Horrible customer service, home with covid so we ordered delivery. I called an hour later wondering the status & was rudely told it was for pick up. When I asked why no one reached out in the hour plus my order sat there I got another rude response with no remedy & told to reorder. Its unfortunate we ordered from here all the time but not after that encounter. Luckily theres Nikos close by, do yourself a favor & give them your business!
Outstanding !!!!! Started with soup, eggplant salad and the meal itself incredible. My wife got a salmon burger. Not sure why they call it that. It’s a full 6oz portion of salmon wrapped up in pita with all the toppings. I got different meats on sticks.100% recommend. Must visit again.
Wow! What an amazing find, a little taste of Greece nestled in the heart of Bronxville. I have passed by this place many a time and always wanted to try it out, but circumstances precluded it. Things aligned themselves this past Sunday when I suggested to my wife that we try Opa Opa after Mass, and she acquiesed.I am so glad she did! We had soups to start which were amazing (the lentil soup was especially good!) And we had one of their platters, my wife, the pork Souvlaki, and myself the combination platter.I am not a Greek expert, but I know good food, and by far this was some of the freshed and best Greek food I have ever had! The portions were very generous, everything was beautiful seasoned, and the waitstaff was amazing! The decor was lively and clean with the blue and white of Greece represented in the different wall doodles of fish of different sizes. Everything about this place said Greek, and I cant wait to go back! Highly recommened!
Menu has reduced choices, but you will be sure to find a new favorite, if there was something specific you are used to seeing. We enjoyed grilled octopus and some traditional lemon potatoes. Dont be afraid to experiment, there is no wrong menu choice. Overly friendly staff can get a bit overwhelming, but its not all intrusive. Gluten aware, but dont expect specific expertise. Parking can sometimes be a challenge in this area, but there are meters and a municipal lot nearby.
The food was plentyful, and Im a guy that wants quality AND quantity especially as laborer and gym goer. I ordered The chicken souvlakia which was absolutely outstanding, the fries was SEASONED and delicious, I also order their chicken on a stick, which is absolutely huge, and comes wrapped in bread which stole my heart. One thing I gotta say though, the Falafel was just not good at all, it was like it wasnt cooked through enough, and just had a weird taste to it, I couldnt really taste that falafel flavor. In all, this place is just outstanding and Ill definitely be coming back to dine in this time, I felt really taken care of, which is something many food places are lacking today
UPDATE: Gave it another try. Called in a pick up order for a gyro. I thought I would receive lamb, but they gave me chicken without asking me. The chicken was tough and seemed to be cooked hours in advance. It was not a good gyro. Very disappointing. Lange’s has better hot sandwiches.FIRST REVIEW: Why are the lights so bright? Not a good atmosphere for table service. Gyros are not that good, especially flavorless tough chicken. Elia Taverna much better. Take out girls prioritize phone orders over people standing right in front of them. Not impressed.
Our food was fresh and delish. We used Uber eats and there was an issue with how the address comes up on a gps. When I called the restaurant, the woman who answered was so attentive and helpful. She even called me back to confirm that we fixed the issue with Uber. We already ordered a second time and they will regularly get our business!
I usually dont eat outside as Im a bit of a picky eater and am often left unimpressed when I do eat out; however, I have ordered from this restaurant on multiple occasions in the past and can definitely say that this is one of my favorite places in Bronxville. Great food, huge portion sizes, reasonably priced, and friendly staff. I recommend the fried shrimp with a side of the fries topped with feta and oregano. Ask for extra lemon slices with your seafood and fries!
Great for lunch. Nice decor. Gyro and lemon potatoes were very good. Maybe a bit more tomatoes and onions on Gyro and less lettuce would have been better. I would like to try something on a stick next time. Staff was extremely efficient and friendly. Welcome addition to Bronxville restaurants.
This place is astounding! You have to try any of the fish they have. Done to perfection. I havent been slightly disappointed yet.The pita is fresh and their falafel is on point!Worth it. Totally worth it.Great place for families and for individuals to grab some great food. They are also a quick and easy option for lunch.I like Greek food and they do it right.-----Thanks for the great service and the awesome food :)
4 stars because I had to ask for lemons and she just bringing 1 each time and I kept asking for a lot! Also asked for extra sauce for gyro, she brought sauce on side and nothing on gyro! Took one to go also said put sauce on gyro and give me extra and I got home no sauce on gyro...whats up with that??? Also sauce is very thick, they should thin it out a bit it makes the gyro so much better!!
Hey, stopped by multiple times thought I should put in my input. Great food, I’d say probably one of the best places to eat in Bronxville. The wait isn’t bad unless you go during rush periods, which is literally the same for all restaurants. My personal opinion is it’s best to order take out, with the male cashier with glasses because if u have any questions the others can’t really help you as much as him as the other cashiers will probably redirect the question to him, and he seems to be the most experienced one and most helpful, not to knock the other girl as she does come across as slightly more friendly. Just read through the comments wanted to add that this is not a fast food place, I made the mistake my first time coming in but was explained that this is fresh food and is a normal restaurant.
Lovely experience from the moment I walked in through the door. The hostess was sweet and reccomeneded a few things off the menu for us to try while we waited for the rest of our friends to show up. After she sat us down the food was great we had the Greek salad and gyros. The hostess checked up on us again and asked if we enjoyed the meal. We spent about an hour here and would definitely go back because of the food and the friendliness of the sfaff.
I’ve walked out of three restaurants in my life. Applebee’s and Friendly’s. This was the third. I can’t say the food was bad because I never got to try it. Walked in and was seated right away. It was crowded but there were open tables. We had 4 people and were given 3 waters. No one ever asked us what we wanted to drink. We placed our orders. The tables started to fill up, a huge party of 10 came in. From then on we were ignored. Others got their meals even though we were there longer. Someone walked up to us and finally asked us if we ordered. We replied yes and told them we ordered 30 minutes ago. 15 more minutes passed. The waitress finally came up to us to tell us the order was running behind and the kitchen was slow tonight. Another 10 minutes passed. We stood up, no one noticed or cared. We all walked out of there, they didn’t even try to stop us. I would have tried to tell them to cancel the order but no one was paying attention. Will never ever go back again. Wasted nearly an hour and didn’t even get enough water for the table or any food at all. Worst! 0 stars!!!
Been here 3 times. After coming here on a Friday I came Saturday and Sunday because I couldnt get enough. Even got take out to bring home to my wife. The food is amazing and the staff is on point. I live on long island, if I lived closer Id come here all the time. Dont hesitate, just do it, go Greek!
Above and beyond, superior customer service. I made an order through seamless/grubhub that was delivered to the wrong adress. The owner/manager worked with me to make it right even though it wasnt his fault. I consider this to be customer service that is above and beyond. Extremely helpful, polite, and obviously cares about the customer. Ill order from them again. Thank you!!!!
My daughter and I both love Greek food. We ordered falafels, baba ganoush, salad, and tahini. The baba ganoush was good. The falafels were awful. I LOVE falafels and these were dry, mealy, and had an odd flavor. The tahini that came on the side was not a tahini sauce as one would expect, but tahini straight out of a jar of tahini.
We are obsessed with Greek food, unfortunately so far OpaOpa still has kinks to work out. Take-out takes forever and not always correct items. If they can work out the kinks, I will happily update with higher rating. We will continue to give it a try for another month or so.Bonus if restaurant can get on to seamless for delivery!!
We want almost two month ago. A major disappointment. We know Greek food and have been to Greece several times. The day we were unlucky to try out OpaOpa was a disaster. There was no fish except Snapper. No other fish, except fried calamary (we do not eat fry food) and that is not very Greek either. We ordered fried Zuchini and there were full of dough and almost inedible. Then we decided to order Mussaka, It was reheated and bland, no beshamel. Fried potatos were soggy and dark. We requested Lukomades to finish. They did not have any.So we are waiting to see if they can really become a credible eating establishment in Bronxville.

