Good beer selection. Place will be packed with college kids during the SU bar nights.
Loved the fishbowl cocktails!!! Ordered the obligatory food to get my drink due to the covid regulations and was so very happy with the order of mozzarella sticks I chose because they have THE best marinara sauce and there were 8 sticks for $8.95 which is a much better price than the usual 6 sticks for the same price anywhere else! Will definitely stop in again when Im in the area. Also all the staff were all the nicest people ever from the security guys to the wait staff.
Went to lucys with a couple of friends. They denied one of them for the way he looked at one of the bouncers. They forget that it’s illegal to deny entry of a 21 year old or older. Waste of an establishment. Complete embarrassment and completely pathetic to conduct illegal actions against a perfectly legal human being trying to enter a public bar. Lucys is trash don’t look at the bouncers they are to powerful and cannot let their ego go. Embarrassing from the establishment and claimed that public sidewalk was private to them. Interesting coming from an establishment that offers nothing to campus and is pitiful with how they deal with legal action.
Enjoyable spot right on campus with good food and beer specials for people who work up there during the week. Staff was friendly and attentive and the food was good for the price!
Came at a busy time. No beer menus or draught list on the wall. Also not a brewery so brewing company is misleading. Polite, loud staff so you can hear them and great Syracuse pre-game.
The staff is always so friendly, welcoming and kind. Loaded fries are amazing and crate wings are a must have. Rum buckets and fish bowls are my go to drink, but anything they make is amazing and put out quickly. They even have the 1911 ciders on tap. They are very good about following the CDC guidelines and making sure the patrons do as well. Orange crate has become my favorite bar!

Stopped here during the 2019 NYS Chiefs Convention, great drinks. Great staff, Lance was awsome!.. back here each year when at the convention... this being 2022, awsome place to hang and relax after a long day. Great place and my group makes it a point to stop here every year we are in Syracuse.
Apparently, you must only be a college student to enter this bar. Under 18 are allowed obviously. If you are military, that is not allowed. These security guys are fake marines that did nothing and wanted to punish the real Army veterans. Good job Syracuse for the support on the underage drinking. Fights only start from the rejection of real receiptants.

I love this bar! The hours are consistent which is not the case for most bars around this area! During the day the bar has many locals and older customers which is my favorite time to go in. After 10PM is when most of the younger crowds come to this bar. The managers all have a minimum of 8 years of experience and are friendly as well as are on-top of any and all situations. The staff and bartenders are all excellent and very friendly. Also, this bar takes under-aged drinking as well as safety very seriously which is important to me when I go to this bar without my husband! This is by far the best local bar and sports bar!
Great food! Had the Cuse burger which was fantastic, along with the Bloody Mary which was really unique as I think they must use wing sauce which was different but pretty good! We had a pretty large group with us headed to the Cuse Lax game and the staff was awesome, got our orders in and on the table really quickly! Plus our waitress was drop dead gorgeous so that didnt hurt any! Would definitely go back!

I ate here yesterday and thought it was great! It was empty when we arrived (on a Monday night), but a few people came in while we were eating. I had pork bibimbap and it was absolutely delicious. My friends enjoyed their meals as well. I would have liked some Korean side dishes for my food, but I think because they also serve Japanese and Chinese food, they dont put so much into making it traditional Korean dining.

Great spot to visit before a football or basketball game. Newly renovated space in an existing building. Open space High ceilings lots of TVs and did not feel dark and cramped. Plenty of beer selections great atmosphere, staff and owner very pleasant. Food was good. Close to parking and close to Carrier Dome

