They were fantastic! Very easy consult, appointment set-up and installation. They were in and out within 3 hours and cleaned up after themselves very well. They even tried hooking up my smart thermostat for me. Couldnt have been a better experience!
Not a single bad thing to say. Original quote was reasonably priced and the entire project explained. Work was done on the date scheduled and completed in a timely manner. Everyone was professional and knowledgeable about the system. Works great! Would highly recommend this company!
The people who came to install the AC system were professional and knowledgeable. We also use this company for our furnace maintenance, and they have always done a good job while being personable and knowledgeable about our system.
O’Donnell is the place to go for all your home HVAC needs. They installed a Lennox furnace, A/C unit and since I live in a cape cod style house, they put a separate Lennox heating and cooling unit upstairs. Couldn’t be happier with how cool and warm my house gets when needed! I would definitely recommend O’Donnell to anyone looking to replace/upgrade their heating or cooling units in their home!

We purchased our original furnace with ODonnell and came back to them again for our new furnace and AC. They were not only best in price but all of the staff from Mr. ODonnell to Darlene to all 3 of the guys that were here for the install were friendly, professional and went above and beyond to help us with this large purchase.
The owner Jim was available to answer all of my questions regarding this process. I had two furnaces installed at my rental property and he provided great insight and his price was unmatched by any other company I had provide a quote. On the day of installation, I had 4 technicians install both furnaces and everything was started, finished, and cleaned up within 6 hours. Everyone I have spoken to within this company was extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. ODonnell is the first and only company I would recommend to anyone needing work done. I will be using them in the summer to install the Air conditioners on my systems as well.

This company is very professional in all our dealings with them. They recently installed a new furnace and a new hot water tank. My furnace died in the middle of December last year. Jim came out on a Sunday morning and fixed it temporarily, as it was at the end of its life. He gave me a quote on a new furnace install and was able to come back within a week to do it. Very good service and they did a great job on the install.
The two Technicians arrived on time and went right to work. I needed both a new furnace and AC; and each took on his/her removal of the old unit and installation of the new one. They even took their shoes off when installing the new thermostat! Tim and Nick arrived at my home and started working on removing my old Furnace and AC unit. These two units were very old and out dated.When my old furnace was removed, I wanted to vacuum the area all around, to make sure it was clean before the new unit was installed. Nick insisted he would vacuum for me and made sure it was clean before he started.They tested both systems on completion and explained their operation. I also had a course on how to program my new thermostat accordingly.I would highly recommend this company for their professionalism and knowledge and would refer them to my family and friends. They worked very well together and were very knowledgeable and professional.

I obtained estimates from six vendors - ODonnell was 2nd or 3rd lowest but with all things considered, they were the best value - from equipment brand and model, installation, warranty and overall pre-sale service. We recently purchased a new AC unit and an air purifier from ODonnell Heating and Cooling. We had wonderful service from the moment we got our quote. The install was great and the workers doing the install were very professional and polite. I dusted my home soon after everything was installed and thanks to the air purifier the dust in my home has greatly decreased. We are HIGHLY satisfied with our products and service from ODonnell Heating and cooling and will be forever customers!
Im actually writing about an experience that I had with this company over a year ago. The reason Im writing it now is because of the bill board advertisement for this company that I saw that was the exact opposite of my experience. The bill board basically states that we fix the other guys repairs. Well in my case, I had an incident where carbon monoxide had gotten in the house from the boiler vent that was next to my side door, setting off the carbon monoxide detector. I called the fire department, The fire department discovered a high CO level in my house and a high level of unburned gas coming out of my outside vent because of my son leaving the side door open, the unburned gas was getting back into the house. I called ODonnell HVAC and very quickly Mr. ODonnell arrived at my house. I explained to Mr. ODonnell what the fire department had told me to which Mr. ODonnell told me that the problem was that the burn chamber had been damaged and the boiler should be replaced. I told Mr. ODonnell that my furnace was only 2 and half years old. Mr. ODonnell replied that the high efficiency boilers are not very reliable and a less efficient furnace would be very reliable. I pressed Mr. ODonnell on fixing the burn chamber instead of replacing to which I was told that he could take it apart and clean it with no guarantees and the cost would be 1/3 of a new furnace. Keep in mind Mr. ODonnell hadnt examined anything, he was only going off what I had told him. Reluctantly, I signed up for a new furnace which was to be installed in 10 days (April time period). I had time to think about this and also get a second opinion. I also checked reviews on ODonnell Heating and Air Conditioning and found one negative review that was similar to my experience (no look recommendation for a new furnace). I called SunBeam HVAC, the service technician came out, evaluated the vent output and confirmed that I had an extremely high CO output. He stated that when my system had been put in that they had not adjusted the fuel to air mixture. The technician made the adjustment and reanalyzed the vent output. The CO output had gone from 14,000 parts per million down to under 100. Problem fixed for 300 instead of 4,000. I meant to write a review at that time but let it go until I saw this bill board advertisement stating that ODonnell fixes the other guys repairs (something to that effect) which was certainly the opposite in my case. Mr. ODonnell did not charge me for his recommendation maybe by design. Needless to say I called and cancelled the furnace replacement because of the real problem being fixed. I never got a call back form Mr. ODonnell.
When our air conditioning decided not to work just the first hot spell of the season hit, we had to act fast. After calling a few different companies, ODonnell was able to come out to our house the earliest. Plus they had a lower service call charge. Jim. the owner came out and tried a few things to get it working but it ended up being a bad compressor in a 15 yr old condenser unit. Not only that, but our furnace, still working ok, was 21 yrs old. So we decided to go with a complete Furnace-A/C package and Jim gave us a very fair price. When it came time for installation, the crew was on time, very professional and did a clean, neat install. Throughout the whole process we were impressed with everyone at ODonnell. From the office staff, to the owner, to the install crew. Very pleased we chose ODonnell and would highly recommend them.

