Outback Steakhouse in other cities:
The servers, managers, and bartenders at this location are so incredible and friendly. I come here often and I always feel so welcome. Lately however, it’s been almost unbearable coming to this location because the air conditioning has been out for about a month or so and it’s uncomfortably hot and humid inside. I just hope this gets resolved soon so I can continue enjoying my favorite local spot!
Worst service here. I came here today at 4 pm and there was one waitress for the whole place. I have to get up 5 times to ask for something. I spoke with the Manager and I told him I used to run restaurants and nightclubs and that he needs more staff—how can you serve the whole place with one waitress but talking with him made me felt even worse. Otherwise I would not have posted this so others can be aware. Never again will go back there. Not worth the money you spend. I ordered the ribeye and it’s not cheap
Went here for Veterans Day, my dad is a Vietnam Vet, his request. The staff and everyone we came in contact with was so accommodating and service was exceptional. Food was delicious and we all enjoyed. Dad was so proud and happy to be there with his family and be thanked and waited on. Made him feel special. Thank you to the staff, it meant a lot to him and us. 🇺🇸
I came on a weekend and too many people with large groups came for dinner. My waiter gave more attention to them rather than tables with less guests. I know big groups give more tip but should not leave smaller groups unattended. The waiter took our order and then never returned until food was ready. Could not get refills on drinks because waiter never came back to check in and I wasnt going to ask someone else to find my waiter.
We got to outback in Westbury at about 8 pm, at which point we had a 45 minute wait for our table. (One thing I liked is that they text you when your table is ready but you have to go immediately or youll find yourself waiting for another empty table). Upon us getting our table our server Chris was very prompt and friendly, he gave us time to decide and didnt rush us at all. We placed our orders and proceeded to have a great dinner. Chris was very attentive and took care of us really well. All in all exemplary service from our server. I would recommend that you try this location, I had a wonderful time.
The food was really good the service wasn’t that great! Nobody came to check on us during the meal and i was missing food from my plate! And they took a very very long time to take the check which lead us to pay at the front although the restaurant wasn’t that busy that day!
Westburys Outback! What a cool neighborhood vibe. Whether youre with family or solo at the bar. You always have a fantastic time here. Westbury Outback offers great loyalty programs and Military discounts. Pick your favorite drink and order some food. I love thir Aussie cheese fries with EXTRA bacon. At the bar, Daves, such a knowledgeable mixologist. You should try his incredibly refreshing Special Mule. The owner Frank is a really nice guy. Hes here on the weekends and says Hi to everyone. I feel like part of the family when I come to Outback. When I just want to relax with no rules, its Outbacks allright. Well see you all at the bar.
I go here once or twice a year either May 27th or my friends birthday September 18th, it became our place about 4 years ago and we have gone many times ever since.I had my first legal drink here and its my go to.The food is always amazing and the service is super pleasant and quick.Never had a bad experience and will always be coming back. Thank you so much!
Super accommodating to our needs, when my steak came out and I didnt like the way it was undercooked they took it back immediately. They also forgot one of my partners sides, but upon request immediately brought the proper side. Brittany and Frank were amazing. There was also another gentleman who gave us our appetizers and he was quite funny and just overall cool. Great experience, will be returning in the future.
We decided to come last minute for dinner. The restaurant was very clean and seating was appropriate spacing. The staff all wore masks. The server was great and recommended the Boomrita which is a flight of Margaritas. They were delicious. The food was really good I recommended the salmon and shrimp. The manager even came to our table. Excellent service we will be back.
Gotta say, outback has always been a favorite joint of mine but damn, in Bidens America- the inflation is real and the prices hurt... we were in shock over some of the piece hikes... disappointed in an error on seriously undercooked a burger for my girlfriend- annoying to have to ask for condiments multiple times too - we ordered a mixture of things and then they staggered things knowing we planned to eat together. This was only the 3rd time in a year weve gone out anywhere to actually eat out - so this was super annoying.I had the wings and my favorite pecan blue cheese vinaigrette salad (hate there was no option to add shrimp, steak or chicken to it) for dinner, my girl just had one of their burgers and we split an bloomin onion - $60+ was a bit of an ouch...
Came here about a month and a half ago. Thank you to the manager to accommodate my questions about where they get their cuts of steaks from. I ordered a steak and it looked like it was held together by other pieces of meats. I considered it was meat glue which is commonly used in steaks. I like a 1-piece cut of meat. But sadly I was disappointed by this cut. I do not know how this is medium rare when the whole slop here has discoloration in weird areas. It literally pulled a part in pieces. Be careful with the different cuts of meat you order people. Meat eaters beware.
