A nice park with a rather large playground, a waterpark that operated in the summer, basketball courts and large wooded areas with running and bicycle tracks. In the winter, people sled in its slopes. This park has an activity for everyone regardless of age.
Pretty fun park. It would be even better if they have Swings for teens and bigger kids. There are plenty of hills for picnics. They also have something you dont see anywhere else which are swings made of tires.

The park is beautiful, but the roads are a bit beat up. Nice view on the hill at sunset. Its near a pier, too, so thats a plus!

A great peace out park full of squirrels and birds to feed.You can walk to the top of the hill and sit overlooking lower Manhattan.Its quiet,clean very nice for families ( kids play area) couples or solo walk and just wantng to relax in the trees with wildlife.I love it so much.
Big mountain. Many dogs. Big fields to picnic on. Water playground and normal playground. There is also a public restroom towards the top.

Great local park serving the community during the Pandemic. Owls Head offers plenty of trees, benches, hills, paths and flowers for all to enjoy.The park staff is totally dedicated to making this park a gem. It is usually spotless and social distancing Unfortunately, I removed one star due to the inconsistency in the time for opening restrooms.

This park is beautiful. It has the shore view. It also has a basket ball court. Ideal for taking your dogs out for walk.

Super fun and in pretty good shape considering its a public park in Bay Ridge. Not as hectic and fast as Pier 61/Chelsea Piers

Nov 2021As a Brooklyn resident, Ive been to the park and the dock many times.The dock offers spectacular views of New Jersey, NYC, and Staten Island.Theres also a 9/11 memorial statue there on the dock, dedicated to those that lost their lives on that sad day.The park is large, has playgrounds, picnic areas, and a skateboard park. A very nice way to spend a day in any season, particularly in the summer or fall, when the leaves are abloom with color.

Great park centered around a hill with amazing views. Has a dog park, a playground, basketball courts and a skate park. Has plenty of quiet secluded areas and some ancient trees.

This is a great park for the whole family from young to old, all types of activities, playgrounds, grass and courts. you can bike run exercise and just to relax. whatever you come for this is a great great park. Hope that Brooklyn has more of these.

We love to go to this park with my son. The only down side is that its sometimes too crowded so were being careful about covid and wisely choosing our time to go there.
Great park, my kids love to come here and play on the basketball courts. Plenty of room on the grass to sit and relax and have a picnic and let the kids run around in the playground or kick around a soccer ball. Park is well kept and clean. We come here often and will continue to do so!
This park has a large area and relatively complete entertainment facilities. Close to the sea, the air quality is good and the view is wide. I went here to play basketball, but the basketball court is terrible, unmaintained, and rather dilapidated.
Surprisingly spacious for the total size. HUGE playground, water park type area for kids, basketball courts, skate park and TONS of park benches to relax.
Rare green space in Bay ridge. The childrens park needs updating but its a nice place to walk around and fall is the best with all the changing leaves. Theres a bathroom but no picnic area (Ive seen ppl set up independently for celebrations) its a big space (relatively)so noise not big issue.
Nature hidden in a city. Place to recover,relax, enjoy a pass a quiet time. Lovely hills, packed with trees and beautiful sights. Has basketball courts plus playground for kids.
Came here for the playground and it was great. It could use a paint job but its big and open, great for the pandemic. Also a great splash/water area here.
Beautiful, serene and calm! Great place to organize your thoughts. Also, you can visit, Bay Ridge Botanical Gardens and the Pier at 67th Street. Both within a couple of blocks.

Its ok. The skatepark is nice and my daughter enjoys it. The playground can be crowded at times. My only complaint is that they dont take care of the grass and there are too many bald spots. So laying down or playing catch, football etc kicks up a lot of dirt.

A great park to visit. It’s very wide and has sea saw and other play things for children. Trees 🌳 are well with a lot of shade. Has a nice view. It’s not all plane somewhere high and nice, have benches spread out in the whole park for sitting.Nice and quite with cool breeze most of the time.Nice place to do some study 📖 or read your favorite Novel. 📚

Nice park to just chill out with the family or even take your dog for a walk, theres a dog park there I recommend to check out with your fur babies. Catch the ferry at the pier about 5-10 min walk depending where in the park you are located

This is the perfect park for all your favorite activities. Basketball, skatepark, tons of grass to roll around on, the dogs love it as do we!!

