I am staying here for a month and so far I am very satisfied with the Outpost Club. The building itself is very safe and the room is clean and cozy, as well as the living room and kitchen area. It is small but I think that is what is expected in NYC. My host is Paul and he is extremely nice and responsive to my questions and requests, both about the Outpost Club and NYC. The place is furnished well too and the AC works very well which is great since I am staying here during the summer.
The whole place is very clean and modern. There is free laundry, shared cookware, and a private backyard/rooftop.Dustin is very chill and made me feel right at home. When I was having trouble with my virtual key, he was also accommodating and provided me with a physical key fob.I feel confident in my choice to stay here.
My experience with outpost club is the biggest scam.Outpost charged me full money for Cassa Studio with formal receipts and promised Id be able to check in without any hustle. Then when I arrived, the place was not available for me because they double booked it. I called my agent Sam at Outpost Club, and he wanted to put me in somewhere much lower quality with a similar price. I refused, then Outpost said it was my fault, and Outpost didnt even give me a refund so far.I got direct messages from other people who had the similar experience and we are all surprised that theyre still running the business. To reply with Outposts comment: Outposts immediate response was to decline the refund. My lawyer stepped in to help and then they took a week to actually respond. While Ive got refund eventually with legal help, Ive got tons of emotional stress throughout the time that led to my medical disease that Im still recovering from, plus I had to find a long-term housing option in NYC during a very busy month which takes lots of time, energy, resources and luck. All I want to tell others and help others out is that Outpost treated customers pretty poorly and misled customers about what they actually offer. Its one thing about showing false information when customers pay for you; its another thing about denying your responsibility immediately when something goes wrong. Youve done both and I hope you could be responsible instead of adding more lies on social media.
My experience living at outpost has been amazing! I have been there for 6 months and just renewed for another year! The building manager Francisco has been very helpful with everything. Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for short term leases or long term leases.
I just moved last week to the Stuyvesant Heights first floor apartment. The place was clean and my 2 roommates clean behind themselves The heat is good. House Leader Dustin keeps the place well stocked with toiletries and other items we need. He was willing to accommodate any requests I had and explained what I needed to know.
I am in williamsburg building, and i will be staying for another month, totaling 2. i was very surprised with the cleanliness of the building and apartments. the apartment has wonderful natural light, which is hard to find in NYC. In the building we have a leading house, called PAZ, always super available, sweet and organized Argentine dancer. SHe is always available either to help you at the time or to find the best way to resolve the situation. making a bridge between the company and the guests. It is a building with young energy, many young guests, but well organized well by PAZ. It is very well located and with great infrastructure. Looks like a luxury Hostel, with rooftop overlooking Manhattan
Be careful about committing long term with this company. Their 1-3 month prices are excessive (you can get a studio for less), so their salesmen entice you to sign a longer term contract. They do not allow you to look round the property before and have no accurate information on the flat you will be moving into (eg living area), so it is luck of the draw.Unfortunately they are not understanding if you wish to shorten your contract (unlike June Homes who are much more flexible in my experience).Essentially they are taking advantage of a very challenging NYC housing market at the moment, particularly for people who are moving from abroad. In response to the reply from Outpost:Thats my point - its very expensive to sign short term, meaning people will feel inclined to sign a longer contract. And the comment about offering tours simply is not true - I asked the Outpost sales team for a tour but was declined this, unless I signed up for 12 months. There was no offer of a 3D tour either, just photos sent of the bedroom only. The sales team did not know any other details of the apartment.Unfortunately I did not have any other options.
Amazing place to stay in Brooklyn (Greenpoint). This is the perfect solution for people who are new to the city - you only have to bring your personal belongings. The team is incredibly friendly and makes every effort to meet all requirements.I didn‘t have any issues in all the time here that couldn’t be solved quickly and hassle-free. Many thanks to house leader Irina!
Love staying here as my semi-permanent home in NYC. Great central location and all the amenities you need without having to pay exorbitant hotel prices. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Paul was my concierge and was amazing. Always there to help me when I needed it!
Im currently staying at the outpost club in Williamsburg and its been great so far. The house leader Paz has been really helpful with ensuring our apartment is well-stocked and answering our questions. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a flexible place to stay in NYC!
Ive lived here for about 5 months, and since Outpost took control of management, the building has become better and better. The best aspect they added is the house leader, who is, for me, Isadora. She brings my suitemates and I whatever we need, responds almost immediately to any questions or concerns, and does a great job of keeping the building in order. Most recently, shes been decorating and creating events for the community. Its a nice place to be.
Living at Knickerbocker House has been a great experience. House leader Izbelle is an amazing host. No matter how great or small the issue, shes always responsive to every issue that comes up and working with the offsite Outpost team to resolve them in a timely manner. Shes kind, personable and works hard at keeping the apartment (& others she manages) in optimal condition.
After having a bad experience in the house in Crown Heights, the team moved me to The Maison Jefferson, which has been a good experience. First I was placed on a room that didn’t meet my needs, so the House Líder Dustin, made everything to help me and put me in the right spot. He’s been really helpful and makes anything he can to make us feel comfortable.
I live in the OutPost Club in Williamsburg. Signing up and working with the leasing agents is a breeze. The apartments are well appointed, secure, and with excellent facilities. It’s co-living, but you have your own space at a very reasonable price; much more affordable than like spaces of older less desirable spaces in the vicinity they are in. For anyone who wants to start off in New York, while determining your next permanent location; I cannot think of a better option! Paz is an incredible asset willing to listen and act when needed.
