Outback Steakhouse in other cities:
I have been coming here for around 10 years!! here and there you get ok servers. however, my server tonight ANGELA was amazing !!!! She went above and beyond. From seating us when the host stepped away to getting every detail of our dinner correct and the food was so tasty 😋 & very personable which means a lot!!! Thank you Angela & outback team ❤️❤️
This is our go-to place to eat with the family. The food is always good and for the best service, we always make sure to ask for Angie as our server. She is the sweetest, most attentive, and happy server you can ever have. She can turn anyone’s frown upside down! She always makes us feel welcome and my sons love her!
Restaurant was clean and well maintained and we were seated quickly. Brenda was very polite and friendly, and made some great recommendations. The ribs were excellent. My wife got the alice springs chicken, and it was perfectly cooked, not dry or burnt like it used to be.
This was my first time at this location and my experience was nothing short of amazing. The food was delicious and our server Alexis went above and beyond to provide top tier service although they seemed to be short staffed. She was very sweet and attentive. I will be returning just for her!
We had a wonderful dining experience. Our waitress Kerri was attentive and super friendly. It was pretty crowded for a Wednesday night and she had so many tables to take care of, yet still checked in as she was going from table to table. After we just settled in after being seated, she came right over with the bread and took our drink order. And we noticed that it wasnt just us that she was attentive to. As other tables near us were seated, she was just as quick to check in with them. Bringing another table their drinks she smiled as she passed to ask if everything was ok. With so many restaurants on that SI FB page (Where Staten Island Eats) saying that people shouldnt complain for bad service because restaurants/wait staff have been through enough with the pandemic, its nice to get such wonderful service when we do treat ourselves and dine out. Kudos to Kerri 👍
Came to eat with my wife today, and we had such a pleasant experience. Our food was prepared very well and was brought out in a timely manner. Our waitress, Kelsie, made sure to bring everything we asked for a few minutes prior to our food coming out, which we appreciated greatly. Overall a great experience.
Had a wonderful time at Outback, Kerri was my server and she rocked!!! It was my husband’s birthday and she was so attentive to everything we ordered and could not have been more friendly. Thanks for the perfect service and the meal was sumptuous. If you got to Outback please ask for Kerri if you can!!!!!
Haven’t ate in a outback in over 20 years and never went to the Staten Island location. Don’t know what took us so long! The blooming onions and the new fried shrimp in zesty sauce was so good ! I ordered a med rare prime rib and husband had the ribeye. They were cooked perfectly. Sides were excellent. The restaurant was packed and our server Jennifers entire section was fill.. and she never skipped a beat. Drinks were always refilled, dishes cleared, and she checked in on us a few times. Only complaint we had was the restaurant was way to hot. Uncomfortably hot.
This was the best experience at Staten Island Outback me and my Mom have ever had! Our server Jen was phenomenal, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating! We will definitely be back to see her and enjoy some more filet mignon, lobster tails and coconut shrimp! I also highly recommend the strawberry peach sangria recommended to me by Jen herself! Everything was delicious!
Hadnt been to outback since covid. i was pleasantly surprised first with the outstanding service from our waitress Angela McAvoy. she was very pleasant and took care of us, my ex-wife and i with great care and saw that our every need was met. and when the food arrived, it was prompt and the server where careful to remind us of the hot plates. my steak, absolutely perfect, hot and delicious the sides equally as good. our beverages cold and never ending. i will definitely will visit again.
My husband and I came here on Valentine’s Day for a nice dinner . Not only the food was delicious, our waitress “ Jennifer” was better . She was so attentive to our needs . She was sweet, friendly , quick and efficient. And always had a smile on her face . Thank you for a wonderful evening
They offer patio dining right now, which is cute. Our server was friendly and food was yummy. Service was a tad on the slower side but it was nice that they didnt ask us to give up the table when we were waiting for our extra order of food to go. (We gave it up anyway since there was a line of people😉)
Came here after my daughters graduation… one waitress on the whole entire place. Ordered cranberry juice for my daughter…. Stated that I wasn’t ready to order food yet and needed a few minutes. She said “okay” and left. Came back 15 min later with “apple” juice instead of cranberry. I didn’t say anything and she just left. Have been waiting for 30 plus minutes for her to come back and take our order and she never showed up. I just got up and left with my family. Horrible!!!!!! Need more staff !!! Not coming back here
Order a Filet and Shrimp on the Barbie meal. A mostly empty box with 4 pieces of meat and 5-6 shrimp came. No sauce like in the picture, the forgot the sides and delivered it to the address. When we called them, they refused to resend the order. They put us on an endless hold.Terrible on all fronts. Food, customer service, no accountability.
