I signed up with them 9 months ago. I should be a tech for them. I have a blue screen more than i have a TV show on. The service always goes out. I asked to get rid of fiber optic and get the old black cable instead because the service always goes out then starts buffering. Pure garbage and expensive. I’ve never paid for so much torture in my life. Do not get this service they say fiber optic run away as fast as you can.

I wanted to update a review I left on the Lindenhurst Optimum but I couldn’t leave a second review. My reviews are regard Optimum overall as a service provider. Again, if I could leave a negative review I would. After I had issues receiving promotions I was promised I had to jump through a number of hoops just to be told Optimum would honor the promotions I was promised. After many emails and calls spanning 2 hours, I finally received the free wifi promotion I was promised. While discussing this initial issue with optimum I checked to see what gift card value I was supposed to receive since the initial promotion I received was for a $200 gift card. After some back and forth (I was told I was only supposed to received a $100 gift card ) I had to provide proof of the promotions I was receiving. After showing screenshots to the people who respond to these reviews (brandreviews@altice) I was promised the gift card I was going to receive would be $200. Well I received the gift card today and of course it was for $100. I’ve contacted optimum and still have not heard back. If you are like me and have chosen Optimum over Verizon because of the cost, I would recommend paying the extra for Verizon. Or if you do decide to choose Optimum, document the promotions you are supposed to receive. If it weren’t for an email I received which listed the promotions I was getting at the top I wouldn’t have gotten these promotions. Everybody I spoke with acted as if I was crazy for thinking I would get these promotions. And it is also a convenient policy for Optimum Customer Service to not have the ability to receive outside emails. It takes a lot for me to leave such a negative review but optimum has pushed me way passed the breaking point. Truly, as a Company, it is embarrassing how inept they are. Hopefully, it takes much less deliberation this time to rectify this situation. I guess you get what you pay for.

I’ve been trying for over 1/2 hr, calling all phone numbers forOptium and Altice because I need to speak with someone in management. Can’t get a human no matter what I tried. Their phone service is horrible. Basically, no phone service. I got some cable technical help but that took over a 1/2 hr. It’s beyond me how such a big company that charges astronomical prices for their service can’t have a phone number to an associate who has a brain and a functioning heart. Real, alive people are needed. Enough with the auto voice that doesn’t seem to function well. I entered my phone number when asked and the voice said “ I’m sorry I didn’t get that, or I don’t understand”. How can it not understand a touch tone phone? I’m really at a point where I’m ready to dump Optimum and I’ve been a customer since they started. Technology is wonderful but it’s terrible to this extent where it’s impossible to speak with a human if you need one. 😠😠🤯

Optimum is the worst service out there and the most unprofessional and scamming company. They increased my bills without advising me or educating me or giving me options to choose. They sent me a $400 bill. Please do not use the company . They will bill you small feee you have no idea about. They are scammers. Customer service is poor.
