The worst customer service ever. Dont bother trying to get a live person on the phone, its not possible. Also after not being able to speak with anyone I drove 15 miles to their Greenwood Lake office. I had to wait outside in the rain, then when it was my turn, the representative told me to come back in an hour after his lunch break! The worst!!!!
Absolutely horrible service, horrible customer service as well, the people that answer the phone aren’t even in America. I lose internet service at least 6 times a day, constant lagging and have to reset my router several times a day. I even pay 80$ a month for 400 mbps service and it’s terrible. I called about asking for a discount or refund and I get the same people saying no outages have been reported even though I went without internet for more the 24 hours yesterday. I want a discounted price period and they say there’s nothing they can do. I guess it’s time to switch to satellite service. Nothing but horrible all around
12/28/2020 Unable to contact the store by phone for information. Arrived at store at 1pm to find out the store was closed from 12:30 to 1:30 for lunch. There were people waiting on line for the store to reopen. Upon opening, we find out only one person admitted into the store at a time and only one person working in the store. It was cold and totally frustrating but the savior was the lady behind the counter who was quick, friendly and professional. Kudos to her for a job well done
I have made 2 trips to this store to get new router. Despite the website saying it was open it has been closed each time (midday weekday). The first time an optimum serviceman was outside and said the store person was sick. THE COMPANY SHOULD SEND SOMEONE ELSE TO THE STORE OR AT LEAST PUT A NOTICE ON THEIR WEBSITE. RIDICULOUS SERVICE FOR THE MONEY THEY CHARGE. Id switch in a heartbeat if there was a choice.
My service has been going in and out intermittently for the past few weeks. And I don’t mean like services is down for a few hours till they fix something I mean every few seconds it goes out and then comes back. Makes doing anything almost impossible.... been trying to call them to fix it but with no luck. Finally today I was able to get on a call back list. When they finally called me back I hear the person on the other line pick up, put the phone down and start what sounded like arguing with someone. I waited while listening to that for almost 5 minutes thinking that eventually they would stop arguing or whatever they were doing and try to help me but no luck. I eventually hung up. Their service is all together useless at this point...
I’ll be honest. Sometimes when dealing with large corporations involving my household and bills, things can go awry. I decided to take a trip to the Optimum retail store in my town, Greenwood Lake, to discuss my bill (I couldn’t get a hold of customer service by phone). Upon my entering, the store was very clean, neat, bright and inviting. Always a plus for me. I was greeted by a young man named Anthony. He was extremely helpful, patient, knowledgable and thorough when explaining what I needed to know about my bill. To see a young man with such poise who takes pride in his job is very refreshing. Ive worked in customer service/retail for the past 10 years so I do notice good and bad customer service. I will definitely be returning for any questions or issues I may have. We have not had internet service for 4 days but their computer showed no issues. The fact thT most people are working from home foes not seem to phase them. Poor customer service. Stated technician would come between 11 and 2. Of course he did not show up. Now stating that issue is outside the house and would take another 48 hours. We must petition government and congress to allow competition. Prices soaring with no customer service
Optimum has GOT to be the worst service provider. I discontinued my service because I moved and I went to the closest optimum place to return my equipment and I couldnt even do that. THE PLACE WAS CLOSED!!!!! AND I CANT EVEN GET CUSTOMER SERVICE ON THE PHONE TO HELP ME!!!!!!
Though this facility currently is under-staffed, the Optimum representatives who work there are fantastic! They not only know their stuff but they are courteous, professional, and easy-going. They work well with each other and do their best to address each customers unique needs and questions.
The telephone reply system is worth to be thrown out. No where did I have a service as bad as optimums and that from a phone company.All I wanted was to add the NHL service to my account for the season.It took an eternity to finally get somebody human on the phone which I then could not understand. The connection was so bad.She could not even quote me the price.I got so frustrated i finally hung up.That was the worst service I ever experienced!!!!!!!!!!!