On the hottest day of the summer my air conditioner quit. I called ODonnell before business hours and left a message. A short time later, Jim called me and within couple of hours was at my house fixing the issue. Since my furnace and air conditioner were at least18 yrs old, and my furnace was giving me some trouble last winter, I got a quote to replace both. I was very happy with the price I decided to get them replaced. The installers that came to do the job were very friendly courteous, professional and neat. We had ODonnell Heating and Cooling replace our air conditioner and furnace last July. We were extremely pleased with the company from start to finish. We had four companies give us quotes and ODonnells was the best overall and the owner explained in detail what we could expect during installation. We were in the middle of the covid pandemic and ODonnells whole team took all the extra precautions for everyones safety. They showed up on time, were courteous, installed both units efficiently and even fixed an issue with our tankless hot water heater that we had been unaware of. After their clean-up you wouldnt have known they had even been there - except for our new units, which we have had no problems with. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to replace their heating/cooling units.
ODonnell Heating & AC has been awesome to work with. When we bought our house last year we knew we were going to need plenty of HVAC work, which made us nervous. We called around a bit and got a few quotes, then we contacted ODonnell and from that point on the process was great.From the first appointment with Jim, when we got a fair and honest quote, to the installation of our new furnace in the winter, and the installation of our new AC in the spring, they have a been a pleasure to deal with; even the office assistant was helpful in helping us with our rebates. Our furnace blower motor went on our older furnace. Jim answered my call after business hours and came by the very next morning. He gave us a quote to repair and a quote to replace the furnace. I wanted to update the furnace and AC at anyway. He recommended an appropriate system for our needs / house size. The price was also reasonable after incentives.A few days later, they came on time and did a quality job. They were tidy and very professional. The crew was also very helpful with answering any questions I had. I wanted them to relocate the line set in the basement that was in the way and they did an awesome job on that.Lastly, they were prepared with the paperwork I needed to get rebates from National Fuel so I did not have to figure that out on my own. Would definitely recommend - the system is working great!
Needed to have our Furnace replaced so we decided to get AC done as well. The owner came out for the estimate and was very easy to deal with. He didnt try to up-sell us on an overpriced system we didnt need and took the time to explain what the units in our price range offered by comparison to each other. ODonnell offered a great price and threw in some extras that competitors were charging extra for, such as moving the new AC unit away from our deck and patio. Also, the Lennox furnace is very quiet which were thrilled about, we dont even realize its running. Our previous unit was noticeably louder. Very happy.

ODonnell Heating & Air Conditioning installed a new AC and heating system in May, 2020. What a big difference in the efficiency and how quiet the new system performed. ODonnell Heating & Clg Inc. recently installed a Lennox furnace in my home. The technicians arrived on time and they put down tarps to protect my floor in the foyer and the carpeted stairwell to the basement. They gave me an overview of my new furnace and both were friendly and courteous. Everything was done in a reasonable period of time and they even scheduled a truck to stop by later to take away the old furnace. Cleanup was excellent. I would highly recommend this company!
We have recently had a very positive experience with ODonnell Heating & Air Conditioning. Our 1960s boiler had been declining for some time, and we called ODonnell for an estimate for replacement. Jim ODonnell came and the estimate was very reasonable, in the ballpark of another we had received, and as he had installed a furnace in our previous home (with which we had absolutely no issues or concerns after installation) several years ago, we felt inclined to trust him again. Additionally, he was his same jovial self, offered much information on the potential new product, and answered all of our questions right there...and then a few more that popped up later on the phone. However, life got in the way and other priorities came up, leaving this on the back burner.A few weeks later, the old boiler began making grinding noises that started late at night, just as we were heading to bed. We became a bit concerned, wondering if the sounds indicated the boiler was operating in such a way that might be unsafe. I called ODonnell Heating and Jim ODonnell, himself, answered the phone. He was friendly, personable, not at all bothered by the call, even at that hour, and was extremely helpful. We brought the phone downstairs so that he could hear the sound and he identified it immediately and remembered well the condition of the boiler from the estimate he did weeks earlier. He let us know that the part would be very pricey on a model of that age, and had referred us to ponder the estimate that he had done a few weeks earlier. We decided to replace the boiler and he had an appointment open just two days away...so we took it.The installation went smoothly and the techs were friendly and efficient. They explained what would happen each step of the way as they shut off the gas, electric or whatever else was necessary to make the installation possible. I was present for the installation and it went as smoothly as could be.Since that time, we have heard not a sound from our new boiler and we feel very secure in the job that has been done. We are extremely pleased with this service and are happy to recommend ODonnell Heating & Air Conditioning to others. Thank you, Jim, for another job well done!
First off Id like to thank ODonnell Heating & Air Conditioning for the service that was provided. My old furnace was on its last leg and they were very quick with my install. The serviceman came to my house very quick and was knowledgeable and friendly. They also installed my furnace right before we hit a very cold week here. The main reason Im so grateful for this company is because I had another company come over prior to ODonnell that was trying to charge me over double what I ended up paying through this company. They saved me thousands and I didnt feel like they were B.S salesman trying to sell me the highest priced furnace. Install was very quick and my house has been warm ever since. ODonnell Installed a brand new Lennox Air Conditioner in, as the old one was very old, and on its last leg. The owner came to our home right away on a Saturday to give us an estimate, and was very willing to answer any questions we had, as well as be sure to give us what we wanted and were looking for. The installers who came in to install it were fast, friendly, and efficient. I would definitely recommend ODonnell Heating and Cooling to anyone who is looking for top of the line equipment, and service of course. Very happy with our decision.

I would never in my life recommend this company to anybody. This is the worse experience I have ever had with a company. They came out to do a maintenance on my furnace said I needed a new motor and would replace it for me. 2 weeks pass and never received a phone call back about replacing it so I called and the rep gone tell me my house is very old and I got ripped off for buying my house when the guy that came to look at the furnace never said that.
I will give this company 5 stars easily!!Starting with my experience with Dawn, in the office, who was friendly and helpful getting an appointment set up with Jim ODonnell to come and see me about installing a new furnace and humidifier. He quoted me a decent price and we set up an install date asap. The service techs who came to install the furnace arrived timely and were professional. The installation went well, with the final step being installing the thermostat. The service tech also reviewed the operation of the new thermostat with me. Another company, thru ODonnell, came and removed my old furnace. In the end, the installation was done before you knew it. The work area was left clean.I had a good experience with this company and would highly recommend them!Additionally, I called Dawn a few months after my installation asking if they knew a Lennox authorized dealer in York, Pa. for a relative of mine. Dawn looked this information up for me and provided me with a name and phone number of an authorized dealer in that area. Who would do that! This shows they care!
We are truly happy with our decision to have O’Donnell install our new furnace and central air unit. From the moment the estimate took place we new that they were the company for us. We heard from several people how great they were and that just sealed the deal. Everyone has been professional and extremely nice and seem to go out of their way to go above and beyond. Tim and Nick installed my furnace and ac unit last fall my house was 80 degrees when they left and said it might take all night to get down to 73 degrees. My house was at 72 degrees in 3 hours. I couldn’t be happier with the installation and probably were the best service guys I’ve had at my house. I don’t even think they stopped for lunch. I have no problem recommending O’Donnell to anyone which I already have to a good friend who is also happy with there work.
Owner personally came out to my house to help refill the A/C system. He offered to continue to top-off the leaking system until they could schedule the new system install, which he did. The two workers who came to do the A/C and furnace install were quick, clean, and friendly. Everything is working great. I highly recommend giving ODonnell a call for comparison to any other HVAC company.
We had our 22-year-old furnace replaced with a new, energy-efficient furnace, and we added on central air-conditioning. The staff were all excellent! ODonnell himself came out to give us the quote and discuss our options; the two technicians who removed our old furnace and installed the new units were prompt, efficient, polite, and friendly; and everyone we spoke with on the phone was polite and helpful. The technicians also were very clean, and they finished very quickly (but did not do a rush job). Were happy to keep our money local and support someone who seems invested in the community. There was no overselling and no scare tactics---just honest assessment and feedback. Plus fair pricing. No complaints!
Great experience. When we had below zero temps and my furnace couldn’t keep up, other companies were telling me they couldn’t get out in days.O’Donnell was out the same day, and the owner himself came out to do the troubleshooting. Jim was a straight, honest guy and they were able to replace my furnace the next day. They left my basement clean, and were professional the entire time. The total install took two hours at a price I found more than reasonable.10/10 would hire again.
ODonnell was one of the few companies that got back to me quickly (on a Saturday). The owner himself came out for a service call on our old furnace, and suggested replacing the unit since it about 18 years old and the inducer motor was making the wrong kind of noise. I shopped around and found that his price was fair, and his installers were very experienced, polite. (They took about 2 hours for the install). The new furnace is much quieter than the previous one, and they also threw in a new humidifier. For writing this review, I will get one free maintenance call.
Jim took the time to explain everything and answered all of my questions. The two installers were courteous, efficient and left everything as they found it. In the past, I dealt with a larger company.Their service, along with the expertise of their technicians, deteriorated greatly as time went by. This was, BY FAR, a much better experience.
16 year old ac unit died out, due to freon changes in 2020 was forced to replace my ac and furnace, something I was NOT prepared for. Came home from work after spending $8200 for two new units, install technicians didnt relight my hot water tank (disappointing cold shower after a long day at work), and the $8200 didnt even include a .99c air filter... was left with no filter in my new unit. Spoke with office manager prior to this review to afford them the opportunity to make it right and was told to buy my own filter and they would let the techs know they didnt take care of the hot water tank... wow.
My sump pump failed and had to replace my furnace. Jim came out within hours of my call, diagnosed the issues and provided me a quote to replace the unit. They installed the new furnace in less than 48 hours. The installation crew was great and swapped out the furnace in under three hours. The price was competitive and the service from both the office and installation crew was fabulous. I would recommend ODonnell and will use them in future.

