WoW this place is Great! Sonia our server was Amazing! Food was served promptly and hot... each course was so timely! We enjoyed the food very much. Drunken noodle and yellow curry with tofu, level 2 spice. It wasnt too spicey, just right. Very flavorful, and they accommodate to Vegans! Both of us are vegan, and it was a great meal. The lunch combo special is awesome, $10 including spring roll or dumpling, salad and main course. If you like Asian cuisine or if even youre open to trying something savory and delicious... COME to Pad Thai Noodle.
Its one of the best in Albany.Good for take out as well as dine in.I would highly recommend crispy basil chicken and shrimp Thai fried rice. The place is also quite (as most of the other good restaurants are in downtown or busy central avenue) and situated middle of Albany on the Eve
Customer service leaves something to be desired. I called for takeout, and the person didnt identify the restaurant. I asked, after several moments of dead silence, is this Pad Thai Noodle? To which the response was tepid and curt.Food is tasty but portions made no sense. I paid for two small and two large Pad Thai and they were all basically the same size, but I paid $10 more for larges for no apparent reason.I also tried to use a free Groupons. The person who took the order said only one per order. The Groupon didnt say that it was only one per order, which would be fine if it did... but it didnt. I felt that it was deceptive, and the savings of $4 wasnt really worth it.
Great noodle soup. Really tasty red curry. The soups was spicy and delicious. Will recommend to anyone who like spicy ramen. The rice portion is really small, and I was not expecting this little size , compare to some other Thai food pleases the curry portion also small . Usually the Thai curry is good for 2 people , but this was not the case here. Other than that no complains. Great customer care as well.
I have no idea why this place is so highly rated. Fried spring rolls were good. The pad see ew was disgusting. Doesnt taste fresh at all. Overcooked vegetables--thick cut slices of mushy carrot like youd find in soup and the whole thing smells like overcooked broccoli when you pull the lid off. Sauce tastes off. Incredibly disappointed. Beware!!!!! Capital Thai, even Sweet Basil is better.
The food is always delicious. I love that you can get a small or large and customize your spice level. The restaurant is extremely communicative- there have been a couple of times when I placed an online order and they are very busy, so they have reached out immediately to make sure the extra wait time is OK. They’re always polite, professional, and accurate.
We ordered via their website and the food was ready within 5 minutes of the promised time. Very nice! We ordered a green curry, a yellow curry, and a crispy pad tai noodles. They were flavorful and spicy. ( You get to choose the spicy level) My daughter says the sticky rice dessert was very nice. Very nice people & great service!
I dont understand why this place is highly rated.ordered on-line for pick up.ALL menu items when ordered on-line had SPICE/HEAT level request.so we chose little bit spicy for 1 of the dishes.and MEDIUM heat for 3 dishes.the little bit spicy dish had very pleasant MILD HEAT, that built over time.BUT, THE 3 MEDIUM HEAT DISHES THAT WE ORDERED were ALL VERY VERY SWEET WITHOUT ANY HEAT WHAT-SO-EVER!!!! WE WANTED MEDIUM HEAT AND GOT syrupy candy-like sweetness!!!WHAT IS THE POINT OF SPECIFYING/REQUESTING HEAT LEVEL, IF IT ISNT BEING REFLECTED ON THE ORDER????We had HIGH hopes for this establishment, as we enjoy THAI food, but if they cant even manage heat levels specified on the order, theres no sense in getting food from here.Wont be ordering again.
I dont usually write restaurant reviews. Food is food, sometimes you get good stuff, sometimes you dont. But this one, I just feel like I have to write something.I ordered Tom Yum soup ($14) and Gra Prow ($17) on Uber eats. Both are supposed to be large size but oh boy are they tiny. I cant even imagine what regular size is like. But oh well, size is subjective so I guess thats that. The Tom Yum soup does not have shrimp. First of all, Tom Yum soup has shrimp, like fries have potato. Secondly, the Picture on the MENU shows shrimp, like there is shrimp on the PICTURE on the MENU.So I basically paid $14 for a cup of vegetable water (If that thing sells more than $5 in a restaurant youd think its a rip off), and $17 for half plate of stir fry beef.Honestly I feel this is a real life Gordan Ramsays Kitchen Nightmare. And honestly I have no idea why this place has a 4.6 point rating. I will do my part to lower it by 0.01 point.
