I was in the area and looked up to see farms near me. Raw milk is hard to come by so when I saw they had it I was so excited!!! I was able to get raw milk, butter, eggs, bacon and beef and im so excited to try it all! The milk taste absolutely amazing :) i will definitely be back when im in the area!

We did a farm tour with Becky and her kids. It was a lot of fun and my daughter was able to milk a cow. A great experience I highly recommend.

First of all, I rarely give 5 stars to anyone, they were earned not given. This will be my familys second year being CSA members,I have a lot of amazing people who have helped my family and I through a nightmare, I have told thousands of them about the farm and some questions have upset me, so want to make sure that I am clear.I am almost afraid to share with too many about how amazing it is out of fear that if too many try to join there wont be enough room for everyone to get in this year. Most CSAs hand you a weekly generic box; it doesnt matter if you dont eat whatever the box contains.I dont know if that works for you, but personally I dont think that would provide my family with much of what we need or want.Old Ford is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. Ok, I have been asked many times that since the cost is based on number of people in your household (children are almost nothing), why not say you live alone to save. I have answered that many times so I am officially answering, besides making you dishonest,Its not a good idea for anyone with that mindset to join, you are allowed to take whatever your family will eat that week. You dont pay extra if youre having dinner guests.Honestly, when you break down the weekly cost, I dont know how they are making any profit. They are a small family farm and I dont get all warm and fuzzy when I am asked how to make sure that they cant afford to keep doing it due to people who would do that. They are real people not a nameless cooperation, Becky and Joe, they are good people who run the farm because that is their passion, if you dont believe me take a trip out there. Even though Becky is sought after to guest speak for profit; she shares her knowledge freely with anyone who asks.I cant calculate how much I saved by trying to eat in season, but more importantly I cant quantify the positive impact on the health benefits of eating food just picked and the knowledge gained. The rules are based on a mutual trust, you trust them to provide the best produce available and they trust you not to take advantage. You can buy some items in bulk at a huge discount, no need to take more for the week, the pricing is based on the number of people a week, but you will save enough to pay for anything bulk. They take pride in their vegetables, the animals are well cared for. There is a fly sucker the cows walk through, just to make them more comfortable, every cow has a name. Dont worry, the flies arent wasted, they are fed to the chickens.I understand that when you read about the benefits of raw milk, its a bit scary at first despite the health benefits. I was nervous at first, I checked out a couple of farms, watched milking procedures, finally I bought but didnt give to my family unil I personally tried it, just to be sure.I cant say that theres no chance of getting sick, statistically you are more likely to get poisoned by pre-washed salad, but any time you eat you are taking a risk. It doesnt matter if you eat at a restaurant or but prepackaged, theres always a risk, but I personally feel that in this case the benefits of raw milk outweighs those risks many times over.I only buy raw from Old Ford. They stock meat, milk, honey, so much more than you may expect.I am not saying anyone should buy raw milk or any food without looking at the source of where it comes from.I have complete trust in everything sold at Old Ford Farm, I have entrusted the health of my family to their food, including my husband, who has a rare brain cancer.I know theres many places that you can choose to shop from, but anyone who follows me knows that if I put that amount of trust into the nutrients and safety of the food you cant find better.I hope to see some of those who have asked me questions over the summer shopping there, I will be there every Wednesday.I would give more stars but the limit is 5.