Clean and mostly empty. Nice shady area to have a picnic than head onto the waterfront. Also have dog run and skate board park adjacent.
Had my sons 1st Birthday there. The ambience is peaceful, and the kids had a blast between the sprinklers and playground.
It is great place to visit and have an awesome afternoon. Is great to bring children and just a great time playing volleyball and soccer. Is great for parties. I mean you can bring your bike. And they have bathrooms. They are not perfect clean bathroom, but they will do. Is just a an awesome place to visit and the peer is so near and thats breathtaking too.
This has always been one of my favorite places in Bayridge. It’s a little slice of freedom in the middle of this crowded city. Oh, and the views are amazing!
Clean park with loads of green grass and trees. Paths to go up to top of the hill for a nice view of the ocean. Contains a small skate park and ball court and an area with water sprinklers and a playground for kids. Some of the paths arent paved properly and left as dirt paths but overall nice park to sit down with family.

Best trees in the boro if your a fan of rustic shapes you might find in a storytale .. Great hill to climb in the summer , just as fun to sled down in the winter. The playground is oversaturated with kids and the space can be used better for summer splash fun . Kids will love anyway

This is Bay Ridges backyard. Everyone comes to hang out.Family friendly with an older, but well maintained playground. Best splash park around. Huge skatepark. Great views of Staten Island, NY Harbor and Manhattan. Connects with the waterfront trail.

Owls Head park is as nice as I remember it being. Its very hilly, but its worth it for the views you get of Manhattan, Jersey, and Staten island. There are two playgrounds to the east side of the park, and a dog run/park to the west. The Vietnam pier is close by as well. Definitely go if you like parks and scenic views near water.

Most times bbn its clean it isnt crowded I go for a peaceful walk usually with family. There is a beautiful view of the ocean at the top of the hill and you get a nice breeze. The trees are pretty it keeps a little shade in the park. We relax and enjoy the beautiful view. A purpose to get in some exercise & I can socially distance
Lovely park anytime of the year. Good for laying around, strolling around, or just whatever you want to do in a public park. Great views of the Hudson Bay, beautiful trees and greenery and very well maintained walkways; there is also a childrens playground
What a magnificient park located in southern brooklyn! There are numerous outdoor spaces to enjoy. This park is equipped with basketball courts, childrens playgrounds, plenty of picnic areas, a dog run and skateboard/bmx bike ramps. Take Shore Road to the end of 69th Street and make a right one block after the pier and the park is there. During the winter season, bring your sled/snow tubes and slide down the steep hills this park is famous for. Once you climb to the top of the park, you can enjoy a great view of Manhattan just across the Hudson River. This park really is a gem tucked away just off the belt parkway.
Nice neighborhood, went sledding during Christmas time, it was awesome, nice big hills. In the summer they have a skate board park! Very big park but perfect size for any of ur outdoor needs!
Just walked my sisters dog here at night and its actually pretty beautiful
Plenty of open spaces with beautiful scenery from grass to tress to squirrels. People walking by or having picnics. Skateboarding rink and basketball courts are also available. Sometimes if youre lucky you could catch a performance by a local artist over there (saw someone play the bagpipes and it made my day even better although I thought it was not possible). Would definitely recommend. There is also a water faucet if youre thirsty.
I come here every morning. Extremely quiet place. The community is awesome. Parking on the street is good between 9am until 10am. Many places too eat and Bayridge ferries landing is very close. Bus very close by etc.

A beautiful park, wonderful views, great for children. A nice skate park for teenagers as well. Not a bad dog park either although the treatment plants makes the dog park a hit or miss.
This place is great for kids of all ages. The play ground is gated and benches surrounds the playground so the parents can watch their kids at a safe distance. There is another gated sprinkler area near the basketball courts and a pretty deccent public restroom. There are large open grass fields for kids to run around. However this playground is pretty dirty and the water fountain is always clogged as well(in the play ground).

This is a very nice park to relax. Plenty of shady trees. Passed by the park many times before riding along the Belt Pkwy in Bklyn. I decided to stop on the bike for a Gatorade break. Beautiful, quiet, serene park and very clean.

Its a beautiful Park very peaceful with several walking trails. It also has a nice tree shaded area to sit and read if you so desire. I love this park.
What a great park. There is so much to do and see. You can take the kids to the playground area or can run freely in the grass. There is also a great path that you can walk on. If you like skateboarding there is an area to to that too. Enjoy your weekends.