I can only speak for Outpost Club Williamsburg, but the experience has been fantastic. The building is in a great location and is very well maintained. Additionally, Paz (the house manager), is clearly passionate about making sure each tenant is comfortable and taken care of. She responds quickly to messages and makes sure all issues are resolved quickly. Highly recommend!
I live at The Crown Heights House. I really liked the apartments, great location, near the subway and not far from Manhattan. I would also like to thank our House Leader Dustin, who helped me check in at a convenient time for me and perfectly prepared the room for me!
The Outpost Club is a great place to stay, even for longer leases like mine (12 months). I feel super safe, the rooms are we furnished, and you even get AC. The Williamsburg house has a fantastic view on the roof. So far my stay has been smooth-going and comfortable. The Superintendent is a really nice man and is very helpful. Paz is a fantastic house leader and she is always on top of things; she’s always replying quickly to my needs and is a very kind person. It’s really nice to have a house leader because you know there is someone in the building looking out for your best interests. I’m so happy I signed my lease here, and I highly recommend the Williamsburg house to others!
I have a lot of praise for my wonderful house leader, Belén. There were a lot of issues with broken appliances when I arrived, but Belén seamlessly handled and fixed everything she was able to. She went above and beyond in dealing with the frustratingly slow process of outpost and was very reassuring and calming with her help. Certainly would not have enjoyed my stay half as much without Belén’s effort.
I’ve been living at the Williamsburg house for about four months. At first it was generally a good experience. There was some miscommunication about which room I would receive, but the staff was overall accommodating and helpful. The building uses electronic locks, and a few residents have lost access randomly. I returned home May 1 at 2am and was locked outside. The mobile application and my key fob were both not working. I was only able to get into the building when another building resident opened the door, and after that I was not able to get into my apartment. For two hours I messaged the building group chat, called and messaged the building leader, called Outpost phone numbers, and even DMd their account on Instagram, trying to get someone to remedy this issue. It is a huge failure on Outposts behalf that there is only one contact person for building residents, as the house leader was asleep at the time -- which I do not fault him for. It was only when a roommate returned at 4am that I was able to get into my apartment -- two hours after I had reported the issue. Outpost has not reached out to me either regarding this failure or why it has come up for multiple residents, beyond the house leader messaging me that the situation was resolved and that it was a glitch.Beyond that, packages have gone missing and the elevator has had a lot of mechanical issues. I’ve been stuck in the elevator before after it jerked to a stop, dropped slightly, and got stuck. Outpost took a while to look into this even though it has been reported in the WhatsApp group for the building, and only resolved it when another resident reported being stuck in the elevator for an hour and a half. Outpost has responded in a comment that there are two elevators in the building, however the elevator with issues was never blocked off, so residents were getting stuck semi-regularly. Outpost never communicated that they were looking into the issue or acknowledged that there was an issue until that resident got stuck for an hour and a half.
Do not do business with these people they tried to scam me out of my money! I made a reservation for a long term stay with them through Airbnb weeks in advance and completed all of the forms they asked me to complete. Four days before my check-in date, I received a message from them saying they are having maintenance issues and that they dont have other rooms to offer. They then asked me to cancel the reservation for them which according to Airbnb policy would get them out of having to incur any penalties and having to give me a full refund for their incompetence. If I had canceled the reservation myself like they had asked me I only would have received a partial refund and they would still pocket the money. They ignored calls and messages from both myself and Airbnb support. Their actions caused a major disruption in my work plans not to mention extreme stress. Extremely unprofessional.
The leasing department has problems with communication. I was in contact with their department initially, asked a few questions, called twice, and one week later still waiting on a response. Unfortunately, the company isnt very good with correspondence. And as you can see by their timely response to my review (2 weeks later 😂)... they dishonestly stated that they always follow up, unless of course this response on Google Reviews is counted as that follow up. Point being, they have a great deal of shortcomings in that department and should probably tighten it up. To whomever might be thinking of booking with them, just know what you might be in for.
I signed a year-long lease with this company and I’m extremely disappointed in my experience. When I first moved in, I was put in the wrong room and told that I’d have to wait over two weeks to move into the room I signed the lease for due to an error on their part. The staff did not do anything to help me with this and it severely impacted my mood and mental state during an already tough time. Throughout my tenancy, multiple problems have come up, including but not limited to: ceiling leak with water flooding the light fixtures, wi-fi being out for an entire week, complete lack of house maintenance including no trashcan and old tenants food backing up the fridge, smart locks on doors dying so I was locked out of my house for hours. The staff is terrible, frequently completely ignoring calls, texts, and emails and leaving their phone lines unmanned.Do not sign a lease with this company. You will regret it, as I have come to.
I have had many problems with Outpost during the 8 months renting from them. I will be speaking of the one problem that resulted in my moving out.On March 11, 2020 I was notified over text that the house I am living in was being put under new management and I had to be relocated.I emailed Outpost costumer service and they offered to relocate me to another house on March 25th. I received 14 days notice to move out.Outpost did not initiate any form of contact regarding the violation of my lease or my relocation. I find the lack of communication from Outpost to be absolutely appalling given the impact that this situation has on the tenants. Dealing with this relocation without communication or assistance has been infuriating and reflects very poorly on the credibility Outpost as a company. Please save your time, energy, and money. Rent from a different co-living company. The images in my review are are some of the broken and poorly taken care of items along with the text I received from my house manager.
I have been staying at an Outpost Club property for about a month and a half now, and all I can say is, thank goodness for Gaston!! He met me at the property the evening of my arrival and maintained contact with me throughout the day prior to ensure that he met me on time. Right off the bat, he was just so welcoming and very informative about everything in the apartment as well as the building itself. He has always responded in a very timely manner whenever I have a question or concern and is quick to put our minds at ease as he shows urgency in making sure we have everything we need. I honestly am grateful that we have a house leader who seems to truly care that we not only enjoy our stay, but are comfortable as well.