Very disappointed. Ive been eating at Outback for many years and I always like to get the 9 oz filet mignon steak with a lobster tail. They no longer have the 9 oz they only have an 8 oz and a 6 oz now. So I ordered the 8 oz and I couldnt believe the size of the steak. The best comparison I can make is that the steak was the size of a new born babys hand, not to mention that I asked for medium and I got a well done steak. Did I mention. That everyone food was cold and we waited almost 1 hr for the food? I also noticed at the lobster tails are getting smaller and smaller over the years. Maybe its time I start looking for steaks elsewhere. When back yesterday with my family 4-30-22 and I guess Ill just drink water from now on. I asked for a bacardi boozy lemonade, what I got was a lemonade. I asked the waitress to please take it back and have them put more liquor in it cuz they didnt have any and she looked at me in a weird way and then had the nerve to ask me if I want to pay for an extra shot. I told her no I dont want to pay for an extra shot because it has no liquor at all. So again she gives me that weird look take the drink back and brings it back to me the same way. Nothing was ever added. My wife ordered the steak well done and the steak came back medium.
I enjoyed eating here. Theres not much negative things to say about this place. The steak was excellent but it did have alot of fat in it.. they did have this interesting dessert though. It was on a boomerang with chocolate fondue and I must say I enjoyed the presentation but honestly... it was sweet as f@#%. I thought I was going to walk out there with diabetes. But in all I will definitely find my way back to outback
Great atmosphere, the girls serving are a treat, however I think they would benefit from certain employees finding jobs elsewhere… their line/main chef needs to do better in the kitchen. Food can be inconsistent when the chef is unreliable in more ways the one. But great otherwise!!
I visted the Staten Island outback location and let me tell you I had such a amazing time I sat at the bar and had one of the best bartenders Kelly, she was so sweet and very professional and made the trip a great time and the food was amazing everything couldn’t have been better, the manager came over and he made sure every was perfect and it was can’t wait for the next time I come
Nice place to eat dinner, staffs are friendly. Our hostess was very attentive, didnt have 2 wait 2 long for our food I ordered a grilled chicken Ceasar salad which was a nice portion, it was very good, the grilled chicken was very tender and seasoned properly , I ate the whole thing. Also the bread was really good, Im guessing its fresh baked . They take cash or credit. The raspberry iced tea is good too and my kids enjoyed their chicken plater meals. Nice relaxing place, would go again to try a different dish. Thanks for the free blooming onion, quite not what I expected, it tasted really good! Cheers!!TO THE LADY WHO WAS ASKING ABOUT THE GLUTEN FREE ....YES THEY HAVE A WHOLE MENU , PLEASE BE SURE TO ASK YOUR SERVER.I WANTED TO MAKE SURE I HAVE CORRECT INFO BEFORE ANSWERING YOUR QUESTION, AND THEN I COULDNT FIND YOUR QUESTION. SORRY!
Not a good experience I used to work at the outback on 86 st..in 2018 and nothing has changed I felt like I was ignored even though I sat at the bar ordered over $100 worth if food but had to beg for a fork and spoon ppl were sitting right next to me and got great service MAYBE BECAUSE IM BLACK all I know is they two customers had to tell them I needed a fork and spoon because I got tired of asking NEVER AGAIN WILL U GO BACK TO OUTBACK ON 85TH STREET IN BROOKLYN EVER KEEP IN MIND I WAS THE ONLY NBLACK PERSON AT THE BAR NATALIA MARVIS WILL FOREVER BE RACIST IN MY BOOK I FELT IT WORKIN THERE AND STILL DO WAT A SHAME
Last summer I fell love with their Strawberry diaqury $3.50 vs alcoholic version of the drink $8.75 ( no refills lol) I just wish they had more than one flavor option.Recent years they been having regular running deals, besides their blooming Mondays. But for those that frequently dines at Outback; its usually best to score extras from their gift card sale offers and then dine here after joining their dine rewards program online and just lay in the promotional discounts for the most bang out your buck.Service can be a little slow, cause theyre busy and typically short staffed. But if youre a frequent customer, you already know that lol. A great place to be a loner when theyre busy..hahaAnd if youre new to Outback, youll be hooked on their complimentary freshly baked bread and butter in no time.I used to always come here for their ribeye steaks, but that was until I fell for their slow roasted prime rib; You have to ask the server where the prime rib is cooked at for the availability of medium rare, in case they only have medium well (just as an example)If you eat here alone, they will always ask if you want to be seated by the bar; which is your typical high chair and sticky bar counter (not a fan of that) so Ive been asking for a table for a more enjoyable and comfortable dinning experience.
