I had a wonderful moving experience with Orion Moving company this morning. We were doing a local move for a 1b1b apartment. They got there 8:30 am, counted our items, made sure the contract is mutually agreed and considered the move starts at 9am! They assigned us 3 movers, all professional, friendly and very efficient. They had really good tools to make the moving smoothly and efficiently. All stuff were packed within an hour and the whole moving took less than 4 hours.You can choose hourly rate $155/hour or you can get a flat fee quote. The difference is that if you want to do flat fee, make sure you have them know your list in advanced and notify them if you want to make change.I talked to four different other movers in yelp and I finally pick Orion Moving because the fee is reasonable and I had no problem communicating with them. Some movers sent me this long list of terms with quote and I noticed they charged you extra packing materials. If you want to estimate it, I dont think it worths the try since Orion Moving already provides all these protecting packing materials free!I highly recommend their service and please you deserve to get the pro help!!
Orion is an absolutely excellent moving company to work with. I cant imagine any way that my move could have gone more smoothly. These guys are all hard working and a joy to work with. Margott, the office manager was wonderful to work with- she is very kind and thorough in guiding you through the moving process. The day of the move,, George and his team arrived on time and were ready to work right from the start. They were all kind to my family, courteous to my neighbors, and very professional. We started with a huddle, where I walked them through each room and outlined what I needed to have done. They did exactly as I requested, better even. They were great at asking questions when they needed clarity. Mine was an out of state move, so I was stressed, but this team definitely gave me one less thing to be stressed about. Id say that they overdelivered on expectations - their pricing is better than their competitors pricing and they were incredible to work with. I HIGHLY recommend Orion Moving company.
Great movers. Packing was organized and excellent. They were on time and efficient. They helped make a stressful situation (nyc move!) more bearable and I always felt like everything was under control. Would definitely recommend and use Orion movers again.
I need to begin by saying that I am 3 weeks late with writing this review...My first exposure to Orion Moving was with Margott who was amazing! She was patient and attentive during our FaceTime walkthrough for the estimate/quote. She asked a lot of clarifying questions which was great. She was extremely flexible and helpful when it came to the confusion with my new building providing the necessary requirements for the COI. Moving day came and Georgi called me an hour before he and his crew arrived. Once they showed up, they got down to business and packed everything with the perfect balance of efficiency and care. I wholeheartedly recommend Orion Moving, because they - especially, Margott and Georgi - were a pleasure to work with! Orion is a high-quality moving company without the crazy exorbitant pricing.
Paata and his crew moved me in Manhattan today (tricky move with winding basement staircase) and it went so smoothly! They were very careful with my things and were punctual, nice and efficient. I heartily recommend Orion. They were pros from start to finish!

I used Orion movers last month to move across boroughs. This moving company is great. The window for them to show up was between 9am and 10am, they showed up at 8:57am. Once inside, I don’t think it took more than a half hour for them to empty out the furniture from my room onto the truck. They were so fast and so professional. I’d recommend them in a heartbeat!

These movers are the best — prompt, efficient, and cheerful despite dealing with my fifth-floor walk-up apartment. Two things stood out. First, I had not been able to catch my cat beforehand and was terrified that she might be injured or escape. The movers were very watchful about her. Second, I have a large brick from my grandparents’ house (demolished several years ago) and a rock on which my father wrote out the Ten Commandments because of its suggestive shape. I thought they would be too heavy to box and was worried the mover wouldn’t want to deal with them, but when I explained how precious both these items were to me they understood completely and wrapped them together in a blanket. I would recommend Orion movers in a heartbeat.
Dave and his crew were friendly, easy to work with, and professional. Got all our stuff into our apartment on exactly the timeline they promised and even helped roll out our rugs and get our furniture in place. Would definitely use again!

