Original Italian Pizza in other cities:
Stopped on my way home to try it out since I love the OIP at James and Townsend. I WILL NEVER go to this place again. I ordered slices and they were Rock hard and cold. The young girl working the register was playing with the rubber bands on her braces and had her fingers in her mouth, then handled a customers food without washing her hands or sanitizing. Very unsanitary. Nope never again!
👍👍👍👍 As always AWESOME!We ordered 2 orders french fries and they were hot and not soggy? Also 1 chicken calzone and Chicken parmesan sub.Quality and portion size best in Syracuse. Our dog Barkley gives you 4 paws up🐾🐾🐾🐾.Delivery was fast and the driver was really niceLois Eastwood.
The food is awesome. The staff often mishandles theif responsibilities. I went in to pick up an order ten minutes late. I was told itvwasnt ready yet, but I saw it on top of the oven. I went to sit in my car, while the food was dying. I went back in and the inexperienced and incompetent employee gave me the box that was there before. I delivered it to my mom, an hour after it was ready. The management does a good job, but some of the counter employees dont have a clue.
My boss has taken me here twice in the past month, and both times we were serviced by the same guy. This guy is the epitome of customer service. Its like I walked into a pizzeria in a movie and everything went perfectly. This guy is clearly a perfectionist and a people pleaser and I love it. The first time he gave me a little cup of his special boom boom sauce for free because I asked for it. The last time I had a garlic slice that was so loaded with garlic that it was a little spicy (in the best way imaginable), and it wasnt until I was almost back to my car before I realized that the spice was from the garlic. The slices are so large and filling that a big eater like me only needs 1 to be satisfied. 2 slices stuffed me to the max on my first trip. I really appreciate the guy that served us and I hope you take the time to stop in and feel the pizza love this guy has to offer. I look forward to my next visit for sure!
Ordered three times in the past two weeks. Online ordering didnt work. Called in and customer service was good. Pizza, steak subs, fries, and boneless wings for first and second order; all were amazing! Third time, pizzas and turkey sub. Pizzas were great, sub was a little skimpy. Delivery time was good and drivers were really nice.
Came here on lunch while visiting for training. Parking lot was full and the line was almost to the door, but I ordered and got through the line in no time. I dont usually order pizza slices but the specialty slices were varied so I went with 3 kinds, Philly steak, chicken wing and chicken bacon ranch. The crust was thin and extra crispy, without promoting for extra crispy, topping were a plenty and definitely worth the price. Anytime I happen to be in the area going forward I would definitely like to come back and try one of the subs, as I can appreciate the extra effort of homemade bread.
I ordered my family’s dinner which consisted of 26 wings lightly char grilled with a side of honey garlic sauce from James St Eastwood location. I discovered the order wasn’t correct when my husband got home. The wings were hard and no extra sauce. This has happened upon my last order but I let this go. This time I decided to call to inform them of the incorrect order that cost $35+ and spoke to an EXTREMELY RUDE SUPERVISOR. Get this...He told me they were closed and to save my wings for tomorrow for him to inspect them. ????? I couldnt believe that was his solution and I expressed that. He said I could come down now and he would wait I agreed and then he said ok I’ll see you tomorrow ( knowing I said I’ll be down) and hung up. I called right back and he just let the phone ring. I went down like he offered and he acted like he couldn’t hear me through the glass and was telling me they were closed. I said you told me I could come down. He cracked the door to speak to me and he still was VERY, VERY, VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL, had no intentions to help and shut the door in my face. He was a thin white male with long dark brown hair. He wouldn’t give me his name but I definitely want to take this to the owner now. This is not the first time he was rude to me over the phone and it’s unnecessary and unacceptable. He should not be in customer service. Not even hungry anymore.
No stars , ordered 2 slices of pizza and the girl forgot it was in the oven. After she put it in the oven she spent all her time talk to everyone there. And waited on another customer and someone else noticed my order in the oven. Normally good food and service. And the girl said it hasnt been busy.
Dinner during an overnight layover in Syracuse, NY, on our drive back from MA to MI, was well resolved with a freshly baked pizza from Original Italian Pizza. Friendly attention with some good recommendations to complement the uneventful evening before crashing out. Recommended.
