This place is simply put a “money grab” initiativeI had Dr. Vekaria who was adequate at best with “ no bedside manner” no followup and typically a staff to match ..... find another Dr and forget Orlin & CohenIt’s almost a year since my surgery and I’m still not right thanks to them . I did all they asked including 15 sessions of physio . I think they simply don’t care
Orlin & Cohen is a great practice and both Doctors I had seen in the past were fantastic. The last doc I saw, not so much. I feel he could have been a little more personable with me. Most of the time, his back was to me looking at the computer while asking me questions. I would definitely go back to the practice, but not schedule an appointment with him.
I have been using Orlin & Cohen for years. Within the last 6 months I have experienced unprofessionalism with staffs. Not sure whats the problem but not the same practice I feel in love with. Dr. Faust n Dr Keefer bedside manners are the best, but if the staff not good it brings them down also. Checkout Nina n Darius are the best and nurse Ann.
I decided to use this office based on my primary doctors referral. I had a 10 am appt. I arrived at 9:45 with all my paperwork filled out. At 10:45 I became concerned as there was only 1 patient called while I was waiting. I asked the receptionist how long a wait I would have and was told the doctor had still not seen his 9:15 or 9:30 appointments yet. I was informed it would be at least an hour or more longer as this doctor worked slow! I was furious as I too have a job and needed to be at work by noon. I allowed 2 hours for my appointment and that was not even close to being enough time. I explained that if this doctor always works slow why not take that into account with making appointments. She informed me she just does what she is told. I took back my co-pay and left as I had to go to work. I am sick and tired of doctors with absolutely no regard for my time as if they are more important than anyone else. Just a disgusting way to treat people. Shame on this practice for their total disregard for their patients. I will never go back.
Outstanding care. Staff and Doctors are professional and knowledgeable. When you enter the office you are greeted by name and wait time is minimal. They listen to your concerns and questions and offer you options of what would be the best approach to you condition. The Doctors speak to you not at you.
Dr Vekaria is very patient in answering all questions and is very thorough. I am very sad that Dr Vekaria is moving to Georgia. The Drs and staff are very freind at Orlin & Cohen. Scheduling is annoying as frequently you wait on hold for 15 - 20 minutes
I’ve been a patient at Orlin & Cohen for 10 years. The staff is amazing! All of them! I’ve never in my life been to a doctor’s office/clinic and had no complaints or issues. I am so very happy I found them. Anyone seeking care through Orlin & Cohen will not be disappointed!!
Dr Faust and the offices in Bohemia, Merrick, and Rockville Center, which i have visited pre/post surgical for my 2nd surgery in 2 yrs have done an amazing job, even thru the covid crisis. Orlin and Cohen HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! DR. Faust.
People like to complain about the wait time at every Drs office. This should never be the case because this level of care is priceless. Im very happy with the level of care that I have received by Dr Fisch he always takes the time to answers all of my concerns even though time is very valuable... the staff members that are working here are top notch good people I hope nothing will change in the future... I highly recommend for your care.
Every single person was courteous pleasant. Troy has an excellent manner and you can tell he is smiling..even under the mask! Tara and her crew work well together and made me feel well.cared for.
Been in pain for.months. Dr. Maniquib took the time to explain why and what the surgery was going to be. Also told me a few risks that may be involved as with any surgery. Keeping my fingers crossed.
My experience was a mixed bag.They took me in on short notice because I was having severe back pain and my new Orthopedist(who i havent even had my first visit with yet) was out on maternity leave .Enough places around to park and was generally easy to find.The two ladies at the front desk were Jekly and Hyde. The lady that helped me almost seemed like she had one foot out of the door for the day since I was a 3pm appointment and the office/front desk closes at 4pm I beleive. Not a good start but I looked past it.I was brought into a room around 3:30 which is quick by any standards. A PA came into see me and I explained to him my long running posture and back issues and the current back pain thats preventing me from doing much throughout the day that prompted my rush visit. I was sure to tell him that my job was physically demanding and I couldnt afford to take time off. He asked if I wanted x-rays which I replied if you think so Im now curious about my bill.The X-ray technician came fast and was very pleasant and got my x-rays done