The staff was very pleasant and professional. We had been greeted promptly and the manager/owner Steve even came over to introduce himself just to make sure we were enjoying our dining experience. I normally am not one to write a review, but the service and the dining experience was top notch.
Just want to say Thank you to the frontlines, I love this restaurant and i miss the place so much and the people that works here. Thank you to Victor one of the manager always taking care of everyone that comes in specially in this time of needs we are right now, food as usual great, sad part that I had to do pick, always love to dine here at least 2 times a wk, but we will be back soon God willing .....keep up the good work and thank you.
Management should do their job and manage the place. We sat outside, the customers next to us left and there table and the table next to that sat with dirty plates and food on it for the whole time we were there. Our waiter didnt even have a clue about the menu! Mind you we go out to eat 5 times a week to nice restaurants but this night I wanted to stay close to home, should not have done that. I ordered the filet mignon and shrimp, very dry, waiter never came around, will never go back.
I was in your restaurant the other night and had a wonderful experinece with jackie your bartender foof was amazing service was even better, drinks were amazing i has the gingerbread martini snd it was beautiful and delicous, I kove thid location thank you for a great night
If i could give it a -1 i would 50 min wait 2 hours to get our food cold i get there busy but there not taking reservations.almost 3 hours just to get food..bloomung onion which i love was burnt but not cook weird hun...it wasnt worth it.....i am very unhappy and i go often so to have this kind of things happen.is unreal.the 1 drink i had was refreshing thank god
Small order, Friday night, I knew it would be a while. The staff person was very clear, very busy and literally running between kitchen, takeout area and curbside. He knew each persons name and updated you. I was impressed with how he handled the workload and remain so efficient and polite. Later I found there was a snag in my order, but that was from kitchen end not him.
One star for food, and one star for the waiter & waitress. First of all, I would like to say the food was great, and the waiter who served us was great. However, we were assigned to a table right by the RESTROOM, the smell was awful without a doubt. Why would any paying customers in any restaurants, I mean ANY would enjoy steaks with the stinky smell that is coming from the restroom??? Seriously??? We requested to switch a table, and we stated that we were willing to wait. When the waiter informed the manager in white clothing, I assume it was a manager or someone who assigns the table? The person got upset and saying out loud, I already told them there is no table! I mean hello? You know we can hear you right? And we were standing literally 2 meters away from you??? I said to her right away, We can wait, and its smelly over here. She then turned around and left. The waiter eventually switched the table for us. Again, the food and waiter & waitress were great, but the attitude from the other person was unacceptable. You dont speak to your customers like that, respect should be mutual!!!!!!!!
This place used to be good, but I would bet my left arm they changed the chef.Every single thing is over salted, extremely over salty food. And this is coming from someone who always puts extra seasoning on things.Steak was dry, shrimp grilled to charcoal, underseasoned, bland rice. We had to wait 30 minutes for seltzer!! Seltzer!!! They had to mine it in the Adirondacks or what? This place used to be lit couple years back. Their Alice chicken and carrot cake would make anyone fall in love instantly. But now its barely edible. NOTHING is the same as in the pictures both presentation, quantity and taste wise. If you so order, get something simple so they cant mess it up like a burger. To be fair, they still have pretty good appetizers, but this over salty seasoning is gotta stop. This is a walking health hazard.
Service was bad. waited so long in between orders, drinks are a big No. we used to come just for Margaritas just because it was so good. We Had a 40 min wait for a table yet the place was empty. Food was overcooked and not the quality they used to have, portions became smaller. Very disappointed. Not going there again.
I was mostly satisfied with everything I ate. The bread was delicious, the wings were very good. I was disappointed in the chicken tenders and fries. The fries were good but it could be a bit hotter. Once I eat at my house it gets soggy and I only live like 7 minutes away. The chicken tenders were very disappointing. I’m not sure if they changed the chicken but it tasted different and I hated it. The original tasted much better and crispier. Especially with the honey mustard yum. Outback please bring the old ones back!! It was my favorite thing to eat. I don’t even want to order here anymore. I’m really upset.
