It was our first time coming here and had high hopes. I have other favorite brewery spots and thought I’d give this place a try. Unfortunately we had a very bad experience with a brunette lady working there. She was extremely rude Since we walked in and had an attitude the whole time for no reason. We were in a great mood going in and she destroyed our experience and killed our good mood. No one going out for a good time should feel this way because of staff. We will definitely not be returning. I will stick to my other favorite brewery spots.
Their brews are pretty solid. I had their limited edition Santas Milk and Cookies milk stout, which was fairly good, so hopefully they bring that back. Their Milkshake IPA was also quite good. Unfortunately, even though Im only located 3 to 4 hours away from them, the shipping on their products is insanely high. I realize that that may be UPSs fault, but I wish they would find a more efficient way to ship at least within NYS. Because its nearly $40 to get a 4-pack of their stuff (with the shipping costs) and I cant exactly visit their brewery anytime soon, I kind of wish I could give them a 3.5 star rating, but, as I said, their brews are pretty decent.
Absolutely horrible experience. The bartenders are the most miserable, unfriendly and rude people I have ever encountered at an establishment. Specifically the brunette women. The beer is average at best, there are much better brewery’s to go to on Long Island, with a much more welcoming atmospheres. I will never go back here or support this brewery again.
Bartender was extremely rude. It was me and my boyfriend at the bar and another man. I was maybe like 4 or 5 ft away from him looking at the menu and the lady helping him told me to stay 6 ft away from the customer. I was a bit away already but sure I understand the rules. No problem. I apologized and took 1 step to the left. When she turned to serve us she still sounded like she had an attitude so I just bought 1 drink instead of a flight like intended. Keep in mind the bar is pretty long. As she rings us up 2 guys come to the bar and are ALOT closer to me than I was to the previous customer. About 1 body space away from me. And she said NOTHING to them at all. She definitely saw because she was standing in front of us taking our money but kept quiet. The beer wasnt that good for me to return and Ive definitely told all my friends and coworkers to avoid this place. We took 3 sips and left the bar after 5minutes
I was in the area with friends and we stopped here for some drinks before going home. The establishment was well managed and made us really comfortable with the way they controlled the current covid situation. Now, for the drinks: we tried several and they had a great selection of beers. Wemhile I wouldnt say that there are any that we hated, I WILL say that Summer Peach was certainly a group favorite. The bartender was polite and great at handling those of use at the establishment and pickups at the same time. Space and beverages: A+, Service: A++. We definitely plan to go back.
Great beers and very cool helpful staff. Only real gripe is that children were running wild (like throwing corn-hole bags at the heads of patrons, peeing all over the bathroom floor, and climbing on virtually everything wild). Staff did their best to mediate, but its a bit much for a Friday evening. Perhaps designated hours for children might be better, as this is indeed a brewery and not a trampoline park.
3 stars is high!!! But while beer selection was limited - new master brewer starting- the beer is good. The staff is friendly and for the most part helpful. Facilities not so great. With a nice location and good space...they dont know what they want to be. Could really be something....but it is more of a mess then an experience. Not sure if i will go back with so msny other breweries on long island. Shame since they are positioned to do something. Just not worth the visit. Just buy the beer
Very disappointed with this brewery considering the amount of good reviews. Beer was very generic. A few in the flight tasted the same. The groupon we got did not specify that we couldnt choose what beers go in the flight and the growler we got was empty. Also, there were a ton of gnats flying around and on the walls. The atmosphere was cool and not too crowded though.
Im surprised I hadnt already reviewed Oyster Bay Brewing. Im also glad I didnt, as Id be updating my review right now.I went when OBB was very new -- tasting room was completely different and much smaller. Beer was not great.I went again in March 2017, and everything had changed. Large, clean, dog-friendly tasting room. Plenty of knowledgeable bartenders. Quality beers, and a lot to choose from.I am very happy to know they have made so many positive changes since they opened...of course growing pains are to be expected, and Im glad they worked out the kinks before having to close like lots of breweries do!Will definitely go back. Will definitely inform anyone who visited them before these great strides were made that they should reconsider and try again.I think they also have a groupon -- check them out with or without it...totally worth it!!!
Oyster Bay Brewery pumps out high quality delicious beers. My favorite is the Barn Rocker especially for Islander games whether I am home watching or in the arena (before COVID). My wife and I enjoy visiting breweries and OBB is on our list to visit next time we are ON the Island. Keep rocking the barn my friends! LGI!
Went here Friday night for the sole purpose to watch the Islanders game. I saw on social media that they had a partnership with the Islanders and their barn rocker beer, so figured it would be a good place to chill with some fellow fans. It wasnt. Place was empty, game was put on at our request but no sound. Very bright lights and the distinct smell of dog inside the brewery. Bartenders were friendly but were more interested in gossiping amongst themselves then interacting with the customers. Beer was ok, no food. Would not return
I hosted my boyfriends surprise 30th here last weekend. Overall the process was super easy, Heather was awesome to do deal with. The space for parties holds about 30 people, they reserve the middle area in the brewery with chairs and tables. Overall a great relaxing fun environment with games, good beer, and great service. We were able to bring our own catering, set up decorations, and bring our 100 pound boxer which really loved all the attention. A+ I would throw another event here as again Heather really was super accommodating. Thank you Oyster Bay Brewing Company staff!
An authentic, local microbrewery. Decent beer, but too many choices. Seasonal is usually a safe pick. Not very comfortable for sitting. A surprising amount of millennial moms with babies in strollers, as well as dogs. So, dog-friendly, I guess. A little dirty and noisy.
Met Billy in the parking lot. He told me about the restaurant brewery and I waited at the front door for it to open at three on a Friday afternoon. Once inside I met Stephanie it’s a beautiful intimate place. Definitely check out the beer I had a step papa pale. Normally I’m a sOpper but all of a sudden the glass was empty. Hey started with the New England chowder which was so delicious and very generous with the ingredients. Next came the spicy peel and eat shrimp. Who knew you could get such fresh seafood in the mountains !?! I’d give this place six stars if I could. I’ll be back soon. thanks Billy
Now reopened at 36 Audrey Lane, OBBC has outdone themselves with a magnificent new space in the heart of Oyster Bay. The new taproom is minimalistic for now, with a few tables set up prime for watching the big game on their two big screen TVs. But thats not why you should come here. For Nassaus North Shore, this can very easily become the neighborhood brewery, with a flood of locals always looking to grab a growler or a pint. For those looking to take the trip up Route 106, there are 24 taps (each beer is on two lines so both growlers and pints can be filled simultaneously). The staff is some of the friendliest Ive met in all my beer travels. And the beer ... well, lets just say Im looking forward to my next visit. With a wide variety of styles, any beer fan can find a new local favorite. Whether youre looking for an IPA casked with Galaxy hops (my personal favorite from the visit), a creamy oatmeal stout, or a light bodied saison, Oyster Bay Brewing has shown that theyre up to the task to meet the North Shores market.
2 words....Fan-Tastic.I am not normally a beer drinker but I was meeting friends and this is where they chose. Delicious and full of flavor. The only reason for not giving the 5th star was the price, as i said i am not a beer drinker and had no idea they cost so much. (but it was worth it)
Were from the opposite corner of the country and my wife and I had to find something to do for a couple of hours while our son was visiting some other landmark in Long Island (our trip was centered around Manhattan and he begged for us to take him). My wife and I meandered around for only a few minutes and then it was like seeing the Gates of Heaven open when I saw OBBC right in front of me (were from Portland, Oregon, a Mecca for microbrews). I really didnt expect to see a cool brewery in Oyster Bay. We sat down and had a couple of delicious IPAs while chatting with one of the cooler people in Oyster Bay, Heather. Im wearing my OBBC hat now...advertising this cool brewery way out here in Portland, Oregon!