** edited to add this was James St. Location (Eastwood)***I have a big family visiting from out of state. I tried to brag about how great OIP pizza is and decided I will NEVER order again. (Multiple screw ups/lack of same great quality in the last 6 months as well) Attempted to make an order for the family pak ( 2 large cheese ONLY pizzas, 3 orders(10 wings each order) tonight. 1ST attempt was screwed up because after the girl taking our order confirmed they deliver to our hotel, took the order and then demanded an exact address. Called back with the exact address and reiterated the order. The price was $49.99(+tax &tip) and went up to $80 (still not including tax&tip)because I added pepperoni on 1 pizza and A 2 liter of soda. Thats IT!! When I stated that OIP website says it comes with 3 orders(30wings) I was told I was still being charged for an extra order and for splitting wings) Ive worked in food service, specifically pizza places and she clearly was too flustered to pay attention and speak correctly to a customer . Needless to say she couldnt explain why the price went up so much more so I have decided to take my business elsewhere from now on . Ended up going with Twin Trees East Syracuse and spent just under $70 for 2 large 2 topping pizzas, 48 wings and 2 -2liters of soda! More than enough and it was fantastic! Never again will I make the mistake of being a loyal customer to a chain that clearly cant train employees how to speak correctly and not be so rude.
They do not wear gloves!!!! Went to pick up my order it wasnt ready yet so I waited, and watched as they took food out of the oven and packaged it without any gloves on. Not before it went in the oven but after!!!! Asked to cancel order and wouldnt give me proof that they canceled it so who knows if they took my money too!!! Disgusting!
I ordered delivery from the James Street location and paid for a special for 1 large pizza with 2 orders of wings for $27 and then added one extra order of wings and a soda and my total ended up being $52 not including tip!!! My wings were so tiny and had no meat on them. I remember when OIP used to be the best. Not anymore. I am warning future customers!
Monday evening I used my gift card that I had for OIP. I ordered two slices of Pizza and a soda. The cashier must have been new. she told me it was going to be $2.58. Because it took off the $5.00 on the gift card. I then tried to have her add on a bottle of soda. She cancelled out the whole order and added it up again. Then it came to $9. Nine dollars and change. Because it cancelled out the Gift card. Wow!!!!! I will not go there again. I will not even order pizza from that place. They got the profit from my gift card and then I had to Pay for my two slices of pizza and sodas.I still cant believe she cancelled out the gift card. Yikes, you better train your cashiers/servers better. Or you will be losing money from people that are P.Oed from her not knowing how to handle it. by the way some shift supervisior came over and I dont think he understood what the heck was going on. To bad, so sad. You all lost my business.Tomi T. I will be in to complain to the big boss today(Tuesday).
Firstly, the girl on the phone couldnt take my credit card over the phone when I originally placed the order. Next, when the driver arrived, he couldnt break a $50. (the order was worth $25, he couldnt make change.) I called OIP and asked them to take a card PLEASE b/c the drive couldnt make change. My card went through- after the pizza clerk discussed for at least 3-4 minutes with someone else what was happening. I requested the char grilled wings to have medium buffalo flavor- after the pizza clerk read me my options- and here they are-- naked, just grilled: tasty, but not as I requested. The margarita pizza is SO SOGGY! Drenching with over-garlic sauce in the middle. 100% un-pick-up-able. You must eat it with a knife and fork. Im so BUMMED about this pizza order, after eating one wing & a few bites of my terrible pizza, I got out my laptop to type this up before even trying to eat anymore. If I call to explain this scenario, what will OIP do?OIP- Never again.
I went into the Eastwood location to pick up an order. I was very shocked to see how unprofessional the manager is towards his employee. The manager screams at an employee in front of customers, then stands there while another male employee is just as rude to her and allows it to happen, all while I and 3 other customers stand there appalled. Is this how OIP treats their employees? I can assure you I will not spend another penny in one of your locations. I have called around trying to locate a district manager or owner but have had no luck so I hope one of them see this! If you want to scream at an employee do it in the privacy of an office not out so all you customers can see it!

2022-03-01First time ordering for home takeout (always pop in for a lunch slice) and they did not disappoint. Just got the cheese pie and it was fresh and hot. Likely wouldnt have done wings but because they do 1/2 dozen sizes I did; glad they do this! Great food and employees at this Eastwood location! (always has been too)

2022-08-12I ordered 2 subs one meatball one steak, the steak I asked for everything but mushrooms. What I got was steak and onions. The meatball was ok. For the cost of the subs should have been correct.

2021-10-23The pizza was fine. We ordered boneless chicken wings - which came looking like the black walnuts the squirrels eat on our deck. Same color, same texture. One piece on 10 cooked properly. One piece burnt so badly you couldnt cut it with a knife. The rest - unappealing. $12. I was too tired to go back to complain. Never again.

2022-05-07The person who took my order over the phone got my order completely wrong & then when I went to go pick it up I told them what I asked for & the same person was rude to me & then gave themselves a $5 tip off my card, I wouldn’t even give a dime to them with that type of service