fast.Once I was back in the room I waited approx another 15 minutes for the Dr. Once again this is fast and Im not complaining. The Dr. Eseentially gave me the same exam the PA did and asked the same questions. He looked over my x-rays and explained them to me thoroughly. My problems arised when he started downplaying pain I was having. Its probably just a muscle issue and not spinal. This is great news for me but Im still in pain here and can barely roll out of bed due to stiffness and pain let alone work.This is where my stars go down. You see its weird actually. Since half of Long Island was hooked on painkillers and have switched to raw heroin coupled with strict laws being implemented in NY, doctors are afraid to prescribe any type of actual pain relief. They then overcompensate with other medication. Instead of leaving the doctors office with 5 hydrocodones that would allow me to sleep and work for the next 3 days when hopefully the pain subsides I was prescribed MethylPrednisolone....a steroid with numerous side effects and seemingly zero benefit or relief for my issue. A steroid for arthritis, blood disorders, colitis, nervous system disorders and other things that have absolutely 0 to do with me or the reason I was visiting that office. I was also prescribed 30 Flexeril!!. A muscle relaxer that has to be taken at night because it floors you. I asked what am I supposed to do for when I work which he replied Tylenol.... As a middle aged white Male I already know Im being profiled at a doctors office so there is no asking for something that actually works. He also scheduled physical therapy and a follow up apptThat night I threw the Presnisolone in the trash and took a muscle relaxer and went to sleep. I woke up feeling like a zombie while still being in pain, ate breakfast took an extra strength tylenol and went to work. I left within 30 minutes of being there and am now on my second day of UNPAID time off.Other peoples problems are not everyones problems. People looking for a brief reprieve from pain shouldnt feel like theyre asking for 100 oxycontin. Blue collar workers have it hard and need a little help now and then. I had the physical therapy scheduled. I had the follow up scheduled. I just didnt want to lose two days worth of pay. This is where two stars comes from. Not because it was a bad experience but because my issue wasnt resolved.
This is a great place if you have anything Orthopedic. The doctors are class A. Im a patient of Dr. Faust for about 2 years now. Hes the greatest for back problems Excellent Surgeon....He fixed me up very nice. Im so grateful I really am. Thank you so much. The Rockville Centre office
First surgery was outpatient rotator repair. Full repair with anchor. 3 months PT after surgery, weight lifting with weight 6 months after. Great experience.Planning knee meniscus repair for next month with same group, different physician. Each doctor specializes in one area instead of doing surgeries on 5 different body parts. I highly recommend as a satisfied patient.
With ongoing lower back issues that seemed to be worsening, I called the Rockville Centre office and asked for an appointment with Dr. Robert Fisch - who I had seen about two years prior.I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of scheduling a visit. I went on the website and left my cell number and the asked-for information. I was called by a live person in less than an hour. She efficiently took the presenting problem, the required insurance information and scheduled my appointment for the following week. I arrived at the scheduled time where the desk receptionist pleasantly welcomed me and gave me required paperwork. I was ushered into the examination room less than 5-minutes after completing the required paperwork!Dr. Fisch is an amazing physician with a wonderful examination demeanor. His diagnostic skills are exemplary and were polished and highly competent. I was comfortable throughout. He explained everything throughout the examination including the utility of the x-rays. He explained - in laymans terms - what the diagnosis was and what further treatment would entail, short term as well as the potential long term possibilities.The entire office experience was as pleasant and helpful as it could be. Could not have had a better experience anywhere else. Dr. Vakaria was great, he explained in detail from start to finish. Special thanks to a wonderful nurse, Ashley Kolwizc. The nursing profession needs more nurses like Ashley. She comforted me when I was out of my wits with nervousness. The technicians and the entire staff were all great. You see the team work as soon as you sign in. Thank you Dr. Vakaria and the entire Orlin and Cohen staff.
Dr Fisch was very accommodating I had a wake to go to and I was just getting a shot so I asked if he can give me the shot before he went into the patient that was scheduled before me He said sure and went in and greeted the other patient and came back to me and gave me the shot which only took a few minutes I don’t understand why Orlin and Cohen does not make this a practice when people are there for just a shot A patient should not have to wait a long time just to receive a shot Dr Fisch is the greatest doctor he has patience and explains everything And tries his best to accommodate patients as best as he can