2018-11-07Visited during a random early Friday but I really liked the overall vibe. Everyone was super friendly and I left with a bottle of their Downstairs Funk barrel aged sour. Seems like a great place to hang out with some friends.

2022-02-10Great craft beer brewed on site. Lots of options, with normally 12 plus drafts. Good place to meet up with friends have a delicious cold beer while enjoying the game. There are also arcade games on site and board games. Loads to do! If youre new to the craft beer game this is an awesome spot to begin your adventure into the world of local craft beers. You will leave loving at least one type of beer even if you arent a normal beer drinker.

2021-12-20There’s a sign that says wait to be seated. I stand at the entrance waiting for 10 minutes. An employee finally comes up to me but with no “Hello, welcome, let me seat you or you can seat yourself.” Instead she says tells me to move my arm so she can get a newspaper for one of the other customers. I never felt so unwelcome in my whole life at any establishment. Maybe it’s because I’m not white because people who came after me were served just fine. Would not recommend if you’re not Caucasian. Stay away if you don’t want to be disrespected.

2019-02-16Fun place. It gets s little crowded but they make a nice variety of beer. Local 2 Local (hazy IPA) was my favorite so far but I still have half the menu to try. Looking forward to my next visit.

2017-05-07We always have a great time when we go to the brewery. They always have a wide variety of beers available, and add new ones frequently, and they also have wine and wine blends! You cant go wrong with any of the beers they offer! They have a very chill atmosphere, they have a couple arcade games, a bunch of different board games, cornhole, shuffle board and even dogs are welcome! If you arent sold yet, they also have a fantastic Groupon available that you can get beer tasting for 2 (2 flights of 5 beers), 2 brewery beer glasses and a growler for only $20!I would definitely recommend visiting!

2020-09-06Love stopping by here after hiking with my dog or stand up paddleboarding in cold spring harbor. Drinks are refreshing and the bartenders always have a cold bowl of water for my puppy as well.

2021-11-06I ordered a couple of shirts from Oyster Bay Brewing Company not realizing that the 15% offer expired the day before. Gabe from Oyster Bay credited my account for the discount the next day. Good to see that someone still provides customer service. Love their Barnrocker!

2017-07-05Great beer, worth trying them all. The beers tend to be lighter, even the stout tasted like a Belgian beer.

2021-06-17I’ve been going to this brewery since they had the old location. The beers are amazing.Ignore all these low star ratings - the bar staff are incredibly kind and attentive (even when they are slammed).Always a go-to when I’m back in town visiting.
