The room and bathroom were very clean, bed was comfortable, and the staff was friendly. No complaints!I actually met James (the owner) and found out he recently acquired the Buena Vista and renovated a lot of the property. If youre reading reviews, give the Buena Vista a chance!Last but not least, our 4 year-old left his favorite toy behind. Put in the mail the next day and he was overjoyed to get it back!Thanks Buena Vista!
We went to see our son in SUNY Delhi. Location was great. The room had a smell. The Grout in bathroom looked liked it haven’t been cleaned in months. The bed was firm and the staff was really nice!

Affordable and has the necessities needed to get by. Heat, air conditioning, a warm shower, microwave, small refrigerator, tv/cable, continental breakfast for each person in the party is a plus too! Bianca is a great and cheerful hostess along with the rest of her family. 👍
It fit its purpose of a place close to Delhi to send him off to college. We had the three bed room and the beds were comfortable. Tv wasn’t working but we were barely in the room. Definitely a small town motel with lots of work needed. Bathroom was sketchy but it was a great rate and location was perfect. Will rebook.
This was an absolute terrible stay. We booked as we were attending a wake and funeral in Walton. We arrived into Delhi around 7:45pm to find nothing open for a meal. So we had to buy items at grocery store. The check in process took 15 minutes and very slow. They gave you your breakfast bags at check in. Once we got to our rooms we opened the doors to be blasted by what smelled like 30 years of smoke built up. Dingy, Curtains wouldn’t close, heaters didn’t work and the room was so small the door almost hit the bed when you opened it. When i plugged in a hair dryer it popped a fuse. The other room we booked for our parents had the exact same smell and when they turned on the shower it set the fire alarm off. They also had no heat and curtains would not close. It’s difficult when Delhi has no other accommodations. The location was booked and had no other rooms available. We will never come back. Worse stay and sleepless night I’ve had at any locations .
The Buena Vista has been a stop for me for several years. Some years are better than others. This year was great! I need a bed, a shower and access to Delhi and a remote location in Andes. The Buena Vista is quiet and clean. I love that it’s small and family run. I will continue to stay every year!
The hotel was clean and the staff were really friendly and accommodating. My only issue was with being in the end unit and WiFi just didnt reach our room. They also gave us a very nice abundant breakfast in a bag to take to our room. That was great.
Ok let’s start with room 108s location. It’s adjacent to the lobby with a residential door separating the two. I could clearly hear the conversations from the lobby in my room. Clearly the hotel has not been renovated post 1970 since each electrical appliance is plugged into a 3 to 2 prong ground adapter. The window AC is at least 30 years old and the grill was replaced with some makeshift heating radiator type mesh. The dust built up inside the AC is clearly seen just looking inside. The TV powers up but the cable box shows an error code. The bathtub is some 3’ version of a regular tub with a slow drain that builds up water as you shower. The tub caulking is mostly moldy and alloyed way to thick. The sink was good. The toilet is a residential round front sized for a child. Towels were clean along with bed sheets.
It is nightmare if your room is just by their reception room. Continuously humming drive you crazy impossible to sleep. The humming sound probably caused by refrigerator but it goes through the wall becomes louder especially during the night. A few steps outside the room you hear nothing. So if you want stay here, check if you can bear the sound before 11pm
The staff was all very nice. the outside of the building was just painted and looked good. the inside of our room was clean, but so outdated and needed much help. the beds were comfortable and we slept well. i would stay there again, i just hope that the rooms will be completed by then. again, staff was all very friendly!!.
Good, affordable place to stay. You dont expect luxury but what you do expect is a clean room, pleasant staff and quiet surroundings. My room was very clean, the living space was updated, good amount of cable channels on a TV that actually worked. Bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean except for the shower - which was clean but the older tile probably cant get super clean anymore. Person who checked me in was super nice! Not noisy, I couldnt hear the guests next door at all. Coffee at breakfast was actually good! I will definitely stay here again.
Basic with a good continental breakfast..the breakfast was nice. we were not expecting any but there was a variety of bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, breads, and keurig coffee. flowers in kitchen area and by the hotel sign were great. desk staff was very helpful.had to ask for a heater. room seemed to be under renovation.
I book because it said recently remodeled. We stayed before room was in the same shape. Must of gotten a room not updated yet. Room smelled of cigarettes and the heat would not turn off. Bathroom not updated at all, holes by the faucets. It was convenient for the purpose of our visit. I think we’ll stay in Oneonta and do the drive down next time.
The hotel has signs at the front desk and makes it clear online that it’s a non-smoking hotel, but this rule is definitely not followed. The stench of cigarette smoke in our room took us aback as soon as we opened the door, and stayed strongly even with the window fully open and the fan on at the same time. It was as if someone had just been smoking all day before we walked in. Absolutely disgusting.
The surrounding area is gorgeous. The people who run the hotel are very sweet and accommodating. The hotel itself is showing some age and needs some updating. None the less, I will definitely stay here again when the need arises.
The staff was friendly. My room was clean and properly equipped. There was also plenty of space to park my truck and 40 foot trailer.