Im a returning patient because Orlin & Cohen has excellent Drs. My only complaint is the calling system. When I want to talk to a nurse I have to press so many different numbers before speaking to the right person other than that they are excellent.
Ive been a patient of Orlin and Cohen for quite some time they did several surgeries on me and have never let me down and have always been there for me whenever needed excellent care and an amazing staff with excellent doctor care I also recently hurt myself and theyve been nothing but compassionate and understanding with all my needs dr. Talton is an amazing doctor I consider him a friend
I went to Orlin & Cohen for shoulder pain due to years of it getting abused with martial arts. I went in and initially got a cortisone shot to help with the pain and then later on got an MRI. When I had my follow up visit to review my MRI results I was told I had a partial rotator cuff tear, bone spurs and biceptal tendonitis. Doctor said no surgery was needed and if I wanted I can go to PT I could. I also asked when I should go back to boxing and the doctor said I could go back whenever and I didnt have to stop. That appointment made me think I needed a second opinion so I took a copy of my MRI to an orthopedic surgeon in Manhattan. The doctor said along with those injuries noted before I also had a SLAP tear and needed surgery. The doctor said when looking at the MRI that the labral tear was noticed immediately before everything else. If I had listened to the first doctor at Orlin & Cohen I wouldve been in pain and possibly injured myself even more.
This was my first visit. My sister recommended them and I’m so glad she did the staff was exceptional and the doctor was patient and kind. Just felt like they really cared about me ! Thanks for the water.Definitely would recommend people to come here.
Broke my shoulder. Was told to get a CAT scan. Was supposed to get an authorization from them in a couple of days. Never heard from them despite calling many times and leaving messages - could not find a live person. A week and a half went by. Im going to another doctor!
One star only because the dr gave me detailed information. But as far as everyone else in the office they get zero stars. From their attitudes to the way they speak to patients to the hours you have to wait to see the dr etc etc. The office manager should be ashamed of the way they run the office. I have been with Dr Cohen since 1990 but unfortunately he retired. I decided to stay with this office since they have my records, but no more. There are plenty of other Drs in the area other than Orlin and Cohen.
I had a terrible experience with Dr. Maniqibwala. He was very mean to me and totally uncaring and unsympathetic to my pain. I asked for a prescription for an MRI of my back but he refused to give it to me. He did NOT examine me at all yet told me I did not need an MRI based on my x-rays. Shouldnt he know as a doctor that an MRI can find things that x-rays cant find?I told him that Im in terrible pain and I want to find out what is causing this pain. He told me that almost nobody has surgery for the middle and upper back so whats the point of finding out the cause of the pain! Im still in shock over how this doctor treated me . This is the first time that I ever wrote a bad review about a doctor so I am not just a complainer.
My doctor is recently partnered with this group. My first experience at the New Woodbury office was awful!!! I had never waited more than 15 minutes for him in his former office, but after arriving promptly @ 11:30 for my appointment, I was still waiting at 1:10. I got my co-payment back and a form to fill out to get my records transferred. I should bill them for my gas & time.. Terrible!!!!
I read all the reviews about the long wait time and was concerned. My experience was very, very different. I was in and out in less than an hour and that was with getting an xray. Everyone there from the front desk to the nurse to the PA, the doctor and the exiting woman was nothing but nice, warm and caring. Highly recommend the rockville center office.
Ive been going to orlin and Cohen for over 12 years. Ive been to 4 of their locations. Cedarhurst, lynbrook, Rockville center, and garden city. Of course I always see the same Doctor. The stafff at every location is so attentive, courteous and patient. So easy to get an appointment. Even though we all know I need a total knee replacement, they are exhausting every Avenue to make sure surgery is the last resort. Thats Dr. Craig Levitz.
My Surgical coordinator Lorraine was a sweetheart she went above and beyond for me if it wasn’t for her, my operation probably would have been rescheduled because she followed up and help me in so many different ways I could never thank her enough.Thank you Lotraine and Jane Gallos for being there , you two are Angels !!

