yes, she really like the staff and doctors here too.- Smart and nice doctors- Professional and friendly staff- They did everything from vaccines to bloodwork to ultrasound to blood transfusion and ever grooming and boarding. They are a full service hospital with board certified surgeons. Awwesome- Does cremation here- bring an e collar if you have it at home or borrow from a friend. Its about $15 here.- If your dog or cat passes away and you dont know what to do with him or her... Just wrap your pet in a blanket and come here. Theyll take care of you.- Hospital policy: dogs must be on a leash, and cats must be in a crate.- Open on late and on Saturday!- Best Animal Clinic Hospital in Brooklyn
Called them to see if I could speak with someone as a family member took their pet to them and seemed confused regarding the diagnosis of the pet. I was on hold for 15 minutes and could not wait more so I hung up and called back. The machine answered and said they were unable to take my call at that time. I called a third and final time and was placed on hold again for an additional 5 minutes. After someone picked up I was told to call back at a later time because they were “extremely busy.” The family member called from their phone and asked about bringing the pet in and was told “ we aren’t too busy we have appointments still available if you want to come in.” I had just been told they were too busy to speak to me and they didnt even know what I was calling for.
Evil people! I brought my dying cat there to be put down, and they insisted on doing a full examination on him, and charging us for it! He was being euthanized! Who cares what he weighs, or what his temperature is! They exploited our grief for profit, and I will NEVER forgive them for it!
Dont know how these Dr. Anurova and Dr. Anurov can be called doctors. Their attitude is something to be ashamed of for the owners. Liars and scammers! When got caught on lie becomes extremely rude. Charging thousands and not giving services! Absolutely lack of care! STAY AWAY FROM THIS EVIL and INCOMPETENT DOCTORS
They insist that the dog food they carried was the best after my dog was here for two days found the same food somewhere else and cheaper. I felt they took advantage because the dog was sick it was almost like peer pressure i didnt like that.if i say no the first time thats what i mean dont keep asking because it might not have been in my budget.
I came to this clinic in 2017, based on a recommendation of my friend, when Matildas vet was on the vacation. I have never gone back to my old vet, because Dr. Anurov was so professional, knowledgeable and supportive. Charlotte - my beautiful Maltese is a patient of Dr. Anurov presently. I am SO happy to have such a wonderful doctor for her and me!
HORRIBLE PLACE, UNRELIABLE,SKETCHY SERVICES,ALWAYS NEW PEOPLE WORKING THERE,MAKES YOU WONDER WHY SO MANY DIFFERENT NEW WORKERS.CANT EVEN KEEP RECORDS PROPERLY AS WELL. NOT GOOD WITH PETS. PLEASE DONT TAKE YOUR FURRY BABIES HERE.Some of the reviews here must be their families or paid good reviews
TERRIBLE PLACE !!!!! Doctor anurova refused to see the dog in emergency situation because of personal feelings . she CAN NOT BE A DOCTOR AT ALL!!!! Was ripped off previously.doctor was caught on LIE ! Service was not provided . Charging money and not giving services. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PEOPLE !
THEY ARE BACKSTABBERS AND TRAITORS!!!THEY ARE CROOKS AND THIEVES THAT IS ALSO WHAT MY FRIENDS TELLS ME ABOUT THEM!!!!EVERYTHING THAT THEY SAY IS A LIE!!THEY JUST LOOK HOW TO SCREW YOU OVER!!!THIS PLACE SHOULD BE IMMEDIATE SHUT DOWN!!!THEY ARE ONE BIG FRAUD!!!THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY THATS ALL THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PETS!!!WHEN THEY SAY THAT THEY ARE WORKING WITH A PAYMENT PLAN THEY LIE, THEY TOLD ME THAT THIS IS THEIR PRICE AND THEY WILL NOT NEGOTIATE WITH THE PRICE!! ANYBODY WHO GOES THERE DESERVES WHAT HE WILL BE GETTING FROM THEM!!!
I had several episodes with the doctors of this clinic. Every time the feeling is like being doused with slop. There are rude people at the front desk, doctors hide behind as assistants. They did put my first dog to sleep, the treatment aggravated the condition, I had no experience, trusting the professionals, I buried the dog. And with the cat, they also made me look like a rogue, ridiculing me that I asked why so many tests for $ 900 were made to a snotty cat, when I, not a doctor, saw that the cat had a cold.
People please do not go to this clinic, they only get money, it is very expensive, these people do not care about the lives of the animals, for them everything is to get studies and they probably do not even give them to them I was taking my puppy and they said that he did not have cancer, they will operate to remove a tumor that was just that but it happened that after two months my sick dog and that day was Sunday and they told me that there was no doctor I took him elsewhere and it turned out that if he had cancer I had to put my dog to sleep what happened that alone They took money from me, personal decision I will not return there
I do not know to whom and how, but I really liked the clinic and the doctor Valentina herself, I compare with the clinic to 11 Brighton !! very qualified and polite staff !! My puppy (Lola, French Bulldog, 7 months) was helped, and they called every day and asked about her state of health while they were being treated with medications !! FOR ATTENTION AND HELP! GOOD LUCK YOU IN BUSINESS!

2022-07-25Needed to make a emergency appointment and reception was incredibly helpful & kind. Inside is very clean and welcoming with treats available for all animals. My dog was seen immediately and care was quickly assessed by the doctor on duty. He was to the point and very helpful with my emergency situation. The timing of the procedure was quick and pricing was reasonable. Really great service I must admit.

2022-08-11You can tell that the doctors, technicians, and front desk staff are all animal lovers when you come to this place. My dog has a chronic kidney disease and the staff has supported us in every way they can since the beginning. The technicians (Denise, Eric, and all the others!) are always soo gentle with him while giving injections, and they are patient to help you with any concerns or questions that you have. Im really glad we chose this place as our veterinary office back when my dog was just a puppy. I highly recommend it!

2022-08-04The staff were very friendly and professional, and I felt that they genuinely cared for the well-being of our pet. They took their time and made sure he was okay before we left. With our pets health in mind, they took time to help us understand what we needed to do to keep him healthy, and give us a good plan of attack.

2022-07-26I recently adopted my first puppy and, after some research, decided on going Oceanside Animal Clinic. During my initial call, to set up a first appointment, I had so many questions and concerns as I was new to all of this. They were so caring and considerate on the phone, I felt they could sense my initial worries as she explained everything so well and really re-assured me. Highly recommend this vet clinic.

2022-07-26We had a wonderful experience at Oceanside Animal Clinic. We have a 7 month olf puppy that is still trying to figure out the world cautiously. It was amazing to see how patient and kind Dr they have. The facility is also clean and nicely decorated. We will be back for sure!

2022-08-04This is by far the finest animal health service I have ever been to. We have had pets all our lives and this is the first time we have been to a clinic that really cares about the animals, their owners, and the animals of their community. I have taken my dogs to them for years and will continue to do so.

2022-07-24Our vet was out of town and my cat was ready to part us. I called Oceanside Animal Clinic and they were beyond responsive and catering in making our experience comforting. Our paperwork was already filled out when we arrived. I cannot begin to express my appreciation for this office for this incident. This establishment is a rare find and one I will continue to use them in the future.Thank you again

2022-08-04I have been going to the Oceanside Animal Clinic for two years now. I drive 25 miles each way to go to them because my animals receive excellent care. The staff is wonderful and very attentive to my pets. I trust them completely.
