I have been told my mother is at end of life and have been trying to visit her. Many phone calls to compassionate care and no response to my several calls. I would like to see my mother and spend whatever last moments I have with her. This does not sound like a compassionate and loving nursing home. I totally understand about covid, however, by this time the nursing home should be more responsive. I advise the administration to take charge of their home.

My aunt was recently here and had a great experience. The social worker was amazing. She was extremely attentive, compassionate and caring

Terrible place! Instead of care my family member got Covid! There was no phone in the room to contact him, the Doctor doesn’t return calls, staff avoid questions when I’d ask how he was doing, social worker was no help. They left him suffering in pain waiting for his pain medication, nobody came to help him to the bathroom so he fell, he was dehydrated and wasn’t eating. They neglected my uncle and he ended up back in the hospital. Hopefully it’s not too late for him to get the care he needs and deserves. They should be ashamed of themselves!!If you love your family member,DO NOT bring them there!Outdated pathetic excuse for elder care facility.

My family member has been at this facility for almost a month. The care is horrendous. The staff is too often unresponsive. I can’t stress strongly enough: Please don’t send your loved one here.

I am very disappointed in the past week I have reached out to the the director of compassionate visits Claudia Watson and an assistant I left several messages with no response from anyone.Of course tomorrow Monday I will try again.I understand about covid but I think phone calls should be returned. The administration is falling down and needs to step up.

Old, outdated and depressing. The room has no phone to reach my elderly uncle and it’s difficult to communicate with anyone there to get Information. They must be under staffed, they leave my uncle in pain waiting for his medication, he fell because he needed to go to the bathroom and couldn’t wait any longer. I’m very sad that he’s there. I don’t have peace of mind that he’s being taken care of. It’s a weird and pathetic place.

Terrible. No response. Patients are left in soiled clothes. Broken ribs and arm in manual beds. Broken wheelchair. They never answer phones. Makes it impossible to advocate from home. Theyve had a year with covid to adjust. If you do get lucky enough to get someone, heavy accents and they just talk over you. No one follows though. The social worker did nothing. Didnt file for appeal we had to. Oh...and 3 days before discharge she gets covid. Masks work though right?

Its been about 8 months since my family and I made the difficult decision for our mom to live at Ozanam Hall. I have had many experiences in these months: with the residents, staff and other family members. Most have been just wonderful! But I am compelled to write this review today because when I arrived this afternoon, my mom needed serious help in the bathroom (no details!). One of the CNAs left from her break time to assist my mom.... and she was not even her assigned CNA! Amazing! Another recent experience... On Thanksgiving, we were bringing my mom to my house for the first time. My brother and husband picked her up, and when she arrived at my house, I was shocked to see that her hair had been set in rollers that morning... she looked like her old self! Again, the CNA took the time to do this...how wonderful! The nurses and rehab listen to the family... to work out medications, personal habits and needs! The administrative staff are all so pleasant, again, eager to help the resident and the family. The dogs and cats add to the feeling of home and... the nuns are everywhere.... to comfort, to help, to make a joke, and of course, to offer communion! There have been a couple of snags along the way... lets be realistic.....but at the end of the day, we made the right decision for our mom and I am grateful to have Ozanam to care for the person who always cared for us!

Hurrible experience with my mom Beatriz Chacon. She went in for a fall. She was in rehab. My mom would call me or my sister every night. She needed to go to the bathroom but they wouldnt come for hours. Than to top it off she gets a stroke, they continued to give her rehab. The head of PT is a layer hurrible person. I make it there second day she said I cant feel my hands!, they took my dish away and I didnt eat, she couldnt walk. How do you not notice, her voice was muffally and her mouth twisted. My husband reported this to management we never got a call. We were rrcommanded and were even doing paperwork to leave her there for long term care. Glad we did not leave her in this hurrible on professional place. So now we have to deal with more health issues with our mom. Dont put your loved once in this hall hole r! The nuns dont care either!

I have had the pleasure of working at Ozanam Hall for several years and enjoy seeing the mission brought to life.  Ozanam Hall is guided by the Carmelite Mission and we provide care for short term rehabilitation, long term and hospice.   I work with residents and families and make kindness and compassion a priority in the Admission process.
