We went to this place for convenience as it was next to where we were staying. It was extremely gross! It tasted like they pre-make all the food and then just zap it in a microwave. The noodles were super soggy, the egg drop soup was slimy, and the vegetables in the fried rice were still cold. Nothing was good about our meal and it was super expensive. The waitress walked back and forth our table as if she was had nothing better to do than watch us. It was uncomfortable! We literally ate nothing and walked out of there with an 80 dollar tab. I don’t want anyone else to experience this. This is the greatest city in the world and we were extremely disappointed with this place. How could a place like this even exist in New York City??
If youre looking for Asian food and you or your friends/family could not decide where to go, youve been debating whether to go Chinese, Japanese or Thai. Then go to Ozen, a fusion of three of the most popular Asian cuisines in town. Oh and they even have Vietnamese special, if you haven’t tried one. So, sit down inside and feel the nice Asian atmosphere that will make you decide what to get.My sister took me and our parents to this place one evening. We just took the subway and walked from 96 Broadway to the next block. Of course, the food is great. No doubt about that. That’s already a given but the price is even amazing. They are very reasonable and affordable to average people. The thing that really impressed me the most is the beautiful place. It’s like fine dining. The lighting is cozy and food presentation is really awesome. I really urge you to see it.It was really a nice treat my sister did for us. We even took pictures of the food. It was one of my memorable moments in New York City and I’m sure it will satisfy your Asian taste.
I went here to eat lunch with family, we started off with fried calamari and shrimp tempura both wonderful and the sauces were amazing. Then we received our salads which can complain, once again sauce was amazing. Then we ate the entree I choose Pad Thai and well it was good but it was too over welling for me on the taste because I was expecting more of a peanut flavor sauce but it was more acid then I usually have had. Someone else got sushi, California and avocado roll which were delicious as told. Then for dessert we got green tea ice cream which was okay. Only thing would be that the service wasnt that great.
Came at the slow time at the end of lunch (lunch is 11am to 4pm) and got the sauteed basil chicken with salad (or miso soup) for $7.50, spring roll with shrimp ($3.95 - much better than the usual cardboard egg rolls, although they donhave an egg roll for $1.80 - I didnt try the egg roll,) and Tom Yum soup ($4.75 without mushrooms - personal choice.)Entree was delayed until I had gone through everything else, but the soup, roll, and salad came at the same time. Good choice. I could sample all three and go back and forth. I asked for the Tom Yum and Sauteed Basil extra spicy, and they didnt disappoint. Everything was timed right, hot, flavorful, and fresh.Waitress was typical NYC - pragmatic and with an economy of words, but smiled and was attentive as well. Best of both worlds. For $7.50, the entree and salad would have been a perfect amount, no doubt. Im having some sinus issues with the temperature here going from 4° last week to 65° today, so I really wanted the soup. I wish they had a larger version of the Tom Yum - I would have gotten that instead of the lunch. Im glad I got all of it, though. There were choices of Chinese lunch fare for $6.95, I believe, and a choice of 2 or 3 sushi rolls for $8-11, and bento type lunch boxes for lunch as well. Hard to go wrong here at lunch.Dinner will be the next trip to see if the service, quality, and the cost to portion ratio keep up.Lunch was $17.35 with tax - $21 with tip. On a normal day, I probably would have skipped the roll (not because it wasnt good) and had either the soup *or* the lunch special, making lunch with tax *and* tip between $7 and $10 *out the door.* I cant really do that at McDonalds anymore. Now to get Tom Yum to go 😈
Food was ok. Pad Thai was the worst I tried.I told the server that its not good and she didnt care. And still charged meBad food & customer serviceFor your respond. We havent touched the ThaiIf your employee said we eat half of it shes laying. We took a bite and moved it aside.
Ive only ever ordered delivery from Ozen, but have had mostly pleasant experiences. The food has always been pretty consistent, with the exception of my last order of edamame. There was such an awful taste to them that I couldnt even eat more than a few! It was extremely disappointing and quite disgusting to say the least. Otherwise, I order exclusively from the Spa Cuisine section, which is standard, but quite tasty with the white garlic sauce. My boyfriend has ordered a lot of their Chinese dishes, like the chicken and broccoli, and has never had a bad thing to say.
Seems like your typical chinese/asian restaurant for take out in manhattan. there is nothing super sepcial about this place that stands out from the rest. it is definitely better than your hole in the wall joint but overall the food is good and portions very generous and friendly staff with clean dining room. i guess there isnt much more to ask for if i was in the mood for this style asian food.
Sushi not fresh and 9ver price for what u get along with TERRIBLE service. The place say they close at 12am,i got there at 11 and was told they were closed but only for takeout. I order my food and they bring it out. I order a uber and am waiting on it and the cashier guy comes over at around 1145 and tells me to leave because they are closing soon. This after Ive spent about 40 dollars in food and was sitting there for only about 5mins after ordering waiting on the uber. If u value your money dont come here!
I have visited this reataurant for several years without incident. Yesterday, I brought my family in for a family dinner at 3 p.m. Of the eight family memberws five of us got food poisoning yesterday evening. No other food was inbibred yesterday; the restaurant was rude and uncooperative. There can be no question that our food poisoning came from yesterdays meal.
Walked past and saw the menu. Looked forward to ordering in from a new place. The wasabi Shumai were tasty. The pad Thai were salty and pretty tasteless but the Bo Luc LAc (which we used to get at Saigon grill) -the barbecue beef cubes -were extraordinarily salty, the beef had a furry consistency, with an accompanying salad with a tiredPotato crisp sitting on top - and this $18 dish after we tried two cubes each landed in the garbage. They say a salty meal means the cook is in love..this cook must be starry eyed!
Ive spent a lot more of my life than Id care to admit eating at the Stonestown food court, and Ive never seen anything this high quality there before. This is great Central rasian comfort food; lamb and potatoes is my favorite entree, and plov is a great side for it. A hidden jewel of hearty, delicious food in the Stonestown food court.
Recently order chicken pan Thai and noticed paper towel soaked inside my food. I called and sent the caller a picture to let them know what was the issue and they said its possible. I asked for a refund and they told me its impossible. Very rude why would I 8 months pregnant soak a paper towel in my food. Working in the health field this issue will be addressed from above!!!!!!!
It was a delivery.. Driver after I clarified the address with him went to the wrong building... Then screamed at me... i pre paid the tip.. note: do not prepay tip... I called resturant to complain, they really didnt care.. I had prepaid.. Driver calls back and asks me to come down to lobby and I asked him what address is he at .. he could not tell me... he was still at a wrong address.. then he calls and says he cant get in the door.. i said my name is in the box at the door sir if you are at the right door... he hangs up.. three minutes later knocks on door.. I amswer he appears with motorcycle helmut on and literally tosses the food and turns and walks away..fine dinning at its best....

