Effortless to make reservations on line. Arrived early and they took us right away- no problem. Everyone was courteous and helpful. They even gave a demonstration for the first time kayakers of our group. I would highly recommend and would use them again if we are in that area!
Super friendly staff, knowledgeable and no hoops to go through. Lots of options for rentals and they have dry bags for you to use. Definitely going back!
Great place, super polite, flexible with plan changes, recommend trip ideas, & they give you a wet bag + map with the kayak! Will be back :)
Love the new location!! It was too windy/choppy for us to go out on the main lake when we were there, but we had a great time exploring the inlets and creeks back the other direction!

The staff were friendly and efficient. Equipment was in good condition. I appreciated the launcher, which made it very easy to get in and out of the kayaks. The area is a fun place to kayak. We had a very nice time.
We had a great time! They staff was very helpful explaining the area, tips for kayaking, and were diligent about cleaning the boats during Covid. All around highly recommended
Took my 11 year old out today for our first ever kayaking experience. The staff was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about safety, how to’s and the surrounding waters we’d be on. We felt very comfortable and safe. We even explored much further than I thought we would as beginners. Thank you all so much!

Great local resource! Reasonable prices too. Staff is very knowledgeable and kind, very laid back and easy going. Theyll get you suited up and ready to go in no time. You can also rent just gear from them. We were waiting for our paddles and life vests to come in the mail, so we rented from them before we headed out. I wish they stayed open longer in the day!
Great experience - easy to book online, and everything well-organized on arrival. Lots of hand sanitizer around and everyone wearing masks. Lockers are available, and water was also included in the rental. The set up is nicer in their new location across the inlet; easier to get in/out of the water now! Will definitely be back.
We were very happy that this place exists-- perfectly located, very friendly staff, good equipment. Our only blemish was that we had a reservation and didnt get into the water until 25 minutes later. But it was a busy day, and we still stayed out for the full time we paid for. Definitely would recommend---- all items were cleaned, masks worn by workers. Very happy with the laminated map, too! No pics, because we left phone in the convenient free locker.
Great equipment, friendly staff, wonderful safety (COVID) procedures, and very reasonable prices. We were delighted that they have canoes as well, and we really enjoyed our rental!
Had a great time here on a beautiful day renting two single kayaks. Staff was very friendly and helpful and explained everything. Kayaks are in great condition and during this pandemic are cleaned and kept very sanitary. Also lockers and dry bags are a nice added touch. Would definitely do again.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They gave us a great refresher on kayaking along with a map to follow. Lockers and dry bags were included in the cost of rentals which was very helpful as well. I watched staff clean and disinfect all the equipment (paddles, vests) after they were returned. We would definitely rent from them again!
We rented a double kayak for 2 hours and had a wonderful time. The staff is very knowledgable, supportive and accommodating in this challenging time.

I own a kayak but it was not available the day I wanted to meet a friend by the lake. I decided to rent one and it was so easy to book a kayak and sign the waiver on-line. When I arrived, they were ready for me, all was in order, and I was assigned a beautiful kayak and paddle! Hand sanitizer and masks were there. Staff were friendly and welcoming - and even chased my car to return the hat I left in the boat. And the best part -- the new launch ramp! It was easy to get in the water and even easier to get back out. I love the new location!

Enjoyed kayaking with puddledockers very much! The staff was incredibly friendly and much more informative than other places Ive been to! You are able to store your stuff in lockers and even get a waterproof baggie for things you bring (free of charge). Equipment was sanitary, in great condition, and the kayak launching device made it super easy to get out on the water. Highly recommend!