Bad service. Ok/bad food. Probably understaffed that night... but was told 40 minute wait. Ended up being 70 minutes. Drinks came after food. Steak was overcooked and very salty. Mac was salty. One drink (strawberry kiwi) tasted like pure sugar. Won’t be back for another 8 years.
One star is too much. I called to see if I could get a reservation for a party of 4. After listening to a recording I pressed the correct number to speak to a host. A man by the name of Dominic answered and said he would pass me thru to a host. The number I originally pressed WAS for a host. After being put on hold for 10 minutes I hung up. I then called back to speak to the manager. The manager said he would pass me thru to the host on his direct line. AGAIN Dominic answered. He first denied that a host did not answer me. Complete frustrated I hung up. If the service is this bad I can only imagine how the food is.
First time dining-in since the beginning of Covid. The service was absolutely amazing. Of course I couldnt just order straight from the menu, I had to have extra this and add that. But our Outbacktress (yes i made that up) saw my vision in what I wanted to order and executed 110%. Special Thanks To Gina!!! We will be looking for you next time we come. And Thanks to Victor for checking on us and making us feel at home.
I came by last week with friends for a quick late night dinner. Outback is a good restaurant to count on for tasty food without it being all that expensive. You know exactly what to expect. What I didnt expect was the new manager theyve hired, Victor. I guess havent been in the longest while and I was surprised when the manager came to talk to us. I understand its courtesy and all. In other restaurant, its felt all very standard. But with this new manager, I could really feel he was trying to make a connection with us that went beyond a standard greeting. He seems to be very personable and friendly. Made the difference on the typical night out in Outback.
I came in tonight Thursday right away I was greeted with a smile and a welcome , the waitress Jackie took exceptional care of us I ordered a down under mule which was so good I had to get two more , for dinner I got the sampler appetizer which included blooming onion petals French fries and cheese curds they were so good ! For my main dish I ordered ahi tuna and I must say it was the best I’ve had thus far ! My daughter ordered a steak and she can’t stop talking about how delicious it was! My over all experience was amazing from service to food 5/5 we will definitely be coming back ! Thank you so much
Last night my husband and I went to outback for the steak and lobster special. The steak was cooked perfectly. Our server Sam was very sweet and attentive. The manager Brenda came over to check on us, she was also very friendly. Awesome service! It’s definitely improved over the years!
Service was OK but certainly not brilliant. Food was definitely hot but also very salty. Whilst as a family we enjoyed the food, and the prices were reasonable, we noted that most food had a warning for either high salt content or high calories. One of the desserts had had over 1000 calories. This restaurant could definitely get better ratings if it improved service, especially the greeting staff, and reduced the amount of salt on the food
My friend and I had a great time and the food was delicious! The bread is always warm, soft, and delicious. My friend loved her steak (6oz) with her crisp asparagus, & baked potato. My Babyback ribs and grilled chicken breast is always the best. When planning to dine here, you have to save your appetite for an appetizer, entree, & dessert. Four Thumbs Up!!!
My wife and I came in last night for dinner. There was a decent wait but that’s to be expected on a Saturday night however, we were seated before our expected wait time which was nice. Our waitress Emily was very sweet and attentive. The manager brenda stopped by to check on us which I thought was really nice especially for it being a busy night.
The servers were nice, but the service was very poor. Steak was under cooked.. never got my appetizer until my food arrived, steaks came with no steak sauce, macaroni was barely warm.. Cant say I will be going back. They were busy so maybe my experience was an isolated incident.
Will never eat there again . Go there about once a month . Waitress was kind and did best she could . She was attending to six tables and tending bar . My lobster and steak were warm . String beans were not strained properly so all food was soaked on bottom. Sad but ALL honest and accurate . Sent email to corporate never had courtesy to respond . With all places to eat in Staten Island will give my business to other restaurants .
Usually this place is great. The past 2 times that I been there with my family the restaurant had very dirty floors. Staff was very slow. I basically had no service at my table. The food took a very long time to be delivered to my table. The ribeye steak that I ordered was very dry and well done (I ordered it medium). They bought me another steak and the manager actually saw how dry it was and decided to not charge me for the steak. Also I had to beach for the pumpernickel bread to be served to me. What’s going on with this place. This was my favorite Sad but I’ll never go there again
The outback in Staten Island is not the same as it once was. Service is terrible. Takes about 20 minutes to even see your waitress walk by. Table was never cleared as it should be once finished eating, steaks did not come as we ordered. Medium rare here is well done to them. It’s not even packed out and it took 25 minutes to get seated. I don’t blame the waiters and waitresses. I blame management for not training them the correct way and for not being more strict. Also smells like a dump outside of the restaurant. Sorry hate to give bad reviews and usually do not even go out of my way to give reviews but this was a bad one. No more outback for me until they get things right.
