2 nights booked- Creepy hostel vibes. The Redford is exactly the same btw. Same workers. Same maintenance man. Maintenance man was there when I entered the building. No warning at check in that there was no hot water. Called at midnight, I was going to shower at night and receptionist said just turn the nob all the way left and let it run. The water was FREEZING cold. I COULD not even shower. The next day I called the receptionist in the morning, they said maintenance man was working on it, it was just my floor and it will be an hour. Called again at the next hour and said its the whole building and itll be an another hour. At this point it is now noon and I said I am not paying for another night here when I cant even shower and I am wasting my day. They said I would need to call the 3rd party I went through to receive 10% off my first night and I wouldnt be charged for the second, it will just not charge my card. 10 days later my card is still charged for the full amount. I am going to get ALL of my money back. These hotels (I think there are 3 in this group are SCAMS). My friend was being flown out for work and checked into the Redford - (it was spring break weekend i guess all hotels in the area were super pricey, he was flown out for work) the day I checked out. I went in with him to see his room because he said it was disgusting. There was toilet paper shoved in-between the wall air/heater unit in the cracks. and guess who was in the lobby when we entered.. the same maintenance man. (oh and the elevators were broken too)
Booked online, showed up to no room available, receptionist moved booking to the next day for no reason (we left & only needed a room that night), told me to call credit card for refund but hotel added a cancellation fee for missing the next day. Disputed through credit card, conference called hotel to verify & they gave me the managers email. Refused to verify footage that I in fact had to leave to find another hotel that night. Manager hasnt responded. Booking.com has contacted them to encourage the refund, havent heard back yet. Almost got caught up in a refund scam calling a phished booking.com customer service # that wanted me to download an app to access my phone. Total nightmare
The hotel is in a good location and close to Soho, LES and Chinatown. There are a lot of great bars and restaurants within blocks of the building. Room was very cozy and the climate control was perfect and adjustable. Some people in the reviews complained about the rooms being small, I think they are perfect sized. Since ya know being in nyc you are suppose to see the city and not just hangout in your hotel room. Bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. And the bathroom was stocked with towels and toiletries. I stayed over Halloween which the hotel was pretty busy. The staff seemed to be on top of everything.
This hotel offered a great view of the city and was in a great location for navigating the SOHO area. It was also only a 20ish minute Uber from Times Square and the Upper East side. Across the street is an Insomnia Cookies location, several bars on the corner, and lots of shops within short walking distance. The view, depending on room orientation, was perfect, with a clear shot of the Empire State Building. The amenities themselves are where I dock a star. At times, the entire hotel, according to staff, was out of toilet paper. While not the biggest deal, it is something I didn’t expect a hotel to have an issue with. Also, the elevator likely needs servicing as well. On one particular day, the whole thing had to be reset, keeping customers from using it. For me, this resulted in a 9 flight climb. And at the time, there were people checking in and out, having to lug their bags up and down the stairs. Again, these are relatively minor in the grand scheme of things, but they still detracted a bit from the stay.Overall though, I fully recommend staying here if you need a more inexpensive hotel, all the while still having access to lots of local restaurants and shops.Attached are pictures of the view my room had.
My room was very small, just large enough for the double bed and a shelf. They charge a facility fee for wifi, and an undisclosed amount for the 5-cent-a-bottle bottled water they provide.Floors are small too, and have no amenities like ice or other vending. This is a bare-bones experience, and required the hassle of submitting an expense for the facility fee. I know this stuff costs money to provide, but this is just nickel-and-dimeing.Everything was relatively clean, but I wont be booking again, even if I wanted to stay in this area.
I made a mistake on my reservation and booked it the week before I arrived. I realized this mistake the morning of and sent an email to their email address to see what could be done. The front desk was neither knowledgeable or helpful. They said the only way to bring this up with management was to send an email. I sent multiple emails and CCed the holding company that owns this hotel and I still have not heard back from anyone. If you have an option, stay somewhere else.
I stayed in room 803 queen bed. The room was very small even for NYC standards. The sink is outside of the actual bathroom and the shower had a window without any blinds . No privacy if The room felt like 200 square feet. The hotel does not offer much . They were unable to provide extra towels. The front desk at check -in was ok. However the person at the front desk in the evening was inexperienced. I regret choosing this hotel.
