Person at front desk was courteous but put their own personal phone chitchat ahead of our check-in, had to wait 1 to 2 minutes after they arrived at desk to begin checkin process.Location was great for someone who has transportation like rental car and wants to be out of (but near) town. Town is charming and friendly.Room security is decent, no issues with hot water, limited outlet availability in rooms, lamp cord in my room looked frayed /sketchy. Bedding did not appear clean, also significant stains on mattress cover (or sheet, whatever). Multiple mosquitoes in my room, wife complained of bites.
I tried to post this before but its not showing up.Do NOT stay at this hotel! I cant stress this out enough! Dont stay here its not worth it! This is the only time I have ever left a bad review anywhere in my entire life. That is how bad this experience was. I have never had a worse customer service experience. The people who run this hotel are not ethical and are very rude.I booked two rooms a few weeks in advanced through one of the booking websites. When we got there at 5:00 pm the wife of the owner told me that she only had one room available. There were still guests in the other room and we would have to wait two hours until that room opened up. She then saw that there were 3 of us and not 2 of us. She started to get upset that there was another person. She started to get excited and raised her voice. She told me she was charging me 25 dollars extra for the extra person. I was surprised at that and I did not like the way was treating us. I have paid for two rooms so what if I have another person with us??? What difference does that make? and I was disappointed that the room was not ready but I said ok. She took a 100 dollar deposit and gave us a key. I told her we would be back later.We then went to a family members house for dinner and at 9:30 we were back. I sent my wife to go get the other key as I really disliked her attitude when we were there before. My wife called me and said she needs to see me. When I went in she told me that my reservation was cancelled!!! WHAT??? She told me I canceled it. I said no I didnt. She started screaming at us. You want to call the cops!!! Go ahead and call them! Its canceled its not our fault!!!! I would not accept it was cancelled as I did not cancel it. I did not get an email. The husband owner came out as he could hear her yelling. He told me he could give us 2 rooms. I said ok and he asked for my credit card!!!! He wanted to charge me again!!!!!!! NO! NO! NO! I was not going to be charged again! I told them I do not trust them and I would never give them a dime. They were trying to double book the rooms. I slammed the key hard on the desk and told them they were scammers and that I would be leaving bad reviews everywhere. The wife started screaming at me again and I got out of there.The hotel itself is not in good shape. Its very run down. I was going to stay there anyway until they made that impossible for me. I really believe they do this scam a lot. If you use a booking website they will pretend not to see your reservation and try to charge you again.The booking websites should really take them out of their systems. This hotel is a run down hole in the wall that really needs to be closed down. I called the website I used and after an hour of explaining to them what happened I did get my refund.Pay a little extra to go somewhere else. You would be better off sleeping in your car than at this place!
Tub was nice! Service charge for smoking in the room (in which we did not) so room cost us double! The lock on the door didnt work so when you left to get back in the room you had to go to the check in desk to get let back into the room! One of the worse places ever to stay! Would not recommend! We gave them a second chance an tried again staying there .. door problem was still not fixed will never stay there again!
This place was a nightmare. Normally youd think, maybe someone is exaggerating when reviewing but no! This was straight out of a horror movie. Lets start by saying it says Hotel in the name but its for sure a Motel. (Accuratly named Motel from Hell by this reviewer) Now we were eight women and booked the 3 bedroom suite and did not get anything near as advertised. The pictures online does not represent what was given at all. One of the doors in our room had keep out written on it in pink paint that dripped and dried up. There were supposed to be four beds but only three were in the room. Well, the gentleman that was working walked over to the shed and pulled out a sandwich bed and proceeded to make the bed in the parking lot. He then closed it back up and rolled it into our room. There was some unknown splatter on the ceiling that had us all freaked out. And the room wasnt even fully painted. It seemed like there were some huge holes in the walls and they covered it up with spackle or something. Not only that, we went to turn on the AC and there was so much dust and a few dead bugs. Didnt turn it on after seeing that. So we went to open a window and not only were there dead flies but the window screen had a huge cut in it that someone can climb through the outside. We closed that back up. Went to use the fridge but it was not only dirty but unplugged. To top it all off, we wanted to leave and couldnt because all the other hotels in the area were full. So we wrapped up our hair in our sweaters because thats how itchy and gross it felt in there and We slept there for three hours. 4am to 7am. We woke up with itchy eyes, scratchy throats and some slight coughing. Turns out there was mold behind the beds and some cabinets. And the curtains were DUSTY. Never staying there again, the place pretty much tried to kill us if youd ask me. When we tried to talk to the person at the office they basically said they cant do anything, cant give us a refund. They said they just work there and got dropped off by the owners, they dont know what to do. (understandably not his fault) however, very annoying that the owners would just drop off an employee when they know how many complaints they would get. Well if you wanted a review here you got one, if you looking for somewhere to stay, just DONT do it.- Traumatized Eight Women
Don’t ever stay here. I just spent the weekend with 3 of my friends. I reserved a room with 2 queen beds. I arrive and they tell me they don’t have that room available but they have a room with 4 double beds. We were all happy because we got our own bed. Once we opened the room there was dead bugs everywhere and there was a needle under the bed. This place was so sketch. Turned on the lights and they made that high pitch sound that flickered the hotel smelt so bad. Once I go to check out the lady tells me she had to keep my $100 deposit because we used all 4 beds instead of 2. I’ve never heard of something like this. This place is a total scam and the owners are scam artists. Contemplating on filing a civil complaint on the company. But never would stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
This Hotel is a joke. They advertise dog friendly and when you arrive with your dog they yell at you and call you a liar. Then charge you 40 dollars. This is poorly managed, dirty and the people running are complete animals. I’ve never been treated so poorly by people who depend on my business. They have some sort of entitlement bc they know you can’t easily dispute hotel charges, but they will have a surprise with my bank. Save yourself the headache. We passed so many cute hotels on the way here.
When we called they never told us about the deposit on top of the room fee and they were very rude with me when I told them I was just on the phone and J they didnt tell me about it when they told me my total for the room was only 103 not 103 and another 100 on top of it so when I canceled because I dont have that on my card I wont get my money for 7 to 14 days
I booked this on booking.com , the photos are NOT at all like the rooms. There were dead bugs on the floor of the bathroom and also in the bedding. Pillows had stains on them, Smelled of cigarette smoke, and industrial cleaning fluid. The floor wasn’t vacuumed and probably wasn’t for a long time. I couldn’t stay there They wouldn’t reimburse me. I am beyond upset how booking could allow pictures that have nothing to do with this motel.
If a zero was an option...Bugs, stains, zero concern or remorse for patrons. Multiple outlets in room no power, active bugs in room and on beds. Stains on chairs beds and floor. Called front desk with no answer. Went to desk with other patron voicing similar complaints. Turned away with no answers or sympathy. Have moved to other location.
If you want a place to stay that is safe, clean, and inexpensive and do not need a fancy room while your eyes are closed in sleep . . . this place is just fine. The Host family is wonderful, and you can expect a good stay just outside Seneca Falls.
Made a reservation and even confirmed. I have email and text confirmation about my stay. Show up to check in and the front desk has no record of it.Call customer support and they said they wont cancel my reservation in case I get charged. Charged for what?? A room that was not available.Avoid this motel .
The room smelled , dead mouse by wall and then when we went to figure out why the TV didnt work there was roaches in the drawer. We left everything there and came home.