Had a great time kayaking on Cayuga. Used the online portal to easily book and sign waivers. The team was super efficient when we arrived - quickly got us fitted in life vests, fixed our foot breaks, and got us out into the water - even before our time slot! Everyone was friendly & helpful. Had lockers for our stuff, a dry bag to take our phones with us, and a map of the area. Also all staff wore mask and was easy to keep distance. Highly recommend
We had a great experience from start to finish. We were able to book online and sign our waivers electronically. We arrived and the staff got us right on the water. Everyone was wearing a mask and they had safety precautions in place. Not only were they cleaning the boats and life jackets between customers, they had separate areas for boats that were cleaned and ones that werent. They also provided you with a free locker, map and dry bag. I would highly recommend Puddledockers.
Very easy and quick rental of canoe. Included paddles, dry bag, life vests and maps. Staff was friendly and helpful. Was noon on a Saturday and was not crowded. There is a bathroom and well stocked shop with everything from sunscreen, glasses, shoes to paddles and vests.
We had a fantastic time stand up paddle boarding this past week. The entire experience was easy and exceeded our expectations. We had a tour before our scheduled time for our SUP rentals that ran over and when we called they could not have been more accommodating. They also have lockers and dry bags and even gave our kids ice cream sandwiches when we returned. The staff were awesome and they were working hard to sanitize everything so it would be a safe experience for all. Would definitely rent with them again!
Great place to rent canoes and go paddling. The people are nice and patient. Cayuga lake is gorgeous. I would recommend everyone in Ithaca to have a try.
Great place to rent SUPs and kayaks. This is the 3rd summer my daughter and I have been renting from them and where we learned to paddleboard. We loved the experience so much that now my daughter has her own SUP and we keep coming back! Love the new location and love the area. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Look forward to coming here every year!
My daughter took me here for Mothers day,What a great place ! The owner was so nice and helpful,they even gave us a map of the lake.so many times i have passed by and i never knew what i was missing,enjoy the lake,rent here.

I was a complete beginner. Puddledockers staff gave me a bit of instruction and helped me not feel too self-conscious. Their pleasure was infectious. Ill definitely be renting from them again (until Im buying from them).
The first time here, and the staff is very friendly and flexible. Very detailed and helpful instructions on how to puddle. The scenery is amazing, and definitely coming again!
We are local Ithacans and wanted to do something different for us and experience what our visitors do when they are here...Puddledockers was a great choice for a Saturday afternoon! The team working there was very knowledgable, extremely personable and fun! I was very impressed with how polite and attentive the team members were, it was 90 plus degrees, they were hot and busy, fully masked and never missed a beat! Thank you for a great afternoon of family fun!

Great place for a quick kayak rental. They are very helpful for beginners and have 2,4 or 8 hr rental options. You can also rent 1 or 2 person kayaks.
The best place to rent kayak. They are really helpful and even if you go for a lonely trip, they make you feel not alone at all.

Got here at 9 for their summer hours and no one showed up. We left at 9:20. Clearly they are not interested in getting local business.

Seemed about as interested in selling me a Standup Paddleboard as Ostriches are into carpentry. Not at all or they just dont do it because of the lack of tools. I will never know.

2021-07-10Awesome spot to rent a canoe or kayak and explore the river flowing at the bottom of lake Cayuga. Friendly staff, awesome office space with a cool selection of water sports stuff, and well maintained equipment. Took about 45 mins to paddle out to the mouth of lake Cayuga - allowing for plenty of wandering around and checking out the various marinas … hr + to boat back against the current. Enjoy!

2021-07-09Note new location at 701 Seneca St. Ithaca and name changed to Paddledockers. Friendly and helpful staff. Located on Sixmile Creek a few minutes rowing from Cayuga inlet. Total kayak time to the open lake is at least 30 minutes. The creek and inlet themselves are enjoyable. Gave us a map, dry bag, and bottles of water for the trip.

2021-09-04Great experience! The guides / trainers are super responsible and checked our kayaks thoroughly before we launched. They offer dry bags which are helpful to keep our phones. The guide knows the area really well and directed us to the place with awesome view, and helped us take nice pictures. We enjoyed kayaking with Paddle Dockers a lot!

2021-09-21Did the sunset cruise and it was really so fun. Sofia and Mae (sp?) were great guides. We could tell the whole crew from start to finish really cared about the experience and that we enjoyed ourselves and had a good time.

2020-08-25We got a canoe because we have a pet. They provide life jacket for our pup too which is very nice. Staffs are friendly and helpful.They sanitized all the equipments before and after use.

2020-08-04My family of four (2 elementary aged boys) had a super pleasant experience. Were missing a family vacation in Wisconsin this week, and it was very nice to get out on the water here in Ithaca and relax in 2 canoes. I agree with the other Covid-time reviews: friendly staff, great safety and cleaning measures. Will rent again!

2020-07-30Staff were friendly, easy going and very helpful. They helped us with parking and with moving the kayaks as needed. We arrived a bit late and they still let us have the full allotted time we paid for. Online reservations were easy and the lake was beautiful. Would come back again!

2020-07-22Was very happy with our experience! Great prices and staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. They offer dry bags for belongings and all items are clean and in good shape. Highly recommend them! They have everything from paddle boards to canoes.