By far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The day I arrive they told me my booking was cancelled, took them an eternity to fix the error in the system. The day after I checked out, they repeatedly charged my card OVER A DOZEN TIMES within 15 minutes. My stay was booked AND fully paid for two prior. Their phone lines were down for over a week, so I had to I email them to ask them to stop charging me and provide an explanation. I never received a response. Horrible experience, I’d rate zero stars if I could.
Located in a great location but not everything I expected. The rooms are smaller than a college dorm room. Had no TV service for both nights I stayed had no towels the first high I stayed. There was no WiFi service at all. Ask upon leaving the establishment for a discount for my inconvenience. Was told I would receive an email from the manager. After no email nor phone call. I called to find out they still have no phone service nor internet service to this day. I still have the receipt because I do plan to go back and get my discount. Im still mad at Hotels.com for not intervening in some way. Especially since the hotel is listed on there site but doesnt have a legitimate phone number or email to contact the company when Hotels.com customers have a complaint. I would never go back there again.
The hotel is shut down and boarded up but still accepting payments. They have no reception, phone line, or email. I told everyone in my family to go there and we all had to change our plans last-minute after reading the Google reviews. You need to call the Redford Hotel to get a refund or redeem the stay at the Redford instead. It’s a shame because I used to love this place when it was open!
Bad hotel, poor customer service from the staff, lackof services (no hot water during the whole stay), not interest to support or provide solutions for there customers, I saw at least two additional couple complaining about the same situation. Finally a lot of people that doesnt stay at the hotel hace access, and they wonder around the hotel. Worst option in Manhattan
So apparently the orchard street hotel was closed for awhile but reopened beginning of august. i stayed there 9/14 and tried several times to contact the hotel to see if it was open since a couple reviews said they weren’t. i even called the sister hotel (the redford) and they told me the orchard was open. still after several days of calling them they never answered the phone. the hotel itself is nice but small. room was clean and the ac was amazing, but no tv/cable and the rooftop was closed. overall it was cheap and good location i just hate that they don’t answer the phone
Booked this place only to pull up and see that it was boarded up. Seems like they have been closed for months, but they are still taking people’s money. And they still show up on 3rd party booking sites. Luckily, Priceline was able to rebook me at no cost, but there is no excuse for this to happen. I can see it happening if they’d been closed for a few days and they hadn’t been purged from various websites, but they’ve been closed for at least 8 months and they’re still actively soliciting bookings. Absolutely ridiculous.
Our room was not clean had hair in the sink, on the bed, sheets were not clean, & blinds were on the ground... we asked for another room, same issue. So we cancelled our reservations at the front desk, booked through booking.com but paid at the hotel through them. The manager said we’d get a full refund, I got overcharged room was $143 my card got charged $259... and we did not even stay. I’ve called the hotel no answer....
Just want to give people a heads up. This hotel is no longer open! According to Yelp, it closed in March 2020. I booked a room and had to cancel last minute. When I called, the number was disconnected. Thankfully I didnt prepay online, nor did I actually show up to find out it was closed. So in summary, dont book a room here.
This is the best place to stay in New York City.Clean, comfortable, classy and cheap.Extremely friendly and accommodating staff.I thought it might be a bit dodgy (based on the price), but it is not at all. It also isnt as cramped as I was expecting, the rooms have everything you could need. I even received a free upgrade to the top floor, which has spectacular views.Definitely recommend!!!
Overbooked and cancelled my reservation without notice. Did not help find a new hotel nor offer any assistance.I was staying at this hotel on 2/15-2/16. I decided to stay another night and booked another night THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE early that morning. I even checked a half hour after booking to see if prices fluctuated and rooms were still available on THEIR WEBSITE.I went downstairs at 11 to check back in and was informed that I did not have a room, all guests had checked in (which they hadnt), and there was nothing they could do.During my last trip to New York just last month, I stayed at this hotel for 5-6 days because I enjoyed it. This was the treatment a repeat customer gets?Never again and buyer beware -- you may not have a room when you arrive, they wont inform you ahead of time, and they just dont care about your inconvenience.Update: despite the message below, I was never contacted by Orchard Street Hotel. Wheres the zero star rating?