Do not go to this store unless you want to be treated like trash. I was forced to be separated from my gf and told i couldn’t be in the store even though 4 people were let in after me. I also was treated unfairly and had to prove myself with identification although no other customer entering had to do so. I was lied to multiple times as well and yelled at. This place is only in business because they are the only ones offering service in this area which should be illegal. They dont honor any of the prices which are available online. Tread cautiously upon entering this establishment and expect to be disappointed. The perpetrator was a male with short hair over 150 pounds with glasses
I wish I could give Optimum negative stars. They have a monopoly on the cable service and internet in this area and blatantly flaunt it with their prices and lack of service. After driving 38 miles round trip as instructed by telephone customer service to exchange faulty boxes. I was informed the person at this brick and mortar site that company policy is not to exchange Altice one products in person. Someone should tell corporate and the phone technicians their policy. The only way to exchange these products is with a service technician visit. The soonest they got? 2 weeks away.All this after waiting for 2 employees to set-up various cellphones for unsuspecting folks that have signed on to Altice one Cellphone service. Have they got some suprises coming when they try to get help. So now not only do you have to wait in line with everyone that has cable problems, that line will also be multiplied with the poor souls that signed on to their cell phone service.Good luck with that...
This is the worse company, they don’t care about their customer, they keep charging for extra service not received, won’t reimbursed, customer service agent fighting with customer back and forth. I’m cancelling this horrible company. I will not recommended to anyone... Ive called over and over again, was told a supervisor will contact me, escalated the issue, never was contacted by no one nor my issue was escalated..They are the worse of the worse.
I will be honest the staff here is great, very helpful and will to go the extra mile. I noticed this with other customers also. They had the same respect and really want to help you with your problems. Now the reason for the one star Altice/ Altice mobile, has to be the worst company I have ever had to deal with. If you call to have any problems solved they actually end up blaming you and hang up the phone knowing if there was any other option for cable service. You would cut the cord yourself!! Also Altice mobile.... service is by far the most uninspiring cell service I have ever dealt with. You really get what you pay for here. If your on a budget they can work for you. But dont be late, 3 times no matter how long you have the service they will raise your bill an extra $10 a month. Oh and if you want to speak to someone about a problem tuff!!! Theres no CUSTOMER SERVICE number only chats that usually resolves nothing.
The Optimum store has one representative working. I was the second person in a line of fifteen people and I l left after an hour although I was the next person in line, after waiting over an hour. The store is a joke. I was just trying to return some equipment and never did get into the store. I repeat the store is a joke.
If I could give zero stars I would. Inconsiderate and inaccurate CDC guidelines have been enforced at this location. They allow 5 customer service representatives to work there, which means 5 customers are allowed inside the building due to covid. Today, at 31 degrees, the woman working allowed one person in at a time, leaving 3 people (elderly people included) standing outside in the freezing cold. Inconsiderate and inaccurate rules were enforced, it was a horrible experience.
Terrible service. Yet another buissiness to out-source customer service overseas. When I couldnt understand the person I was speaking to and politely requested to speak to someone else, That person said NO, got offended and began to be offensive towards me. Then, I asked to speak with their supervisor. He said NO. When I asked for his name and employee #, He hung up. Lets try it Again!I called back again and got the info that I needed from another person. I asked for the phone number to the Greenwood Lake Office in NY and they said NO. I then asked to be transferred and was placed on hold. I heard beeps about ever 2 mins as if they were simply just keeping me on hold and resetting the line beeping from their phone.The review above was just the experience i had while trying to cancel my cable service (which wasnt able to be accomplished so I will have to go through this again) .Ive never had problems with their cable service but when it comes to their internet, Ive had technician to my house over 5 times and in most cases its better to use my internet service from my phone then it is from Optimum. My neibor down the street has the same internet issues that I have so I know its not just my house. You know a place is a bad buissiness when you cant even get to talk with somone from the USA
When you think a trip to the cable store for broken equipment it always starts with dread. Not so at this location. The emoyee that assisted me was prompt and courteous. She quickly and politely explained what was wrong, how it happened, and how to avoid it in the future. She changed the equipment put without hesitation and had me in and out in under 20 minutes. Wonderful experience.