I will first say that my experience with O’Donnell Heating and Cooling was fantastic! I am very pleased with their response time, professionalism and genuine care for their customers. Because they knew I was without heat in the Buffalo NY winter weather they were able to move around some things to get me and my family heat as soon as possible even when it was a busy time for them. I called them on Monday evening, they sent a technician out on Tuesday and by Wednesday afternoon I had a new furnace installed and heat restored to my home. The whole process with them was smooth and professional. At every point of contact the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, even joking around with me along the way. They were able to explain what happened to my furnace and even showed me the reasons why it needed to be replaced and what furnace would be the best fit for my home. I will definitely refer family and friends to them and return myself when the necessity should arise. Thanks again O’Donnell!
We checked around quite a bit and ODonnell had the best price for both a new heater and air conditioner. They were professional and nice, wore the proper PPE, and got the job done well and on time. We also appreciate that they offer a veterans discount.
From the moment I spoke with the scheduler in the office to my contact with the service men, the experience with ODonnell was easy and pleasant. I am a new customer, yet was given same-day service. I originally called for service to my furnace/AC because water was leaking from the hoses. Id also lost hot water so needed the tank inspected. When Justin arrived, he immediately determined that the hose leak was simply caused by a switch in the fuse box that was off. Next he discovered melted wires, which he showed me, in the hot water tank,. They replaced the tank the next day. As they were getting ready to leave I noticed water gushing in the sump area. Justin attempted to make an adjustment, but when that failed he turned off the back-up pump that was malfunctioning and arranged for a plumber to call me. That evening the plumber, Kevin, stopped by and explained in detail the cause of the problem with the back-up pump. As soon as he is able to get a new part he will be back to do the repair. The patience, courtesy, workmanship, attention to detail, and integrity of the ODonnell staff and crew is outstanding. I will be calling them soon to do a maintenance check on my furnace.
I would highly recommend ODonnell Heating and Cooling. They installed a new furnace for us Dec. 2019. Everything about them was professional from the initial visit thru the installation. And we love our new Lennox furnace how well it heats the entire house, not just the rooms closest to the thermostat. Love how quiet it is too. Hard to tell it is even running.
ODonnell has been our go to HVAC contractor ever since they diagnosed our furnace problem several years ago. When our furnace stopped working this past winter, we decided to replace it. We called ODonnell that morning and they replaced it the same day! Wow, what great service. The crew arrived and maintained all COVID-19 precautions as my elderly father was living in the house. The new furnace and humidifier were up and running that afternoon. The price was quoted from a previous repair call, and was honored by ODonnell when we needed the replacement. My furnace stopped working recently which affected my central AC. I called O’Donnell and they sent someone out that day. I was given the option of fixing the specific problem or installing a new furnace. I have already had several repairs done over the last few years and knowing my furnace is at least 25 years old I elected to get the new furnace. The installers came a week later and were very polite, friendly and cleaned up well after the job was done.

They were able to complete the work quickly after deciding to go with them and theyre very responsive to phone calls. Ive also been using them for heating service work. In September my husband and I replaced our 47 year old boiler with forced air including AC. We hired ODonnell Heating. I was dreading this process, I am not a project gal! But we knew this was a must have in our new home. Jim was very reassuring everything would go smoothly and recommended a great system. Jim immediately made a favorable impression on us with his ideas during our initial estimate. He was smart and down to Earth and he didnt pressure us. Also the price we were quoted was very competitive. He even came back another time to show me a sample of the floor registers they use to reassure me again. Have been using them since I bought my house in Tonawanda 6 years ago. Called them out because my AC stopped working and they diagnosed it as a bad capacitor and repaired unit for super cheap. I called ODonnell over Memorial Day Weekend 2020 as our A/C unit stopped working. My plan was to replace the unit earlier that Spring (it was 15 years old and showing and sounding its age) with our regular HVAC company, before we experienced the very scenario of it going out on us (I didnt think it had another summer season left in it), but we got sidetracked.When Jim arrived to give us a quote I already made the decision we would be replacing the unit. Jim told me he would likely be able to get the unit running (that thought never crossed my mind). He opened the unit and had it running in a short amount of time. We now had the option of being invoiced for the repair or we could put that money towards a new unit. It worked out well for us. They were scheduling about 3-4 weeks out for new installation appointments, so we were able to continue to use out existing unit while waiting for the new installation.We usually use a hyper-local HVAC company who we know and trust right in our town, but given the circumstances and the length of the heat wave when our A/C went out, we had no choice but to go with someone else as we couldnt get a service appt with our current company for over two weeks (which was understandable).ODonnell was responsive, prompt, honest, fair and reasonably priced. A company could have taken advantage of us given the situation (a long stretch of hot and humid days). Youd pay almost anything to get your A/C running under those circumstances. They didnt do that. I would call them again.
My furnace gave up the ghost about 15 hours ago. Called and spoke to Jim at ODonnell, he guided me through the options and offered a great price for a replacement unit. The guys who did the work did so quickly and without leaving an unsightly mess. Time and quality of service without an emergency repair fee helped soften the blow of a surprise repair like this. Highly recommend these guys to anyone who require this kind of service.As an addendum, my second HVAC repair was just completed. My furnace went on the coldest day and to maintain the pattern my central air quit on the hottest. Same results: quick, efficient and pleasant to interact with. I recently had ODonnell Heating and Cooling to my home for an estimate and the owner himself came to give the estimate. He was very professional, polite, and on time. After I made my decision to go with ODonnell a date was scheduled for installation. The crew that was sent to the house was very professional and explained things throughly on what they were doing. After they finished one of the installers brought me downstairs and outside to show me what work was done. He then went over how to use my smart thermostat and how to connect it to my homes wifi. I purchased a new Lenox furnace, Lenox AC, and an iComfort thermostat.
I called ODonnell Heating and cooling after my 25 year old furnace and AC broke. I had called about 6 other companies for estimates and to inquire what brands they sold. My furnace of course broke on a weekend and to my surprise it was hard to get a hold of companies to come and take a look and give me pricing. ODonnell called back quickly and not only that came right out to look at my furnace. I knew I needed a new unit it was really just a matter of price and deciding what model to buy. Once ODonnell was here it was pretty cut and dry he gave me a price, explained his financing, and the timing it would take to get the unit installed. He didnt push to upsell what I was buying or offer a bunch of stuff I didnt need. It took me a couple of hours of dealing with all the other sub par companies before I called ODonnell back and had him do the work. I am so glad I did they did a fantastic job. His office manager was super helpful too overall it was a great experience. The installation was done on time without any added cost. They worked cleanly, efficiently and were courteous to my family while they were here. They even helps me get all the rebates I could so I could recoup some costs. I highly recommend them for your heating and cooling needs they are great.
Replaced old furnace and A/C unit.Great job, pricing was in line with all other quotes that I had received.Crew installed both items in an afternoon. They were very polite and professional, they removed the old equipment. There was no clean up needed afterwards!They even loaned us a portable A/C unit to use in the bedroom while we waited for the install appointment.

