A cozy warm and welcoming place. Some very good cocktails Beer and Cider is hit and miss. Great food truck outside that does a superb job have always enjoyed the meal.try the cocktails-he burns wood with a blow to itch and catches the smoke in the glasses then pours the bourbon in -tasted great
Really friendly bartenders, awesome drinks and liquor, and a great atmosphere. Stay downstairs and watch a band play live, or go upstairs to the loft to get cozy on a couch and play some board games. This place is a nice little gem in the scenic middle of nowhere.
Great place! Good social distancing, plenty of space outdoors. Drinks were delicious and generous. Staff nice and friendly!

Brown Barn has always been a great place to hang out. The cocktails, beer and cider delicious; the bar staff all top notch. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the food truck. Our group (5 adults) spent close to $100 on hot dogs, chicken sandwiches and fries. For that you would expect courtesy and decent food. We, along with many others today, received extremely poor service. Customers walking up to the truck, some just looking at the menu, were yelled at to go away, that no orders could be taken. We did not see any crowds or lines, but left and waited. When we were finally able to place an order, we were told to check back in 30 mins for our food. No problem. When we returned we were yelled at that no orders were being taken and to leave. We had to tell the staff person several times that we had already ordered 30 mins ago. He finally checked and our food was ready! However, when we sat down to eat all the food was COLD and some undercooked. My husband, who has a cast iron stomach, has not felt well since eating this afternoon. What a waste of money - the fries were hard and cold, the chicken greasy and cold, the hotdogs seemed like they weren’t cooked at all. We would have gone back and said something, but we really didn’t want to be yelled at for approaching the area. What a food truck ripoff.
I give the Brown Barn five stars! The brown bar has a good selection of beer on tap, canned beer and ciders and craft cocktails. The views are gorgeous and the atmosphere laid back. The food truck, however, was absolutely awful. Its a hamburger/hotdog truck. The first time we tried to order we were turned away. There wasnt a line but the cashier on the food truck said they were backed up. We came back a half hour later to order and the cashier was snippy, rude and flustered by taking an order of four sandwiches. As we ordered he yelled at the people behind us to come back in 40 minutes. We were told our hotdogs and hamburgers would take half hour to be prepared. When we finally got our food, everything was cold and greasy. The fries were undercooked and the center of the hotdog was cold. Tell Brown Barn to get a new food truck, perhaps, something with more variety and some more healthful options.
Very nice, clean and personable. I visited to celebrate a baby shower, the venue has a large list of drinks which they make themselves. Plenty of land and seating. A food truck was on site, and parking.

One of my favorite places to grab a drink with a great delicious burger & fries. I have OCD for the OCD. Take one to go too! The sunflower fields are a fun post-drink/eat adventure.
Small locally owned distillery with food truck outside, cocktails, draft beer, wine and more. Pets allowed in the garage area (indoor) on the first floor! Keep in mind that you MUST purchase food in order to purchase drinks (bottles purchases do not require this). Staff was friendly and overall great experience!
Excellent craft cocktails... on level on NYC, but in much more comfortable/relaxed environment. Love the wood stoves in the side room... cozy even in worst winter temps. Also the side room is nice if you want to enjoy ur live music but want to also talk with friends without having to shout. Food truck outside has a few decent munchies but this place is a score for the drinks and the chill vibe more than anything else!

Prepare to spend time at this unique venue!! Each cocktail is very thoughtfully handcrafted by their master mixoligist... and worth the time taken to make it perfect. The staff is accommodating and friendly... and the brown barn has a warm, welcoming ambiance during all seasons. There is also an AMAZING food truck preparing gourmet comfort food! This place is an absolute hidden gem in the black dirt district. Do. Not. Miss. Out.
Orange county distillery has some great choices of their homemade spirits. We tried some vodka, bourbon, and a scotch style whiskey. Nice bar a very comfortable loft and spectacular grounds. A great place for private partying. They offer food live music and apparently several fire pits at dark. A great family place.
I LOVE brown barn the ambience, the views, the drinks are amazing. BUT, today my husband and I went there to get food and some drinks and the guy at the food truck said he wasnt selling food for two hours, that he was catering an event. I think the situation could have been handled much better. Possibly do your catering before the hours you are open? It put a damper on the mood and we left because of it. I just dont understand why you would be catering when youre supposed to be open to ALL customers not just your catering customers. Maybe a sign next time?

