Doug came at the exact time as scheduled and did a phenomenal job! He replaced my overhead garage door opener precisely and swiftly. Tim was very friendly and even explained what he was doing for my four year old. He did very quick and efficient work. My garage door almost opens too well now! The only thing I didn’t like was not being able to pay right afterwards. They send you a bill in the mail later on.
Trevor did an excellent job replacing the spring on my garage door. He also synced an extra garage door opener for me and then also helped me to sync the opener in my car on my rearview mirror. He was so polite and helpful and made sure all things were stored away on his truck before leaving. I used Overhead Door for over forty years in my family home and continue to use them now that I have downsized. I highly recommend them.
Trevor was on time, professional, and solved my overhead door button problem in under 15 minutes! He showed me where the electrical contact had worn away, and installed a new one. Cheerfully demonstrating how to use it, he also inspected all the other equipment to be certain it worked properly. I was very pleased with Trevors work, and with Overhead Doors prompt service and product quality over 23 years with their garage doors. Highly recommend!
I just had a great experience with a service call to fix my overhead door. I had a roller go bad and the man door was not closing properly due to a previous accident. When Chris W. arrived on site he was friendly, happy and eager to get to work. He evaluated the issues, made some adjustments and fixed a few more problems that he identified that I had missed. The part that I really appreciated was that before he left, he took the time to lubricate every moving part on the door. That is excellent customer service. He didnt just fix the problem, he took the time to maintain the product to prevent future issues. The service business needs more techs like this! Thanks again Chris!
Professional, easy, no hassle. From the time I phoned them, they have been great to work with. Like other service providers who were down during the pandemic, they are all playing catch up with business. Lewie did a great job. No issues, no fuss, he cleaned the doors after the install was complete, and spent time showing us how to operate them and associated accessories. I had the works of my Overhead garage door replaced today by a very knowledgeable person named Trevor. Trevor competed the job in a little less than 1 hour. He was very courteous and explained all about the new remote and all the workings. My garage door originally was installed in 1993 by Overhead so I see what quality work they do. Trevor and Anthony, the technicians for Overhead Door Company of Binghamton, installed a new door in my garage today. The door is beautiful and of good quality. These guys were very meticulous with their work. I have had this garage for over 35 years and never have I had a door function as well as this one does. They made adjustments so the door comes up high enough so that we can pull a tall truck in the garage without having to hold the door up by hand like we always did. Trevor and Anthony worked very well together and are the kind of good people you want to get the job done and do it right. Very friendly atmosphere while they worked in the cold with no complaints. Did a nice job cleaning up after their work was done too. Glad we are doing business together.
Trevor was punctual, professional, and friendly. He took the time to confirm the type of paint needed, (we had one panel replaced), to match the garage door to the new panel.We have used OverHead door since 1996, with absolutely no issues with the quality of their work, products, or staff!

Very satisfied with our garage doors. Even though the first group that showed up to install our doors didn’t seem very motivated to work, the second group of guys that showed up erased all doubts in my mind and provided an excellent overall experience. I would recommend Trevor or Chris for installations as they are young talented, motivated and very efficient employees and take pride in their craft and overall customer satisfaction.

We called Overhead Door to fix our old garage door opener that stopped working....a garage technician came out the next day and stated that the parts needed will take approximately a week to come in...well to our surprise the parts needed came in the next day .. Tim the technician came out today and installed a new garage opener that works great. For over 30 years we have called Overhead Door of Binghamton to fix or repair our garage door concerns that we had in our previous houses that we owned in the past. Tim was very professional, friendly, and answered all of our questions... We recommend and we will be calling Overhead Door Company of Binghamton again in the future.. WOW!! My electric garage door broke. A friend recommended that I call overhead door which I did. I explained that I needed the door fixed ASAP and they had a technician at my house within the half hour! The door was fixed and he even got a new remote for me. This is incredible service! Trevor and Chris were just at my residence to repair a broken spring. I received a call from the office saying they would be running a little late due to being held up at another job. When they arrived they were professional and went right to work. The job was completed in no time. They even went the extra mile to change out a wire that showed signs of deterioration and would most likely have parted in the future had it not been changed. Very happy overall.

Tim from OHD Binghamton was excellent. He arrived as promised, replaced cables, lubed the rollers, did a few other things, and less than 40 minutes later the door was working again and he was off to the next job. 10/10 service from Tim and OHD, will absolutely call them again.

Worst business ethics I have seen from a company. Tech told me it’ll cost 150 to fix my garage and then when he comes here and get ready to repair it I ask him for the bill. He says the cost is upwards of 375 now. Good thing I asked him to show me the bill before he started repairing. Now he wants me to pay him 91 dollars just for coming there??? Go to Gates Garage Repair. Much better company to work with than these crooks!

