Day trip to Belleayre was completely seamless, to the point that I can’t believe I didn’t know about these trips before now. Amazing way to have a ski day without the hassle of renting a car / place to stay. Super friendly hosts and free drinks on the way home. Almost makes me look forward to next winter.
Great company, been using them since they started around 2006. Great prices... a Killington lift ticket alone is like $150, and you get a lift ticket and bus ride up from NY to Killington and your home in bed by 11 pm for $180... how can you beat that? Very easy, trips every day to different mountains. Cant imagine driving when you can do it cheaper with them and not have to drive.
Ovride bus never disappoints in the five years I’ve been taking it. Our guides for today Steve and Manny went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, welcomed, and feel like we were a part of the OVR family despite a day where snow conditions weren’t the best. You can always count on them to keep the positive vibes and stoke high!
These trips are terrific. You get on a bus, someone else drives while you sleep. You get there, you ski or board, you come back the bus and you drink beer and hang and then you dont drive home tired. Pretty much a no brainer for the NYC person. For slightly more that the cost of a lift ticket, your on the slopes and home with zero downside.
I used ovrride for the MLK day trip to Belleayre. The bus was clean and on time. I found the leaders very fun, excited, organized, and professional. The trip had no delays (we departed from NYC on time and left Belleayre on time as well). Really loved the experience and will be using them again!
Their service were great. Megan our tourguide was informative and helpful. We were missed our pickup point at Union Square, and Megan accommodatively let us to meet at the Midwest Manhattan. They were punctual. Some variant of cold drink were offered on the way back to city.
Ovr always delivers! Another seamless trip, with really cool people! I have never actually had anything go wrong during an Ovrride trip. One of the aspects which I enjoy the most is that if you are traveling solo you can easily make friends and do some buddy laps, or just stay solo. See you next season everyone!
Took their bus to Mountain Creek today. The experience was pretty smooth. Got on the bus 7:30am at midtown and it took about 1 hour. The group leads were friendly and helpful overall. They provide beverage and snacks so you don’t have to carry all that from home. It’s my 2nd time riding with OvRride and I would recommend it to my family and friends.
I love the trips they offer especially to the big mountains. Prices are quite decent considering how expensive the lift tickets are these days. 1 star less just because their movies in the bus are always R rated even when kids are on board. Also a little bit too much alcoholic drinks encouraged. Definitly not for families with younger children.
I really enjoyed my experience with OvRride! They were so kind and went above my expectations by waiting for my friend for 10 minutes which me and my friend really appreciated! They were courteous, it was a smooth ride, the bus was clean, they were very clear about the rules and the bathroom was definitely clean because I did not smell anything! Would definitely use OvRride again! They brought me and everyone else to Mountain creek safe and sound! :)
I have been skiing with OvRride for 2 seasons now and they do not disappoint! The service is amazing and their trip leaders are super knowledgable. They are my go to for a quick day trip or a weekend long getaway where I have made so many new friends! I highly recommend OvRride to get you out on the slopes and meet some awesome people !
Getting out of the city to go skiing was tough... that was until I discovered OvRride! I have tried some of the other ski bus services in NYC but none compare to OvRride in terms of professionalism and reliability. The ovride trips have the most fun groups of riders and skiers by far. I now only do trips with ovride because it is always an amazing time. Highly recommended!
This tour service is a great way to get out of NYC for a day and hit the slopes. The trips are a great price for what you are getting for a ski trip, especially from NYC and the people who run them ensure that you have a great time and everything you need is taken care of. Ive been with them several times and look forward to going again. Adon and Killian are great guides!!
I did the Mountain Creek trip with OvRide. It was a fun experience. Took the bus from Union Square, got to the mountain on time. Got a free North Face neck gaiter face mask, free drink from Suja Organic sparking juice, and Singria Cider. Mountain Creek staffs were great; did the beginner lesson and made it to Sugar slope lift. Enjoyed the bar and lunch. Had a great time 🤗
Have used OvRide twice this season, to Windham. It is an economic way to get to the mountain rather than relying on private transport. Overall I am happy with the cost and services offered. I found the guides to be well informed and friendly, and the atmosphere on the bus was pleasant and quiet. What I do not appreciate, however, is the insistence of playing movies on the buss screens when going back from the mountain. (At the last ride the movie was a childrens animated movie with no interest to the 20+ year old passengers...) On both my rides I have noticed that none or very few of the passengers actually watch the movies and it becomes instead an annoying and disruptive noise to tired skiers who would rather rest and/or watch their own smartphone screens. So my suggestion would be to cease this practice and let the skiers get the rest they would rather enjoy! Alternatively, if indeed you *have* to show these movies, please choose something of interest, like a skiing documentary, or something to that effect. On the bus itself, I found that it is comfortable and with a careful and experienced driver. What I would, however, have liked to see, is safety-belts for the passengers. I think this is important for a bus that per definition should be capable of transporting passengers on winter/mountain roads.Apart from that I am very happy with OvRide and look forward to using you again the next skiing season.Thank you!