I waited 30 min for online order. They said they will bring it to your car. They never did. Food was luke warm paid $12 for 6 tiny shrimp and a burnt piece of bread. The pumpernickel bread was cold in a bag. I will not patronize outback on Marsh Ave in staten island NY again. think I gave it too many stars 🌟. Your restaurant is disgusting. I wish I could retrieve the food out of the garbage so I can post a picture.
Standing outside of an outback on staten island after being turned down. It was too late to be seated and its a half hour wait and we close at 11 the hostess said. Since then I watched a couple be seated, another couple being turned down and then a large table be accepted after two hostess walked away to check if it was ok. So what is the criteria to get a table here? What made us and the third couple not ok but the second and the table of 5 ok? Update.. 15 minutes later and they accepted a table of 3 young women.
My wife and I came here today to have lunch and were seated quickly but waited over 15 minutes and no server ever came to our table. The waitress went to the table behind us, another family came in next to us and she went to them but never came to our table to even take our drink orders. We asked the host when he passed by if there was a server for our table and he said no one has come? Ill get someone. We waited a few more minutes and nothing. So we walked out. The same host saw us walking to the front and looked away. Not even the slightest concern that we were leaving. This isnt how you treat your customers.
Great service. I was there with my girlfriend and as soon as we got to the table we waited maybe 5 mins to be attended. The waitress was very attentive, we got our food with in a reasonable of time and the flavour of on point. If you like eating meat, this is the best place in Staten Island. To me what made this experience memorable was the staff
I ordered a medium well steak without seasoning and I received a well done overly seasoned steak. The Mac and cheese is not what it used to be and the waiters sometimes ignored me and my grandmother I was out to lunch with when we needed someone. I reordered my food and by the time it came I was starving and had filled up on french fries for dinner. Its definitely gone downhill. The best part of the meal was the bread.
Went with my Son. Daughter in law, 3yr old grand daughter. Was around 3 pm on a Saturday. No wait to be seated. And not crowded. However. For an hour, all we had on the table was a side salad, a blooming onion and 30 minutes later bread. I ordered mash potatoes and they told me after an hour they would be 25 minutes longer. 1/2 rack ribs was 4 tiny ribs. Wait staff was good. But the kitchen! Maybe the prep chef was out! To long waiting for our food.
Food good. Our waitress Alexis was attentive. One thing I appreciated is that, unlike some chains, she brought all our orders out herself. (In some places it seems the nearest server grabs your order and delivers it. If something is not right you will often have to wait for the original server to come back.)
My server was Briana M she is an excellent server she didnt write anything down and she was handling more than one table at once. She got everyones order exactly correct. The food was excellent. And I spoke to one of the managers named Victor Corredor . He came over and was very helpful and trying to help me with my Dine Rewards. I would definitely go back to eat again.
I decided to go here for my friends birthday. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed theyre food. My mom and I had the aussie springs chicken. It was absolutely delicious. It had cheese, bacon and mushrooms on it. The seasoning was beyond words. Really bursting with flavor. My other friend had mild chicken wings and were also very flavorful. For desert we got the cookie with ice cream and caramel. This was one of the best deserts Ive had in a long time. Will definitely be going here again
Ordered takeout this past Tuesday. My order was a bone-in ribeye. It was all nerve and fat, and inedible. Spent $180.00 for a family meal for six people. Not only was my steak inedible, my son’s was all fat, bloomin onion was cold, & delivery took 90 minutes. Last time I order from Outback. Boy have they slipped!
Natalia the proprietor is one of the nicest people I’ve met in some time, she generally cares about her people and runs her restaurant the right way. I would never think twice about dining at her location. Rest assured she has it covered. Thanks for your sweet smile and for your passion of your restaurant! Your inner brightness will be the foundation of an amazing career
Chain restaurant by the Staten Island Mall. Still love that blooming onion after all these years. And obviously so do alot of people because its still packed with a waiting line on weekends. The food is tasty and always cooked just right. All the servers and runners are polite, helpful and fast. Never had a bad experience here.