Not crowded, has nice playground as well. Good for the toddlers, but also many adults are having picnic as well.
My kids grew up going to this park. It has tall trees, a large playground, a nice splash pad, a decent basketball court, and a great view of the water. Theres always plenty of parking around and trash cans accessible.
When I was a little boy my parents took me here. There were very many huge trees. They dropped amazing seeds. Some were like brown bananas. But others were curly green ones you could partly peel open. The inside was sticky and you could glue it on your nose like a Pinocchio. The park, also called Bliss Park , is now renovated and beautiful. I wish there were more benches. Theres tons of lawn for picnics. Its really lovely.
Provides views of the water and many walking paths, pleasant scenery. Youll find families relaxing and a few birthday parties, large enough park to be comfortable while on a walk or jog, even if its busy. Quit aside from the hum of nearby parkway
The view of New York Harbor is great, and the playgrounds seem fun. Lots of room for social distancing during a pandemic. Many families come here with their kids. There’s space for everyone.
Hidden gem. I always take my pups here for a nice walk. Very quiet in the mornings. Theres also a nicely kept dog playground. You can also catch the sunset here or walk towards the pier. Parking is ample.

Its a bit of a drive from my house, but my kids always enjoy it there. The playground isnt the best, but it has an amazing picnic area.
A decently sized park where youll forget youre in the city in certain parts. Theres a skate park, which is cool and uncommon, and every Halloween they hold a festival and haunted house walk there. Theres plenty of good memories attached to this place. Totally safe during the day, just make sure to not be there late at night.

Great park with vast open grassy areas and a lot of beautiful old trees. A playground with slides for varying ages. There is also a water feature for kids to play and splash and a skatepark. Top notch sledding.

Nice views of the bay from the top of the hill. Gets crowded and dirty on nights and weekends even though they do have park crews there every morning to clean up.
Great use of space. Lots of different atmospheres from open seating, recreational areas, and a dog run off the highway. Plants, trails, and shade. Ive heard there are good sledding slopes, I think it would be too cold. Walking paths in and around the area have a good view of the harbor.
Love coming to this park. Clean, great place to come with the family. Includes a skate park. The upper portion was redone nice space for bird watching or just relaxing. In the spring and summer the butterfly bush blooms and you can identify many types of butterflies.
I love this park a bit of fun for every one. 6 large basketball courts , a skate park, a small but cute water park. Baby swings, slides section for big kids and smaller kids. Walking path. Great space for picnics and parties. Over all great for the entire family

It a very spacious park with sections for everything/everyone. Ocean view, statue of liberty in the distance, freedom tower, skate park, playground, sprinkler area, and LOTS of area to roam. Aged trees and nice floral arrangements. Really a NICE park. Go and enjoy!!
Nice park if you want to have a relaxing sunny day with family to have a picnic, sadly no handball courts here in this location.Small park with a view of the water side and play areas for kids to play, bathrooms are available here if you need it- Also this park has skating and bike areas for stunts and stuff for adults and kids.Located at bayridge area....theres benches to sit areas.... nice park

Great park with a wonderful view of the Verrazano, great fauna and some amazing rolling hills. Highly recommended during summer twilight. Has a concrete skateboard/bmx park on the other side too for anyone looking to take the kids here.

Really good park to relax and play. They have playground for kids and have a dog park. Also, it is near ferry. Is well organized. The only reason why i dont give 5 starts is because people are not allow to do barbeque at this park.