My surgeon had been with a different group and then joined this one. I waited an obscene amount of to me for my appointment, all while in severe pain, and there was barely enough seating for everyone who was waiting !!Said good bye to this doctor after this experience !
Instead of helping me with my pain and figuring out what is wrong with my neck Dr Tarleton told me to look for a different job and refused to write a disability note for me even though I have a 3 level spinal fusion in my neck. He did not do my surgery but I came to him for help to figure out why Im in so much pain since my surgeon couldnt.
Highly recommend Dr. Paci and his staff. Really made every effort to get us in for an immediate appointment. Minimal wait time and fantastic follow up. Went there with my son for a sports injury and Couldn’t be happier.Thanks

It’s nice to see a doctors office that makes appointments with the patients time a priority! My appointment was at 2. I was seen at 2:05 and I was out by 2:45! Thanks to Dr. Cardinale and his staff.

I Got into an accident i was using orlin and Cohen as orthopedic and when it was time to testify on my behalf against the company that hit me they were asking obscene amount of money to show up when my insurance was paying them not saying do it for free but come on im a patient with paying insurance and had one bill left before trial and they sent bill to a lawyer who kept harassing me when I told them case wasnt settle yet smh I will never use them again if you get hurt and want them to testify on your Behalf good luck thank God we settle out of court
This was only the assessment of my knee problem but Stephanie was very professional and thoroughly knowledgeable. She put me at ease, answered my questions and I’m now confident this nagging injury is gonna get fixed

2021-03-16This is by far the worst run medical facility. Its more of an assembly line where they move you along the line and nothing gets done. I visited Dr. Faust on Oct. 20 for extreme back pain, he ordered an MRI. No one ever called me with the results. I called several times with no results, finally I was told I need to make another appointment. I had another appointment on Dec. 15, Dr. Faust looked at me and said you need physical therapy and sent me to the other end of the office for them to tell me that the prescription will be sent to me. All this time I am in tremendous pain and Im consistently getting the run around. There was absolutely no reason for me to see Dr. Faust a second time for him to say...walk to the end of the hall and they will give you a prescription. Nevertheless, I never received the prescription even though I called several times. When I finally got a response I was told that the prescription was now expired and I would need to see Dr. Faust again. I refused to, and was told they will speak to the doctor to see if I can get a new one. I finally received a voicemail from Michelle two weeks later telling me that my new prescription was ready. I called her back less that 1 min after she called and I was unable to reach her. I have since left several messages, I also tried speaking to other departments in the office for assistance. Amanda was extremely rude, every time I tried to ask her not to transfer me because Ive been leaving messages for months, she would cut me off and transfer me anyway. She kept talking over me and dismissing what I had to say. To date March 16 I still cannot get my prescription. I called today and was told by Michelle that my second prescription was also now expired and I would need to make an appointment to see the doctor again. This is the most unprofessional and unethical office that I have ever dealt with, and would advise against ever considering them.