Cozy hotel with unbeatable location in one of the best NYC neighborhoods. Breakfast could be better but if you’re vacationing right you should be experiencing the amazing local spots within walking distance anyway.Front desk concierges were all very accommodating. Especially Naleni - she is a ray of sunshine! She was so friendly and made sure I enjoyed my stay to the max.Would definitely stay at the Orchard Street Hotel again.
We loved our stay there!! The rooms are tiny but for what you pay they are very clean, comfy and the views are great. Each person we dealt with at the front was very helpful and very nice. Definitely would recommend if you want to stay in the lower east side. Lots of stuff to do very close as well.
I’ve been staying at orchard street hotel for the last 2 years, about every 6 weeks for 2-4 days. It’s always clean and the staff is very friendly. Because I stay frequently they even offered me several free upgrades. The higher floors have great views, there’s plenty of great food within a few blocks. Highly recommended
Booked a room for one night, but when we arrived the entire building was shut down. All entrances were blocked and the windows were covered. I called the hotel and was redirected to their sister location, The Gatsby Hotel, and they gave me the option to cancel or rebook there. The Gatsby Hotel had FAR less amenities and was greatly disappointing. There were random hairs on most of the towels and the walls were very thin, so you could hear everything outside of the room. This is all to say that NO WHERE on the website did they indicate they were closed. I booked directly from their website, but I also saw bookings on AirBnb. I received 2 booking confirmations from them with no indication that they would have to move me to a different hotel the day I arrived. They had my reservation in their system because the concierge was able to look me up immediately. Do not book here!!
This hotel was a great steal for the price Paid. It was conveniently located near a train and bus line. The views were beautiful as well. Although the rooms are little small, they are very modern in appearance and make good use of the space. I would definitely stay here again for a weekend getaway.
Room was small but I was aware of this beforehand so not an issue. We thought it was rather cute and we didnt need the extra space anyway. Loved the view. Only other thing to note is that the water took a long time to heat up for the shower. The location was great, lots of good food nearby and the F line subway station is a short walk away
Great location in lower east side. The room (506) is small but it was ok for me as i was alone in the room. For 2 people i think its too small. It takes a lot of time to get hot water, maybe 10 minutes of running water until they get hot. The water flow is low. Found some hair on the sheets. The breakfast is very minimal.
The best about that hotel is the view from the upper levels. We got lucky to got a uptown view. You could even admit to see Jersey City on sunny days. Everything else is solid. Sadly they serving no breakfast and the lounge is only open one or two days a week. On one night a severe thunderstorm with heavy rainfall forced water to get into the room.
The hotel is in a very lively location in LES. There is much around you and its never quiet. The hotel does a good job at insulation (6th floor experience). The rooms are small, this is NYC Manhattan standard usually, but amenities arent much. For the price, its definitely a good deal.
Nice contemporary modern hotel. Friendly staff. Complimentary tea amd coffee. Great location; plenty of bars and eateries in the surrounding area. The room was clean and simple. My only issue was the size of the room. It was just a bed which took up 70% of the room and bathroom. It didnt even have a closet. I kept banging my shin every time I had to walk around the bed to get to the other side of the room. It felt more like a hostel or a dorm than a hotel.
Having arrived to the hotel on a chilly day, we noticed that the heat was not working in our room. After a call to Naleni at the front desk, we immediately had a knock at the door and it was the maintenance technician. He was unable to fix the issue so Naleni moved us to another room without delay! We had an amazing view of the Empire State Building and were thrilled with the new room. She is such a valuable asset to the hotel with her winning smile, and caring attitude! We would definitely return to The Orchard Street Hotel!!Our only complaint was the water pressure in the shower. Fix that and you’ll definitely be a winner!