Took the day trip to Windham Mountain and back. The Ovrride team is super professional, punctual, fun. The process is really hassle-free and once youve booked you just need to be at the pickup spot at the specified time. And they will arrive on time (slightly early actually, which is great, but dw they dont leave people behind unless theyre obnoxiously late!)They ensure everyone practices covid-19 related safety protocols, and they are definitely operating their buses at half capacity. If youre traveling alone you will get a seat with no one sitting next to you.Ill definitely book future trips with them, had a fantastic experience!
Went on another day trip today with Ovrride and they have again proven why they are one of the top ski tour companies around. Our bus captain Ricardo was very friendly, and made sure everyone had everything they needed to have a great day. It didn’t hurt that we also had reps from Sierra Nevada and Patagonia on board! The whole crew, and our driver Lloyd, made everything smooth, fun and enjoyable through and through. Thanks again for a great day, hope I can squeeze one more in before the end of the season!
Super fun bus ride up to Stowe! I loved not having to drive, but this trip was more than just not having to drive. Everyone was friendly/social both the trip leaders and the other ovrriders. There were planned meet ups throughout the day and in the evening (none mandatory). Some people were beginner some were advanced. Some people stayed in at night while others went out and explored the town and night life. It was a great group. Will def use OvRride again! Recommend for both individuals and groups 😊
Got the whole package ski trip to Mountain Creek.Mixed feelings about our ski trip, big no, no for the delay, got an email to be 15 minutes before departure at 6.40am, we showed up at time 6.25am, but the tour bus didn’t.Bus showed up 35 minutes late, no fun hanging out for so long at super cold, dark, empty union square corner! I had to go to restroom so waiting and not knowing what’s going wasn’t a big pleasure. When the bus arrived was only 4 people inside, so absolutely no reason to be late ( I understand delays if it’s lots of people with skis, snowboards checking in etc.)Second confusion was with the lockers inside the building at the place, our bus guide told us, we have lockers included in the package but when we got there and wanted to leave our stuff in lockers, facility employee told us we have to pay for it so another 26$ for two medium size lockers.Ski rental with no issues but I guess that more the facility thing then OVride. The tour guide nice and alert for Covid protocol. The rest was ok, but what can go wrong if only what you have to do is to get the bus from spot A to B, right? So basically not too bad, but not good either, but 1, 1 hour round bus trip for 90$ should happen at least without big delays.
Insane bang for your buck. I would highly recommend any one who lives in the city or near it like us (Jersey City). Starting from Union square we embarked with fresh bagels and water. Dropped off at the mountain for the day at a great time. Our lodging blew my expectations out of the water (we plan on going back for another OvRride stay) highly recommend Full Moon Resort. It was such a beautiful place and super friendly people! Ron made our entire weekend a complete breeze. Super convenient drop offs - we just wish there was one in jersey city/Hoboken area because it’s a trek back home. We can’t wait for our next trip with you ! Thank you so much for an amazing weekend.
It really doesnt get much easier to get from NYC to the mountains than jumping on an OvRride trip. Hop on the bus and have a bagel and nap on the way to the mountain, get a full day of shredding, and enjoy a cold beer on the way back. What more could you ask for?! The staff is super friendly and helpful and its always fun to meet new people who share the same excitement for the mountains as you on the bus. Would definitely recommend OvRride for a day on the slopes!
I’ve been using ovrRide for almost 3 years, for long trips and for day trips and they’re super cool! I booked my first snowboarding classes through them and today I was finally riding comfortably on black trails which is a milestone for me. Thank you OvrRide for making it so easy to get to the mountains. Ashley, by far one of the best hosts, thanks again for having the trips always such a blast! 🙏🏼🗻🏂
I see only positive reviews here (I saw negatives in other OVRRIDE locations, particularly East Coast), and I had also positive experiences pre COVID-era. I thought they were enforcing strict anti COVID-19 policies. But my experience in March 3 2021 to Wyndham made me think that it may not be a good idea to take a tour bus until COVID-19 is over. The company reduced a capacity to 50% and no drinking nor eating is allowed. Many travelers are solo or a pair, and they were extremely quiet out of consideration to others. However, the company trip leader, Aiden, was only person who were talking so loudly over 1.5 hours to one group of guests. Even with a mask, there is a risk of spreading virus if you talk long and loud in a closed environment. I know several clusters happened by bus tours. I texted him and asked him not to talk so loudly, then his answer was “I was talking to guests to celebrate today, and talking is perfectly permitted” I asked several times but he did not stop talking. I was really scared. I can’t ask guests stop talking but I was asking the trip leader to be considerate to guests who might be worried about infection.I hope they can continue to run their business but train staff properly and enforce stricter COVID-policy. There was no hand sanitizer in the bus. I will postpone my trips till post COVID.