Gathering at Outback used to be a weekly event pre-pandemia. The portions shrunk the service diminished and the management is non-existent.Having a six person dinner at a nice restaurant is a time to relax and catch-up on family stories and just kick back and enjoy.Sadly, this wasn’t the nice place I remembered. My food is tasty and looks great. However I didn’t feel welcome. I used to share the full rack of ribs with my wife. Now when I received a full rack, it was two pieces with two and three ribs each. I asked the waitress, who promptly agreed with me, went hurriedly to get the missing half of the full-rack-of-ribs, I had ordered. The manager, she explained when she came back, told her that’s the new size for the full rack. I tried to return it. The waitress agreed and took the plate away, only to come back with the getting-cold food and explaining the manager had denied my return of the ribs. I enjoyed the rest of the meal without interruptions but the manager never came to hear my complaint or to explain why the waitress was misrepresenting the restaurant’s guidelines.I didn’t feel welcome. It’s as if they are telling me not to come back.I have to find another Outback.I hope this review is helpful to those who just want a place to eat relaxing and feeling welcome.
My husband and I brought my uncle there for his 95th birthday. I was never ever crazy about the Outback Restaurant but my uncle always like them and did nit know there were any more open near us but let me just say I was very very pleasantly surprised. Drinks, I had a Margarita and my uncle had a screwdriver, and we both LOVED them. Service was absolutely impeccable! We were lucky enough to get Jason as our waiter. He was so sweet, warm, friendly and eager to please and a great bartender as he is also the bartender there. We left feeling full, happy and it did not break the bank. They serve Very very generous portions and yummy food. We liked it so much that we went back the next month (May) and we were lucky again as we had Jason as our bartender and waiter again!! Go there, you will be very glad that you did.
The ambiance of the place is dark and quiet. We went around 2pm and it wasn’t too busy. We were immediately served complimentary bread and butter as we dined in and the wait time for the food wasn’t too long.We ordered the Ribeye, Melbourne Porterhouse, and Toowoomba Salmon. Both the steaks we ordered were cooked to perfection; they were tender and juicy. I loved the toowooba salmon, it was so flavorful and huge. It came with shrimps on top and I totally loved them. You get to choose the sides with each entrée and we chose mashed potatoes, seasoned rice, and vegetables; everything was super good and not bland at all. The portions were huge and so fulfilling. The prices are very affordable and fair for the food portions. Our server was amazing and attentive, he made sure everything was well. I would highly recommend this place!
The food was good, the blackberry martini tasted more like cold/cough medicine, and the staff was polite and friendly. For the management team - I get that your staff wants to go home as early as possible but its very rude to start placing chairs on tables when you have customers still eating in the immediate area. At least wait until they have finished dining and plates have been removed.
This place is an hit or miss with service. I must say my last visit, Our server Travis was amazing! He has a wonderful personality and made Service great. The food is always good. 4 stars because even tho the food and service was great in my last visit, it was not always consistent with other service.
Got curbside takeout of course no utensils or napkins, this is the 3rd time Ive ordered takeout from Outback and they havent provided utensils even though their order form asks if you want utensils. This time I checked before driving off so I went inside and was told they dont have utensils, the manager showed up and I asked him if I was supposed to eat steak, salad, and mashed potatoes with my hands? He apologized and said his provisions were shorted utensils. There is a Dollar Tree right next store that he could have sent someone in to purchase some utensils, instead I have to drive 20 miles home with cold food then have to microwave it so I can eat like a human being with now overdone steak. Any fast food place that you spend $5 at will give you utensils but an alleged Steakhouse that you spend $73 at cant provide utensils or napkins. Shame on them.
I ordered $260 worth of takeout and it was terrible. Things were missing from my order, the steak was over cooked and the burgers under cooked. The blooming onions came with no sauce and the baked potatoes with no toppings. The quality of the food at outback has changed so much. I used to eat there or take out at least 3 times a week but not any more. They never get anything in your order right and then when I spoke to an employee to let him know his answer was that they were really busy. Never ordering from there again. Tip: Check your outgoing order when you pick up before you leave because they definitely have forgotten something.
