READ THIS REVIEW: I have been in the import business for many years, and I will tell you that my experience with JOSE PERALTA and KENNY XU at OEC Group New York was the worst experience have ever had with air freight. JOSE PERALTA had been looking to earn our business for air and sea freight shipments so over a year and I always told him that we are willing to give any company that works hard a shot. On 12/13/21 we sent a signed proposal to OEC for an air shipment. After the shipment had already departed, JOSE PERALTA called to tell me that there was an internal error and that he calculated the cost of the airfreight based on gross weight and not volumetric, therefore the chargeable weight would double the cost to almost $7,000 AND that he will put our client’s shipment into storage if we do not pay prior to delivery (which was in a few days). His quote even indicated the accurate volumetric weight, but he never checked any of this before confirming the booking with the airlines. Now, to make things worse JOSE PERALTA has absolutely no sense of accountability or ethics, so his only response to this entire situation was as 13% discount and to say, I sent over my best rates for this shipment, and I cannot go any lower. This is a perfect example of a person who has no regard for the company they represent or their professional relationships. Obviously, my company is NOT going to pass these costs on to our client because that is not what I would expect if I was them and we regard our professional relationships with the utmost respect. Therefore, we were held hostage by a child (JOSE PERALTA) and his incompetent boss, KENNY XU, and forced to take a huge loss for merely trying to give a new company a shot at our business. When we ask KENNY XU what he thought was fair given OEC’s lack to even abide by their own terms and conditions which state: “OEC will provide customer with notice of any changes to rates required under this provision and Customer with have ten (10) days to accept or reject any adjusted rates hereunder”, KENNY XU’s response was “we will have to stand by our invoice”. In closing, none of my company’s would ever recommend OEC’s services AND we would absolutely not recommend anyone looking to work with OR hire either JOSE PERALTA or KENNY XU if you are looking for an employee or partner who values anyone else’s interests except their own. We will continue to post this review on other sites and networks to get the word out.

Dont try to apply. I have applied many times over the years to gain some kind of employment. But I have been rejected each and every time. Even though I have alot of experience in the field. Each time I was denied, I went back, got more experience and tried again. They still rejected me. So I began to question why. I tried calling and the person would transfer me to human resources for a response. But I received none. Instead the person on the other end slams the phone down on you and then avoids you like the plague.I cant tell you how triggering it is for someone who has anxiety or depression. Its sad. As an applicant, youd think you would be allowed even the briefest of courtesies. But thats not the case with this place. My suggestion. Youre better off. Apply somewhere else that would appreciate the simplest of questions. The stress and anger really arent worth it.

Horrible company! Very old fashion, everything is done by a million emails back and forth. Turn around times for transloads and ltl take for ever. They always try to hit you with extra charges. And most importantly they will damage your goods and have a back handed deal with insurance company not to pay the claims

Worst experience I ever had with them. They dont care about their customers, they only care about them self. They over charge me almost 15K.