The estimate was completed in a day (very reasonable) of my initial call, the work was completed the next day (excellent craftsmanship), and the payment process was easily done over the phone.I have now had three overhead doors installed with openers and am extremely pleased. Overhead door company has been wonderful to work with over the last month. I had overhead door install a garage door opener and garage door. I had a gentleman come out and give me an estimate which was a believe a fair price for what i requested.The opener was installed within the week which i think was very reasonable for short notice. The gentleman showed up installed the garage door opener in about an hour worked perfect and very quite like i was promised. The garage door was custom order door that was spose to take 4-6 weeks came in 3 weeks very pleased.The garage door was installed in my house in about 2 hours start to finish with a beautiful job done. I went with what the gentleman recommended 7 R-Value and have already noticed a difference. The door was professionally installed with no issues. Finally the payment options were flexible and fair. I wouldent mind working with overhead door again in the furture.
I called Overhead Door Company today to inquire about an issue with one of the springs on my garage door and potentially set up a service appointment. The woman who took my call was extremely rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional. She was condescending whenever I would ask a question.In addition to this treatment, I was informed l, that for a service call, they would charge $78 for the first hour and $60 each subsequent hour and this would include their travel time to and from my home as well as the time spent working on the issue. I am not that far from the business location, so to charge for travel time is ridiculous. I would understand if they had to travel out of the county or something.I ended up calling over to Gates Garage Door Company in Endicott and what a difference. The gentleman was so polite, knowledgeable and professional! I scheduled with them, they quoted me a straight and fair price and completed the job perfectly all in the same day! I would highly recommend them. In addition to doing the repair, they lubricated the tracks and inspected everything in both doors.

My spring on my garage door broke unexpectedly and I called Overhead Door Company of Binghamton. They had someone there in a matter of hours to asses the problem and provide a temporary fix so I could use the door. They returned a few days later and replaced the spring without issue. Their prices were fair and service was spectacular. Id recommend to anyone.

Trying to figure out if they are incompetent or hustlers. My parents remote wouldn’t hold a program. They had 3 techs out at $80 a pop. Not one of them thought to tell my 70 yr old parents “hey, your operator is old. It’s probably your board. By the time you pay for all of these service calls for us to spend a whole 10 mins, you could have bought a brand new operator” Utterly disgusted with them.

2022-08-03The whole experience was outstanding. The sales rep was personable and professional and the price was right! The installers, Doug and Ryan were also personable and professional. They were also innovative, solving some challenges that a garage built in the late 1950s will present. At all stages we felt that our business was very important to them and that we were appreciated. I would recommend Overhead Door Company of Binghamton to anyone!

2022-02-19I called Overhead Door company for service on my garage. I wanted to replace my cables and drums. Tim showed up and did an excellent job. I was interested in a new garage opener at the same time. I asked Tim about it and he quoted me a decent price. The next day, the sales person called about my interest. He explained the different models and features that come with them. I settled for the Destiny 1200. Tim showed up and did another excellent job. I would recommend this company to anyone. You cant argue with great service. Thanks Tim of OHD!

2022-07-23The overhead garage door of my house was falling apart and was making worrisome noises. I decided to see what options I had. I perused online to find a reliable company, and Overhead Door Company of Binghamton immediately appeared on my computer screen. I sent them an online inquiry and the following morning I promptly received a phone call from Thomas who quickly set up an appointment with me to check my old garage door. There was no doubt, after talking to him, that I needed a new garage door. Thomas was courteous, honest, and very clear in his explanations, which I appreciated very much. The appointment for installing the new garage door was set up very quickly for the following week. They were very flexible to accommodate my scheduling needs. Doug and CJ (Chris) arrived very punctually, early in the morning, to install my new garage door. They were very friendly, respectful, and polite. They clearly explained what was to be expected, the timeframe, and asked me if I had any questions. Doug and CJ did an amazing job at installing the new garage door. They were extremely organized and efficient and ready to answer any questions I had. Thanks to Doug’s and CJ’s professionalism, the installation went very smoothly within the established timeframe. 2021-04-23Trevor and Anthony were courteous, professional, and had our interests in mind. The decorative hardware that Neil sold us was not intended to be used to open or close the garage doors. Trevor explained to me that there are handles included with the door that are installed on the inside. He saved us $50 on the installation. Thanks Trevor.

2021-12-02Tim was excellent! He worked quickly and efficiently. He didnt have a certain part that he needed for a permanent fix, but he was able to come up with a temporary fix so that we could still use our door until he was able to come back with the correct part. When he came back for the permanent fix a week later he was only at my house for 15 minutes. I would definitely recommend Overhead Door and Tim to anyone!

2022-03-07Overhead door is the goto company for garage doors in this area. Cars were trapped Monday morning when torsion springs snapped on a unliftable 16ft heavy wooden door. They were able to respond within the hour, patched the broken spring, and we were on our way. An order had to placed for the replacement springs and Tim did a great installation job completing the repairs.well in advance of the estimated repair date.