The service, location, and views are easily 5star. Very clean. Good size for NYC. And my wife was thrilled to see bath and bodyworks shower gel and lotion in the room. If i come back to NYC this is where i will stay. Make sure to check out the bar across the street called hair of the dog
This hotel is clean and there are nice employees but there is constant ticking, no cable, very cold, NOISY. VERY VERY VERY NOISY, you can hear honking, laughing / yelling and every noise coming from outside. There is not enough walkway for people to walk around the bed, the elevator is rusty and doesn’t open completely. The alarm went off at 12AM for no reason, & the bed is uncomfortable. Not to mention TINY space, good if you’re a small / petite person. Me and my sister came here and paid for a double bed and when we asked employee why we didn’t have 2 beds in the room they said they did not have 2 beds. Talk about false advertisement. At least the cookie place down the street is delicious!
This place is in a great location, and that is really it’s only redeeming factor. The service was terrible and the rooms were dirty and tiny. I understand the hotels in manhattan have little space, but this place felt much more like a hostel than hotel. Overall wouldn’t return. Not worth the price.
Rooms are incredibly small but, beds are extremely comfortable and bathroom is nice. It gets the job done however (weekend stay), who comes to New York to stay in their hotel all day? The room was for my best friend and I, while we had to shuffle around it wasnt too bad and offered enough space for getting ready and sleeping. The location is very nice and chill, usually quiet with little noise during weekend night life. VIEWS and morning sun are beautiful. Visit local pizzerias and brunch places like Clinton Street Baking Co. Lastly, its just a good walk or a short drive away from being on Spring Street for shopping! Overall good experience, wish the rooms were bigger, I may stay here again if it was only for a weekend.
The location is decent. The rooms are small, but adequate. This hotel is noisy. You can hear the street. You can hear your neighbors. You can hear drunks puking in the hall. For a new hotel, it seems poorly built in terms of noise isolation, etc..The shower is almost unusable... seemed like maybe 1 gpm... A bit more than a dribble. We wont be staying here again.
I didn’t realize how bare the rooms are and kind of depressing. There are no night table lamps so you can’t set mood lighting. The TV wall mount is so high that you can barely relax on bed and watch Tv comfortably. The bed takes up the entire small area. It kind of felt like a luxury prison room. No art work to see but a view of the top of a city building with pipes and hvac stuff. It really felt like a prison room that was all white. Also the pillows are so small. I can hear the peopleNext to me since I think the walls are thin. I guess since it was the cheapest hotel and last minute, but I would have paid more if I would have known the rooms are very small almost claustrophobic.
The hotels claim that the standard queen room contains a queen size bed is simply fraudulent. It is a full sized bed, end of story. Shower pressure is a pathetic trickle -- I didnt shampoo my hair because I doubted I would be able to rinse it out. The lack of any decor in the room is bizarre. Come on, at least a cheesy painting or something. Avoid unless you literally just need a bed for a night and youll fit in a full size bed.
So bad. We found a bug in the bed and they handed us fresh sheets told us to change them ourselves and take a picture of the bug to email to them. People, the negative reviews here unfortunately are the true story. I’m not a petty person and barely ever write reviews but please consider yourself warned, this isn’t a hotel. It’s basically a hostel. I’m so disappointed, this was supposed to our babymoon and I was hoping to rest.
I traveled a lot for work all over the world, the thing that stands out a lot in hotels is their staff. I stayed here for 15 nights and every morning I was greeted with a warm welcome as I came off the elevator to get my morning shake from Dr. Smood right down the block. Everything is walking distance and the view is amazing. Thank you Naleni for the morning hugs and motivation. You are an absolute asset to that entity. She makes you feel you are in some sort of luxury hotel where elite customer service is a must. I will be calling for you because I will back soon.
So. The staff was great, the room was small, the view was priceless. The water flow in the bathroom needs help or you just need to do a courtesy flush. If you can get to the roof you will see all of the New York Skyline. The coffee was nice and being super close to everything was nice. Orchard street is dope , check out Rosarios pizza and Katz deli. China town is super close and I walked from the world trade center to the hotel just fine. So honestly, every room should have a plunger.
My wife and I recently visited for an overnight anniversary trip to the city and were so excited just to be there, but when the Winston at the front desk heard of our anniversary he immediately upgraded us to a deluxe room with the only balcony in the hotel!!! We couldnt have had a better experience. The location of this hotel was great!! Within walking distance (a few blocks) to both Chinatown and little Italy it was perfect for our trip. The famous Katz deli was right down the street also. The views from our room were amazing of the city at night and with it being Christmas all the lights lit up the sky so beautifully. We would definitely stay here again!!