Really great spot. Rustic, authentic, and they distill their liquors in-house, from growing the product on their 5th generation farm, right to the bottling. Great people too. Highly recommended!
A destination. Friendly staff. Nice location. Live music. Comfortable couches and chairs. Plenty of nice Instagram able moments. Food truck. Whiskey, Bourbon and Rye craft cocktails on par with City but locally grown and distilled. Prices fair. One suggestion for them... Buy your standard Double Old-Fashioned Glassware. The glasses they use are tiny. Feel like sample glasses (don’t fill hand well - see attached pic). I’ve never been served whiskey drinks in small glassware like that.
One of my favorite places in Orange County to spend time relaxing at or performing music. Upstairs lounge now complete and fire pits surround the barn. A great staff awaits you inside with finely crafted cocktails featuring their own spirits. A must visit place!
Brown Barn Farms has always been a fun and inviting place for our band to play. The atmosphere is great! Theres craft beer, cider and wine from local vineyards and breweries! They also have a great food truck to satisfy your cravings.
Cute place but my drink was served with old wilted mint. I did ask for a new drink and they exchanged it....

This place is in middle of nowhere but that’s OK. Very homey atmosphere and I appreciate that they include beer with the harder spirits. Love the loft in the barn. The layout needs a little work but otherwise pretty good
Love Being Outside BUT Wait Time/Food Quality/Attitude from workers and customers made it not worth the tripStrolled in and immediately we were faced by the Brown Barn s small and quaint beauty. It was very unique but pleasant to order from a little school bus and sit by a fire pit or listen to some live music.However, it took about an 1hr and 10mins to get part of our groups order. Another 20mins pass and the rest of us still didnt get our food. We were forced to ask where our food was and when we did we were faced with attitude from the worker. Right after we were given three more burgers, but still was missing food. We should of gotten all our food together or at least right after each other. About 30 mins passed (ABOUT 2HRS IN TOTAL) and our missing food still didnt show up so we got our money back and left.On top of that we were face with discrimination from some of the workers and other customers. We were given eye rolls and mumbles under their breath because of the interracial couples in our group. Its not worth to be surrounded by that kind of atmosphere plus I dont want to give any cent to people who discriminate.

I had the chicken panini ($8) - it was great. My friends raved about the burger with OCD sauce ($12)

An amazing place for drinks. They have some really nice whiskey tastings and a food trunk with some great burgers. The place have such a nice relaxing place.
A lot of drink choices. If you are into whiskey they are all good. I really liked the rye whiskey. Also there is a food truck in that lot that was good. We were able to sit around a nice fire outside.
Beautiful place, scenic views, perfect place for a summer evening hangout... but thoroughly missed some iced coffee & soft serve ice-cream on the cart menu!

Poorly organized, long wait times & over priced. Must stand in line to purchase food, then in another for drinks. The grounds are only saving grace. No competition during COVID.

We sampled all of their drinks there for about $15. The gin and their whiskey were amazing. I could drink them neat all day. Staff was extremely courteous. Beautiful location and great drinks. My favorite place in the area right now.

2021-11-15Attended a wedding / going away party here this past weekend. The decor throughout the place was so cute. There is a little food truck outside but since we had food provided inside, I did not partake in that. Tons of fire pits and fire places. Upstairs has a section full of couches and tables. The employees were all very friendly and attentive at the bar.

You can sit outside and look out to the gorgeous sunflower field, that you can also pick from, or sit inside the barn which has an upstairs also! Will definitely be going back. I cant wait

2021-06-03Yeah we had a great time here on a Friday afternoon. No mask by staff but we don’t care. It’s very open and air flow is great. You can spend the rest of your time in the lawn with live music right after your drinks.Live music according to the bartender is Friday and Saturday night only and they are really good. They were playing 90s cover and we had lots fun. There are firepit and Adirondack chairs with picnic table. We got there around 5pm and the crowd is pretty thin.Service is good. We ordered a specialty cocktails and got that on instagram. Overall it’s fun chatting with human after COVID. Every customers mind to their own table and it’s pretty distanced.Price is decent and I heard something about their happy hour which we need to go back to find out. Food is limited and don’t think about vegan. They are mostly burger and fries and wings from a food truck. We weren’t hungry for those. Also leave your drink and food at home. This is not a byob place.The scenic lawn is what the hype about for this place. On a good day, you get to overlook the whole plain and maybe a great sunset.

2021-07-18I highly recommend Brown Barn Farms! My wife and I had a great time.there yesterday. The live music was excellent with a new local performer Joe Benoit playing an awesome playlist! Enjoyed some great drinks in an awesome country atmosphere. Brown Barn is definitely one of the best places that I’ve been to in Orange County.

2020-07-05I cant wait to go inside. I have tried their food truck outside and then sat in their picnic tables. I really wish they were open more often. And can you imagine if they place some outside arts in those fields? It is a cool concept as it is. The greenery is lovely and their veg stand and food truck addition is a plus. 👌👌👌