The outback steakhouse is a chain restaurant on Staten Island. I ordered their porterhouse steak and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare, it was extremely flavorful and juicy. The service was friendly and accommodating to my allergy needs. The selection of appetizers is vast and paired well with my steak
I used to be an outback fan, but the past few orders have been worse. My order on Uber eats the sandwich bread was inedible and fries are soggy. Also my other order was a pickup was taking over an hour, and when I went they said they will bring it back and it was another 30min and no one showed up. I really had high hopes but not sure anymore
This was a terrible experience. The appetizer came out while we were eating our salads and then the waiter informed us that he was bringing our steaks so they wouldnt get cold. Everything at once. Mistakes happen and are excusable. However, I asked the waiter before I ordered how the porterhouse steak was and he said they were great. It was very fatty so I asked him why when the check came. He then said that the lot they got was very fatty and that management knew about it. Normally I would have called for a manager at this point but my wife had a long day and was tired. Its a little over a week later and it still bothers me. It is disgraceful. I wish that I had called over the management or cut into the waiters tip. Anyway with management like that in charge, bad cuts of beef, and questionable staff I figured others should know.
Excellent place to sit down and eat next to the Staten Island Mall. Our server was fantastic, knowledgeable, prompt, and professional. The only thing is as were leaving we noticed a long wait. Best to download the app and save a table ahead of time, finish up at the mall, and enjoy a fantastic meal.
Awful service during their lunch hour. In total, there were four parties waiting for the hostess to appear and be seated. Clearly, there were many tables available but no hostess. After 45 minutes of waiting, we asked for our food to be packed up. We then realized that we were missing food that we had ordered and paid for. We will sure not be returning to this restaurant again and I do not recommend it to anyone. There was clearly a lack of staff and poor service.
Service is slow even when the place is normal to empty. I actually got food poisoning from steak quesadillas. I mean who gets sick from that? It’s almost impossible to mess that up but they found a way. When I looked at my “steak” inside of it it was all fat trimmings. I mean gross on so many levels. Blooming onion was burnt. I mean just so much wrong. My daughters chicken tenders were pink she didn’t even touch them. Most of the food we ordered was left behind. The only good thing was my husbands ribs. Anyways avoid this place.
This use to be one of my favorite restaurants for years. I cant say that now, food is average. My server is nice but clueless with the choice of menu. Not happy they got my order wrong. Perhaps management change? The place has a run down feel, the entire floor feels sticky when you walk on them, not to mention the bathroom floor is slippery even when I am wearing sneakers. Kind of disgust walking on a sticky floor & dirty bathroom. Not recommended to anyone if you care about the cleaniness of your surrounding.
Went on a Thursday around 5 p.m. Our waiter, Brenton, was excellent! I had the 6 oz. filet mignon, the macaroni and cheese and a lettuce wedge with bacon bits, blue cheese dressing with a balsamic reduction sauce. The food was fresh, delicious and came out quickly! I will definitely go back again 😊
Everything that was considered great and appealing has been lost in the last 10 to 15 years. Outback Steakhouse, once rife with large servings and reasonable prices have now lost their appeal and instead of being just one in a million there just one of a million. Their prices have gone up and the quality of the food has gone down, as well as the serving sizes. I get that we have moved forward to being more consciously healthier society, lets face it, we go out because we want to revel in excess and Outback no longer offers that.
Hands-down the best French onion soup you’ll find on Staten Island and this Outback is right next to Panera bread which is saying something. My waitress Gabby was such a sweetheart if you have the option to request her as your waitress I highly recommend her... She was attentive and nice but not overbearing. I have been coming to Outback for years and this location has always been my favorite. 10/10
Very disappointed. My husband ordered his steak well done and it literally came out rare and so did my sons kids meal steak. They both couldnt even eat it and all our sides were cold. The waitress was very nice tho and took off my sons meal and our appetizer which just so happened to be cold and gross as well. Never again.
The restaurant was presentable. We were 7 people and a baby. We had blooming onion and ausie fries they were ok. I had potato soup which was warn only. I had a steak and shrimp. Asked for my steak to be cooked rare and it came out of the kitchen being medium. The shrimps were kind of small and they were over cooked. Our server was not very friendly. If you like steak dont go to the outback steakhouse go to long horn instead.