Had wonderful previous experiences at this location. However, my recent stay was not pleasant. The air conditioning was not working nor was there a WiFi connection to which I notified the front desk. I was told an engineer was being called. Several hours had passed and I was then told the engineer wouldn’t be making it that evening. Needless to say, I was unable to attend to work emails and had to sleep in a room without air conditioning in 90degree NYC heat. The staff did not handle the situation appropriately as it was happening and was quite rude insisting there was nothing they could do. The situation was resolved the next day at check out after getting in touch with a manager, but that did not make up for the unpleasant experience.
Tiny rooms, small bathroom, horrible breakfast. They informed us bad about the times of breakfast so when we get down there was almost nothing. No air conditioning in the breakfast room. Plastic glasses, dishes and cutlery. Shower worked horrible, very expensive for the condition and service. The only good thing is the locationEnviado
Terrible experience. After I signed for the room we were told the AC wasn’t working and is “being worked on”. When we got up to the room it was hotter than outside. Front desk was vague and didn’t provide even a fan for two hours. Management didn’t seem to be present whatsoever. Spoke with multiple people on the elevator who said they got the same spiel and theirs never got fixed. Will not be returning here again.
I stayed here for only a few hours via the website dayuse. My time was very good. My girlfriend and I were checked in very quicky. The room was a bit small, with the sink being outside of the bathroom. But, the view was amazing. Besides the sink part the room was good and comfortable.
Rooms were small (which we didnt mind at all), and clean-ish. We had a black streak on our duvet when we arrived, but that was also fine -- perhaps the maid simply brushed it with cleaning supplies. The noise however was pretty terrible. We were on the 4th floor and the rooms and door sounded like they had little to no sound dampening. You could hear everything in the hallway as if the door were open, and hear neighbors who werent being overly loud (simply showering, closing doors, etc). Were it not for the really bad noise in the room, this would have received a 5 star review.
2 employees doing something with the printer (one seemed like a manager) told me the the desk clerk was on break rather than checking me in. So I had to stand there for over 10 minutes. My whole floor smelled strongly of perfume or some kind of odor-hiding scent. The room was TINY, but the bed was ok. I slept pretty well. For cheap(er) Lower East Side accomodations, it was acceptable.
It is like everyone says. Rooms are pretty small but not completely horrible. The view in the rooms were really nice to view as we were in the 6th floor. Windows were pretty big so it is a plus. Overall it is a decent room from that did work with the price that was offered.
Loved this clean and simple hotel in lower Manhattan. Very convenient to subway station and exceptional views from the upper floors. Staff was friendly and the room exceeded expectations. Several fantastic dining options are within a block or two down Orchard St including Mr. Taka Ramen right next door.
Our hotel room was simple and straightforward. Positives: the room was clean, we had a sweet view (from the 7th floor), the location was excellent, the staff were friendly. So-So: The shower/water pressure was good but water ended up getting around on the floor bc of the way the shower curtain is set up. Negative: street noises (a lot of honking) and other guests on our floor woke us up several times throughout the night--the soundproofing isnt great and the hotel staff didnt seem to be aware of any need to regulate the noise. Perhaps the hotel could improve by more actively enforcing quiet hours.
NALENI is wonderful, friendly, answered all the questions that interested! I really like it ! Thank you NALENI from us !The room on the 11th floor was elegant, clean, we got incredible emotions and sensations from the windows! I fall in love!!Thanks to your team and hotel! We will be back soon, wait us !🙌
Went for the weekend with my boyfriend expecting double beds, I get to my room(if I can call it that) to find one bed and when I question the staff they reply saying the hotel doesn’t have two beds available at all after they advertised double room. The room was small as can be, the walls were thin, constant noise from outside and inside, room was humid and sticky, there was dust everywhere on the desks as if it hadn’t been cleaned for weeks, the cable and tv don’t work, Internet never connected, bed was uncomfortable, small and no utilities, the shower curtain was too small to cover the water poured outside, overrall it was a bad experience the only nice thing the hotel has is the fountain and lobby and the area other than that the rooms are pretty much dirty broom closets. Never again.