When you look up to see if a business is open and it says its open and you get there and theres a sign in the door out to lunch back in a half an hour and you come back 45 minutes later and theyre still not back and theres eight people waiting outside. Very bad business practice
I connect my service in November 2018, they work good for the money youre paying because is expensive but I trapped in the contract with another company so I decided to move with optimum the problem is that they offer to pay you back the money youre paying for early cancelation fee with your old TV company theyre saying they can pay until $500.00, I have to pay $220.00, maybe wasnt too much but they lied about it after 7 months I still waiting for the answer, because everything I called it they dont know anything, the usual answer is my recommendation is to send the paperwork again. So dont trust optimun about the reimbursement because is a lie.
I would rather had given them 0 stars. I returned our equipment on 5/22 when we moved out of state. Due to the billing cycle started on 5/21, I was told we may have to pay for the entire billing cycle of 5/21 to 6/21. The customer service rep at the Greenwood Lake Store gave me a phone # for a supervisor and said they could change the disconnect date to 5/20. My wife spoke to this supervisor and she said she would indeed update that info.. Month later, we get the bill for 5/21 to 6/21... called customer service, was transferred to a supervisor and was told that we are responsible for the bill, and they didnt know why the customer service rep or other supervisor would state otherwise, even though we didnt even have any equipment to use the service!
Disgusting company, they charge more then anyone else in the county for basic service and turn you off without an email warning or anything. Also turned me off when there office was closed and in 8 months of being a customer I’ve never once been able to get a human being on the phone. Pure Garbage service.
Fix the internet already! Multiple times per day the internet disconnects from 10 minutes to half an hour. Use some of that money we pay to your monopoly to fix the infrastructure. Some of us rely on internet to put food on the table and we pay a lot of money for it. If I performed at my job the way your internet performs, I wouldnt be employed for very long. And soon it might be that way because I dont have a reliable internet or any other choice to switch!
This company provides the worst service at the most expensive price. Have had me running in circles all day, wifi constantly disconnects, charge for service calls and dont fix it. Absolutely no one with any authority to correct their mistake. Reporting to Better Business Bureau
I called Optimum to get a phone number for the Greenwood Lake store to make sure they had the new cable boxes I need before I drive an hour to get there. Optimum couldnt/wouldnt give me a direct number for the store. It absolutely boggles my mind that a PHONE COMPANY doesnt have PHONES in their stores where you can talk to someone at the actual location. Why?! Why so secretive? Where is the customer support at the local level? Just another example of the decline in service ever since Altice took over.
If I could give optimum no stars it would be an improvement. There website indicates the office is open so I go to replace one of my cable boxes only to find out the place is closed. You would think a public company like that would be able to post that on there site I guess not. The money we pay them only matters not the people. I understand we are still in covid but at least set up appointments for such an easy transaction. The only stores open are 40 minutes into jersey or 50 minutes into Peekskill thats 2 hours drive time and gas. Then they want to charge me 60.00 dollars installation fee just to bring me a new box I dont need it to be installed what a ripoff. Its time to look for other means of internet and tv. They dont need my money anymore. I think its time for Verizon to come into the area I know they have been keeping Verizon out of the area but if we start talking to Verizon and start canceling our accounts with optimum they will have no choice but to come in the area
Staff is Great but the prices for cablevision are tremendous. If you try to break down your package to save money, the price seems to go up, the favorite excuse is that you have a promotional price. So you have no choice but to keep the triple play package or end up paying more money.
Give this company zero stars but I cant do that to write this reviewThis company refuses to abide by the moratorium that was set up by New York StateThe extension bans utility providers—electric, gas, telephone, water, and cable and broadband—from shutting down service to delinquent accounts. The new end date for the moratorium would be when the COVID state of emergency is lifted or expires, or December 31, 2021—whichever is later.Theres anyone else dealing with hardships call the state this company should be investigated
Extremely poor internet, I mean super slow and horrible internet connection. The sfaff is well trained and profesional. The cable and telephone services are fine, but they don’t honor a new customer package deal. $200 for the tri-pack services for a new customer makes me worry, how much it will be after my first year with them. They cancel appointments often. Unfortunately this is the only big company in Orange County, NY. Directv offers the service here but the company they use for internet is horrible.