My experience at outback was amazing! My server Ann was such a nice and helpful person. On top of everything. The manager victor was a sweetheart, made sure our experience was fantastic. And our hostess yosadara was such a nice girl the moment we walked in until the moment we walked out. The team explained all of their specials and let me tell you- the ruby mango lemonade was soo delicious!!! Highly recommend outback in Staten Island.
One of the worst experiences Ive ever had here. First of all there were 4 tables opened that I could see and no one waiting but one person. But was told to have a seat it would be about 15 minutes. Was finally seated with no napkin or utensils. It took a long time for our waitress to take drink order. Then when the drinks came we had no napkins or coasters. My drink was over flowing so it was all over the table. We had to ask another waiter for napkins. We had to go to the front to get our utensils and napkin. She took our order but put it in wrong she said so it took longer. When I got my meal it was still wrong. I was missing g vegetables and my husband got cold chicken with his Cobb salad. She never asked if we wanted another drink or even water. Im sorry but we will never go there again. Oh almost forgot when they cleaned the other tables they just swiped it to the floor. We are done!!
Sat their for 15 minutes in an area where there was only 2 other families eating and not one waitress/ waiter/ janitor came over to me and my wife and even suggested taking our beverage order. Both waitresses past us numerous times and delivered food to the other tables. I have never experienced this before. This place has hit the bottom of the barrel according to me. So myself and my wife pleasantly got up approached the maitre d and calmly said not to offend her “ We would have loved to dine here tonight but 15 minutes to be ignored is totally unacceptable” Her apology meant nothing. Not even a gesture to call the manager. We walked out totally disgusted. I will be sharing this with the local newspaper, and every dining guide in New York. Thank you lazy waitresses and poor management. This place is the PITS.
Well, it was my first time eating at an outback steakhouse and I was a little disappointed. My wife had wanted me to go just so I could try the blooming onion(I know Im probably the last person on earth who hasnt had it before) but we went also for an early dinner. I had ordered the salmon which I wish k could give a positive review but its was overcooked and incredibly salty, like usually dinner is a one drink affair, but this I was chugging Down several sodas just to get the saltiness out of my mouth, it was the same way with the steak which my wife ordered. So in short the food was meh the service was decent, but things could be a lot better.
First of all when we got there we waited 20 minutes to get our orders taken, another 20 for the drinks to arrive, and then another 1.5 hrs for the food to come out. Although it was extremely crowded when we began our unfortunate Outback experience by the time we received our food the place was practically vacant. This is all understandable and not why I rated outback one star because I get how it is to work short which may have been the case, however, I ordered a shrimp Cobb salad and coconut shrimp. My salad arrived and the shrimp was actually limp and raw as if the “chef” didn’t even bother to cook it. Then my friends streak arrived and it was supposed to be cooked medium but looked more like a tar tar and was practically mooing. My friends chicken tenders were pink and he got sick all night from them. The waitress forgot my coconut shrimp and I regret asking but was so hungry from not being able to eat the salad I thought maybe the “chef” might actually put an effort into it as it is fried and therefore must be at least a little cooked. I was wrong the shrimp were just as raw as the one in the salad. I will NEVER eat here again and will only recommend this place to 1. Those who enjoy food poisoning and 2. A visit from the department of health. I am amazed how a well known establishment can get away with such laziness to the point of putting people’s health at risk. Staten Island outback you should be ashamed of yourselves.
Food was okay... Service not so much. I gave two stars because the food was edible. No utensils were given, no napkins, and the server was not available until after the entrees were brought out. We ate our appitizers with our hands... And had nothing to wipe our hands with until the entrees were brought out. Our server was Gina who put some effort into being nice but as the night went on her service went down too. We were ordering dessert... She walked away after only one of us gave our order and was not available again until the order was brought out. We said we werent done and asked for another dessert order and we were served with attitude. We asked if they were closing soon around 8.20pm (thinking the attitude was related to that) and she said yea, at 9. I cant put into words how bad we felt being rushed out when the place wasnt closing for another 30 minutes. The experience was bad enough for me to take the time to post a review! This my first time here and it will be my last too! Only because the service was bad!
Great food. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They are knowledgeable of the menu and clearly try to pair your sides with that mail course if you ask. The food was cooked wonderfully. The restrooms were are clean. Many props for that. Overall the experience was wonderful.
