I cannot recommend Octomovers enough! We moved cross country. When they found out that the carriers that were supposed to do the second part of our move, could not guarantee a date of arrival, they ended up taking care of it on their own to ensure an on-time delivery. They were courteous, professional and well-priced.
Had a great experience with Octomovers. They were professional from beginning to end - the sales team was especially communicative and had the COI on hand for my building. The movers were friendly and wore masks throughout. They also did a wonderful job packing our large breakable belongings/furniture for a cross-state move.Nothing but good things to say - would highly recommend.

The process of setting that up was easy.The move itself was great. Truck showed up on time. Guys were very professional. They took care of everything I needed.I would highly recommend these guys. I don’t have enough room here to say how much I love Octomovers.A few weeks before I moved from Manhattan to Queens, I was searching for a reputable and fair priced moving company, and I just happened to see these guys moving someone else on the same block as me. I asked for their info and they gave me the owner’s business card (Ralph).I emailed Ralph on a Saturday and within hours he got back to me cc’ing his head of sales, Mike. From the moment we began communicating to after the move was completed, Mike was in constant contact with me, making sure I had everything I needed. The price was more than fair, and was much better than any of the others I spoke to. They didn’t charge me for the two COIs I needed (which many movers do) and provided wardrobe boxes.On moving day, they said they’d be there between 9 and 10, and arrived right on time at 9! They helped move my bed and couch into a U-Haul that my dad rented as he was taking those items to his house. All of my belongings were neatly packed into the truck with care, yet they did it so fast! I was amazed.We had an extra stop to make to pick up a couch which they worked into the pricing (still, a very fair price!) before our final destination. Once we got to the new place, they put everything in the rooms where they were labeled, and again, did it so quickly yet with caution. They were all such funny and nice guys too, we had fun talking to them all day.Lastly, I noticed the next day that the cord to my TV was missing and texted one of the guys to see if they had it. The owner, Ralph, personally called me the next day to tell me he found it and then he hand delivered it himself to my new apartment. Talk about good customer service!!I will be recommending Octomovers to everyone I know as the go-to moving company to work with, and whenever it’s time for me to move again, I will 100% call these guys.Thank you, OCTOMOVERS!
This review is for my second time using Octomovers as I prepare to book them for a 3rd job. Ralph’s team did an excellent job moving all my possessions out of a storage unit and into a 4th floor walk up. Punctual, friendly, respectful and very mindful of what order I wanted things moved in and to what location. Nothing broken, damaged, or dirty except a couple incidental dings in some cheap metal furniture that was easy to put back into place. They were a 2-person team (usually a 3-person job) but got everything up with no stalling on the job. It was amazing. It’s always a smooth experience with them. Moving can be really stressful. I trust them to make the day a lot easier.
Octomovers were fantastic in helping us move. Rodney was great when he came to look around the apartment to provide the estimate. On the day of the move, they arrived early, all 4 guys were friendly, professional and very hard-working. They also kindly took items that weren’t initially on the list and they had extra supplies for us. This was my best moving experience by far and I will use Octomovers again when I next move. I had a long-distance in-state move with Octomovers. The experience was great. I had to change the moving date after booking and they were very accommodating. Not only able to work with the new schedule but also kept the same original quote which was a very competitive rate. I did my own packing for the boxes. On the day of the move, they were on-time, moved everything efficiently, and packed my furnitures carefully. It was a next-day delivery. They arrived and delivered everything on-time. Set up my furnitures quickly. The whole process was so smooth and worry-free. Sales team and movers were both very friendly too.
I highly recommend Octomovers. From my first call inquiring if they moved people out of New York State the level of responsiveness and professionalism was top notch. Xavier, Ralph, Paco and Juan skillfully wrapped my velvet couches and other expensive items. Not one item was damaged in any way. They worked quickly and professionally and moved me from Queens to South Jersey. They set everything up when they got to my new location. They had to have been tired but they really made sure everything was where I wanted it, they went the extra mile in every way. Price wise they were the lowest estimate I received. I used Octomovers this past weekend to move me from one city to another. The owner was incredibly responsive through the planning process. Octomovers are awesome! The guys had such an energetic vibe that it made my moving day fun and effective. They moved all my belongings in just a few hours and had all the insurance information my luxury building required. Nothing was damaged or missing. They were very careful with all my furniture and were well prepared with additional boxes, tape, and moving blankets. No complaints here! I definitely recommend and would use them again next time!
