I own a fleet of vehicles and have been coming to On TarGet Auto for all my mechanical and auto repairs needs for over a decade. The personalized service is second no none. Finding a good and reliable auto repair shop its like finding a good family doctor. The word honesty its understated when dealing with the staff of this shop. Everyone from the owner/mechanic Anthony, the Manager Johnny, the mechanics Hector, Keith, and Paul are exceptionally knowledgeable and qualified. The front staff Noreen Johnny are very helpful, friendly and patient. They always try their best to troubleshoot and diagnose the problem in a timely manner. Never pressuring the customer, but always advising on the most direct and economic solution. I highly recommend On TarGet Auto for all of your auto repair and auto body work needs.
Had a flat, they got me in right away, in and out 10min. Tipped my mechanic AND best of all they wouldn’t let me pay. They did it for FREE. Much better service than the other shops in the area. Found my new go-to guy!
The only place my wife and I will leave our cars to get repairs, safety inspections, and all other matters.
On Target is one of the best auto mechanics around, they have helped me and my family over the years with good pricing and good customer service. I have suggested many people to go here for there cars. They explain what theyre going to do to your car and why it has to be done to help you understand the work. The owner is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and well go out of his way for you.
I discovered On Target in 2013 when I was working as a dog walker in the neighborhood, and I am so glad I did! These guys are always honest and fair, they do good work and they stand behind their work. Great customer service, reasonable prices for work well done, what more can you ask for in an auto mechanic? I live in Nassau County and I am happy to drive to Queens to have my car serviced at On Target. Call first, they are often busy, with good reason.
Hidden little spot, in a residential neighborhood. WORTH the visit. Honest, reliable, experienced, and very knowledgeable mechanics. They love what they do, they take pride in their work.Please note the word honest!Prices are better than fair. You get much more than you pay for. I never thought I would say that about an auto shop.
I had an IId, more commonly known as ignition interlock device, installed in my car. The time came for me to remove it. I didnt want to go to the body shop where it was installed. That is a whole other review. I called On Target and was encouraged to come in as early as I could. When I arrived I was greeted in a friendly manner. The staff were very professional, courteous and worked my my car right away. I was thrilled by the service and Ill use them again. Excellent body shop!
Ive been burned by a lot of shops...a lot of shops except here. They are the absolute best, honest, and reasonable. If I could give them 10 stars I would! I would travel from anywhere in the 5 boroughs to bring my cars to them!
Anthony the owner is honest, trustworthy and knowledgeable, combination that is not often found in a mechanic. On Target’s prices are reasonable and the shop is conveniently located under the Long Island Railroad at the Auburndale, so if you live in Manhattan, Queens or Long Island and you work in Manhattan it’s super easy to drop the car in the morning and pick it up at night after work. I think the station is only 15 min from Manhattan. I can’t recommend this shop enough, I’ve had tons of work done here everything from a front windshield replaced, brake jobs, to a full scale/front end collision repair done. Anthony also does an amazing job prepping a car for a lease turn in. He’s saved me hundreds of dollars over the years by prepping the car, with touch ups and detailing that have made my lease return unbelievably easy.Having an honest mechanic is a big relief.
Amazing place. Prices are good and sometimes even better than most chain shops. The staff is honest and up-front about everything.The thing I like the most is they have NEVER tried to sell me stuff I dont need and are never pushy about anything. I recommend them to everyone I know.

If i give these guys any less than perfect grades in any category it would be a travesty....American craftsmanship and professionalism at its finest.....After 2 mechanics and almost $1500 on repairs i did not need, and everyone else basically admitting failure at diagnosing it properly.....Anthony ...Steve and the guys at On Target figured out the problem in 15mins ...a bad alternator which was causing crazy fluctuations in air flow meter ....I would always get my repairs done from them from now on....i just walked into my apt and despite being a procrastinator of epic proportions, the very first thing i knew i ought to do was to write them a good review....you wont be disappointed.
This place is legite. No haggling on over priced and unecessary work. They will tell you what you need done, cut and dry and prices sre comparable. Johnny and Anthony are the best.

2022-06-06John and Anthony helped me out and they did a great job! I had some issues with my AC compressor and condenser and they were more than honest, knowledgeable, and fair. They helped me out by working with me to find the least expensive and most valuable and practical solution to my problem, since I have an older car for work which I didn’t want to spend too much money on. I ended up saving a good amount of money thanks to them. I’m always a bit hesitant when it comes to people messing with my car, but these guys are very trustworthy and honest. It’s good to see that a mechanic shop like this still exists today!

2022-04-30Be careful when given quotes. This guy does not even distinguish between prices for two tires and its unit price. This shop charges extornate prices for decent tires. Get ready for being ripped off.

2021-11-26From when I entered and was greeted by the reception person I knew things were gonna be great. Diagnosed problem right away, called with price, big job but done in a few hours. Was a last minute thing but they were so willing to help. Job was done right first time. Owner Anthony was a pleasure to deal with. Car delivered back clean. 2021-06-25We had a brake problem so it was our first time with On Target. It was perfectly done. All crews were nice, helpful and explained everything in words we could understand. Price is super reasonable. 100% satisfied, highly recommend.

2021-07-08I called to make an appointment for brakes and an oil change, they were able to get me in right away the next morning! Everyone I spoke to was very pleasant and respectful. They finished the job very quickly and didnt try to sell me other things I didnt need. As a single girl in her twenties, I was very happy to find a place that I could trust and I will continue using them for all my future car needs.

2021-06-02Came in for a diagnostic on my car. Turned out my transmission is shot. Being a 15 year old American car, Im not surprised. They were the only ones who told me not to waste my money on a transmission tune-up because my spark plugs were still good. I had forgotten that I just recently had a transmission tune-up. Im old....I forgot. I highly commend them for their honesty and professional way to work.They are now my go to place for Car repairs.