Hidden gem! My family ordered takeout and it was some of the best Thai Ive had in a long time. Sauces are light, yet flavorful (unlike some restaurant dishes that can be heavy on the cornstarch creating a slimy texture). Veggies are perfectly cooked with a bit of crunch. The noodles seemed possibly homemade. I will definitely be returning to try some of their other menu items!
Pad Thai Noodle has great food. Always tasty and fresh and you can get any heat level on whatever you order. Every curry Ive had has been delicious. Their Thai Pancakes are the best rendition of scallion pancakes and not limp and super oily, like every other place with them. They have always gotten my order correct and have been super friendly. I highly recommend this place.
Tried this place for the first time today for lunch delivery. They told me it would be 40-45 minutes but it was here in about 20-25 minutes. I had the Drunken Noodles w/ light spice and it was perfect. I had the Papaya Salad with light spice and that was perfect as well. I will definitely be ordering from there again!
Finally tried Pad Thai Noodle after visiting many Thai restaurants in the Albany area. Food was made promptly and quality was good except spice level was way over the top. We ordered medium as they gave us a choice (normally we take it as done by the chef, we like it spicy) and it was so hot we couldnt eat it.
This place is great. The food is made to order and fresh. We ordered green curry with beef, vegetable pad Thai, chicken dumplings, spring rolls and a seafood soup. Each was excellent. The seafood soup was filled with shellfish and fish fillet, all was cooked perfect, not over done and the broth was tasty. My kids loved the chicken dumplings and I loved the vegetable spring rolls. My wife and I enjoyed the curry, she said it was the best shes had.We will be back there!
I traveled to this location yesterday and I must say that this is the best Thai food that I have ever had the pleasure of eating. I must say that I myself am not a fan of Thai food usually but here, the small restaurant space and warm welcoming service all helped culminate into a Thai restaurant I actually loved. The food was spicy but not too over the bar and I hope to come here again later!
We drive an hour and a half to Oder from Pad Thai. I first tried it with a coupon from Groupon and am now hooked. The yellow curry (we get it with Chicken) is absolutely AMAZING, every time. It was delicious when we ate in, and just today, we drove it back home and ate it 2 hours later (pick-up only because of COVID), and it was still absolutely delicious!! Yum, yum!!! Support them and order from them!!! People are sweet too!!!
Honestly the best food in the 518Chef Specials are greatThis place undoubtedly out cooks Suko and Sri Siam texturally the food is amazing, the spice, the basil and herbs,a mastery of fish and soy sauces.I can’t explain how good it is but this is the only place where I have and it has a menu of dishes that all are amazingly savory. From the Khai Jeaw,Yellow Curry,to Golden Bags and donuts it is unbelievable.Very rarely do they disappoint and I could chalk that up to going at rush hours,if you’re new to Thai food try basically any noodle dish, being said even their chicken is battered and tossed amazingly in a sauce so well seasoned I save it to fry day old white rice.Ask for it Spicy don’t be scared, also grab milk10/10 ⭐️
My favorite restaurant and best Thai food around. I have never been disappointed by a dish. Absolute amazing service and food! I recommend this place to EVERYONE!! I wish I could give more than 5 stars because the family that owns this restaurant deserves all the business! You guys are the best and thank you so much for your hard work and delicious food.
Third time here, never had anything less than excellent food and attentive, friendly, professional service. A pleasant surprise from such a simply decorated unassuming place. Vegetarian options abound. Dishes are spiced from mild to very hot, spice level is not reduced for American palates. Hot was pretty spicy but flavors of the were dish still prominent.Even desserts are good. A must stop if you are in the neighborhood.