Last spring, while the temps were still cool enough to require my furnace to run, and while I was working from home due to COVID, I started noticing a bit of a smell while my furnace was running. It wasnt very strong, but enough that it was disturbing to my nose. My forced air furnace at the time was 42 years old, so figuring I probably had a small crack in the heat exchanger allowing some gas to escape, I decided it was time to replace it. Ive never had central air, only two window ACs that I had to bring up from my basement and take back down again every season. Im not getting any younger, and it was starting to get harder to carry those two units up and down the stairs, so I decided to get central AC as well.I brought in 4 different HVAC companies for estimates. I heard about ODonnell from a co-worker and decided that they would be one to bring in. Jim, the owner, was the first one I brought in. The first thing he said to me was that his company would be the least expensive one. I thought that was sort of cocky of him, but after listening to the other three companies, sure enough, ODonnell was the least expensive for the value of the products. I also found out that a friend of mine uses ODonnell for their annual maintenance, and they loved him, so I decided to go with Jim and his company.Jims three man crew came in, removed my old furnace, installed the new furnace, and installed the new AC, all in about 5 hours. Not too shabby. While it was pretty late in the season for using the AC, Ive had a few warm days, and the AC has been great. Ive also now had to use the heat a number of times, and that has been working well too. Im very pleased with my purchase, and will use ODonnell again for my maintenance.
I woke up today with no hot water. My previous HVAC company had gone out of business and i needed help!! I called ODONNELL at 8am. I explained my problem and told them I needed a new water heater. I spoke to Dawn who assured me they could help me and told me a new water heater would run quite a bit, around 12 or 1300 depending on the size. That certainly wasnt good news. She arranged to have a serviceman, Justin, come to my house today between 11 and 2. He showed up at 1230. He was so professional and not only inspected my water heater but also checked my furnace which I thoroughly appreciated. He could easily have told me I needed to replace both. Instead, he worked on the water heater, cleaned the filter and got it running again. When he checked my furnace he was kind enough to replace my filter. He told me both were fine and to call if I needed anything again. I couldnt believe it! He handed me a minimal bill and then gave me paperwork and helped me fill it out to send to National Fuel for a rebate. I told him how impressed I was with the company and that I would definitely become a loyal customer for the future. I recommend ODonnell highly. Its very hard these days to find an honest and competent company and today I found both.
Called about replacing our hot water tank. Once they discovered that it was because our tank was broken, they went out of their way to come as soon as they could and help us get the tank replaced. Our installers did their work fast and efficiently, explained anything that needed explaining, and then we were all set. Price was right in line with other quotes received, and quite reasonable. Highly recommended!
We called ODonnell heating as we have since 2009. They came out to the house and told us we needed a pump for our boiler system. It would be about 600.00, we said ok. My mother called the office a couple days later to see when they thought they could be out. She was told by a Tammy that she was looking for a pump but said it was going to be a while if they could even find one and she should just put a whole new system in. My mother said she was just listening to the service person and her son. Tammy said well thats your problem your listening to your son. Obviously not the correct thing to say to an 86 year old mother. I am in business and had any of my staff ever spoke to a customer in such a demeaning manner I would let them go. We will never contact ODonnell heating again for any reason and let this be a lesson to the staff. We dont need you, you need customers and ODonnell just lost a long time customer.
We had a new furnace installed in August of 2016 and the employees of ODonnell were very courteous, and helpful to us. We had ODonnell install 2 furnaces in our rental property, and an AC/Furnace combo in our home. Not only were the prices reasonable, but the installations were professional and efficient. The rental property was a huge job too. It was an old coal furnace, converted into an oil furnace with the huge octopus looking heat vents. Not only did they remove all of the old, ugly vents, but they installed an entire new furnace with beautiful new vents. It looks amazing, and didnt cost an arm & a leg! There have been several times where we needed services on our furnace, and Jim ODonnell has always been quick to come right out to help us. I highly recommend their services.
Our furnace stopped working one day in December 2017. Jim came out within a few hours to look at it. We were able to get a new one installed within a few days (luckily, the weather was still cooperating and it wasnt terribly cold; plus we used our fireplace to keep us warm). The men who came to install the new furnace were professional and courteous and cleaned up afterwards. We also needed to have our a/c replaced and we opted to wait until April 2018 to have that done. We had an issue getting our rebate from National Fuel. They rejected our rebate twice and Dawn was very helpful and faxed the paperwork for us. We are very pleased with ODonnell and would recommend them to our friends and family.
Jim came quickly when asked to provide an estimate. The price was good and a date set for installation of A/C and furnace in 6 weeks. Dawn was consistently available for questions. Installers Jacque and Allison were professional and efficient. Despite a technicality raised by the Town of Amherst in issuing a permit, everyone kept focused and completed the job as promised.