2022-06-27Staff is still limited (single representative) allowing a single customer inside at a time. No sense of expediance. Just going thru the motions. Customers stand outside (no seating area) lined up in the parking lot moving around as cars come and go. And dont even try and call the listed number, youll end up connected to that automated service repeating Im sorry, lets try this again. Their system is broken.

2021-08-30This should really be ZERO stars. Customer service Lies to customers constantly. I purchased guaranteed 100Mb years ago. Last year I was down to 1Mb for 4 months. Ive been paying $104 per month.You can get customer service for Optimum adding a new line in under a minute, yet it takes at least 15 minutes to get customer service in you choose to cancel their services. I will NEVER use Optimum/CableVision again. Good Riddance..I just switched to Frontier 500Mb for $44/month using fiber optics. Before there was no competition. Now we have a choice.

2021-03-17I have had nothing but problems since I switched to altice mobile in January 2021. I did the switch over the phone & asked for unlimited, but was signed up for the 1 gig plan. It took a week to be able to finally upgrade to the unlimited, you’re supposed to be able to upgrade anytime. Which also isn’t really “unlimited”, it’s actually only just 20 gigs. I went through the 20 gigs before my billing month was up and was stuck 5 days with slowed speeds and there is no way to add extra data. This month, March 2021, they are now charging me a $33 upgrade fee due to me having to switch my plan in January when they did not sign me up for the unlimited in the first place. They’re customer service is terrible. They don’t do anything to work with you and don’t care if they loose customers. The aggravation and misleading product information is not worth the savings, if there really is any. I have not seen any yet. They are loosing this customer, I will be switching my service back today

2021-09-23Optimum makes you now press buttons for several minutes to talk with customer service, then you are talking with someone overseas and the conversations is constantly interrupted by silence. They did not fix my mail problem. Afterwrds I got a scam phone call about getting arrested if I dont press 1 to talk with a fereral agent (I think they are connected). Oh, and their bill just goes up & up every year.

2021-09-24Customer service is non existent or worse existent and incompetent. The Greenwood Lake/Warwick service department must be run by the village idiot. Compellingly incompetent. Save yourself the six or seven cancelled appointments and dozens of India calls and go somewhere else.

2020-09-10If I could give negative stars I would!!!I picked up 2 boxes and ordered the ability to record along with other choices. When I got home neither box was able to record or rewind. I called customer service and they mailed me 2 USB plugs called rewinders. Had to wait a week to receive them. Put them in but I was only about to rewind, still no ability to record. I then began my pursuit of trying to get this to work. Phone to the general service number and went through 4 reps before the last one gave me to a tech person. He couldnt figure it out either. I demanded to speak to someone in charge. They had to give me a ticket and a supervisor would call me. NO CALL came. I brought the boxes back to the store in Greenwood Lake, NY. They were very nice to me but couldnt help me with the problem so I discontinued all my service but I wanted my billing to reflect no charges back to the day I picked the equipment up since it NEVER worked properly.Now I got my regular bill and they charged me as if I still had the equipment and cable service. Back to calling the customer service phone. This time I had to wait 40 minutes to get the first person, then on to another person, and another. NONE of them could roll back my bill. At which point I demand to talk to a supervisor. She put in a ticket so a supervisor could call me back. Surprise NO ONE called me. Im am now going to a different service for my Internet. Optimum simply doesnt care about their customers. This whole experience was a nightmare, my waste of time calling, being on hold, being shuttled to different people over and over again and even their tech person couldnt figure out the problem!!!!Never again! Stay away from Optimum. Now Im having to fight to get that charge of $251.65 removed from my bill.