Yummy! Thank you so much for mild... most places blow my mouth off when I ask for mild, i wonder if they think I say wild.... NOT! Everything was delicious... I think Ive found my go to lunch spot after my platelets donation! What a great place to replenish myself after two hours of donating! 😋😋😋😋😋
Ive tried at least 5 items on the menu and all of them were delicious!! My two favorite dishes are the phucket noodle dish and the crab fried rice. Sorry, but not sorry, that I dont eat meat anymore because the golden bags are a perfect appetizer. To finish my meal, I often get the mango and sticky rice dessert. Yum!
My wife and my new favorite Thai place. Absolutely love it. Were both huge Thai food fans, and weve tried every single place in Albany. Capital Thai used to be our favorite spot but its not as vibrant as it used to be. This place is casual, the food is fresh, and full of flavor. The drinks are amazing too! Wed come here every week if possible!
Pad Thai has some of my favorite Thai food. I absolutely love their Coconut Soup, which you can order with chicken, veggies, tofu, and I believe even shrimp. I order this for my lunch at work sometimes. This restaurant also has really incredible mango curry, that I prefer with a level two spice. Level three, medium spice, is just a bit too strong for me in a curry and I really enjoy spicy food. This restaurant delivers to local places and is an excellent place to order from for group deliveries. Food is generally prompt, warm, and fairy affordable.
I came here with my mom and we had a Groupon. If not I would think have tried this place out but Im glad we did! A quite, cute little Thai restaurant with great service! Everything came out so fast and fresh! I love the Thai tea here along with everything else that I ordered
Nice small resturant. I got a curry dish (size small) very good portions. The food was fresh, out in about 5 minutes and I asked for it medium spice and thats what I got. The potatoes and onions were a little under cooked. All and all it was great and I hope to go back.
Off the beaten path.... Visited the Albany area for a weekend getaway. I use Groupon when traveling and this was one of the best finds. Drunken Noodle was amazing. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu. We arrived at opening and figured it was not busy because of location... within 20 minutes the place was SRO.
Went to lunch with some co-workers. Really tasty food. If go back again. The hot wasnt face-melting (not that I mind when it is). Lunch portion size felt a little small, but probably not unreasonable for the price. If youre not alone or are a big eater, you can probably get away with sharing a third dish or a desert. The space is small and I imagine it could fill up fast during busy hours.
Wow, simply amazing Thai food. As many places as there are in Albany, it is surprisingly hard to find this level of quality. The dining room is quite small, so beware if hitting it up during peak times. My daughter had miso soup and fried rice with chicken and prik pow sauce. Yummy! My wife and I got curries, red curry with shrimp for the missus. Massaman curry with beef for me, Thai hot. Holy cow, it was fantastic. Super flavorful and actually spicy! This is my first time here and will not be my last. Bravo!
Excited to try a new Thai place, I drove the 20 minutes (one way) to get there only to find they can only seat 17 people....this place is TINY. I wanted to use a gift certificate I was given, but again, it was only for dine in. I was informed there would be a 45 minute wait...but theres no where to wait! I asked if I could use the certificate for take-out, again, the answer was no. Ill try them again, but first impression...MEH. If youre planning on going, call first. Also, there is little to no parking...so theres that too. Disappointed to say the least.
This is a really good spot even though the inside is small place is very clean and all the food that comes out of that kitchen taste fresh nothing tastes old and pre-prepared the pricing is really cool too each person can spend 10 or 15 bucks have enough I think it is a two person operation and Im impressed with the quality of food that comes out of a small area try their dumplings and definitely try the crab rangoon

2022-06-21Absolutely delicious green curry. Lots of beef, fresh vegetables, good portions. Our spring rolls and dumplings were great too. The restaurant is small, but they accommodated my family and brought us tables and chairs outside. I will definitely come back here.

2022-05-07Food is always excellent and delicious but the prices have gone up too much over the last year without an increase in quality or quantity. Its a shame. The difference between small and large is negligible and yet they charge an extra $4 for large sizes. Other places in the area provide the same quality and taste for less.