I bought my first home last year in Buffalo, and it had a 20 year old furnace in it. Fast forward to fall 2017 when I tried to turn the heat on after a cool evening, and nothing happened. This being my first home, I wasnt really sure what to do, besides try resetting the furnace. Still no dice. I started to Google heating and cooling repair, and it being on a Saturday, almost everyone I called wanted a $150-$200 house call to just come take a look. I got to ODonnell after a few calls, and the owner answered right away and said hed pop over in a little bit. He showed up a little later, and got the furnace running again, but very patiently explained why I might want to start considering a new one. I mean there was no pressure at all, he offered to fix my old one, but also walked me through what a new furnace could do for a house I had just bought. I opted for a new furnace on that Saturday, and by Tuesday afternoon, it was in and I was set to go. Honestly you hear nightmares about dealing with this type of stuff from other homeowners, but this was a fantastic experience. They were super-informative about the new furnace, didnt put on a heavy sales pitch, had it done within a few hours, AND got me $500 in rebates. I very rarely stop to write reviews, but this company is so fantastic, and the work they did was awesome. If youre considering a new furnace or your old one is broke and youre looking to call someone, these are the folks to call. I will never call anyone else for heating or cooling in Buffalo - they have a customer for life. They go the extra mile and they do quality work, in my opinion you cant really ask for much more than that.

Im very happy with my new Lennox central air conditioner that ODonnell Heating and Cooling installed this week. I purchased a Lennox furnace from ODonnell in 2010 and was impressed with their professionalism. The furnace was a perfect replacement for the old oil furnace in my mid-century house. When it was time to replace a ductless air conditioner that no longer worked I called ODonnell. The new air conditioner completes the heating/cooling system in my house. Its working great, nicely cooling all levels of the house. The prompt, courteous, efficient service remains at ODonnell Heating and Cooling.
Twice in a couple months our furnace broke. The first time it was a spare part and easy fix, oDonnell got the heat back cooking the same day we called. 2 months later, sporadic heat, furnace isnt running, call them up- same day furnace is diagnosed and somethings broken, the furnace is old (happens to the best of us) they recommend we replace it. They not only installed it the very next day, they deducted the cost from the first fix and gave us a unit better suited and more eco-friendly for our living space, plus with the purchase were eligble for a refund for the gas company. Great service, thanks.

O Donnell Heating & AC were amazing. Jim personally came to our house and explained everything during the initial consultation. He worked with us to place the AC unit in a spot in our yard that we preferred, and was able to set us up for installation the following week! His quote was very fair (having compared to other companies in the area) and he was very knowledgeable. The installation team were prompt and very professional. The job was performed within a quick time frame, all while making minimal noise (we have an infant at home). Jim (the owner) even stopped by towards the end of the job to ensure that everything was being completed to our satisfaction and check on the install. I would recommend this company again and again.
In May of 18 our AC System began malfunctioning; after patching it together for a few years (and knowing it was time to replace it), we decided to reach out to ODonnell to replace it.We used them in our old home for maintenance, but this was the first time we used them for install work.Jim came out for an estimate on a Thursday, beat his competitors prices by a substantial amount, and the technicians arrived for the install on Monday.They were clean, courteous, made some simple recommendations and modifications to improve efficiency, and the unit reduced our costs, is quieter, and more efficient than the old system. What an awesome professional job I had a new a/c installed and I switched a hot water tank to a tankless water heater. Tim and Nick were very polite very knowledgeable and worked together very well no issues and in a timely fashion very impressed and happy with their job
When our furnace ceased to work at approximately 9PM on a cold March Saturday night, my husband called ODonnell and a technician arrived to our house by 11PM. Unfortunately for the furnace, it was completely dead. However, ODonnell got us our brand new one first thing Monday morning. We also had air conditioning installed at the same time, both for a very reasonable and fair price. Additionally, the late night weekend service call was extremely reasonable price wise, only about $50 versus others $200+. Everything worked quickly and smoothly and we are very grateful!
Finally, a contractor you can trust! When our furnace needed replacement we decided to go with ODonnell and couldnt have been happier with our decision. There was no pressure to spend more than necessary, we were even encouraged to keep our existing AC unit. Installation was on time and extremely professional. I have used ODonnell Heating and Cooling for several years now. They installed new air conditioning and have serviced the air condition and an older boiler. They have always provided great service for a good value. My older boiler has quit working twice in the past year and they were able to come out within a few hours to make the necessary repairs for a fair price.
This review is for the service that I received on the install of 2 new cooling units (product performance not yet determined). ODonnells provided a comprehensive estimate at a competitive price point. The installation team was on time, knowledgeable, and courteous. They went above and beyond in their efforts to work cleanly, and they were very focused on protecting my floors during the interior portion of the job.
We had a replacement Lennox furnace installed in our home in July 2017. The ODonnell team was on time for their appointment and finished putting the new furnace in within a few hours. They were very professional and cleaned up everything completely when they were done. The old furnace in our basement, which was a very heavy Lennox Pulse furnace, was removed within a few hours, as promised. Highly recommended.

Jim ODonnell came promptly and serviced our very old air conditioning unit to get it working again for a fraction of the price of what a competitor had said that wed need a full rejuvenation or a new unit.This other company had been to our house just the day before and without telling us had completely disconnected the unit - so of course we wouldnt get it to work. My old furnace (RIP) fired its last flame on Christmas day. After scrambling to find a replacement, I spoke to a good friend who referred me to ODonnell. So I gave them a call. Long story short, they replaced it two days later. I was extremely happy with how smooth the install and removal of my heating and cooling system was. They came to our home today to access a problem that we were having with our air conditioning unit. We were told that our unit most likely needed a Freon charge. They technician diagnosed the problem and had our unit up and running in no time. He is one of the best technicians that the O’Donnell Heating & Air Conditioning has ever sent out. Friendly, honest, and extremely knowledgeable.
I found the place I trust. I know when I call for service they come out ASAP. Had a service call on Saturday morning, my 20+ year air conditioner will cool no more. The owner came out a hour later and gave us a quote for a new unit. He gave us options and the info to make up our mind. The install team with Tim came out today, 3 1/2 hours later its done. Basement was cleaner than I left it. Outside unit in, no mess left around. Tim went over a few points and I signed and I got a cooler house. Thank you.! You can call them in and trust what they tell you. Got my furnace from them 2 years ago, in the cold of winter, I didnt stay cold, they got the unit in, and my family was safe. They have some financial service to help arrange payments if needed. And yes thats him on the billboards.
In August (2016) I had my furnace, air conditioning and hot water tank replaced by a crew from ODonnell Heating and Cooling. From the estimate with Jim ODonnell, through the installation and removal of the old equipment, everything ran smoothly. Questions were answered and work was done in an efficient and clean manner. The price was right, and I would definitely recommend the services of ODonnell Heating and Cooling.
I am doing this for a friend, he will not write in a comment...My friend called, scheduled an appt, owner showed up. My friend liked him and was impressed and though he was grounded...... Not so fast!! After he go several proposals all similar. He selected ODonnell. A date for installation was given about 8 weeks later. J received a call /message on Monday June 7th, to confirmed the installation on Wednesday June 9. J calls Tuesday June 8th to say yes to the installation, and called back later on to clarify the financing. When J gets home on Tuesday afternoon a finds a message from the owner recorded around 3:30 pm. Letting him know the outside unit was not available (was to be delivered that day and nothing) to call him back. An hour later J calls. he gave him some other alternatives of units J did not want from the beginning. J asked for the substitute upgrade. the owner/Jim agreed in a fair way, gave him the information so J can look it up (after J put hours in researching what he was about to purchase and agreed to). He calls the owner an hour later, and was IGNORED, J proceeded to leave a message asking to call him back all this around 5:40 om. Never got a call back. The next day (installation day) J called the office first thing in the morning, the owner Jim answers and said that he was trying to call earlier (before 8am) and could get a hold of him (J), not true. I was visiting from Monday and we were up at 5am. All these events caused stress J lost all trust and confidence and decided to canceled all of it. people have to be upfront and honest. I believe J was treated with indifference in a total did not care mode. To the business losing a customer do not mean a thing, it seems like. All the good the business owner could had done to please and satisfy a customer was not a priority. Is it because J is Latino, has a slight accent? It was felt that J had no value, no one can tell but J. I wished Mr ODonnell would had made the right thing for such an extraordinary human being as J. I hope I can change the story with a better outcome.. maybe !
They came out quick on a Sunday and at a great price, others quoted us 3x’s the price to come out on Sunday. They were able to install a new furnace by Monday at noon. This was the week of the polar vortex in Buffalo! Great full for the fast fair service. They even removed old furnace. Happy to write this review in my warm house today.
The furnace unit that I had installed is compact, quite and efficient. The service crew was timely and professional and gave me instructions on the use of my new unit. ODonnell Heating and Cooling gave me a fair price and I am very pleased and satisfied.