Ive been staying at Outpost Club for 2 months now and really enjoying it. My house leader, Irina, is helpful and immediately responsive if anything comes up. Also I use the amenities (gym, common work areas, backyard) pretty much every day. Id highly recommend this option to anyone coming to NY and looking for an affordable good first experience in a furnished apartment.
I have been staying at the greenpoint house for about a year now and I really like it. My house leader Nathalia, have been really helpful when I need something. The lease is really flexible specially when you are coming to NY for a business trip you can stay for short or a long period of time and you can extend your staying if you need it.The only thing that I would like to say is that the gym has to be cleaned more often.
I am so glad that I chose Outpost Club as my temporary residence. Outpost club has lifted my burdens of finding and managing through difficult living situations and made the whole process so much easier. Maria, the houseleader was super nice and friendly since the movein and helped me through small issues. I would highly recommend using Outpost club to anyone who is looking for a short term rental in NYC!
Moved in not really sure what to expect and this place far exceeded my expectations. I have lived in the city for a few years now and I have never experienced such a warm community to live in! The management specifically Francisco is the best property manager going- always there to help and someone will always respond to answer my questions immediately. I love the room, very easy to feel at home here even though I never met my roommates before moving in, it has worked out so well and met some of my favourite people in the city here. Recommend to anyone!
I have to say since moving into the Kensington house last month I’ve really been enjoying my stay. I love the area, I love the people, and I love my place. I have to say one of the biggest highlights of staying here is my amazing house leader, Gaston. Since day one, he has been very friendly and respectful. He’s easy to communicate with, and anything I need, he’s there. From supplies, to advice, to information, I can always count on him to be responsive, fast, and efficient. Even on days where I’ve submitted maintenance requests, Gaston takes it upon himself to come check out whatever the issue, and try to fix it so that I don’t have to wait longer than I need to. He goes above and beyond with everything he does, and he truly takes his job seriously. Gaston’s goal, from what I see, is to not only form bonds with tenants, but also make sure that he is lending a hand any way he can. Every time I see Gaston, he always makes sure to remind me that if I need anything, to reach out. Having a house leader like this, I can say, is a blessing. I’m grateful to be receiving such excellent service, and this has made my stay fairly comfortable. As long as Gaston is here as my house leader, I’m happy to be here too. Thank you, Outpost :)
Ive lived at one of Outpost Clubs locations for about two months now and its been good. In the beginning I had trouble getting the specific room that I wanted and it was a hassle communicating back and forth with the sales team, but the house leader Nathalia was really the one that helped me get the room that I wanted. She is a great house leader and was always quick to respond and helpful if I ever had any problems.
I lived at outpost club for 4 months this summer and had a great time. The facilities were amazing, the rooms were clean and bright, and the location was top notch (Greenpoint). Id definitely recommend outpost to anyone who likes the co-living lifestyle and wants a cheap and nice place to stay in NYC. Shoutout to my house leader Irina for making the experience so great.
I live in Lafayette House and the House leader Josias goes ABOVE AND BEYOND!! He is so kind, attentive, and helpful. He makes my stay here so much more enjoyable by making sure to provide everything we need in a timely manner. He is excellent. The customer service here is great. The cleaning service is great. I would 100% recommend outpost Lafayette House to anyone who is interested in staying here!! I only meant to stay three months but because of its great location and convenience, I doubled the time of my stay.
Overall, I’d recommend this company for short-term stays in NYC based on my experience of a one-month stay. I booked through Airbnb and the process was quite simple and straightforward. Hosts were responsive and communicative leading up to and during my stay.I stayed in Ridgewood. The place is newly remodeled, well taken care of, and very clean with private bathrooms for each bedroom (only thing shared is the kitchen). Of course there is some risk to living with completely random room mates. There is a house manager on-site to help monitor things and enforce house rules when needed. In my case, I stayed with Ricardo and he was great—responded quickly and helped me right away when I once got locked out. I can’t speak to the other locations/co-living houses run by Outpost, but the Ridgewood house worked well for me and exceeded my expectations for the price and last-minute timing of my booking.