Plain and simple: If you are moving, use this company.I worked with Milos. Him and his team are absolutely amazing. They responded with a quote within an hour- always available at the drop of a hat to answer a call or email. I had to change my move in date last minute from a Wednesday to a Friday and they were able to accommodate me with Rate was incredibly fair, service was fast. A third floor walk up one bedroom apartment to a fourth floor walk up apartment and they were done in a little over 2 hours.Covid Precautions: Movers were wearing masks the whole entire process.
Octomovers has moved us into a new apartment twice now (one month ago and the first time 3 years ago). Professional, friendly movers, and more importantly, highly ethical. After our last move, we had mistakenly thought our smart TV was damaged in the move. We informed Ralph, the owner, and he immediately took full accountability for the cost of repairing and potentially replacing our TV. He found a repairman and had his movers bring the TV in and out of our apartment, at no cost. When we found out that the TV was in fact NOT damaged but simply not working because it was connected to a light dimmer switch, I apologized and offered to reimburse him for the costs and trouble. He declined payment and was simply happy to know that our TV was working. Based on our two moving experiences and how well the TV situation was handled, I would definitely use them again, knowing that if anything went wrong, things would be resolved in a civil way. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a mover that is highly accountable, will move your things safely, and wont overcharge you.
The move was seamless, the movers were outstanding -- on time, efficient, pleasant, communicative, helpful. Lifted the stress out of the process. I could not have been happier. They even had the forethought to mark the China box that contained the coffee maker -- so I was all set the next day! Also, the price quoted was exactly what I was charged. These guys are the best!
Octomovers is oh so awesome! Moving is already stressful especially when you realize how much stuff you have accumulated over the years. This was my 2nd move in New York and after speaking with a few moving companies Octomovers provided a great price and was able to schedule on my requested date within 4 days of the moving date. Special shout out to Mike who followed up we me regarding the process and checked in at the end of the move to make sure everything went well.The moving team I had was excellent! All of the movers wrapped up the furniture carefully and there was no damage done to the items. Octomovers were recommended to me by a friend. They were amazing! On time, diligent, focused. The company was very responsive and attentive to my inquiries and scheduling. I urgently needed to clear our studio for building work to commence immediately. I had to coordinate it from London and had difficulties, for all sorts of reasons - time zones, payments with a UK credit card, lack of insurance on some vendors parts. By chance, I happened upon Octomovers on Google, rang and Milos got the forms filled out within half an hour, two removal men booked for a couple of hours later that day, for a fair price and kept me updated all the way through. Im really impressed with them, actually, and grateful for their help. Definitely would use again.
Octomovers is the ONLY service that you should trust for your moves. I have been using their services for over a decade - YES - a decade in New York City. They have completely orchestrated 3 apartment moves, about 7 summer moves (NYC to the Hamptons), and countless one-off jobs (moving a mattress and furniture from NYC to the Catskills, moving heavy furniture in the Hamptons from one room to the garage for construction, picking up items and then putting them in my storage unit, and going into my house to collect donations and then delivering on my behalf). Ralph and his team are top notch....A+. Octomovers is the most professional moving company I have ever worked with, or could even imagine working with. They are skilled not only with the technical aspects of planning and executing a move, but also listened with care and were responsive to all questions. I requested a quote on Wednesday and after negotiating a few points, I reserved a pick-up for that Saturday. Everything on the moving end went smoothly. Octomovers team arrived at 9 am and we were moved out of our office into the storage unit by noon. We had our boxes color coded and Xavier and his team were thoughtful in organizing the loading and unloading by the colors. We will definitely be using them for the move out.
The entire experience, from the one-step online quote to delivery at the end of the move, was so seamless that I kept wondering what the catch was. No catch. What a change from prior moves with different companies! Everyone I interacted with at Octomovers was professional, efficient and friendly. The mover were extremely patient and persistent with a couch and a tricky staircase. I would absolutely use Octomovers again, and I would not bother with a quote from anywhere else.