Amazing experience! If I could sum up this trip in one word it would be Convenient booked a last minute trip for the next day and the process was so easy. Who would of thought you a New Yorker can snowboard 7 days a week for a small price! If youre looking to ride quick without all the fuss of getting out of the city then I highly recommend OvRide!
The Ovrride was bus trip to Mt. Snow was a delightful experience. The two trip leads and the bus driver made sure the trip went smoothly and answered any questions I had about the trip.Having Clif Bars and Boxed water enriched the bus trip and having Blue Point Beer and Austin East Cider was a great way to end the trip.Kudos to OvRride and their crew. I will definitely be booking my ski trips this winter with OvRride!
I went on a trip to a Mountain Creek - Little J and Drew were our trip leaders and they along with Al our driver made the experience awesome. We left on time and made it on the slopes by about 9:15am. I would recommend to anyone looking for an easy day outside the city skiing.
My first time out Mount Snow in VT(can’t wait to go back), I’m an experienced snowboarding enthusiast/fan but Newbie on an actual snowboard, the beginner lesson was perfect just what I needed(David is the GOAT), I’m so amped to go back. Ovrride team and bus crew nothing but great vibes across the board(thanks for your help Ashlee). I’m most definitely going to a regular attendee on your snow day trips.
Just spent a weekend with OvRride crew, and had a fantastic time. Bus picked us up at Burton SoHo, they provided all the beer and water one could want, plus Clif bars on the way up. The hotel we stayed at was very nice. Log cabin vibes, hot tub included (essential after a couple days riding). There were some group meet ups for riding and it was easy to make friends. Everything was organized, the vibe was incredible, Rocky and Joe were consummate professionals and I was back in time on Sunday night to get a good night of sleep before work on Monday. If you love winter sports, dont miss the bus.
Great trip, thank you! The bagels in the morning were a very nice surprise (great bagels too). The hosts along the way, including Ashley on the way back were all friendly and organized. The one hiccup is that when we got to the hotel, the reservation was for one King bed instead of two queens. We had to pay a bit extra to get the two queens. Would be nice if we had known about this earlier.
My day was honestly made by me and my crew out of the hill today - epic spring conditions up at Mt. Snow! On the other hand, my experience there and back was made so enjoyable by our trip leader, Ashley, 100% .. The guy is exactly the type of person that youd hope to be at the helm running a long day trip - I found him to be especially social and personable, at times walking the aisle to chat up familiar customers, while also professional in his role. We arrived to the mountain earlier than expected and left on time despite him seemingly having to juggle a few issues all at once at the end of our day. He even came back and took the trash I had out of my hands so I could enjoy the movie better. I will say that I would def go on another trip if he was listed to lead it.
Today I took the Stratturday bus trip 🥰 The trip leaders were super cool and helpful; the bus was clean; we got there safe and sound...was a fun day on the hill! I’ve been taking OVR trips for years and will continue to do so!! Today’s bonus: I was one of the winners for the photo contest with The North Face and OVR 😀 Got me a cool new jacket! Thanks so much everyone!! 🖤🏂
Last week I went on a tip with OvrRide to Whiteface mountain. They were thoughtful, organized, and made the trip so much much more exciting and fun. Metal, Aden, and Jasmine are the BEST!! A group trip with strangers felt more like with Friends. Thank you all so much. Well be Back again soon!!!
I’ve now taken 5 Ovrride trips including 2 so far this year so this is long overdue. Best word to describe their bus trips is awesome! Everything is extremely organized, fun, and affordable. I’ve had such good experiences some friends and I recently took a flight out to mt bachelor in Oregon to ski with Ovrride and it was flawless. Metar made sure every person was having a great time all the time. There’s plenty of choices of what to do even when you are off the mountain (which you probably shouldn’t be). Most recently I went up to lake placid for a long weekend and again it was great. If you want to meet new cool people and have a great time on the mountain then this is the group to go with. And if you have Metar as the trip leader you will not be disappointed!