I have been staying at outpost in Williamsburg for the last few months and have had a great experience! The facilities are clean and modern and it’s in a great location. The house manager Paz is amazing as well. She is always super responsive, friendly, and helps us with whatever we need. I highly recommend staying here :)
Renting through the Outpost Club was by far the WORST renting experience Ive ever had (Ive rented at many places in the past and have always been a clean and respectful tenant). Im writing this review because I dont want other people to waste their money, time, and peace like I did. This company has so many issues that I dont even know where to begin so Ill try to give a brief summary of the negative experiences myself and roommates had. Our house leader constantly barged into our apartment without notifying us in advance or knocking/asking if she could come in (even if we bolted the door shut - like we typically would at night - she could still get in through her key which is an app by the way so good luck if your phone is dead or lost or the app system crashes - which it often did during my stay!), we were never informed in advance when new tenants were arriving in our apartment, we thought wed only have female roommates but men showed up (they dont do any sort of roommate matching), the facilities we paid for (the gym, coworking space, recreation facility, and rooftop) were almost never available throughout my stay due to ongoing maintenance issues throughout the building and when the gym and coworking space WERE open they were absolutely filthy and looked like they hadnt been cleaned in years (Im not exaggerating - they were gross). Cleaning staff never showed up in-between tenants/once a month as Outpost said they would when I signed my lease and as they advertise on their website. Outpost customer service was almost never responsive via email or by phone unless they were trying to get you to re-sign for a longer stay or pay some random bill they came up with. We had constant maintenance issues (heat didnt work for a while, water flooding from our bathroom ceiling, sink spraying, etc.). Packages were constantly stolen from the lobby. The first weekend I was there, a tenant smashed through the front door of the building (a TENANT). They say that its a living community for young people but there were many old (50+) men there (which is extremely discomforting when youre a young woman who doesnt want some random old man moving into her apartment without notice). They didnt tell us there was a late check-in fee so when we arrived they asked us to pay them $75 in cash (even though the check in could have been done remotely since all you need is tom download the app). All furniture is incredibly cheap and uncomfortable - which in itself is fine - but the problem is that they act like its a luxury apartment and charge extremely high rates even though its cheaper than any college dorm Ive ever been in. The apartment was filthy when I moved in and they didnt have bedding for me like they said they would so I had to buy my own stuff last minute. A COUPLE moved into one of the rooms in my apartment (which was a small, single room) without notice despite the fact that the apartment was clearly only for individuals (it was tiny). Outpost was aware of this and didnt lower anyones rent or utility costs despite the fact that we were now sharing all amenities in the apartment with an extra person. Oh and lastly, one of the attractions to renting with Outpost club was that it was a way for young people to connect through the group chat and events, etc. but when I moved in, they told me they didnt have a groupchat anymore because people complained too much. Of course they complained...they had many many reasons to!In conclusion - stay FAR AWAY from Outpost Club. I cant express this enough. Subleasing apartments (check out the Listings Project or Facebook Marketplace/NYC housing Facebook groups) or renting an Airbnb is a FAR better option. Dont give these people your money.
I’ve stayed with outpost more than once. During my second stay I did encounter some comfortability issues, but the house leader Gaston make sure to be attentive to my needs and made sure that things were ironed out for me as soon as possible. Very friendly, understanding and caring guy that assisted me in having an amazing stay!
I have had an overall positive experience at the Greenpoint House. My roommates and I really enjoyed the location and the neighborhood! Irina was our house lead and she was always very responsive in getting us the supplies we requested. We also really enjoyed the coliving spaces (backyard, gym, study, etc)
I wanted to live in NYC while I was checking out apartments for a year long lease, and I was dead set on Williamsburg. Luckily for me, I found the Outpost club and the Williamsburg house which was exactly what I needed for a short-term lease.Great apartment, awesome common spaces and good people! Paz, the house leader, was extremely helpful in getting me set up, checking in on me and helping me with the departure process! Would definitely stay here again
Will start my new journey in NYC, and I’m happy to be able to get a nice, cozy and clean place to stay. The owner coordinated with me along the way prior to check -in, security and safety is at its best, and Jean Borges the Newkirk house leader met me and oriented me with a delightful heart. He is very accommodating and warm. A very pleasant welcome.Obridado JEAN BORGES… Kudos…
I used to live in a Williamsburg house for six months. It was a pleasure to live there. The building and rooms are renovated and it has all that tenants need for comfortable living. Management is friendly and responsive, house leaders are very helpful, thank you Paz and Francisco for that! And the location is amazing!
I love living here. Facilities are fantastic and residents are great. Paz the house manager is amazing at Williamsburg House 🗽 So friendly & helpful. She messages when I have deliveries & helped my neighbor enter her apartment immediately, who was locked out. She makes you feel very welcome. One of the reasons I stay here. A friend shares similar experiences, at the Harlem house. I truly recommend. Outpost changes your life 😊
My experience at the Outpist Club Fort Greene, was very pleasant. The building was comfortable and the attention and responsiveness by the angel Karla (property leader) was top notch. I would recommend without reservations this locations for a short or long term stay.
I love the Outpost Club location in Williamsburg. Its a great building and friendly folks live there. Paz and Paul are incredible house leaders who listen to all my concerns and help me out in a timely manner. They do so much for the place and I dont know where Id be without them. They make the Williamsburg location complete and I want to thank them for everything they do ❤
Have been living at the Kensington House for a month now and house leader Gaston has been wonderful, he has a great attitude and very helpful for resolving any issues. The apartment itself is nice however the building it is in could use a renovation. Overall it is a pleasant apartment in a quiet neighborhood in Brooklyn.
I was a guest for a brief moment at the Greene Ave apartment. Gabi was an amazing host and really assisted with ensuring my stay there was comfortable. To answer a few questions I had:1) Yes it’s a shared space2) Two Rooms are located to the North of the Apartment they are side by side and same in the south side of the apartment.3) Three rooms have queen beds, One room has two twin beds, not the most comfortable but we made it work.4) The main shared space is where you enter into the apartment. There are two doors that take you in to the same common Shared space.5) The apartments are in the top floor of the apartment. Make sure to have access codes before you guys get there. It’s a generally safe neighborhood with all amenities near by, if you don’t mind staying in your room or working from your room the design really gives off a dorm room feel in the shared spaces. My roommates were pretty cool on our visit and the host lived downstairs and definitely made sure the stay was comfortable.
I was really excited about moving into the Outpost Club in Williamsburg, and a lot of the moving in difficulties were made easier because of the great staff! Maria Lorenzo (Paz) was especially wonderful in helping me out whenever I needed to see a room or was locked out!! Really wonderful, beautiful building too, and an AMAZING area. Really recommend :D
I stayed in the Fort Greene location and I loved it! Fully furnished apartment and great location. I believe they have to improve the WiFi. Karla the house leader was the best! She always replied my texts back right away, I had some problems with the key and she help me many times, I lived in the same apartment than her and the apartment was always clean and neat. She is so kind and nice! I would definitely stay there again
My experience at the Williamsburg location was really good! Thanks to Paz, my stay was very smooth and seamless. She is very organized and great with communication, as well as being super nice! Location for this apartment was amazing and the people I lived with were super nice. Highly recommend.