I rely heavy on reviews but never write any, but feel this review needs to be written. I have heard horror stories from friends and colleagues who have used movers, but have never experience any problems, as I have relied on Octomovers for 3 moves and have always gotten outstanding service. The crew is hard working, polite, and most importantly, gets the job done. I collect colored class and have never had a damaged or broken item. Rose was incredible coordinating it all and I frankly could not imagine a move without Ralph, Keith and Mike. Well done guys, and a big thank you!!
You never have to worry about your property when Ralph and his team are in charge. I briefly met Ralph for a small job when he was started his moving and storage business. I had to relocate a few of my belongings from Soho to my storage unit located in Brooklyn. He was 15 minutes early, professional and he followed up once my items were in my storage unit. Three years later (which was October of last year), I needed to relocate my entire apartment to another storage facility in a couple of weeks. I shopped around and everything was over my budget and a few were not even pleasant to talk to while explaining my unique dilema. My unique dilema was that I had to move my materistic part of my life from Venice, Italy. I had to coordinate, compare rates and place calls from my new residency in Europe where I am still in transition. I remember having Ralphs number and I contacted him on Whatsapp and explained by situation at length. Ralph responded promply even while he was on vacation! Who does that these days? Not many many companies whether big or small. I was very impressed! And is not something that easily happens with me as I am very particular and can be annoyingly detailed. Ralph handled and arranged my move while on his vacation. He followed up every step of the way via Whatsapp both by text and voice. He emailed me the inventory sheet when the job was done and all my belongings were in his storage unit. Oh and did I mention he gave the best rate with NO surprises?! He charged exactly what he quoted me. Octomovers is a small company that shares my old fashion customer service values and I can not recommend them any higher. They are truly exceptional and trustworthy. And, that is even more valuable and welcomed when you are 3,000 miles away from home. They truly are a rare gem of a moving and storage company. So in all, if this is what Octomovers did for me from 3,000 miles away, imagine what the service would be being closer?! No need to have any another moving company care for your possessions. I used them for two moves in February, and both worked out as well as I could have hoped for.Mike provided a fixed cost upfront based on my description of each move. On moving day, Mike and his team showed up on time, packed carefully, loaded and unloaded quickly. The second move involved 5 flights of stairs- I was sure glad OctoMovers did the heavy lifting!Best of all, there were no extra fees. Octomovers are the BEST!!! I’ve been using them for decades. They make moving with confidence and ease. We recently moved a 19.5’ by 2.5’ walnut slab from our showroom and no worries. It is a very very heavy piece no worries. The truck fit the slab no worries. I highly recommend them. You’ll can rest with no worries :)

Just used Octomovers to move from a house in Long Island to apartment in Long Island City. The entire team was great. Arrived right on time and filled up the truck with record speed. All our furniture was wrapped securely and safely with zero damage to anything. Move-in was incredibly quick as they are very familiar with the ins and outs of moving into a high-rise building.Overall, a great team and a great bargain. Its always scary picking a mover because there are so many rag-tag movers and rip-off artists out there, but Octomovers is the real deal. Cant recommend them highly enough.