Underwhelming and needs work..the staff is friendly and polite.i had to switch room three times (and i'm easy), due to a leak, and then the general lack of facilities in the budget room i was put in to due to the leak. the rooms all have missing bits and pieces and seem to be in disrepair, though quite clean.
Nice place to stay! Clean and affordable with a well stocked room and a breakfast bag to go. When in Delhi this will be my place to go. Very friendly atmosphere 👍👍
Absolutely disgusting. My husband and I had business to take care of in Delhi and booked a room at the Buena Vista. Upon arrival, we were not impressed with the room; the vertical blinds were broken and did not cover the whole window and the room was the bare minimum and extremely outdated. Okay, you get what you pay for. When we went in the bathroom, the shower had moldy caulking that was falling apart and the side panel was held together with duct tape. There were brownish stains smeared on the wall near the toilet. Pretty awful. The real kicker was when we turned down the bed. There were hairs (pubic hairs) and MULTIPLE hard, crusty, patches of stains all over the sheets. Vile! We called the front desk and asked for a new room. Low and behold, room number two revealed the same disgraceful artifacts in the bed sheets. They must be renting this place by the hour and not cleaning in between. We were so disgusted we asked for our money back and drove 30 minutes in the ice and snow to another hotel in the neighboring town. DO NOT STAY HERE!
Rooms are clean and quiet; water is hot and plentiful; staff is helpful
No breakfast. No coffee in rooms. Ask for microwave and fridge, no problem. Laminate flooring laid over carpet. Its ok if youre desperate. Great tv & WiFi. Towels felt like they were washed in hard water without fabric softener.
Nice quiet place . Beautiful location with hills around . Gracious and helpful hosts . I would love to stay her again in a future fall trip .
The staff from checking in to the day we left were friendly and helpful. The room and bedding were clean and updated. The bathrooms are old but they were clean and functional.
Just say no! I understand that this is an older hotel, and that is fine. But it has to be the dirtiest motel that Ive ever stayed in...the floor had footprints on it, wall in the bathroom was moldy, the room smelled musty, paint was peeling, blankets and sheets were stained and Im not even sure if they were washed, the TV would turn on but wasnt connected to anything...I could continue, but wont. If there was anything closer, I would have left immediately. Why 2 stars instead of one? The air conditioning worked well and the water in the shower (once the rust color abated) was quite hot with good pressure. Definitely not a place to bring your kids or for the faint of heart.
This place is dirty, the people are strange, hot water is iffy at best, just dirty. My feet were black from the floors in the “ house”. No mattress cover to hide stains of blood. Kitchen not stocked for cooking and eating needs. Stay on Oneonta at a new hotel. Hotel rooms carpet is filthy no deep cleaning ever done. Beware.

I have recommended the Buena Vista to friends coming in from out of town in the past. this is a very friendly family run facility. Rooms are very nice and spotless. Service is great, with very helpful people behind the counter. Ive known fancier places where I was left feeling like they were doing me a favor by taking my money. Not so here. I heartily recommend the Buena Vista to anyone exploring the area for the first time, or any time.
We got a large room for an okay price. Room was clean, there was evidence theyve been fixing things up but its still a work in progress. Free breakfast is pretty basic.
For the value i wouln't mind checking in again..nice breakfast, excellent staff and a nice touch on bed set up. the location works for us since we have a few other location to visit along the way.the soda machine was not working during our stay, but no biggy.
James was very accommodating after i worked a 15 hour day. Good place to catch some zzzz. Short drive/long walk to restaurants & grocery stores on Rte 10. I would stay here again if i were in the area again.

Most horrible place I have ever stayed. The room smelt like old smoke and mold, which was really intense. The floor was sticky with brown footprints on it. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
I absolutely love the Buena Vista in Delhi. From the second we checked in and met the owner Joe with his smile and charm, he made us feel at home from the minute we got their. The room was wonderful, charming and had everything we needed. Breakfast was wonderful, we could not have asked for a better place. We hope to come back during hunting season and skiing season and the Buena Vista will be the only place we stay.
The rates are negotiable and honestly for the price its not a bad hotel occasionally you might get a little yelling in between the walls but everybody is pretty civil regardless and if you need a quick place to crash its really not that bad The people were friendly
Very excellent Motel the staff are amazing a great help have accommodations for 80 foot tractor trailers . Rooms are very clean and spacious very satisfied with BUENA VISTA INN would definitely be making this a stop anytime I’m in the area
This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. There was poop in the toilet when we got there, and the room was filthy. There was dried seamen on the blankets, and the shower was filthy with broken shelves that had a ton of mold growing behind it. Do not stay here if you are visiting the area.
Reserved a smoke free room, smelled like an ashtray when you walked in. T.v. did not work. Could not get shower to adjust, either way to hot or way to cold.
Very kind family owned hotel. Very easy to work with weather renting or staying for the night. Overall very happy with how the hotel is managed. :)
Its a nice place to stay and I appreciate their hospitality. I like to visit Delhi again with my family and wish to stay at the same restaurant.