We had to have a new air handler and air conditioning condenser installed. I was very nervous about the installation as the air handler is in the attic and one wrong step they would land in our living room! And I was also afraid of any damage that might occur in taking out the old unit and bringing in the new. Tim and Nick couldnt have been more careful, more considerate, or more polite. It was so hot in the attic and never once did they complain about it. I also would like to give a shout out to Dawn in the office who is always so sweet and helpful. I have used ODonnell for r furnace repairs as well and they are quick to respond and get us up and running quickly. They have me as a customer for life!
We called ODonnell H&C add a central A/C to an existing furnace, and add a mini-split A/C unit to our family room, which was an add-on separate from original house and had a separate heating system from the main furnace. Mr. ODonnell responded quickly, and gave us a detailed quote, explaining each element of the quote and how it would work with existing equipment, and how the new mini-split would fit into the family room. We contracted for the work, and set a start date. His crew came in as specified, and worked efficiently and quickly installing the two systems. He specified two days, but had additional crew and finished the job in one day The new Lenox mini-split is terrific, and the installation neat and does a great job. The Lenox unit added to the central furnace works great. We are very thankful we got the units installed before this very hot summer, and they are doing a very good job of making our house comfortable.
I had new air conditioners installed in 2016 and a boiler and hot water tank in 2017. I have had no problems and have been very happy. The AC units worked great during the summer of 2018, which was very hot. I was also very pleased with the installation process for all products. The workers were very professional and courteous.
We have now had our new furnace, central air and water heater through all seasons. After one year we couldnt (and I really mean couldnt not could) be happier. When Jim first visited, he asked many questions to make certain we ended up with the products that best met our needs at competitive pricing. The technicians were professional and well trained. Had a 42 year old Sears Kenmore AC that never needed a service call but knew it was just a matter of time so I decided to look into getting it replaced. Called 6 local contractors and a couple did not call back or show up. Based on the info I did get, ODonnell had the best make and pricing. They also did some extras that improved my HVAC system that the others never offered or talked about. I bought the Lennox XC14 2 1/2 ton. Recently we had ODonnells come and install a min-split AC and they were wonderful to deal with. From Jim to the installers to Dawn they are great to deal with and always professional! Watch out as these guys are subcontracted by shady scammers and con artsist like greenstar home services who had to pay for over 90 fake reviews just to help hide the fact that they are scamming people daily and overcharging for equipment through NYSERDA programs. Look at all the reviews for greenstar and youll see every bot posting a review only has 1 or 2 reviews total and are very clearly not real human beings. Dont work with this company since they choose to work with scammers.
Excellent and rapid service. My old furnace (approximately 50 years old, I think), broke down. Jim ODonnell came right out to check it. They installed a new furnace asap. The installation team was highly professional. The furnace was installed and re-vented in three hours! Runs beautifully :-)
We have used ODonnell several times and have always been happy with their prompt and professional service. This time an unusual incident happened when they first gave our old AC to a neighbor to scrap instead of asking us if we wished to do that to help off set our expense. Then two days later a couple rang our doorbell to ask where our old AC was because ODonnell told them we replaced the unit and they could scrap it. We were very unhappy with both situations.
We have a small wall heater in our sunroom that hasn’t been used in over 20 years. ODonnell Heating & Air Conditioning Inc was of great help. They had the unit disconnected at the wall and at the breaker box in no time. They took a look at the breaker boxes and let me know all was well. I highly recommend them.

I initially had a quote (and contract) from a Roys and was looking for an add-on (Hot Water tank) to my order; Roys never returned my call and I reached out to ODonnell Heating for a quote on a HWTank. They not only beat Roys quote, but I received all 3 (Furnace, AC and HWTank) for a lower price and higher end - better systems. I felt stupid at first for signing a contract with Roys but then felt great that I found ODonnell and canceled with the other company. After sharing the price I was paying ODonnell with friends and family, they confirmed it was a great deal -- even the guy at Roys said I cant match that price for those systems! WIN! During consultation, I was given so much more information that was easy to understand, rebate forms filled out for me and the workers were professional and cleaned up after their work. They were efficient and knowledgeable. I couldnt be happier with the work done and my home is amazingly warm and I received the best HWT on the market! My Lennox furnace has been wonderful so far -- lower bills, quiet and Im happy. I wouldnt hesitate to work with this company again or recommend them to everyone I know.
Hired ODonnell to install my furnace, A/C, hot water tank, and two air ducts. Installers were able to overcome obstacles during the installation and performed the work expected. Very professional and friendly. Great experience and reasonably price.

My wife and I have worked with Jim ODonnell and his crew for many years, first to have a boiler installed to replace our ancient one, and more recently to have two Lennox mini-split air conditioners installed downstairs, adding them to the one we have in our master bedroom.When we contacted ODonnell, my wife spoke with Dawn, his secretary, about setting up a time for Jim to come to our home to assess our needs. He arrived on time and spoke with us about different options for cooling the downstairs. We decided upon the two mini-splits mentioned above and arranged to have them installed in just a few days.Two of Jims workers -- Tim and Nick -- arrived promptly on the day we had arranged for the installation, and everything went flawlessly. After the mini-splits were put in place they were tested and everything worked as designed. (The air conditioning units themselves are outdoors, small, and reasonably discreet.)The mini-splits now on our walls are whisper quiet, and during these days of heat and high humidity work quickly and efficiently to cool our home. In fact, one of them is on as I write this. We are very pleased with the units and with ODonnell Heating and Cooling.