Octomovers did a fantastic job with my recent move on 6/22. This is now my THIRD time using them; they have moved me from BR, Brooklyn to Manhattan last year and I had them return to take several furniture pieces to Long Island. This year I moved further North to the Bronx and wouldn’t have considered using anyone else. I have several antique items including my grandmothers’ Blaupunkt record player/radio system and china cabinet from Germany; they handled these and all my items as if they were their own. We had the smoothest moving experience imaginable.From the moment I rang up Octomovers, the guys were simple, straightforward and very easy to work with. The quote we got from Mike was super reasonable, and cheaper than most of the others.This was a late breaking move—Mike moved heaven and Earth to ensure we got a spot in the schedule with only 72 hours notice (though I dont recommend doing the same).Ralph and the crew showed up right on time, and were impressively fast-moving and professional. Its almost scary how quickly and efficiently they get everything packaged and wrapped up, but I never had any concern that our stuff wasnt being perfectly cared for.The same day, on the unloading side, staircases going up and down made the move a bit longer than we anticipated, but they stayed late to make sure that everything was in its right place—and were unfailingly patient throughout.Would recommend these guys in a heartbeat. A+.
I dont write many reviews, but Octomovers has now made life easier on 3 occasions for me, so I feel like they deserve a shout-out.On the first occasion Ralphy was recommended to me by a friend, and he and his crew helped pack and move my entire apartment into storage and then into my new apartment a month later.The second time, I had a last minute ask to pick up a piece of furniture from upstate NY, and Ralphy himself handled the job for me the very next day without any back-and-forth or hassel for me. It was the simplest transaction I could have asked for and the price felt beyond reasonable.Of course given these experiences, I recommended him to a friend.Ralphy quoted her a better rate than the other companies shed spoken with, and they planned to move forward with the job. Then my friend had to change the date of her move at the very last second. Since Ralphys crews were already booked for the new date and time, he found my friend another moving company, conveyed all the details of the move, and somehow got her the same price that hed originally quoted. He then followed up to ensure that all had gone smoothly, leaving her feeling completely taken care of.Im pretty sure all anyone wants in a moving company (esp in NYC) are fair prices, efficiency, and peace of mind. Octomovers gives you all 3. Seriously guys, thank you so so much. Ill be a lifelong Octomovers customer.
Spectacular experience from start to finish! Milos was wonderful from my first call. Good price, on time, excellent communication from half hour call before they came to constant texts re. progress from NY apartment pick up to my son’s house where stuff was unpacked. My son raved about the 3 men on the job! I highly recommend this company!
Ralph and his crew were excellent! Just had 2 moves in December 2018 which were fairly complicated staging involving 3 different locations and Octomovers were always on time, very helpful and professional all the way through. I recommend them highly.
I reached out to Mike at OctoMovers about a week before our move and during the holidays. He was speedy in his response, took time to update my initial estimate (multiple times) and to speak with me on the phone. The day of the move, Ralph reached out to me when they were an hour away and between him, Keith and Miguel our one bedroom apartment was loaded on their truck in an hour. They nicely accommodated a few random items I didnt have boxed and thought Id have to schlep myself on the subway. Im still unpacking but nothing was damaged or lost in the move. The guys were all very friendly, hard working, and appropriately answered my questions or concerns. Id highly recommend the company for anyone looking to make a move in the city.
An excellent moving company! Already did 3 moves with them (including one from NJ) - always accurate, courteous, always have enough supply, and provide with extra boxes or wardrobe boxes upon request. Will definitely use them again, and highly recommend to friends and family!
My wife and I hired Rafael and his team to pack us and move us between apartments in the UWS. His team was very punctual, courteous and profesional the entire day, even though we had a series of curve balls thrown at us during the course of the day.Morning:The team was of 5 guys who packed us up rapidly (though with a lot of guidance asking us if we wanted certain items sorted...). All our items were packed well so nothing scratched or broke.Afternoon:It turns out or moving date was a pretty hot day (96 degrees outside). While we were ready to move, our new doorman keep a cleaning crew out of the building because he wanted a certificate of insurance (I still dont understand why the cleaning crew would need one...) Anyway, they ultimately had to start moving the boxes at 3:45pm - and after working something out with new super, they allowed us to extend our moving time. Octomovers had moved us completely until 7pm.Rafaels team was understanding and just plowed through. The entire team was careful with our floors, walls and furniture. Looking back, they were dependable and reliable - which is a big deal considering all the headaches of moving. Having moved with other companies in the past and have dealt with people that arent punctual, dependable or respectul, I will say that I strongly recommend octomovers.

I needed an urgent help moving in 2017 as my coworkers arranged for the appartment we were leaving from to be occupied sooner than planned. The guys at Octo replied to my 1st email on July 4th(!) as I had to move quicker than I tought, on July 5th. Imagine the rush! Ralph, from Octomovers accepted without hesitation to help. They had another job on July 5th and were a bit late, so Ralph offered a 10min discount, which was very nice in my circumstances. We only had to move packed boxes & bags, no furniture, etc, from Manhattan to Jackson Heights and Ralph and his crew finished the whole move in under 3hrs. He simply saved us! And everything was intact. After remembering these days of our super-urgent move one year ago I realized that I posted a review on Yelp, but didnt post that on Google. We still remember how they saved us on July 4th, so - five stars and a big thank you!!!
These guys were awesome!! Price was fair and I paid exactly what i was quoted. Rose in the office was easy to work with and very prompt when handling the certificates of insurance. The movers were amazing, wrapped all of my furniture, put my TV in a box during transport and never complained! - even when they realized there was a flight of stairs in my building at the service entrance (which i forgot to mention). I contacted Octomovers a week before my move. I did not know I was going to be closing on my new place and then having to vacate my last residence so quickly. My close date kept being moved around for my new place, yet I had to vacate my old one. Ralph was very understanding and worked with me despite the constant changes on my part. When it came to the move his team was very friendly and responsible with my possessions. There was some minor damage to my place during the move and Ralph came out and promptly fixed it. I have moved several times over the last 10 years. Ralph and his team are by far the best. I give them my highest recommendation.