This park is right on shore parkway and off the exit on belt parkway. Half of the park is a grassy area, perfect for spring or summer picnics. Many dog owners bring their dogs here. Good amount of trees. Park is perfect for morning or afternoon jog. Playground has a kiddier side a bigger kids side. Baby swings and adult swings. Alot of seats throughout the park.
I love the amount of green space this park offers for picnicking, running, barbecuing, biking, sunbathing, etc. There is a steep hill facing the water that offers amazing views of the ships passing through the harbor. Amenities available are public restrooms, a skate park, a playground and an access point to the Verrazano Bike Path. I wish this park was a little more kept/cleaner. The playground is small and there are always many kids here. The skate park is packed with a variety of skaters from kids to teenagers. They all respect each others space when riding.
A lot of potential for photographers. Ive been here with my dog a few times this summer. The last time I went, it was pretty humid. When you scale the large hill with all the bonsai-shaped trees, youll reach the tree-lined paths with benches underneath. Here, youll be able to sit and enjoy the shade and breeze. I like that you can walk down to the pier from here, and that you can see some views as well. I wish there wasnt a water treatment facility so close by, but I suppose it had to be somewhere.
As a Bay Ridge resident I enjoyed this Owls Head Park, we had good times with my husband and my children. Just to. Take the kids to the park or to make it a big day out with a barbecue and food just spending the day in the park the children loved it... and it still Remains the Same and Im talking about 1987 an 1989 1990 and 1991 1992 and part of 1993.... Then we split up but me and my children continued to go to the Owls Head Park to enjoy good times and make good memories.
Owls Head park in Brooklyn, NYC is a beautiful public park. The views of the ocean, NYC and the trees and greenery are breathtaking. The walkways are well kept and unique to this oasis, this is a great place to lay out on a blanket the children can play and run around and is a very safe and enjoyable atmosphere. As children my sister and the rest of my family would leave home from Sackett Street, Bklyn to visit this park every week when the weather was nice; I have fond memories running around and playing with my sister in this park. If you have never been there it will be well worth the trip. There is fishing off the pier within walking distance. The park has only got better in the last 50 years! Owls head is a gem in South Brooklyn and is well kept by NYC Parks Deptartment & others. This is a must go for the last 60 years Bay Ridge 4 Eva! Five star experience.

Unique city park. Local call it Bliss park because it was a private estate at one time owned by the Bliss family. Great views of the harbor. Wonderful variety of trees and paths.
Its really a great place to relax to enjoy the water and nature I like to go there in the winter time when it snows and I go sledding down the hills its really fun

Beautiful little corner park complete with various kiddie parks and a skatepark. Calm place to take a walk in, meditate, and people watch all within 30 minutes! (Personal experience. Experiences may vary)
Pretty park with several volunteer-based flower gardens. The park needs a lot of work. There is a large area near the playground that fills up with fetid water which does not drain and sits festering for weeks right where children play. Also, the nearby water treatment plant often blows fecal smelling air through the park, which is less than pleasant.
Its a oK park shore road is much better better, like anywhere on shore road.There is a skate park there tho and thats pretty cool.
Well if you are into skating bowls having a nice time and breathing some fresh air this is a good place. The rest of the park is not very good but the kidney and the spined bowls are new yorks best secret transition spot. The coping on the kidney bowl is really damaged and wont grind very smoothly. It is definitely worth the trip.
Great place to go for a walk and catch the view of the water by shore road. Picnic spot nice playground for young kids. There is a dog park and skateboard and bicycle stunt ring. Also there is a path to bicycle ride and run.

Beautiful park, lots of benches by the water, a bit elevated away from the noise of the belt parkway. Nice walking paths, if you want athletic fields, the other parks literally next door are what you want

Great park, except the pavement/dirt is uneven and Ive witnessed several injuries on bike and scooter due to this. There is a faint strange smell that comes from the nearby waste treatment plant, but this can be ignored quite easily. Barbeques arent supposed to be allowed but I see people doing them anyway very often.

Tiny little Park that offers many features and playground. Owls Head Park was formally a large estate with excellent views of the Bay. Essentially Owls Head Park is a giant Hill with plenty of grass areas and paths. Alluring and a long the BQE entrance, you will find a dog walk and a skate park. Very nice for families. Special events during the summer and at Halloween. No BBQ picnics enforced. Great neighborhood park in Bay Ridge at the border with Sunset Park.

This is a great park when its not crowded. There is some trash lying around the park but its nothing too bad. Overall a good place to take a walk and play some basketball.

Nice walk through trees, with a view of the water. If you want the close-up waterfront experience, a pier and bike/walking path are just down the hill.
Nice park. It has walking paths benches as well as workout areas . Well shaded to take a nice break on a hot day. Plenty of trash cans so the park is clean.
Located right next to the water, Owls Head Park offers a pleasant combination of green and blue scenery. The many make this location perfect for bird watching, and the hills are well suited to exersice your pet. The park also features an extensive jungle gym for Youngs kids to play and develop social skills.
Great quaint neighborhood park on the water
Ive been living hede all my life and its a great place to go. Sledding in winter and picnics in summer. The only reason I gave 4 is because they dont have swings for anyone whos no longer a baby or toddler. It does have tire swings in place of them though.

Skate park is a little intimidating but generally accessible. No trash bins. Bring a garbage bag and a broom!
A unique Brooklyn Park. Really spacious, has a big lawn, all the typical Park activities, swings, slides, bars, handball courts, basketball etc, and unique is a skate park. You will find people bbqin, and it connects to all of shore road park and the narrows gardens. You will also get a great view of Manhattan and Staten island.