If I could give less than one star I WOULD! They are scammers, after they got my ID documents and before 2 hours of moving in they told me the place was gone!!! Thank god I did not pay anything because I felt there was something wrong (she told me no need to pay a deposit). Make sure to apply for policy report If it happened to you too! Because these people will use your identity to scam someone else
Josias was my House leader at Lafayette house and he was genuinely one of the best people I’ve met in the city. Super Welcoming and accommodating. We will miss him so much as House Leader and know he will go on to do great things elsewhere. When I first moved in an Expensive package came in and before I even texted him Josias put it safely in storage. He would also text us before coming into our apartment to clean and is overall a great human. Much love to Josias and Outpost Club.
This company advertises itself as a co-living environment for young professionals between 18-30. That is a lie.I was housed with a 40 year old man who attacked me. I had to call the police because of the attack and was only moved from the location 24 hours later. This attacker still lives in the Fresh Pond Location to my knowledge. So please, if you are a young woman ask not to be housed in the Fresh Pond Location with a man named Ky. He is 40 living with a bunch of young people and is dangerous. During the attack I contacted the house manager multiple times for help and no one answered the phone, so I had to call the police. I am still deeply traumatized by this incident. Please beware. This company did not protect me or provide me with any updates on Ky after my attack. Just my warning to young women. This attack was about music being played too loud at 3 am in the morning. When I ask him to reduced the music he said okay but he didnt. That when I slammed by door and he screamed, calling me profanities and approached my room to I can only assume attack me. He was extremely angry and aggressive. He only calmed down once he realized I was calling the police. Despite all of this Outpost Club has allowed this man to continue living in their property. Just please beware, especially to all the young single ladies.
I signed a one-year lease with outpost (living in Jersey Height House) and currently am at 6 months’ mark. The room / house is in decent size and furnished as advertised. My overall experience has been positive and been significantly improved since our house leader Carlos started managing our house! He is friendly, and listens and responds to the request timely and gives updates if anything goes unexpected. Thanks to him, I really enjoy my stay here~
It has been amazing experience so far. Clean place to stay, you get a lot for your money. In house Washer and dryer unit is pretty neat. The communications with the Outpost team and house leaders have been pretty great. A great place to stay temporarily. I current live in the Jersey City Outpost club is located in a quiet neighborhood located right next tons of great restaurants, pharmacies and delis. The rooms are nicely setup.
Since outpost took over management of the building where i live, things have become worse. They take extremely forever to respond to issues even if its an emergency. I had a clogged drain once and i contacted them severally about it only for someone to show up at my door step in 2 weeks!. If you can’t fix your stuff you ain’t gon get them anytime soon.Same with when i had an issue with my windows, and it was very cold contacted severally with nobody showing up. As usual i had to save myself from freezing to death. They just never show up! Maintenance quality is very bad.
I’ve been staying at the Williamsburg House for almost a month now. It’s modern and a good option for someone looking for flexible rent terms. Special mention for our house leader, Paz, who has been very helpful and responsive in addressing all issues and has made the experience very smooth.
My stay at the outpost club was great. Marina and Ricardo were great house leaders and made communication very easy, if there was any problems I knew I could go to them and they would handle it. Not to mention, they where very sweet and personable. Planed on staying for 1 month but loved it so much that I extended my stay. Would definitely recommend staying With outpost
I had a very difficult and unsafe experience with an unpleasant roommate however thanks to the amazing response time from Kamila Pinto and Edwin. They had me moved out of the apartment and into a new apartment within an hour of incident. Edwin even carried my 4 heavy boxes himself. Im so happy with their fast response and professionalism.
My stay at the Outpost Club couldnt be better, the building was super well maintained, with everything working perfectly and in a great neighborhood, experiencing the city of new york through the Outpost Club was without a doubt the best decision, I want to especially thank the manager of the building Christian Nolff, for his excellent work, empathy and support.
Been living in lewis house with the house leader Josias. The stay was great, he helped me with everything I needed, always kept everything clean and organized. One day the wifi was not working and he arranged everything with the supplier to repair it. The neighborhood is loudy in the nights but everything it’s pretty good.
By far the worst living situation I’ve ever experienced. The apartment is constantly messy; not all that surprising when they have 6 people jammed into a 4 bedroom apartment. My door doesn’t lock and my toxic roommate fees free to walk into my room at any time even when I’m sleeping. It’s bad enough finding peoples hair all over the shower but when you find it in your room on your desk it’s unacceptable. The doors only unlock w Bluetooth so if your phone dies congrats your homeless now. The other day the lock on the front door broke so now anyone who’s smart enough to go around the emergency exit has full access to the entire building!
I’m only entering the second week of a 12 month leases, but my experience with Outpost has been great so far. Paz, who is the house leader for the Upper Manhattan House has been very responsive to any questions I had leading up to my move in, and the property itself is well kept. There is great value here for anyone who needs a place to stay but can’t afford a studio/apartment. And Paz again does a tremendous job in making sure you are comfortable.
I lived at Outpost for about four months and it was a great experience for first moving into the city! At one point, I had to switch rooms and Marina Vidal, one of the house leaders, walked me through every step and was incredibly kind and helpful. She checked in on me, prepared my new room. She spoke to us as if she new us for ages and helped to foster a sort of family in the house. Her actions are representative of the people that walk through the doors at Outpost.