We came all the way from Fayetteville NC to stay at the Orchard hotel and not only was it the best time, it was a great stay, from the front desk staff to the cleaning staff. Our room was perfect! And the view was breathtaking. I was here in memory of my mom who I lost to cancer, we never got to make the trip together but somehow ik she was with me. Thank u for the best memories and stay. And thank to Naleni ( I think I spelled it right lol) for being so kind!
All staff friendly just like home ! All assets to your company. Naleni greets every guest big welcome smile . Winston excellent sending Luis upimmediately to look at door to balcony 1104.Romello service with a smile for additional towels toilet paper for housekeeping .Luis excellent service . Thx!!! one suggestion two trash cans per room
Upon entering a corner small tiny room i found hair that look like pubes and a rip in the sheets. I requested for another room but the man at the front desk refused. 2 ppl were sent in to change my sheets; when they lifted the cover, more hair was found ... they threw the comforter on top of the dirty closet because there was no place to put anything. I was just sitting here watching it all unfold literally.it is very tight and uncomfortable. I would not stay again or suggest.in response to carlotta:have you seen the pictures of the ripped hole and the tiny curled up hair under the pillows? im not too sure what your expectations are of excellent hygiene and health but sending in 2 employees with timberlands w. ripped jeans & the scent of victoria secret perfume ripping the bed apart (where there were more hair found) is just a little unacceptable.when you say my accomodation was not to your standards; i mean who would want to pay for a dirty room with dirty sheets? there are so many other boutique hotels/hotels or whatever you want to refer orchard st to that couldve and wouldve accommodated better than the man you hired downstairs. i was a little taken back when you said unfortunately your accommodation was not matched to our standards. have you seen your staff and rooms?
First room they gave me had not been cleaned at all, bed was not made, bedding was still crumpled in a ball from last guest and towels were used on the floor. Second room had stains on the sheets. Extremely small, overall not very clean, service is both poor and slow. These guys get by on being in a very good location, but as an actual hotel its more of an extremely overpriced hostel.
The hotel as a building I cannot fault. Its a great location for a budget downtown NY stay however a couple members of staff handled my stay with absolute shocking unprofessionalism. When booking into the hotel I was initially not charged for my full stay despite giving my card to the receptionist. Two days into my week long stay i recieved a phone call at 6 am which woke me up from reception rambling on about the payment. Could this not have waiting until at least 7/8am? As i was literally half asleep at the time i put the phone down and at 9am went down to reception to see what the fuss was about. Complaining about the totally unacceptable call at 6am I did not even recieve an apology and the receptionist asked for my card to reswipe. She reswiped my card and then claimed it had not gone through so i sent her my mothers card details via email as she requested. Upon speaking to my bank they informed me that the card had actually gone through and I had already been charged. I informed the receptionist of the almost $1000 charge she had accidentally made on my account again to not even be met with an apology. Total lack of professionalism here. What kind of hotel calls a guests room at 6am!!!!! Especially in NYC! Will avoid any future stay here at all costs.
Stayed in this hotel in November 2018 for four days to take in the celebrations of Thanksgiving,We have never been to New York before and the staff at Orchard Street Hotel were very helpful accommodating with advice on what transport to use and how to get to some of the major landmarks,Unfortunately the heating went in our room and Masuf immediately got us changed to another room and could not do enough to help us,The views of New York from our room were absolutely stunning,We will definitely be coming back to this hotel again.
+the room is very clean+staff are helpful and friendly+location is good, very close to metro and there are some shops around-first night we arrived, one guest in the next room died and we were interrogated by police in the middle of the night- very noisy, you can hear everything outside the room door+staff changed our room after the incident and refund for the first night-the room size is actually not too small, but the use of space could have been much better-no kettle in the room

2022-05-31Positive: Conveneient location for our plans. Some staff were very friendly, some were just ok. It was clean and had a nice rooftop view of the city. Negative: The layout of the room was poor. The platform bed was so close to the wall that we would bump our ankles trying to get around it. No bar soap, only shower gel. No glasses or ice machine. Paper cups available only.