Nice nice park to visit
Fences should be much higher, particularly with a highway literally on the other side of one of these fences. The ground surface is odd at best, but irrationally brainless seems to a more accurate description. The surface is a gravelly, rock-filled, sand-like material conducive to dogs sustaining cuts on their paws when chasing a ball or each other and making quick transitions to complete stops from all-out sprints. Space is far too small as well.

Beautiful views of nearby pier - especially at sunset. Nice park with occasional festivals and small theatre events especially in the summer. Also nice for sledding on snowy days.
Incredibly situated park, between the Manhattan skyline and Verezzano bridge. Kids have endless fun, either with the water sprinkles for summer or general playground year round. Just awesome...maybe even a little bbq

Bay Ridges best kept secret. Hands down best snow sledding hills in Brooklyn. For photographers this park is stunning right when the leaves start to fall from the trees. You get stunning sunset pictures with golden fields of leaves.
Lovely park to bring kids. There are a lot of hills, theyll tired out easy.

Beautiful park with lots of space and lots of activities for kids! You’ll have space for fun and space to relax as well.
Park itself is beautiful, but the teenagers that come here for the skate park are usually loud and obnoxious, and have no care that many young children can hear them cussing like pirates.
Best park! Always parlty empty, its pretty. Theres a decent amount of space for a kid to run around in. The bathroom is surprising ly clean for a public bathroom.

Its great ocean view and beautiful trees make this park a wonderful place to visit and the history it has also you must look up when visiting this park
Trees, grass, a big hill, a small waterpark, two playgrounds (one for little kids, one for big kids), a nice path around the hill to a beautiful plaza-like space at the top... a wonderful park to live near.
I love that this park is almost always empty and you can be truly 1:1 with nature!

Great place for outdoor activity, theres a skate park and basketball court, childrens play ground , kids water playground, and a huge open field for you to run all day long, once you get into the park, you can see the hill and how tall it goes, over the hill you can see the pier and take the ferry to Manhattan ( SB ) and also get a great view, coming to the park at night is a bit shady because of drug deals and gang activity during night fall

Great place for going for a walk to take your kids and to have a picnic when it snows you can go sledding here and they actually keep this place very clean and it’s very big so you can bring your dog there because they have a dog park as well.
The park itself is very good, children are sleding in the snow, but today the air is very bad, I do not know what the exhaust is
Nice varied area. Clean, well stocked bathroom. Did some bird watching while sitting on a park bench.
The views from this park are phenomenal but I love the mix of hills, playgrounds, walking and hiking paths and the skate park. The park has something for everyone (including shade) and is well-maintained.

2021-11-04Walking around the park is awesome, you are able to admire the foliage, if you like to climb , theres a hill where you can walk,or run.Once on the top of the hill, you can see the boats sailing across the Bay. Dont forget to enjoy the view of the heart of the city.

2022-04-22One of the best parks in Brooklyn. Most days of summer and fall are spent here by many people who live in Bay Ridge. Good for family celebrations, hangouts, outdoor games, etc. Has a good scenery of the pier. Well maintained. Has a restroom but not sure how well it is maintained. Has 4 Basketball courts, a kids play area and a skate park.

2021-10-07It is suitable for walking, jogging, and there are also entertainment facilities suitable for children. The only thing I hate is that there are too many mosquitoes, and I was bitten several places in a short while

2022-05-29Thank you park 10/1009.24.21 beautifully fresh mowed lawn to walk to and the ladies room were clean for public restrooms. (close at 16:00)so thank you nyc parks and rec staff!yes the park does need some renovations. ¯\/_(ツ)_/¯09.01.21 nice, but attacked by ghats.

2022-06-25Yep I was there for gay ridge Pride event on June 5th.. I didnt know there was so many hills after the injury I have.. Id eventually got up there l dont know how. Its a nice wide place. Has beautiful scenery looking down slope towards the waterfront and the majestic looking bridge. You have a nice time there enjoy them Sunset there its beautiful

2022-05-29Great place for family all age to play in playground, water park, basket court, skate board and work out area too in the park. When u walk up the hill you well see the best view on the shore and sunset. Great place to panic with alot of tree around the area.

2022-02-24Just a beautiful park, love to take my kids sledding here. This park is nice for a picnic day, it also has a skate park, as well as small kid area with your usual slide, swing and monkey bar.