So to be upfront, I have never done an online review of a restaurant before. Not to say that I havent had good food around here or that I dont give rave reviews in person to my friends and colleagues, but I just generally dont leave reviews. Ill make an exception here because it was damn good. Also as a side note, grubhub wouldnt let me leave a review on the website so Im posting it here.Ill start off by saying that I got the itis from this food. I was at first a bit skeptical in ordering because of the hefty prices and the sort-of-okay ratings on grubhub, but the pictures looked too good to not try it out once. I ordered the omelette rice, their korean fried chicken, and the beef bibimbap. Ive eaten beef bibimbap and korean food many times from different places, but I was excited to try out their korean fried chicken and omelette rice.Delivery was quick and the food was piping hot. The servings were huge. And every single one of the dishes tasted amazing. Even the bibimbap, which Ive had loads of times, was sooo good. The beef somehow tasted more delicious and seasoned better than Ive ever had before.The only reasons why this rating is not a 5 (its more like a 4.8 if I had my way) is mainly because of the price. I bought three things and spent a little over $60 (including tip and grubhub charges). I would usually only spend that amount on food if Im treating myself (which was what happened today) or if Im with friends/family. The other minor reason is that the bibimbap was starting to leak from the bottom of the styrofoam container. It may be best to put cardboard under orders like that, but thats just a suggestion.This place is definitely a hidden gem. Ill definitely be sure to order from here again.
Nice looking place. Not a fun hang out like the old place. Many students cannot.drink here 21 years old to drink. Food.good but limited options.patio party after 10pm. Bar person knows beers. Pay to get in after 10pm.worth a try.
This is NOT a brewery. Gross college bar. Only go if you like getting drunk with 19 year old college students.
Great food and big beer list. Staff is great. I recommend this place for everyone. There’s a big outdoor patio and the best time for any SU game days.

Illegal credit card surcharge, on top of underwhelming offerings. Bartender was nice though.Edit: thanks for your response, but you are not in compliance because you still require your customer to do the math for the surcharge.
If I could give Lucys 0 stars, I would. My friends and I frequent this place on the weekends but this will be the last! Last weekend one of the bouncers, Bobby, had a disagreement with a customer and called the customer the n word! Just yesterday a DIFFERENT bouncer aggressively grabbed my friend and shook her because he said she didnt pay. This place is DISGUSTING! Only go here if you want to be disrespected and accused of not paying a five dollar cover. I hope the owner learns how to properly run a business and gets rid of his staff! Until then we will take our business to Harrys and Faegans because they are more than respectful to ALL of their customers not just the ones that play basketball!

Awesome sports bar, great staff, good beer selection! When you walk the half mile hill up to campus and think you might be ready to keel over, this is the perfect spot to recover.

2021-12-15I had the special sauce wings I can’t remember the names but these were dynamite!! The sauce was delicious and the meat on the wings was perfectly cooked and they weren’t well done or too crispy!The pizza reminded me of Chuck E. Cheese (which I loved). The sauce snd cheese and dough were perfectly made! this was a surprise I was just grabbing some food and this was the quickest option but man I will be returning!

2022-05-25Was in Syracuse for a conference at the college. Convenient location right across the street from the main entrance, and went there twice. First time was pretty early, place was dead, very awesome bartender and good food. Second time it was packed, but the staff got to me quick.Cannot comment on the alcohol, because I dont drink.

2022-03-06We traveled to Syracuse to visit our son for the last senior basketball game. We decided to go in to the Orange Crate for a few drinks after the game. We got a round of 3 drinks and saw that the total was $31.50, which is fine; HOWEVER, we saw that the bartender added an auto-gratuity of 15%, again, fine. Then he added TWO additional gratuities to our bill! That is a $15 tip for 3 drinks. This is an unacceptable practice! Maybe they did that because we are parents? Do they also do this to our children that attend Syracuse that may not pay attention to his/her receipt? We brought this up to the manager and she said she would credit us back the entire bill and re-charge our credit card the proper amount. Upon checking our bill, all she did was charge another $40 and did not credit anything. We paid $89.48 for three weak drinks!! LOOK AT YOUR BILL PEOPLE!

2021-09-17Really enjoy the Crate. Good food and reasonable prices. You have to be able to have patience at lunch time here though, as AT TIMES, the volume is crazy and the staff is light. And the restaurant is an echo chamber so it gets LOUD in there. Crate sauce itself is worth the trip!! Still a must visit place in the Cuse!!