Was in the process of signing a lease on one of their apartments when they increased the price tremendously. The room isnt worth the new rates that they have (why would anyone pay $2100 per month for a room in a shared apartment with 3 other people in Brooklyn, when you can literally get a nice place in Manhattan and split with one other person?) and they failed to honor the offer that had already been given to me. Very disappointed with how this company handled everything... no compassion or customer service whatsoever. Even now that my budget has increased, I will never rent with them after this situation because it reflects poorly on them as a company.
I stayed at the Brooklyn Outpost Club above Fort Green and I greatly enjoyed my stay. There was a lovely coordinator for the building named Nathalia who was very helpful and always available. The place was very clean and there were TVs in every room. The only issue was it was a bit loud and you could hear the others residents through the walls and in the hallways. But if you don’t mind noise, then this is a lovely place to stay for a few months.
So, Im leaving a review to emphasize the great leadership of my house leader, Ricky. I spent about eight months at the Manhattan house and he was by far the best house leader I met. Despite the difficulties of the pandemic, Ricky kept our place clean, stocked, and was always available for emergencies. Plus, he was great to chat with and even after I moved out, he forwarded my mail to me, which he certainly didnt have to do. Outpost is lucky to have such a fantastic and caring leader!
Real good experience - good location - everything from good coffee to good restaurants within 2 blocks, quick 1 1/2 to the L train and only minutes into manhattan, the place itself is very clean and modern with great cooling (summer visit). the house manager - paz - was super helpful and friendly and made the visit smooth.
I had a great experience living in the Fort Greene location over the summer. The building and apartments were well maintained and up to date. The house manager, Nathalia, was super accommodating and a fantastic person to live with. If there was ever an issue she was quick to offer help and she clearly cared about our wellbeing!
I recently used outpost and stayed in Harlem at an air BnB. This was my first time traveling from home for an extended period of time. My house leader was Paz she made my experience so amazing, easy, and enjoyable. She is so pleasant, easygoing, and friendly. I was initially nervous for my 2 month stay but after meeting Paz is was a game changer, because of her I really enjoyed my experience! Thank you Paz!!! :)
Just had a stay at this outpost housing.. Everything is literally a fantastic experience for my stay in NYC!! The house leader Marina and Ricardo were super nice with helping and quick responses. Marina greeted me when my first day here and toured me the entire apt ( and so did another lady roommate! ) My room smelled so nice and I loved it hahah. Also Marina helped me with the heater problem once I got no idea how I should run the remote correctly.. She was so sweet and they would check up on us sometimes so that they would know we are not running out of supplies which I think it’s very important thing to do while we stay there since it’s quite annoying to find out they’re out when you need them. All in all, Outpost will gonna be my next choice in NYC!!
I stayed in Kessington House 1A and Gaston was in charge of checkin me in and settling me in. He was so patient with me and generally amazing. He even checked on me days later to be sure I was well settled in.I’ve stayed at a lot of Airbnb’s, been with different people but Gaston absolutely stood out. He was a Saint!
Planned on only staying for a few months and ended up extending my stay for almost an entire year! Everyone is either very friendly or keeps to themselves. Its not always easy dealing with some people as living with so many people in such close quarters can sometimes cause a little tension but most issues tend to be little things that arent really ever a big deal. Ive found that the building Ive stayed in has become home and Im honestly a little sad now that my stay is over. The neighborhood is great and Sam, our house leader/manager has been great addressing any and all of our needs! It definitely takes a certain type of person to do the whole co-living thing but for those that dont mind people coming and going, it really is a great place to stay, whatever your reason.
I am currently staying at the Central Park House in Manhattan and my experience so far has been great. The apartment is beautiful, well furnished and clean. The house leader, Ricky was exceptional. From the day I moved in to the day he left, he was always kind, comprehensive, and quickly responsive.I will definitely recommend the Outpost Club.
I stayed with outpost from Nov-April and it was a lot of fun. I was new to the city so being in a co-living house with other young professionals in the same situation made the transition a whole lot easier! I recommend outpost for anyone new to the city looking for friends! Also Gabriel was a great house leader and really took good care of us while I was there.
The support staff Carlos was show polite professional responsive kind caring and helpful that it made the experience a pleasurable stay at Outpost. I cant say enough kind words about the hospitality that Carlos provided as a representative of Outpost he truly made a great impression of the business and brand of The Outpost Club. I would definitely recommend the quarters of outpost to anyone considering a alternative place to stay as I have personally experienced a great time with them. Okay
A word of advice to anyone considering renting from this company like I was, pay close attention to: the complaints of previous tenants, how the company responds to these complaints, what specifically they respond to, and the complaints that they ignore. After reading these reviews and the company’s responses I can tell you two things, Outpost’s social media manager is passive aggressive and unprofessional and this reflects horribly on the company. A company that genuinely cares about its current and future tenants would meet complaints with compassion and professionalism. You’ve lost a potential tenant and I hope anyone else considering this company does their research and chooses elsewhere as well. A word of advice to outpost, don’t bother with a passive aggressive response. The most you could say is that I have never been a tenant with you all, which I have already stated. Redirect any energy you considered putting into a response into learning professionalism.
I am a travel nurse, working in the ED for COVID. The room I rented on air b&b was what it said it was going to be. What made my stay here the most enjoyable was Ricky, the employee of the outpost. He was always around any day or night if i needed anything. Also not being from NY, he helped explain how to get around in the city. Whenever he can around to clean he made sure he worked around my night shift schedule, I would definitely stay there again, as long as Ricky is there!! He made my time in NY better, I feel that I have made a lifelong friend!!