2021-05-07This review has been long over due. Dr.Fisch has been working with me for about 4 or so years now and from the second of meeting him I Immediately felt comfortable and I had a gut feeling I knew i was in good hands.He is very kind, takes the time to explain everything without one ounce of rushing and thoroughly. He is so sweet and very patient on top of amazing bed side manner he is so knowledgeable. He is the type of doctor that will try everything before cutting you open.I saw another doctor after seeing doctor Dr.Fisch in the beginning of my journey because he wasnt available at it time and I was in a lot of pain and that doctor you could tell he is in it for the money. Before I could even finish telling the new doctor what happened and my symptoms. He stopped me and said you need surgery and said let me know when you want to do it and walked out. I was speechless Ive never been tried that way before.It almost felt like I was just another number and I was wasting his time with my small talk when really I was just explaining what happened recently which is what your suppose to do with your doctor.So yes there are a lot of doctors in this company that work like its a factory. But there are also a few hidden gems that talk to you like your family and genuinely care. Dr.Fisch cares so much about you and your health if you have any questions you can contact him anytime.I had a meniscus tear that he surgical repaired and he did a beautiful job! He also did such a good job numbing me during the procedure that I didnt feel any pain and was able to walk out of surgery! That numbing feeling lasted for a year it was great!This company has someone you cant find just anywhere, gentle, kind, patient and knowledgeable. Treasure this man because you wont find someone like him ever again. I always have such an amazing experience everytime I see him and he is my favorite doctor to see out of my doctors I wish I could see him for all my health needs and I always recommend him to all my family and friends 💙

2021-08-20Dr. Faust operated on my mother who couldnt walk. Immediately after surgery she was able to walk and was pain free. Dr. Faust took the time to explain, made her feel comfortable and confident in the decision she made. Dr. Faust bedside manner was five star, he kept in personal contact up until it was surgery time and saw our family immediately after. Thank you Dr.faust from the Fragale family

2020-11-17By far one of the best in Valley Stream 👍.....The Young ladies that deal with running the front counter and office are extremely friendly and they have a great sense of humor. But more importantly the customer service is wonderful from start to finish. They are the only place that I will deal with to get my glasses and exams. I highly recommend them to anyone who wears glasses.

2021-07-16I had a 12:00pm appointment with Dr. Tarleton on 7/16.I arrived at 11:50am I sat in the waiting room until 1:15pm.I asked the person at the desk how much longer and she told me there was still 2 people ahead of me and that the Dr was very behind. I finally left after waiting over 90 minutes.I waited 3 weeks for this appointment and I drove from Babylon to Rockville Center just to waste my time.

2020-08-28I had a great experience the staff was very nice. Clean office plenty of parking. After getting X-rays of my shoulder the doctor advised me to get a cortisone shot I am petrified of needles Dr. Fisch was so comforting and took his time explaining everything and answered all my questions he said it wouldn’t be that bad and over quick he was right I’m glad I listened to him.

Ive never had a problem changing my aplointment or getting an expedited appointment when my health requires that level of care.My physician Dr Fisch is EXCEOTIONAL. ALWAYS patient, kind and thorough with explanations and possible recommendations or solutions to my health care needs.I especially appreciate the extra caution and sensitivity during this season of COVID and all the uncertainties its bringing our way

2017-11-03I had a great experience at the Rockville Centre office. First off the office is BEAUTIFUL, RECENTLY RENOVATED/ UPDATED & CLEAN. My wait time was minimal and medical service was professional. Dr. M was very nice. He listened to my complaints and took his time to explain my treatment plan and answer any questions. During checkout, I had the pleasure of being assisted by Gladys who was very professional and pleasant. I was very pleased with the administrative and medical staff.

2019-09-25I have been dealing with Orlin and Cohen for quite a few years now, the staff is amazing. Always extremely friendly, helpful and professional. I recently had a total hip replacement done by Dr. Vekaria. While I have never had surgery before, Dr. Vekaria was amazing. He answered all my questions and concerns. He explained in great detail what the surgery would entail, and I must say my scar is actually beautiful. The surgery was a success, recovery was a breeze. I would highly recommend Orlin and Cohen to anyone who needs an orthopedic doctor.

2020-01-30Dr Fisch is such a wonderful doctor. He took the time to explain everything about my knee replacement surgery. Everyone in the office are just as nice to every patient that comes there. He is the kindest doctor I know. I wish there were more like him.