The Octomovers team earns their money. Theyre supportive, positive, capable, punctual, and skilled at what they do. My mother is a fan, too (some of my stuff went to her house; there were last-minute items all over the place; Ralph didnt even blink). Abrazos to the whole crew!

These guys were great. They did a wonderful job shrink wrapping everything that we put into storage. They took great care of our things and loaded it all into our storage unit without a problem. I will definitely call them again when its time to take it all back out of storage. Thanks guys!

Ralph and his men have-not only moved me, but also 5 of my friends in the past 2 years. Like so many of us, I have a crazy busy schedule and Ralph made my move and my life so much easier. He dumped furniture I didnt want and packed while I was away traveling for work. I came home to a clean and packed up apartment! Ralph and his men are not only professional, but they are kind and fun as well! They sang and danced with me as I left my NYC apartment of 15 years. He is worth every penny!

Was very happy with the efficient, affordable, and effective moving services provided by Octomovers. Moving in the NYC area is notoriously a pain and very expensive. This is not the case if you use Octomovers!
My move this morning went by and I didnt even notice. It was so smooth from the punctal start time to when I said wait, thats it?. 2 hours and all my stuff was in the new place. 5th floor walk up and all. The guys were great, friendly and worked fast even though my belongings received the best care. Everything wrapped. It was great! Thanks guys!

2022-06-29Octomovers was absolutely awesome! They helped me get all of my things from my apartment quickly and my request was very last minute. They also helped get my items shipped through Fed Ex. They waited until everything was shipped made sure that I didn’t get overcharged when I tried to ship my things through fed ex and quickly repackaged my items and even made my box smaller so fed ex couldn’t charge me more. I definitely recommend their service! Thank you again guys! 10/10 !!

2022-06-11Going through about 10 or more moving companies, I landed on Octomovers because of their rating, reliability, flexibility, priced quote, and my luck. I am so grateful to have found them during this busy time of the year because they made my stress go from 120 to 0 with their efficient way of communication. The move itself was spectacular- efficient and items handled with professionalism and caution. Everything wrapped up tight, sturdy, and delivered to my destination with care. The best part was... my storage unit space was tighter than the amount of items that I carried over... and they magically fit everything in. They did it. Ive been through a few moves in my time - I was WOWED by the level of professionalism / expertise, genuine care, pure skill, and humor. I was ... kind of sorry when they rolled away! The administrative end was also truly excellent - great people: thoughtful, ethical, humane, and excellent problem-solving. I just cant say enough good things about Octomovers - Id go out on Broadway with a sandwich sign for them.

2021-06-03I HIGHLY recommend Octomovers. I hired them for a one-bedroom move from Queens to Manhattan and the team led by Robby got the job done so quickly and efficiently. The guys were also super nice and friendly, and put a lot of thought and care into making sure NOTHING got damaged during the move. When we got to my building, we found out the lobby and elevator was closed for the day for renovation but they took charge, spoke to the building manager, and worked out a solution to get everything done. Really reasonable rates and it’s always great to support a local business that’s focused on doing quality work instead of just trying to get a job done as fast as possible. Thank you Ralph, Robby, and team and I will definitely be referring my friends to them!

They also work quickly and are very reasonably priced.I stored two bedrooms worth of furniture at Octomovers storage location while in between apartments during Covid and it was very clean, safe, and great value. Amazing experience and will definitely be using Octomovers for my future moving/storage needs!

The moving team that came to pack, move, and unpack on day-of was incredibly friendly and positive, which made the whole day enjoyable. They were helpful and communicative every step of the way. Moving is considered one of the most stressful parts of life but this coming truly made my experience easy.