2022-03-20Good and bad.The staff members were very friendly. The room was clean (the first night.) I liked the location. The room size was small but not by New York standards. All the utilities and equipment worked.Arrived at 2:05 PM and was told my room was ready but that checking in before 3:00 PM incurred a $50.00 early check in fee.I decided to wait it out in the lobby but was not made to wait the entire hour. When I got to the room. The shades were all up and the windows were open. There was a half finished bottle of water on the sill and the thermostat read 84°. I closed the windows and most of the blinds (one blind wouldnt go down all the way.) I cranked the AC for 30 minutes but the temperature did not get any lower so I took all my luggage back downstairs in hope of getting another room.Rather than giving me another room they asked me to wait in the lobby while they tried to repair the A/C. Waited 30 minutes for the technician to arrive and another 30 minutes for him to work on it. After the technician spoke to the front desk they gave me a second room. Both the technician and front desk were apologetic about the issue.New room (703) was cool and the bed was comfortable. The furnishings were dorm-like but clean and in good repair. There was a tapping behind the wall near the door that sounded like maybe pipes or a water drip, I couldnt tell. It came on and off my entire stay but Im a sound sleeper so it didnt keep me up.The next night I got back to my room late around 11:00 PM and was disappointed to see that it had not been cleaned, (bed not made, no new towels, etc.) Fortunately, I still had one towel and one bottle of shampoo left so I wasnt terribly inconvenienced.During my extended time in the lobby I heard several guests talk about deals they had from various booking sites. If you can get such a deal and are okay with a nice two-star hotel then I think this will do the job for you. If you pay full price and expect a three-star hotel, you might be disappointed.

2022-06-12Overall very unimpressed. The rooms looked like they hadn’t been renovated in 20 years. Water damage on the walls. The furniture was old and worn and looked like it was trash picked. No water bottles in the room. No working fan in the bathroom. They didn’t even have hand soap. There was zero bathroom counter space and the sink was so small we could barely wash our hands. The room was clean, the bed moderately comfortable, and the front desk staff were nice. But unfortunately I would not recommend staying here.

2022-06-19Gross. And sketchy. The front desk staff are all super courteous and professional. Very nice people, every one of them. My room was filthy. Dirty everywhere, and the bathroom had a very strong stench of urine. I asked the front desk to have the cleaning staff address it, which resulted in the floor becoming sticky, and the stench becoming only slightly less stenchy. The next day the cleaning crew didnt clean my room at all. I would never stay here again.

2022-06-16Positive: I stayed at the hotel from June 11 to 14. Honestly, terrible days, rooms in poor condition, dirt, the bad smell of chlorine and cigarettes. I went to talk to the receptionist and she ignored me, there are no good manners on her part. of the hotel staff Negative: I stayed at the hotel from June 11 to 14. Honestly, terrible days, rooms in poor condition, dirt, the bad smell of chlorine and cigarettes. 2022-05-18First thing first, the location was great. The staff were friendly and they accommodate with the visitors very well. So many foods around the area, and easy to travel as well. The room was okay. The bed sheet had some stains but since, me and my partner was staying only for 1 night we didn’t really mind it. Also, the toilet had some trouble flushing; however, after calling the reception, they send a technition as soon as possible ;). The water pressure of the bathroom wasn’t the best. Anyway, staff were very nice and even though check out time is 11am, I actually checked out at 12pm, and they were fine with it. All these things aside, i’d definitely stay here again! Just because I loved the location. Probably will try to book other rooms with different styles.

2022-07-09The lady at reception whn we. Checked in was very rude. She almost scared me off. AC vent in room filled with dust. I was asked to have tea in backard but there were no cups. When I asked for cups, i was told there are no cups and she did not know how many days cups will take to arrive....not sure, how i was supposed to have tea without cups!!!!

2022-03-05This was a great hotel. They treated us great. They brought us extra blankets and made us feel welcome every time we came in or went out. We will stay here again. Its on a great street, in a great part of town.

2022-05-26The rooms are tiny, but that’s ok. First room given to us still had towels by previous guests on the floor. So we got a new room. That room kind of smelled bad. But we stayed anyway. Most amenities we payed for were not available due to construction work. Good place if your are on a budget, but otherwise I’d go somewhere else