I asked for a room, i gave my informations and what ive been looking for (price, location...), and at first sight they were really reagent. But they just looking for someone to pay for their room, they purpose you a room, but if you take a little bit time to think, they gave the room at someone else. Its ok, but they didnt warn. Then, they purpose you a room ALREADY rent. And when you are trying to be understanding, you are keeping your calm, so you ask if you have other offers, can you let me know pls, and guess what : THEY BLOCKED MY MAIL !!!!!
What I like most about outpost is that I have someone to communicate with immediately when there is an issue that needs to be resolved. Marina is our apartments house leader and she is very patient, informative, and is always available when needed. We had an issue with our wifi, Marina and I worked together to fix it within the same day and she responded in a timely manner. I know I can rely on her.
The Outpost in the heart of Williamsburg has 1) a prime location, 2) an amazing rooftop, 3) is extremely clean, 4) is full of young Internationals 5) A very nice support on site called Paz. The only downside to it was the sales part / reaching out to the sales team, it was hard to get them on the phone or to move on in the process fast. I would recommend it regardless!
I spent 2 months living in the bedstuy Hart Street Brooklyn and it was awesome! When I arrived the house leader, Ricky, helped me a lot to discover the neighborhood. We organized a few parties with the roommates and I met such good friends! It was an awesome experience and I would love to come back!
Marina and Ricardo are awesome, and they take care of everything that needs to be taken care of in the house. Especially Marina I like that she always make sure we have everything we need , paper towels and everything else and she is always responsive even when our chairs were all broken she came over and fix everything. Honestly, that was impressing to me I didn’t think she could have done that.
This is the worst company you could think of making business with in the entire USA; for starters they’re not even based in the US. The lack in support and customer service oriented personnel will make your entire stay a Nightmare! I’ve been living in one of their houses for almost a year and EVERY day that goes by I regret having signed a contract with them. Sometimes we don’t even have toilette paper in the house, our door has been broken for more than two months and they don’t care, you call them and they’re extremely rude. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST! They will rip you off! BTW, I tried to complain on social media and they blocked all of us in the house as they delete every post that talks bad about them. I wouldn’t be surprised if this good reviews have been created by themselves as NOBODY in the house is happy with them!
Outpost was the best renting experience I had in NYC. As a foreigner, it’s really hard to get approved for apartments (I ended up finding many many scams on Craigslist and even Spare Room), but Outpost lets you view remotely and move in without needing a guarantor, etc. Everything is clean, the staff are always on hand to answer questions and above all there are regular social events where you can meet lots of new people. It’s a great way to get to know the city in a safe, fun environment.
1- Internet connection sucked in my room. The room was a little too far from the WiFi. I put in a maintenance request on the platform, but didnt hear from anybody. They keep asking money at every step of the renting process.2- They say customers dont have to wait for bathroom because there are multiple. Not true. The same goes for washer/drier. For the whole building (multiple apartments) there was only 1 washer/drier.The good thing is you dont have to carry a key to the house.
I was in an Outpost apartment at W115th Street. The location was good and but for a pandemic it could have been great. One of the guests was exceptionally disrespectful of the space and me in particular. This can be a really great experience if you have a respectful group of guests. The stand out of this experience was the site manager Ricky. He was exceptionally helpful and very, very, very pleasant. He certainly was a counter balance to the unruly guest, but you can only control other people .... you really cant. The one thing that I did not like is that the doors could not be locked. That was a BIG problem as far as Im concerned and but for that I would have given a higher grade.
I spent 5 years in New York and this is the best place I have lived in so far. They provide you with supplies for the kitchen, restroom, laundry... There is a great community environment and free events. The house leaders are always looking forward to help you and solve any issues in the building as quickly as possible. I am also very happy with the location, 15 min away from Manhattan! Safe and convenient neighborhood and laundry on site. They even provide you with Netflix...
Josiah the leader at the Lafayette house was an Host ver kind and friendly. He was always available during all times of the day answering questions. He made sure I was comfortable during my stay and I appreciate that especially during these times. I will always go back to Outpost at the Lafayette house as long as he is there lol. Thank you!
Great house management team who actively try to make the tenant experience exceptional. All my questions and criticisms were take seriously and they worked with me to remedy any problems with the house or with billing issues. Would highly recommend to stay here for anyone needing long-term housing in Brooklyn.
I’ve been staying at the Jefferson house with house host Marina. The overall stay has been very pleasant, clean, and communicative. The house host has been very helpful in ensuring we have everything we need on a daily basis. I would definitely recommend the experience
I’ve been staying at the Fresh Pond house for about a month now. I am enjoying it so much that I’ve decided to stay an extra month! Special shout outs to Marina and Ricardo for ensuring that my stay was and still is comfortably and pleasant. Considering moving here permanently!
I was living in the 83rd street location for few months now. I like the neighborhood and its very easy to get to any part of the city from there! ALso recently they changed the cleaning team, and the new team does a really great job! I have a full set of furniture in the apartment and in the bedroom when I moved in. Highly recommend. They can do events more often in the Manhattan area, because most of the events take place in Brooklyn though.
I have been like with outpost for a year and a half. Most affordable place to stay. Everything is included!!! I have met so many people from around the world here. I’m glad I had this experience it taught me a lot. For example how to live with 3 females in one bed room. Overall it has been good ! Thanks outpost! When I get old I’ll have so many stories to share 😹
After staying at the Outpost Club for two months during this summer I have realized that this has been my worst renting experience to date. For 3 weeks, I went without hot water and the only thing they did to rectify the situation was to offer $150 off of rent. They don’t let residents have access to the air condition in their own rooms and there is no way to lock your bedroom door. The Outpost Club employees are disrespectful, unhelpful, and overall terrible. Not worth the money... at all.