Awful!!! Fridge didn’t work so had to run to get ice after spending day moving daughter into dorm room! Came back exhausted... only to find lock was broke! Had to use a chair to somewhat secure room for som and I!!!
Bedspread was stained and dirty as were the bed sheets! Upholstered chairs in Room also dirty! Bed not comfortable! Parking lot was muddy and mud had been tracked into room. Overall room was a mess! Looked like a bunch of unwanted furniture was jammed into a small space! Walls looked like they had been repaired and only partially finished! Paint missing! Only 2 towels and 1 cup and no ice! And even worse we were charged ten dollars more than what was quoted! Will not return to this dump!
The room was very clean and the management went out of their way to accommodate us, we will definitely be staying there again.
Really the only positive thing I can say about this place is that its clean. Over priced and tried to actually charge us more than what we were originally quoted. None of the outlets in our room worked except for the one that the lamp was plugged into. Was told we had queen size beds but they were full size. No handsoap provided. Staff was snippy. We were on the second floor and the staircase was very narrow and the stairs and handle were shaky.
The gentleman at the desk was friendly and the lady who gave us a better key was friendly for the most part it was a good stay and good for the location we went to lakeside entertainment. y.well the picture on the internet was wrong of the room its very miss leading the name is wrong also. the room could have been cleaner. needs to paint.
Called to reserve a room was told it was reserved drove 40 minutes out of my way with a crying 1 year old at 3am just to find out they guy booking didn’t even check to see if it was available through their customer experience service. Arrived with 1 hour of sleep and a crying baby to find out the room he reserved me was never available. Will NEVER boom with them again.
Took over an hour to check in to the room, and once we got into the room there was a broken window and the shower head was missing. Also found some ants in the room. Would not recommend.
No heat in the room we reserved , with jetted tub . the owner said that the heater takes time and the wind comes right in the door and the room isnt insulated good. The manager put us in a different room but no jetted tub which I really wanted.😣I would not recommend this hotel.