After several so-called experts proposed replacement costs for my home, my decision was simple. O’Donnell arrived on time and actually repaired my ac in 2 minutes after Roy’s told me it was going to cost $2000 to repair. I understood that the unit in question was older, but was completely misled by by Roy’s . O’Donnell not only had my family comfortable in minutes, but gave me a proposal to replace the system that actually was $3000 less than the Roy’s !Wow! Couldn’t be happier. Called Jim on Sunday, because I had alternate heating it wasnt urgent. He came on Monday, got furnace working but suggested new furnace, since mine was almost 25 years old. We got both the furnace and AC. The furnace was installed that Thursday, The techs were prompt, and did a great job. The AC wont be done until the spring. The response from the home office to my CO problem was very rapid.The crew scheduled to come in to replace the problem system was on time. They also completed the switch out far sooner than I expected. They also were also able to simplify the rather rube goldbergish water and gas piping from the previous installation.The hot water replacement system has now been running for over 40 hours with no problems.All in all I am very satisfied with tODonnells service and pricing.
I was very impressed with the installers work. This was a tough job. In very tight quarters they removed a 55 to 60 year old furnace and replaced it. Including the humidifier and duct work. The Installers were professional, knowledgeable, and patient. GREAT WORK.!!!!

We had 90+degree weather today and our ac stopped working at noon. We called ODonnell and a few others to come fix it. Odonnell gave us the best price and came out by 3pm. Not only did Jim fix the problem, but he was fast (about 5 minutes), and didnt try to upsell me anything or try to replace the whole unit. My AC is working great! Disappointed. My 1 star review is similar to an existing review. They came out that cold day but 3 hours late. Barely looked at my older boiler and said parts were not available and not worth repairing. He recommended a $4000 new one. They sent a salesman instead of a repairman when I was at my neediest. I emphasized that I could not afford that at this time and asked if he could please repair. He said I could finance a new one. He practically ran out the house when he could not sell me a new unit saying he would look in warehouse and definitely get back to me that day. He never did and left me hanging without heat on a 5 degree evening. Terrible thing to put money and sales over customers and people.
Had ODonnell check my old air conditioner last August when no cool air was blowing through. When it finally conked out the next month, ODonnell was there the next day to replace and haul away the broken unit. The new unit came with 10yr parts, 2 yr labor & a 10yr compressor guarantee. So when I found a leak recently, I knew who to call - ODonnell booked me first thing in the morning as requested. They have been professional, prompt & reliable in all my interactions with them. I was referred by a friend who had a great experience..me not so much! Called the night before was told someone would come between 8-9am next day 9:40 noONE called in was told someone was told to show by 9am..I took a 1/2 day off of work! Showed up at 10:20 looked at thermostat I put in said it probably was motor but unit was old would take a bit to find he said dont quote me $500-600. I said Id get back to him 5 min later it stopped working he showed me what to spin to make it go..nothing! I called back to say I was disappointed after 2 hours late and 20 min of his time I had it work for 5 min!? The hard part to find was $60 on Amazon felt a little taken advantage of that to me is a BIG difference I paid $94 and still tipped because I actually thought it was fixed!! I understand paying a service call but when I called back the lady at desk pretty much thought I should buy a new one it was too old....I was calling for help and heat!!
Treat customers with little respect. Dawn the rude secretary gave me 3 appointments and only showed up for one. Gave me a price that was $300 to tune up/turn on 1 boiler! HA! Their competitor gave me a price that was more reasonable at $49.50 for a service call for 1 hour. Please make sure you get several quotes. These guys didnt take my job because it was too little for them. They were busy installing new boilers and treat some customers with preferential treatment. When i asked when they were coming the owner ignored/didnt answer me, then i called the main office, the secretary gave me a nonchalant who cares kind of attitude and was joking around. I got serious and asked if they would hold my appointment, she had to call the owner then call me back. When she called me back she said they were busy for 2 more weeks and couldnt get to me. This was the second time they did this same thing. its been 6 weeks and i do not have heat waiting on these clowns. I called another company and was a 1/6th of the price and could stop out within 24 hours. Oh and let me add that the owner Jim threatened me that it would be bad for me if i posted anything negative online about him or his company. Calling me a threat to him or his company. Sounds like the mafia? or the mob? I dont take kindly to being threatened by a boiler contractor with poor customer service skills that skipped 3 appointments with out giving a reason or confirming or trying to set up another appointment.

A few weeks ago I woke up to no heat in the house. First thing I did was call O donnell heating and cooling. Jim was out to the house a few hours later. It was a Saturday too. I kind of knew the 20 year old furnace that i had was done. You could smell that plastic had melted on the inside.Jim confirmed that it was done beyond repair. I was given a estimate on a new furnace and it was installed on Monday.The crew from O Donnells was here a few hours and the heat was back on. Jim and his crew did a great job at a great price they even removed the old furnace from the basement and took it away.I would recommend O Donnell heating and cooling to anyone in need of heating or cooling. Overall i had a very pleasant experience

I just had ODonnell put in an ac unit in July, and couldnt be happier. They were very professional, courteous, and did an excellent job. After they were done, they cleaned up after themselves and explained to me everything they did, and what I needed to know for care of the unit. I would recommend them.
Got my furnace done march 2014. We called and they were over very quickly to replace the furnace for $2,600. Last week we turned the AC (hot and humid weather), the basement (finished) floor was soaking wet. We consulted a friend and he said that the furnace installer never hooked up the condensation hose. We called ODonnell and told them the problem. The woman we spoke with said she would call back...no call.We called again...spoke with Tim ODonnell himself ( you call ODonnell, you get ODonnell ). He said someone would be over Friday....No one came over, after waiting all day...what a waste.We called again yesterday (Monday), they said someone would come over before 1pm....guess....no one came over.The carpet is ruined......I will be calling my lawyer today. They should be responsible for the carpet and whatever damages from the pathetic install and customer service.They were so fast in collecting the money but the follow up service is so sad, I guess thats what how you become BIG.STAY AWAY....

Quality company. Ive been using them for about 5 years now... started when I NEEDED A/C during one of our nasty July heat waves. Installed my A/C within a few days. I was not expecting that. Didnt jack the price on me either. A few winters ago my furnace went down in the middle of the night (it was 15 years old). Having two tiny kids in the home, I got nervous wed be without heat for a day or two, but they showed up that morning and managed to get my old furnace going again. I took their recommendation to upgrade to a high efficiency model a few weeks later. Im happy with the Lennox product. Its impressive how much power the new furnace has. The house heats up fast and the thing sips natural gas.If you need a quality HVAC company to do great work at a fair price... call these guys. They do it right.