2022-06-22I went to this place for quick dinner. The food is okay, I would say like average Thai food. But compared to the place where it is located their food pricing is really good. They have both indoor sitting and outdoor sitting (depending upon the weather). The place is located on upper west side Manhattan. Parking can be very challenging as finding street parking can be difficult sometime.

2022-03-09Ordered Beef Sautéed Broccoli and Beef with Assorted Vegetables. I don’t know what these dishes should taste like, but it was a thick brown bland sauce and chewy beef that felt like I was chewing on fatty steak. Is that how this meal is supposed to taste? We also ordered brown rice with each dish and it smelled like… moldy? Tobacco? Wet box? Honestly I don’t know but it was gross.I ordered it delivery through seamless. It was delivered earlier than scheduled but I didn’t like it enough to have more than a few bites or keep it as leftovers. The vegetables were acceptable.

2022-03-11I ordered a three roll special with spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and spicy yellowtail for lunch. The rolls are filled with fried bread crumbs to make it crunchy. It tasted very fatty and was unhealthy. In addition, the rolls have the fish blended where you can have the old fish mixed in with the fresh ones. The fish in the rolls do not taste natural because they put it in the blender and puree it with the fried bread crumbs. This was not good for my diet or stomach.

2022-08-13I normally don’t write reviews but the sushi the worst I’ve ever tasted. It was not fresh and all and smelled spoiled. Took only two bites and threw the rest out.

2022-04-19Me and my coworkers went to buy food on our break ..I work with a mobile company and after I finished eating I had went back in to ask if I can use the restroom..the host automatically said “only for customers” so I continued to ask if I wasn’t a customer cause I picked up my food .. she then said “ only for dine in customers” ..she was so rude and that is insane then after all that she lied and said it wasn’t working … I’m not a customer bc I picked up my food just bc of that I wouldn’t give them my money again and the place was empty

Roast Pork well cooked and flavorful. Solid establishment, I’m glad to see they are still here and serving terrific dishes.