Booked my reservation online showed up after driving 4 hours they insisted on another 100$ after I already paid 100$ I said Im going to see if I can cancel my reservation as I dont want to pay another 100$ they told me to leave I got no refund drove up the road to a different hotel where I was told there that this hotel had bed bugs and has recently released prisoners stay there from the prison they have an arrangement with them I have never in my life left a bad review on anything please trust me when I say dont go there I should of known as soon as I pulled in it even looked shady it was already 930pm and I had my children in the car so we were just hoping to get some sleep so sad people just arent nice anymore
Horrible “Man” running this dump. REFUSED TO HONOR EXPEDIA RATE. Read it’s reviews on Expedia just to name one site. Refused to let me check in at normal check in time(3:00pm) Said the computer showed I was trying to check in too early and he told me it wasn’t his fault and to come back at 4 or pay $20 more to stay. So I come back at 4pm, & and this swine Demanded I pay a 100$ deposit, and charged my card a RESERVATION FEE. Total scam artists. 3 & 1/2 star HOTELS don’t even charge a 100$ deposit, and nobody would pay it, to stay at this place. He allows to county to place the homeless addicts in active addiction here.
Very nice people run this motel, they keep it clean and tidy. The outside is well taken care of. Old school charm that I appreciate.
Well what was supposed to be afford nights today turned into 12 night stay simply because you cant beat the friendliness the friendliness and the professionalism of the staff. Dont be fooled by driving by and think its just your everyday Motel because its not. Usually when youre running late and you just have to sleep somewhere you picked the first place to see and it usually turns out give me some crummy place but not here. I have a sink refrigerator in microwave and a TV a warm bed hot shower.The only thing I wish they had what is a monthly rate because I would not have any problem living here on a monthly basis obviously cant do that with daily rate I have to be a millionaire but affordable monthly rate I would stay.Manny where believes the owner does the great job running the show. Ive asked him several times that I would pay decent amount of rent and work for him to stay here on a monthly basis. So far no luck but my fingers are still crossed. Maybe Manny but his bosses will see this and make me that offer please.
This is absolutely the worst place I have ever stayed at in my LIFE. The beds were tiny and lifted up on plywood. There was blood on the walls, and dirty floors and counter tops. I was honesty so disgusted that I slept fully clothed. The hotel staff was extremely rude and there is no way that this motel is clean enough for a safe stay. I wouldve rather slept in my car than in this hotel but he refused me a refund. To be completely honest I felt disgusted to even use the bathroom as I didnt trust the water. The shampoo and soap was so out after that the shampoo actually was crusty when I tried using it. The rooms were horrendous and blood covered parts of the walls. They were also extremely dirty and I wish the department of health would do a health inspection because this motel would not pass. The carpet in my room had about 4 large stains that didnt seem to ever be cleaned along with dirt on the carpet in the corners near the beds. I wish I never stayed here and honestly felt so violated. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS, YOU ARE BETTER OFF SLEEPING IN YOUR CAR!!! P.S. This is the first review Ive ever felt the need to write in my entire life. I hate to be so negative but there is nothing positive about this motel. I tried getting a refund right as soon as I saw the state of the rooms but the owner would not work with me whatsoever. Do. Not. Stay. Here.
After eating, I had walked around this community looking at the B&B as well as motels. Most were overpriced for what you got. This one looks over priced to begin with. It is nice, clean, and comfortable. It is a little old. Staff is very friendly. This was my first stay here, but will probably use again if I return.
This motel can best be described as rustic. The staff was very accommodating, but the phone didnt work. It was quiet, the sheets were clean and the had a vacancy when everything else was all booked up.
I would give a big 0… Awful staff. A very sketchy place. Live mousetrap under the bed. I just would rather pay way more than ever stay there again.

This is a crackhead hotel. If I were looking for meth this is where I’d go. The staff were rude and dirty. Booked for four people then when we arrived they said they couldn’t accommodate four. They refused to give our money back then asked us to come back and stay when on the phone attempting to get our money back. They had a family with two young children living in the parking lot. Don’t go here.
Staff was friendly enough but it wasnt as clean as advertised. Bathroom light switch was broken and the fridge had a questionable smell.
Very clean rooms! Was very impressed with service we received! Owners were very nice and accomodating as we had our boat with us. No issue with space for parking it or plugging it in. Will definitly stay there again!