2022-04-26Im more of a takeout person for this place. I been coming here for 2 years now anytime I have a craving for Greek food. Anytime I call, I arrive and the food is ready and fast for pickup. The girls in the front desk are always pleasant. Facility looks spacious and very clean. Food is authentic and tastes good. They give you a good portion of food to make you full. I also went there once for indoor dining and the waitress came up to me 2x to check up on me. Good service.

2021-08-14Great food, huge portions and very clean with both indoor and outdoor seating. They have a large collection of Greek and Mediterranean options and priced quite decently.I had the chicken souvlaki platter and it was quite delicious and came with 2 skewers of chicken, pita, lemon potatoes and a small Greek salad. The galaktoboureko wasnt that great though.Would definitely visit again.

2022-05-28I had lamb chops and wife had branzzino. Wait staff was very attentive. Food was good, but not over the top. It was pleasant with plenty of room between tables.

2022-04-10By far the greatest falafels & red pepper hummus Ive ever had in NY. I kept searching & trying falafels all around but every place I tried either had good falafels & not so good hummus or vice versa. But in this spot, both the falafels/hummus were made to perfection. That day I found out about Opa Opa, I had just came from the city where I had falafels/hummus and it wasnt so great. I was on my way back home on the Metro North & I missed my Yonkers exit. Two stops later I ended up at Bronxville, so I searched on google a falafel place & Opa Opa came up so I decided why not lets give it a try. Jesus, was that the right choice. When I stepped foot inside, I was greeted by an awesome man by the name Erblini. The rest is history. If your a falafel/hummus lover, this place is a must gooo!!! Theres a reason I missed my stop & ended up there, fate as you may have it.PS - Tell them Dardani inspired me to come give it a try.