My over one year stay with Outpost club was an experience made great via the continuous efforts by house leaders Samir Belaid and Nathalia Generoso. As a student, Outpost provides a convenient alternative to traditional living arrangements removing the stresses of furnishings, utilities, and so much more. I recommend Outpost to anyone looking for short-term or long-term NYC housing.

2022-06-01I really appreciate how helpful Paul my house leader was ensuring I was able to get into the house and had everything I need for my stay. The room is beautiful and all the furniture is in great condition. Looking forward to living at the Outpost club!

2022-02-24I really appreciated how helpful Jamie, my house leader, is; both during and after my move-in. Place was furnished as advertised, and on that front I have no complaints. There are a few things I feel need improvement, however. The app/electronic locks Outpost uses are not as reliable as would prefer, and since I work the night shift, this is a pretty big deal, since there isnt any other way into the apartment, like a back-up key or something.Secondly, the apartment I was in had lots of empty wall space in the common area, but tiny cabinets. From what Ive heard, this is an apartment-by-apartment sort of thing, so be aware you may get unlucky. Finally, the advertised in-unit washer and dryer is this abomination of a machine. The washing cycle is just fine, although the capacity is limited, but the drying cycle takes 4 HOURS fully loaded. It also has a fun quirk, wherein, if you try to do anything at all while it is running, it locks itself and stops, and you have to unplug it, wait, and hope it has reset itself when you plug it back in 5-10 minutes later. That thing alone bumped my review down one star because it annoys me that much.

2022-04-17I had a great time living in outpost greenpoint venue. I stayed there for 3 months during my internship and I really enjoyed it. So much so that I decided to extend my lease for another year. Irina was our house leader and it was always very pleasant communicating with her. There were hardly any issues during my stay and any minor issues that arose was swiftly handled by Irina. I would highly recommend staying here as this is a very reasonable accommodation with lot of amenities.

2022-06-18I lived in this building for 14 months with Franco as manager and Paul as super. My experience overall was 10/10. The two of them go above and beyond for their tenants, working both quickly and efficiently to all guests needs. The building itself is very clean, modern, and well kept. The rooftop views is the icing on the cake. If i wasn’t moving into a 1 bedroom I would definitely live here again. Thanks club outpost!

2022-02-12My experience living here was overall pretty good, but cleaning is inconsistent and there’s room for improvement. The unit was nicely furnished but my roommates and I found ourselves having to buy necessities like disinfectant wipes, a bath mat, larger towels since the ones given to us wouldn’t fit anyone over 5’2”, etc. so it’s a little inconvenient if you’re staying for longer than a week but shorter than 6 months. Irina was very responsive. I didn’t make use of the building amenities so can’t comment on them but they looked nice! No locks on bedroom doors as per NY regulations so was a little worried about safety, but otherwise a good experience.

2022-01-08We have had a good overall experience with Outpost Club. After a bad initial experience with our first apartment, Oupost Club, and especially Christian, have been super helpful in finding us a better fit on another property. Christian personally called me and offered the old apartment he used to stay in and so far it has been great. The location is good and the apartment comes with everything you would need. I would definitely recommend using Outpost if you dont mind living with new people!

2021-12-14Staying at Outpost was a great overall experience. They provided me with everything I needed for my temporary stay in NYC. From the amenities to the service aspect of things, everything was beyond my expectations. My house leader, Daniel, was very welcoming and responsive. Any time I needed something, he would ensure that all was taken care of. All the house residents loved Daniel, since he was very friendly, responsible, and clean. I stayed at the bed-stuy house and had an outstanding stay. There was a rooftop, backyard area, and very spacious common areas. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice comfortable stay in New York. This was easily a five star experience! :)

2022-06-26Im currently living in the Hells Kitchen House. I cannot recommend Outpost Club due to its extremely unhelpful customer service and unresponsive House Leader (he has not responded to a single message or call in the past two weeks). When I reached out to raise my concerns and ask for assistance I was threatened with fines and lease terminations in an incredibly rude manner:Please keep in mind further violations of our membership rules will result in fines and/or termination of the lease agreement. Our House Leaders are available to help in appropriate circumstance, but are no ones parent, maid, or babysitter. The violations of membership rules refer to the activities by members of [my] unit when using the rooftop, but Im not sure why Im being blamed for this? Also the email does not clarify exactly what violations were there.I was locked out of the building multiple times - their building front door access is very finicky. I tried reaching out to my House Leader each time but he has never responded. One time I was locked out at 1:30AM which was very concerning to me.Its been an extremely frustrating experience trying to get help from Outpost Club. Other than the House Leader there is no one else you can call. And I guess if you email them they just blame things on you instead. If you have a responsible House Leader the experience would be better, but this is just not the case at the Hells Kitchen House.

2022-04-28Outpost has been a pleasant place for me and my roommates to stay. Our house leader, Paula, in particular, makes our lives so much easier. She is a dedicated and hard worker. Always responds quickly and resolves any issues as soon as possible.

2022-02-22I live in the Williamsburg House and I’m pretty happy with my experience! I needed a place for 5 months, so Outpost was a great option for short term flexible stays. The building is clean and has everything you need, even free laundry in the basement and provides some necessities like toilet paper. The house leader Paz is very nice and helpful, and quick to respond when you need her. She walked me through the whole building when I first moved in and showed me all the amenities. House leaders are a unique benefit to the Outpost buildings and Paz made it even easier and more comfortable to live here.