Seems, they steal money from bank cards. We stayed for 1 night in September, my card was charged.But after a month, in October, to my surprise it was charged again for the same sum.I wrote them a letter, but its November, and its still silence.Motel is nice, but seems they dont care about their reputation.
This place is AWFUL! The room had no heat, half the lights didnt work, there was a cat in the room. We reserved a room with a king size bed, they didnt have one. The stairs to get to the second floor didnt feel safe. I would never stay at this place.
Got a room here last minute after our other reservations were screwed up. $85 for clean sheets and very hot water. Cant complain. Not a new hotel, but also not $230! If you need a place to sleep for a night, this works.

Booked in late July online for 1 night end of August, my Credit Card was immediately charged (thats wrong!) Cancelled online on Aug 1, got the cancellation confirmation number. 3 weeks later still no refund to Credit Card, so I got the fraud department of my Credit Card involved. I tried to contact Starlite directly from their webpage, would not go through. NEVER, EVER book online for Starlite. They should never have charged my credit card until the date I reserved.
Under the guise of OYO. This is the worst place. Dirty, people not nice and charged my cc undo charges. Also people live here full time.

2022-06-22I booked this room for a fishing tournament we were attending way back in March and I got a very good rate and a confirmation. An hour before we were ready to arrive that reservation was canceled and a new reservation was put in its place for $140 more for the 3 days. I called oleo and they were a little help. They directed me back to the owner of the property. When I told him that I had booked it he said I called and canceled it which was a lie. He knew it too. He told me if I didnt like it I could go find a room somewhere else. If anyone ever books a room here, make sure you have something in writing. Although it did me, no good to make sure that youre charged the correct price. On top of that, the rooms were dirty. The toilets were clogged and the electric for the boat kept kicking out during the night. All in all I would not stay there if it was for free. Theres nothing anyone could say to me that would make me feel better about the people, the property or the service. Buyer. Beware XXX! Of that sounds pretty good cover

2022-04-27They cancelled one of my two rooms one hour before I arrived after a four hour drive. They offered me and my husband a repair room for the night. I looked at room and it was in need of repair but for one night it was ok. In the morning I had gotten bitten by bed bugs. The owners rudely would not work with me to reimburse me the cost. She stated that I agreed to the room, which I did, but bed bugs come out overnight. If I had known I would never have stayed there. I did call the health department. I would never stay there again. There is no one else to work with if you have a problem other than the rude owners. I would rate this motel fall less than a one star. Everyone beware!!!!!!

2022-05-17I have been on the road for 12 hrs and I need a room to stay in.so I found the oyo hotel on Google and decided to book a room, the room was very clean and comfy. Best room with a jacuzzi and not bad for pricing.so I will make sure when Im down there again, I book a room again.

2022-03-08Positive: I needed to make a room change and the staff was very accommodating. Negative: Heater in second room did not work and to complicate the situation, one of the windows at the top of the door was covered with plastic that allowed further cold temperatures in. After already changing rooms (no TV in 1st), I didnt want to change again.

2022-02-20This is an older hotel. It doesnt look like much but appears to be under renovation. I stayed in a king room with jacuzzi and was very pleased given the rate. The woman at the desk was extremely helpful.

2022-01-19Paid around $60 per night after everything and I feel like I way over paid. House keeping didnt come once during my stay and there were food crumbs on the floor when I arrived. This entire hotel needs a complete overhaul.

2021-09-13Smell emanating from air conditioner which was filthy, despite my cleaning the air filter. No backup generator, I was up at 5 AM the next day, and took a shower in the dark, none of the lights worked, the electricity was out. I actually wanted to cancel my reservation, because the woman I had called at the front desk to inform her of my arrival was incredibly rude and hung up on me. I had already made a reservation, on Booking.com. I had no way out of it however, as it was a same day booking (unless I lost the whole paid amount). Listen, I get it. This is a family run business, theyre likely doing the best they can. Small business people are out of luck in this country, everyone has to work for large corporations, and somehow get a piece of the pie. Big business buys out everything, everyone else pays the bill.

2021-09-10The place was falling apart - toliet leaking, shower had no shower head, and the non-smoking room smelled like cigarettes. Outside seemed nice. Beds were comfy. Everything was unplugged so at first it seemed like nothing worked. Internet was not working and the person at the front desk blamed it on the hurricane, which made no sense since the area was not hit by the hurricane.