We used to frequent this place regularly and decided to re visit last week for our anniversary and today for my daughters birthday; being in the business myself, I know first hand the customer service etiquette, which is enjoyable for the most part; but, we all know how that can go!So, last week we had Travis as a server, he did awesome, tonight we had Brittany, and she too did just as well, and Frank the manager on duty, was just phenomenal! Knowing our situation with our sons allergies, Frank actually went and got bread from dollar tree next door and made a grill cheese for my son! Frank came with some wheat pasta from the restaurant next door and made mac and cheese too! Who does that?! Frank is the definition of going the extra mile! Thank you all and keep it up! In todays normalWe need to like Frank and crew if we want to survive in this business! Im giving 5 stars because they dont have 100 !
I just left this restaurant very disappointed. My waitress was very inattentive when my table needed her. Everything took very long to come out, I had to get another staff to find my waitress. My waitress did not give good service and my food had no taste. Overall I did not have a good experience and I feel I wasted my money and time when I should’ve gone elsewhere.
I always come to this Outback. Food and service are good but one thing that bothers me is their app and online reservations. I set a reservation for a certain time to come and be told they dont have it and reserving online or on the app doesnt always work. This is the second time I have had an issue that prompted me to write something. The first time was worst. They had the reservation but was told I had to wait an additional hr after I checked in for the time I reserved. I didnt know there was a reservation for checking in. Outback please fix your reservation or get rid of it all together. Huge inconvenience!
You would expect lower quality cuts of steak to be cheaper then other real steakhouses, but no. The service was good but the fatty cuts really didnt match the high price point. They have good sides though. I would not recommend this place if youre looking for a good quality steak dinner.
The food at Outback is always tasty. The servers are always attentive and polite. We came with our 1 month old daughter and they seated us in a nice and secluded booth in the corner, which we appreciated. The food is reasonably priced and there was no wait to be seated. Would recommend for casual eating.
Just came from celebrating my sons birthday. Jenna was amazing throughout the night and even had the staff sing for my son. Being in the hospitality business for 13 years I have to say that she gets it. Her connection with us made our day and we will never forget it. You definitely exceeded our expectations.
The service was terrible, its Monday. We had Oscar he didnt stick around to see how our steaks were after delivery and we had a problem and it took forever to get him to come back to the table to take care of it. Thankful they had a good manager on duty that helped out. Steaks still wasnt right and had to go back twice and mine came out so dry and crisp was suppose to be medium well, but was charcoal. Had to go find another waitress to ask for a water. Havent been into this one for awhile and now I know why. We came it to celebrate my daughters birthday. We brought in a birthday cake and was done with dinner and had to wait 15 minutes to find him to bring out the cake. There was only 5 of us and the place wasnt busy. Hopefully the service isnt this bad all the time. We got here at 6pm and still here and its 8:20. This is crazy.!!!
We met with friends at this spot for a meeting. we heard about this spot from quite a few people. Well, it was a winning. the crew were so friendly and we felt good. The food was just great. We enjoyed every moment and we will definitely return to this restaurant. we highly recommend this place.
If you want to eat in a restaurant and feel very safe eating indoors The Outback in Westbury, NY is the safest place my wife and I have eaten at. The food is delicious and always comes out perfect. Frank the manager is the best and he always walks around and greets the customers and makes sure everything is perfect, and it always is.
My family and I enjoy coming here, the food and service is usually very good. The pork chop is surprisingly the best we have at a restaurant. There steaks are cooked well and to the correct requested temperature. Drinks are reasonably priced. The Wednesday special is a major bargain not to be missed for the thriftier person. I recommend putting your name of the list before coming during busy times, this place is very popular.
For a chain steakhouse restaurant, they just get it right every time. Juicy steaks and chops, perfect grill marks, and crispy blooming onion give you a really great meal. The atmosphere is cozy, and with multiple televisions, this makes for endless possibilities for sport watching too.
We had the 4 courses meal there and it was really good. We enjoyed every single course. Especially steaks, they were cooked to exactly what we asked to be (rare and medium rare). The service is exceptionally well. The waiter constantly checked on us and made sure we have everything we need. We had our daughter with us, who was sleeping in her stroller. I believed the waiter deliberately lower his voice, which was very considerate and we were able to enjoy our meal.
Never found our waiter...However, another waiter stepped in to help. He went above and beyond. The manager even assisted due to the look on our faces and hunger in our eyes. We had the wings, which were really good. The steak and shrimp deal was awesome!!! Perfectly cooked steak and shrimp. From not being served to great served food. The night became great! Thank you Outback!