The service was superb and so was the steak. I give 4 stars for 2 reasons. The first being that the mixed vegetables were disappointing. Green and yellow zucchini sprinkled with undercooked carrots is in no way mixed vegetables. The second reason was that the Aussie fries, which were cooked perfectly, were made soggy from sitting in the over abundance of zucchini juice on the plate.
As soon as you walk in the vestibule stinks like mildew. Sat down and the table next to us was filthy with dirty dishes from previous patrons. Not cleaned off the entire time we are there. Then realized the smell of a dirty rag (mildew) was also in the restaurant but not as potent as the vestibule. We heard other people around us talking about it too.My kid needs to use the bathroom so we take her. Bathroom is totally filthy. Toilet tissue and urine every where. Ive seen cleaner gas station bathrooms. The waiter was a total dunce. Didnt clear the table at all after each setting. Eventually there was no more room left for food and we had to tell him to take these empty dirty plates away. A plus was the food was very good when it did come. But overall disgusting experience and well never go back.
When you go to Outback, ask to be seated in GINAS section. Best service Ive had on the Island in a LONG time. She was courteous, helpful, made great suggestions, and made us laugh a whole bunch. Happily looking forward to coming back to this Outback and being served by Gina!
Waitress very nice.On duty manager very nice.Cook on duty needs more training...well done steak served raw thenYou recooked a piece that was attempted to be chewed and spit out and placed it on the recooked steak like a cherry on top...?...really...?!?12/13/2018 4:45pm
I dont usually go to chain restaurants very often but my wife and I had just finished shopping at the mall so we were looking for something nice and filling nearby. We went into Outback Steakhouse. It was a busy Saturday night and we were told that we had to wait to be seated. 20 minuted didnt seem too long to us so we waited. After waiting about 15 minutes we were sat in a booth near the bar. We were greeted by our server Angela within a couple of minutes and after we got our drinks, we ordered the Bloomin Onion which came out pretty quickly, then we ordered our entrees. I ordered a burger and my wife ordered a filet mignon steak. We finished the onion and the entrees were nice and hot when they came out. Everything tasted great and it was overall a great experience. Will be coming back soon.
We had to ask 3 times for bread which finally came after our appetizers and we asked the manager. Appetizers came about 5 minutes before plates and forks. Meal took forever to come. The restaurant had no ice cream for the deserts. The waiter and the manager were clueless.
We order at 5:50pm and got a confirmation saying we would recieve our order by 6:38 the latest. At 6:58 i called and they told me the driver was doing another dilevery and my food wasnt even on the way. At 7:13 i got a text saying my oder was on the way i live less than 2 miles away and i didnt get my order until 7:35. The bread requested and the three sides we paid for were missing. The food was also ridiculously cold. I called AGIAN and was told they would re delivier it. At 8:30 we got the three sides but the bread. Obviously we wont be eating that as it took 1 hour to make brocoli and a side of mac n cheese to drive it less than 10 min away. Worse experience ever ans extremely pricey.

2022-06-21This was my first time going to outback.I have mixed feelings. My pasta was dry and had a lot of hard sticky pasta. But the chicken was very good. And so was the Shrimp. The blooming onion was burnt and not enjoyable. The French onion soup was very good. the steak cheese dip was very delicious but very little portion and the chips were overcooked too , very hard. BUT, that Brownie with the ice cream was the best ive ever had! Melts in your mouth. ALSO, EVERYTHIIING IS EXTREMELY SALTY!!!!!Would go back only for dessert.

2022-02-06I went to dinner with my family at outback & it was super busy. My server, Tiara, went above and beyond to make sure that we had a great dinner. She was the sweetest person and had great recommendations on what to order. The food was great, but the service was even better. I for sure will be coming back!

2022-02-08The staff here was very polite and kind. My waitress, Angela, was one of the best waitresses I ever had. She had a bright smile and very positive attitude the whole time she served us and was very outgoing. My friend and I asked her for recommendations and she recommended the grilled shrimp on the Barbie and it was phenomenal!

2022-02-07My wife and son and I came out tonight and it was nice to see the restaurant busy. We got everything just on time. Our server was adorable she told us her name but I just can’t remember it. She had a lot of tattoos and wore glasses. She was very accommodating I almost felt bad seeing her carry all that food. We are looking forward to coming back soon!

2022-05-26We had a lovely evening, delicious food and wonderful service from Kerri! She went out of her way to check on the availability of an item I wanted to order so we didn’t hold up our whole party of 8. She acquiesced to any request quickly and accurately. We appreciated it and we’ll be back.