Im not sure whether it was the owner or a worker who came to service my boiler. Whoever it was, it was the worst service and lack of professionalism Ive ever encountered with an individual involve in any type of home related service. My 2 year old boiler wasnt working properly on a 5 degree night. Because it was that cold, I needed someone to look at it immediately. So, I called the company which installed the boiler to come take come take a look at it, however, they were unable to because of the workload during day. After making a few other calls, ODonnnell heating agreed to come take a look at problem. After spending no more than 5 minutes accessing the situation, it was clear to him that the gas valve was the issue. I asked him how much it would cost, he said $450. I also asked him if parts like this are usually under warranty. He said it was unlikely; however, if wish to I could call the company which installed it and find out. So I did. I was lucky that I did. I was told the part was under warranty and they would be able to replace it. However, it would have to be the following morning. So I politely told ODonnell heating that would wait until the morning for the other company to install the part. He angrily pickup his tools and stormed out. Only stopping to give me a receipt AND Collect the 86 dollars he charged for the service call. I went back downstairs to find that the gas valve connection and wires were still apart. Scared of the potential of something happening I called him to return and put everything back the way he found it. He said he was not going to. The only way was able to get him back to was to let him know that I would call the police and press charges on him if he didnt. Finally, he reluctantly agreed to come back and put everything together. I went out and got a space heater for the night. They next morning the other heating company came and access the problem. They said there was nothing wrong with the gas valve. The problem turned out to be a loose wire. There are many individuals like these who seem to prey on homeowners in their most desperate time of need.
They provided a temporary fix to allow us to have AC until they could come out and replace the unit. The technician was friendly, and came out the next day to replace the thermostat that was faulty at time of installation. Good customer service in my book.
We had furnace air conditioning and hot water tank replaced within two days of calling Odonnell. The techs were very efficient and pleasant. We are well satisfied with the job they did. We will be sticking with Odonnell from now on.
I would not recommend this company. My Lennox furnace failed on Friday, that night i called ODonnell he advise he would be out the next day and showed up about 1pm. He looked at my furnace and said i would need a flame ignite module and i looked like a technical guy and would be easy for me to install and for me to meet him after his next appointment at his Eggert rd location. i met him sold me the module for $200 and $75 for originally coming out. i went installed the module and it didnt work, so i called him and he advise i burnt the unit and he would see me on Monday and hung up. I texted him i was not paying for any of his services since i didnt receive any service. He immediately called me and incited and argument that i was a YouTube guy and to return the module and he wouldnt charge me for it. So my pregnant wife, 3 year old daughter and myself when to stay with my parents til Monday.On Monday i called Jameson Heating, they came out and diagnosed the furnace BLEW A FUSE and there was a EXTRA ONE taped to side. This all could have been rectified if ODonnell heating knew what they were doing. Stay away, your better off!
ODonnell Heating & Cooling is always very responsive. They recently installed a new HVAC system. The workers did an excellent job. I highly recommend them for all your heating and cooling issues.
ODonnells installed a Lennox EL296V furnace in our house. The previous furnace was loud, inefficient, and never maintained the proper humidity in the winter. The new furnace is extremely quiet and paired with the Lennox humidifier and thermostat maintains precise control of the interior humidity and temperature. The difference in the comfort level was immediate. Installation was professional. Jim directed us to the best product for our home without overspending.
My experience with ODonnells, the owner specifically, was terrible. He came the last 3 years himself for service.We had a service agreement for spring and fall. On his last visit he changed the filter ( 5 min. ) and I asked him to check the thermostat as no temperature was registering. He jiggled the switch and said, its work-Ing !! The following week it was not working again. He came back and changed 2 batteries and charged us $ 50.00.Our service agreement was up and I called a different company.The new furnace company came this spring and called me to look at our furnace. The part that held an accordion type filter was removed and in its place he stuck in A boxy filter that no more fit than if he had put a tricycle tire on a car !!!!!My review is BUYER BEWARE !!!!!
From the estimate to installation the company was very professional. Workers polite and efficient. Explained as they went along. Cleaned up after installation. Workers removed shoes and covered carpet. Highly recommend this company and will be calling them next time I need work done.
During an August 2018 heatwave our AC coil sprang a leak and froze up. I contacted 3 companies and ODonnel not only responded promptly to the inquiry but they also gave us fast and excellent service to replace the coil. The technicians were right on time, polite and did a professional job.

2022-02-03O’Donnell Heating just completed a new furnace installation at our house. The experienced crew of Tim and Nick was professional, friendly and courteous. Completed the work in a timely manner and explained the operation of the furnace. Cleaned the area up perfectly. While here, Tim also scoped out the AC installation work that will be done in a few months.To top things off, Nick even shoveled our entire driveway while Tim was finishing up! 2022-03-01Jim and the entire staff at ODonnell are always very courteous and a pleasure to do business with. Ive used them for both a furnace and AC replacement. I have had only good experiences with this company and the people in it. i also appreciate the trust factor. they could have sold me parts and labor time and again but instead provided me with real viable options. highly recommend them for any hvac needs.

2022-07-25O’Donnell Heating installed our boiler last fall. Jim made an excellent recommendation for the new boiler at a competitive price. The installation was done on time and professionally.We asked Nick and Tim to try to organize the maze of copper pipes into and out of the existing boiler, and they succeeded in improving the configuration well beyond our expectations.The boiler performed very well during the past winter.We highly recommend ODonnell Heating & Air Conditioning!

2022-08-20Ive been using ODonnell for about 20 years. This is the second furnace theyve installed for me and I added central air this time! Very happy with ODonnells product, work and price point. I was quoted much higher by others. They did a great job of the install and answered all my questions. Very happy with them.

2022-06-29The personnel at ODonnell Co. were very personable and efficient. They offered an installation of a new Lennox A/C and provided options for accessories without pushing us to include them in the final installation. The price was exceptionally competitive with the purchase and installation costs of other top-level A/C units. I cannot recommend them more highly for an A/C purchase and installation.

2022-06-16We have all seen and heard the commercials when you call ODonnell, you get ODonnell and theyre not kidding. Jim came to do my estimate and was extremely pleasant and down to Earth and was honest and told me exactly what I needed and didnt try selling me anything I didnt. We replaced our furnace and A/C unit at the same time so I was preparing for sticker shock and although, it wasnt cheap, Jims estimate came in several thousand dollars below many other companies around the area. Jim was running late for my estimate and called ahead of time to let me know and said that since you are so understanding, Ill do something nice for you and he threw in a wi-fi thermostat for my trouble. Another convenient thing was the 18 month interest free financing option. We were able to put some money down and finance the remainder which took the sting out. The receptionist Dawn was very helpful in setting up the financing and scheduling the appointment for installation. On the day the work was to be done, the two guys arrived on time and even started working on my outdoor unit before I came home from taking my son to school. They were, prompt, polite, professional and they installed everything (new furnace, new central A/C, new thermostat and humidifier in about three and a half hours. We have our central air back just in time for the 90 degree temperatures and humidity this week. I cant express how nice it is to have air again and Id like to thank Jim and his team for taking good care of us. I would highly recommend ODonnell, its nice to deal with knowledgeable, honest people for a change.

2021-12-24We moved into a new property, and it turned out that the furnace and hot water tank chimney was badly occluded. Jim ODonnell came over the day after I called. He recommended replacing them with much more efficient direct vent appliances. They were replaced within the week, and he alerted me to the National Fuel rebate program, and he provided me with all the paper work to get it. I have since recommended ODonnell Heating and Air Conditioning to several of my friends.

2022-02-05The owner responded himself on the same day I called with a broken furnace which was of course the coldest day of the year. He came over within 2 hours and fixed it temporarily till my new furnace came in. The technicians that installed the new furnace and hot water tank were very polite, professional and answered all my questions. They even fixed my humidifier for no extra charge. Totally recommend this firm!!