I dont have anything nice to say about this place. Took my corporate business partners for dinner. Found toilet paper on the floor of each stall in the ladies room. When i told them that they needed to put new toilet paper in the bathroom, the girl took the nasty toilet paper from the stalls and put them back on the RAILING!! How repulsive!! I told the manager who walked in the stalls with me and did nothing. Not to mention no one told the poor waiter about wed specials and we ended up arguing with him over something that was the Managers fault so we gave him a good tip at the end. This place needs an over haul. Corporate if your reading this, please re train the manager. The waiter was great after the Manager told him about the special!!!
This location is a joke . It was my daughter birthday me my wife and and two daughters order three steak and a salmon . Two steak come fully burned salmon was over cooked mash potatoes her horrible never ever in that location. Only is manager is nice because he came after complaining and he change that 2 steak without any questions but when my food arrived its almost closing time .horrible service bad bad bad
We went for a birthday party on a Friday night. We were going to have the surf & turf special..and i am positive that they were still on for another day..we were told no !! Even tho, i had asked that when I made the RESERVATION & was told the special was going to be running until Sat.
Came here with a large group (15+). The service was excellent even with the large group. The servers were very attentive to our needs and were always nearby should we want anything. I had the baby back ribs and they were delicious. They were tender and cooked to perfection and practically fell off the bone by themselves. Outback definitely deserves 5 stars for this meal.
Today myself ,my daughter and son -in- law drove all the way out from Queens just to come to this Outback Restaurant in Westbury NY. This place is AMAZING!!! The food is awesome my daughter and son in law both got the rack of ribs which were bigger than the plate and the meat was fall off the bone tender and juicy!!! I got the endless soup and salad and seasoned & Seared Prim Rib OMG !! Totally awesome!!! the clam chowder was to die for and the ranch dressing on the salad was awesome! everything here is made fresh and from scratch so this really makes the food taste amazing! Also the customer service given by Juan and Kevin just made this the greatest lunch experience ever! A restaurant might have good food but it’s the whole entire experience we had at this restaurant that made me decide to give this review! A+ ACROSS THE BOARD!!!!!
The wait in Westbury can be long. Steaks were cooked perfectly to my wifes and my liking. Usually great service - feel like dining not just eating. This last time we felt that the food was almost being thrown at us. We were not close to finished with the soup and salad and the main course came out. We sent it back twice. Called the manager, Vinny, over. He was extremely apologetic and couldnt do enough for us. Very professional. They have some great deal specials.
I stopped in last night for a quick takeout order since I was hungry after a late business meeting and not really in the mood for fast food. I had the 9oz Outback Special cooked medium, with an order of fries and a salad. The steak was cooked to perfection, was very tender, and a perfect late night meal! Normally I shy away from takeout like this because usually by the time you get home, the food is soggy and not really good. But last night, everything was great!

2022-06-12Keeping to my motto of short and direct, this Outback is two thumbs up.All foods are prepared very well with big flavors. I’m especially delighted at the dry rubbed wings not too salty but bold taste. The shrimps were tender and fresh paired with al dente mac and cheese.Great dining experience and service was right up there. Be happy to recommend to friends and family.

2022-01-30Diana was nice. Took very good care of me. Everything was good except the bloomin onions appetizers, too greasy for me.

2022-01-05The food and service were both great. The onion bloom was a little oily when you get to the bottom but that’s to be expected. The baked sweet potato was my favorite!

2022-06-14We go for the blooming onion once a year. ..if they made personal sizes like 1/4 the order wed go more often. Cant control our selves so need to limit our visits. 🤪No issues with this outback location in Westbury. Staff friendly. Clean. Parking huge. Next to dollar tree always a plus.

2021-01-13This was my first time trying Outback Steakhouse and the reason that brought us here was the Bloomin’ Onion which was their signature flower-looking fried onion. It was delicious and juicy inside but kind of greasy in the end.We had their Melbourne Porterhouse with Steamed Lobster Tail as entree and Creamed Spinach & French Onion Soup as sides to share between two of us. The food was not the best but the portion was great with super reasonable price. Our favorites were the steak and French Onion Soup. The quality of steak was decent with its price and was grilled tender, too. The soup was cooked flavorful and rich.

2022-07-03They all hit the spot with the steak, nor once have I been disappointed with the services