It is a very inviting hotel with a very pleasant customer service. Very clean and well presented. Liked the location too. Breakfast was good. Will definitely stay there again.
Very discount hotel , from entry to the parking lot it feels like a short stay hotel , the rooms are in bad shape , the flooring is in terrible shape ,(ie water damaged and torn apart laminate.the bathrooms are not only outdated but musty and has smells of mildew, the water also has a strange odor and the shower head in my room struggled to sprinkle water. I would recommend only in an emergency, else find another hotel.

Room smelt like cigarettes, there were a few holes in the wall, toilet chain broke, mold on the shower curtain, everything in these rooms needs to be updated, we are never staying here again.

Bed bug inn...the only way to kill them is to tear the whole place down. The locals will warn you NOT to go here.

A typical American motel, which is unfortunately getting very old. The continental breakfast is very incomplete.However, you can spend a pleasant night there, with a good WiFi connection. The managers are very welcoming and warm.The bathroom, too, is quite dated, but no problems with hygiene, joints, or mold, are to be deplored. Several care products are also provided by the Motel.You can also use a small fridge and air conditioning in your roomIn short, a practical motel for one night during a road trip, but not for an extended stay.
A hotel not too bad overall, a very nice manager and all the basic services requested, a good bathroom, WI-FI, a fridge..etc .. But all this spoiled by an aging place , a breakfast too basic and not very good as well as an awakening based on truck noise that recedesGood for one night and thats it

2022-06-05Nice little economical place to rest the night after a long drive. Has all the essentials you would need for a comfortable easy stay, and everything works. The bed and room was clean, and has a lived-in feel, just like your home. You get a breakfast bag to go, and free coffee in the morning. Nothing extravagant but everything essential you would need. Good friendly customer service at the front desk too. Will definitely recommend!

2022-02-24We reserved two rooms for our family to stay while visiting our parents in Delhi NY. All the rooms that we were given, smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. We asked for different rooms, we were told there was only one other room available, we thought it might smell a little better, but it was hard to tell because the hotel was using floral air freshener to mask the cigarette smell. Later when we returned to go to bed, we realized that this room also smelled of smoke. We noticed that there were people housed below our rooms, they were smoking outside of the rooms. During the night, the smoke smell seemed to get worse, so strong that it was burning our noses. We were having trouble breathing and having trouble trying to go to sleep. The smoke was coming through the building from the unit below, smoke was coming into our room through the walls and the exhaust vent in the bathroom. There were people making noise throughout the night from the unit underneath, playing the television at high volume. People in the room below ours, seemed to be up for most of the night, then around 4:30 in the morning, in the room underneath, a woman and man started shouting at each other.The room interiors were old and outdated, with old windows that have been painted so much that they are difficult to open, old secondhand furnishings, wall paneling, windows and doors painted over many times, cheap laminate flooring, cheap plastic blinds. The hotel has never been fully renovated.We heard bad things about this hotel in the past. We read that the hotel was under new management and had undergone a renovation. We were not familiar with the hotel brand OYO. We thought perhaps the hotel might have improved with new management and renovations, that it might be better than what we had heard about it. If it was worse before, this wasnt too much of an improvement. Weve stayed in many hotels and this one was the worst that we can recall.

2022-04-25Our power went out thanks to a snowstorm & the proprietors of this hotel graciously let us stay in a room with our pets for three days. Our room was spacious, clean (I liked that the floors werent carpeted) & there was great wifi. My only complaint is that cigarette smoke floated into the room at all hours. It would be a nicer place if there were no smoking in or near any of the rooms.

2022-04-04I stayed here years ago and was very unsatisfied with it, I was hoping things had gotten better with the new branding......It has not.....It is worseHair all over the bathroom and not clean at all. Place looks like its in disrepair...Feels dirtier and more unsafe than the last time...Bring disinfectant and your own linens including towels. Leave your valuables in your car....

2022-04-21Cute little place to stay. Provides the necessities such as bed, bathroom, wifi, air conditioning. TV didn’t work but we didn’t really use it. I loved how it was quiet to get work down though! Would come again if needed

2022-05-15It was a very nice stay. The front desk was very personable and the rooms were very clean. The electrical outlets are a little outdated so I had to charge my devices in the bathroom.

2022-02-20. Very dirty do not recommend at all. Told the front deck and showed pictures. Cobweb on the ceiling, dirty Q-tips on the floor, dirty sheets with black marks on them.

2022-06-12Don’t stay here! This place is in horrible condition. Broken light fixtures, radiators half off the walls, bathroom door so swollen it can’t be closed, dirt in all corners! I took photos but don’t see a place to post on here.