I am pleased with their service, not only because they did a good job but because David and his team were respectful, kind and easy to deal with.Regarding the job: they came on time -actually a little bit early but they waited until the agreed time (and little bit more, our fault ;) )- and as soon as they started working we didnt had to do anything, they took care of everything on both buildings (they navigated the new building better than me and even helped me discarding some used boxes). I think you cant have a move easier than that.Another positive point is that we miscalculated the amount of boxes that we will need and in the end we ended up with a handful of more boxes than agreed but they honored the initial price, cool.If I need to move again I will be contacting them because I know that I will be doing business with nice, professional and hard working people.

The best movers Ive ever used hands down. Showed up ahead of time and completed the job early. Thomas explained the bill clearly ahead of time and for a much cheaper price than any other company quoted. I will definitely use them again

Best moving Services! I moved from brooklyn to lower manhattan! 2 Bedroom apartment. One of the most stress-free moves of my life! I used Orion Moving at the end of last month to move to Cobble Hill. Not only were they super professional and fun to work with, there were no hidden costs, which has not been my experience with most other moving companies. They moved my music studio with care and were extra thoughtful with my equipment.
David and his team went above and beyond and were so accommodating to my girlfriend and I on our move this past weekend. Its only my second experience hiring movers but one that would be hard to top. Coordinating with Thomas went well in the mix of getting over 10 different quotes. They really made me feel like I made the right choice.

2022-01-24Orian moving was recommended to us by a friend and we were delighted with the service. The initial consultation was done quickly and over FaceTime and the company was responsive and fair.The move itself was flawless. All the movers were friendly and professional. They were on time respectful of our things and did everything they said they would from start to finish.We were in our precious apartment for 8 years and still they packed us up in half a day and unpacked in a few hours the following the day.We had a great experience from start to finish . Highly recommend and we will 100% use them again when it’s time to move!

2021-12-01This was one of the best experiences i have ever had with a moving company. They showed up exactly on time ,packed everything carefully and beautifully , prices were very reasonable ,everyone in the company was so efficient and responsive and they all were super professional and all 4 guys that moved us were so nice. I had some heavy cartons and furniture and everything arrived to our new home in perfect condition . They also disconnected a wall unit that was very complex, stored it in cartons and crates and put it in our storage room. What a pleasure it was to have such amazing support going through a really traumatic move after so many years. I would definitely use Orion again and will tell all my friends to do the same.

2022-02-04I had difficulty finding a company that would just move a grandfather clock. Professional clock movers are a dying art. But Orion took on my project because they had staff that has experience in moving clocks, antiques, art and other speciality items. They handle the project with the utmost professionalism and care which was important since the clock is a family heirloom and its value to me is priceless. This is a great company, their employees are very helpful, responsive and helpful. I recommend them for both large moves and smaller specialized moves.

2021-02-20David and his team were amazing and professional, our move went very smoothly with no issues. They not only followed COVID moving guidelines (wearing masks, 6ft distance, etc), they excelled in the way they blanket wrapped our large furniture and fragile items - ensuring everything remained safe in transit. The crew was very skilled in maneuvering large items through small corridors and ensured all of our items were brought to the right rooms.The best part was that David and his crew were very nice, friendly, and punctual.We would definitely recommend Orion Moving to our friends and family, Thank you!

2020-11-15What a pleasant experience with Orion Moving from start to finish! I just used them to help me get all the furniture from Staten Island to Brooklyn.I was told that the movers (David and his partner) will be in Staten Island from 9-10 AM. To my surprise, they came at 8:40 AM. I have moved a few times before and usually I would have to wait for movers not the other way around. My stuff was packed but a few items required some extra padding and guys put the blankets on to ensure that my stuff won’t get damaged.The guys didn’t rush and took their time to do things right, even though I agreed on a flat fee.Nothing got damaged in the move. When getting things into the house, the guys were super careful not to damage the furniture or parts of the house.Even after the job was done, David stayed and gave me some pointers how to assemble some of my furniture (they also assemble but I didn’t need them to do it for me).With so many bad moving companies out there, I was very glad I got one of the good ones! These guys have not been in business that long and you could clearly see they care and want to do right by the customer. Their attitude, professionalism and respect were all top notch and in addition to the very competitive price (by the way the final price matched exactly the quote I was given), this made it a great experience.I would totally recommend these guys!Daniel