Literally the best. Easy, convenient, and worth every penny. They had bagels and cream cheese on the ride up, Clif bars to take on the mountain and beers on the way home. I got a package with a lift ticket, rentals, and bid for $169. If I would have drove myself, it would have been $149. For $20...you can sleep on the way up, not pay for gas, chill on the way home. Not to mention all the other perks the throw in listed above. The guide and driver were really nice, too. No brainer that this is the way to do a ski trip!!
Fun trip. Good people! I left my brand new Burton Step On boots on the bus by accident and Ashley, one of the bus guides, was nice enough and smart enough to take them and keep them safe for my while I was away for the holidays. If it wasn’t for him, they’d be lost for good. Can’t thank him enough!!! Can’t wait for our next trip.... After it finally SNOWS!!
My girlfriend and I booked a weekend trip to Whiteface Mountain this past Presidents Day Weekend. All we can say is WOW!!! Metar, Aedn, and the entire OvrRide team made this an experience we will never forget. Everything. Was so organized and seemless for us. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of. We will definitely be back for another one of their weekend experiences. Highly Recommended for skiers/ boarders of all ages.
OvrRide is an awesome bus company operated by an amazing crew of dedicated trip leaders who truly care about your experience. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a good time and delivers an incredible experience at a great price. Unlike other no frills bus operators who focus on the lowest prices with the lowest prices possible (which is fake because those advertised prices are only available to a select number of early birds) OvrRide focuses on providing the best experience and delivers the best bang for your buck. Snacks, drinks, and campy movies are always provided. Day trips with early morning departures feature fresh bagels on the way to the mtn. Plenty of adult beverages are always on hand. Its touches like this and the added human element that makes OvrRide standout. The overnight weekend trips are a blast (shoutout to Mat, Christie, and Jonathan!) and highly recommended. If you like having a good time both on and off the mountain hanging out with a bunch of like minded people who ae all about the gnar then you cant go wrong with OvrRide!
Ovrride makes going to the mountains super easy! Unfortunately, I got hurt early on but our trip leader Lil Jay was there to help me the whole time. He made sure I was well taken care of and was always checking up on me. I would definitely go on another ovrride trip in the future.
Headed back with Ovrride as I write this from another awesome day at Mt. Snow, drinking a cold one!!As usual, Aedin & the rest of the crew ran a great trip!!Can’t beat a day trip to Vermont from Brooklyn!!Tried doing the drive on my own for a day trip, to Vt. ,but that ride home after a full day is rough!
Ive been to the Catskills, Jackson Hole (twice) and Whistler with them, I cant say enough good things about them. Pricewise its pretty much what would cost me if I was booking it myself. And more importantly the people are awesome, Jamie and Matt the group leaders are an absolute legend. Extremely patient, always available, helpful, noble and funny as hell. For me its a no brainer, its Ovrride every time.
Great customer service, efficient use of technology for checking in/boarding, awesome snacks and healthy boxed mineral water. Pickup locations are convenient and in safe areas. Bus has decent seats, outlets to charge your phone, a movie is played on the return home accompanied by beers.Worth every penny...
We took override bus on March 2nd, 2019 from Union Sq. to Killington, VT. The bus was late for 25 minutes. 2 hours in, the guy told us there was some issue with suspension and will let us know. Another 1.5 hours later, we found ourself in a rest area when they stopped the bus and told us that they would get another bus for us as the one we book had issues. So we all agreed that we were going to Hunter Mt. instead of Killington so we would still have a full day. And another bus was one hour away to pick us up. However, 3 hours later we were still waiting!!! What is wrong with this company? Surprise happens but out gonna to handle it right? If they can’t take us to the mountains then send us home! They kept us waiting on their false promise! We got in Hunter Mt. at 11:30am (when you woke up early to take the bus at 3am).Worst experience ever! Don’t ever take the bus with them - you will spend all your day on the bus!
OvRride customer support sucks. My friends has gifted me a certificate for $300 from OvRride. Unfortunately I couldnt use it and asked their support for a refund. After few back and forth emails I have called them, Matt was quite disrespective. I then did exactly how he said and asked my friend who has paid for this certificate to ask for a refund. OvRride has ignored him and didnt called back. So I have decided to give this cert to few of my friends to not waste their gift. Today OvRride has sent me an email saying next: Hey Oleksandr, The gift card was partially used this past weekend so I wouldnt be able to issue a refund now.I dont know how do they provide services, but in term of customer support you guy SUCK!DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS SERVICE!
This is a horrible company .On August 15th add about 4:15 Am I was headed home from Atlantic City doing 65 maybe 70 mph On garden state Parkway North .One of the over ride busses was tailgating me and Flash me with high beams in the middle lane I proceeded to put my blinker on and going to the right lane slowly as I did the bus then sped up and cut me off. Which caused something to fly up and crack my windshield. I got stayed behind him so my passenger could take picture of bus the numer and plate but i couldnt keep speeding 100mph like the bus was so i got enough info to make a report . After that the bus cut me off again which this time caused me to swerve and lose control i hit a pothole or something my passages air bag went off my tire popped and caused alot of damage to my car. I am taking to mechanic to get a quote but i would estimate 5000$. Between windshield, tire, hub bearing , control arm ,cv axel, tie rods and whatever else the mechanic wrote on my estimate. That is just somethings i was told over phone. I will post photos of esrimate and damage . This company will need to pay . PLEASE ANY ONE THAT READS THIS DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY FOR A BUS TRIP ESPECIALLY ANYONE WITH KIDS. TO THE OWNER I HOPE YOU CONTACT ME I HAVE THE INFO OF WHAT BUT IT WAS.

2022-03-08One of the best companies Ive experienced. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about all things show. Ive been going on trips with them for several years, and every trip is a blissful escape into nature. Ive usually done local trips with them around NY and VT areas, but recently did a European trip to Chamonix, France. It was one of the most organized yet laid back experiences Ive had in a long time. Everything was planned perfectly but with room to do our own thing if we wanted to. It was absolutely EPIC and I cant wait for the next one! Thanks OvRRide!!

2022-01-19Ive tried out a few different ski/snowboard trip companies and OvRide is by far the best. Their customer service skills and logistical execution are a cut above every other company. The staff is extremely responsive and friendly. They are very receptive to questions and will go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. OvRride also cultivates a fun group environment - Ive met some of my closest friends through their weekend getaways and day trips. I would recommend OvRride to anyone and everyone - Skier or boarder, beginner or advanced..Their trips and staff are simply unrivaled!

2022-02-01Great service, friendly tour guides. Went to Mountain Creek with OvRide and got bus, lift and rentals for under $200. The bus was delayed (a taxi went into the bus) but I got a txt to alert me (so helpful) and we ended up making it to the mountain before it even opened. Aedn, Victor and TJ made the journey fun and I appreciated Aedns spirit for encouraging people to get out of the city and onto the slopes. He talked to everyone on the bus back to the city which was very sweet. Would highly recommend. Photo taken at Mountain Creek.

2022-01-24Great service. Reasonable prices for a trip up to the mountain. Our driver and trip leaders were great. Ride was smooth. I slept both ways. Wish they had non-alcoholic drinks at the end of the day. Even a crate of water bottles would be great.

2022-06-05Ive taken a variety of OvRride trips - countless day trips from NYC up to the ski mountains and two international trips for both snowboarding and surfing. If you dont have a car/ dont want to drive, you cant go wrong with the day trips. Easiest way to get up to the Catskills and beyond with bagels in the morning and beverages on the way back with plenty of nap time. Both international trips were some of my favorite trips Ive ever taken - theres a lot of flexibility to try a variety of activities/ see the sights with a great group of people up for adventure.

2022-02-10Ive done a couple of ski/snowboarding trips with OvRide this season. I The guides are very friendly and welcoming and do their best to ensure everyone is having a great time. The coach bus is very comfortable and the free beer at the end of the day is a nice extra perk. There are other bus companies that go to the same mountains that are cheaper, but I dont mind paying the premium price with OvRide for an awesome social experience!!

2022-04-12I had an awesome time taking the day trip to Killington, VT! This is a great service if you want to get to the mountain and dont have a car/dont want to do the driving.Got on the bus late at night (3 am is not even my bed time) slept all the way there, spent the day skiing and then enjoyed some beers (thank you Ovrride sponsors!) on the bus ride back. The trip guides kept things fun and chill but were there in case of an issue and made sure to let us know how to handle emergencies. The bus was comfortable, had a bathroom and outlets (although they make a point of saying this is not always guaranteed). All in all, its easier, cheaper, and more fun than renting a car to drive upstate by myself to go skiing.I wish I had found out about this sooner! Thank you Ovrride! Ill definitely be back next season!

2022-04-07Fantastic group! I went on a weekend to Jay Peak in Vermont where Matt was head of the expedition and could not be more satisfied with the ambiance he and his colleagues created.I also made many new friends. 5 stars!
