Paisley in other cities:
The restaurant is good worth a try…We visited the restaurant for lunch and just half n hr before closing time. The host seated us and warned us about kitchen closing soon. But he was polite towards us.Ambiance -Restaurant ambiance is good. Classy and chic combination. Loved their bar look. They have ample of indoor and outdoor seating.Service-The service was good and very quick. The server was accommodating to our requests.Food -To be honest being an Indian I am always very skeptical about trying Indian restaurants as the food taste always disappoints. But the food at Paisley was really good…We orderedDal Makhani - a must try very delicious.Chicken - very flavourfulMango lassi - this is less sweet a bit sour.Gulab Jamun - ohh they were delicious.I just think the food priced high. The restaurant is pet friendly. There is the owner’s dog named ShelbyShe is way too adorable. The owner was very friendly too.I would recommend if you are in the area and want to try good Indian food with good ambiance.
Amazing Indian food! Quite possibly the best biryani Ive had at a restaurant. We started off with the rioja half bottle red wine. It paired well with all the complex flavors. We ordered the pahadi murgh appetizer of very tender chicken thigh that was so flavorful! I highly recommend this appetizer! Then we had the goat biryani and chicken chettinad that came in its own curry. The chicken chettinad was not as spicy as we thought it should be since its a South Indian dish. Would order that again but a little hotter in spice would be fun. The naan here was also very good!! Cant go wrong. The food was so flavorful and high quality!
It always begins with the service. Friendly, attentive, caring and in todays world quite refreshingly inspiring! The food was well prepared, subtle without being overpowering or heavy and just perfect. We really enjoyed everything about our evening. Truly I could not have imagined or hoped for a better overall experience!! Highly recommend it!!
NYC has its fair share of high-end Indian restaurants, but that doesnt mean there isnt room for more. Enter Paisley, an Indian restaurant led by Chef Peter Beck (of Tamarind Tribeca), that opened just before the pandemic in Feb 2020.+ The selection of cocktails and other beverages is extensive and theyre pretty good! Drop the Beet has a nice spicy aftertaste, the Old Fashioned is stiff and solid, the Pisco sour and the Infinite Island are super smooth and tasty+ The food is great and is quite tailored to accommodate palates with different tolerance for spices (note: the mild spice level is probably too mild for most Indian palates, but I appreciate how they have made Indian food more accessible). The Akbari Chicken Biryani was amazing and was our favorite dish, followed by the Crispy Eggplant Chaat and Saag Paneer. The Nadir Monji was a bit too dry but pairs well with the mint chutney that we asked for (note to restaurant: you should serve them together :-) ) The desserts are also great - We enjoyed the Gulaab Jamun a lot and the Chai Chocolate Mousse was nice, even though we couldnt appreciate the flavor of Chai in the dish (felt more coffee like)+ The service is courteous and friendly, but it seemed they were overwhelmed and hadnt quite ironed out the procedural hiccups that would be expected in the early days of a restaurant.+ The place is expensive but typical for NYC.All in all, Id recommend this place and would likely visit again :)
Highly recommend if you love good quality spicy Indian food. We were a group of 12 and everyone absolutely loved every dish. The flavors and spice level hit the mark. Whether you’re a vegetarian or not, you’ll love this restaurant. Really appreciated the kind service. Loved the music. Looking forward to going back again soon!

Every dish that we had was delicious and well prepared. It is considerably more expensive than your neighborhood Indian restaurant but the ambiance is worth it. The service was a bit slow and there were lags in between orders and delivery but the staff was extremely friendly and very personable. We would go again.
Loved everything about this place from the beautiful ambiance and design of the restaurant to the delicious food. The food was phenomenal and everything tasted so good. I also have to add how amazing the service was. The employees there are very kind and always checking up on you. Definitely one of my new favorite spots
Paisley is aesthetically cute, upscale HALAL Indian spot! Its a family owned Indian treasure in Tribeca which offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. It was an experience with an amazing Bollywood playlist! You name it- Samosa Chaat, Seared Scallops, Eggplant Chaat , Lamb Vindaloo, Malai Mushroom , Rack of Lamb, Chili Prawn, Murgh, with a side of Onion Chilli Naan and Cheese Naan. They had a heart mix of Northern and Southern Indian dishes. The dishes were very flavorful but low on the spice scale, of course that can be adjusted. The attention to every detail on every entree was impeccable. Can’t forget their mocktails the Nojito and Purple Smash. Highly recommend to anyone feeling home sick or around the SoHo area.
The restaurant is soooo nice, cute, chic, cozy, etc! The food was delicious & the staff are very nice (our waiter even spoke Spanish which was perfect for my grandma!). The owners are so sweet, and I can’t wait to see their restaurant prosper. Definitely a place to stop for delicious Indian food & cozy vibes!
Came here for a birthday dinner and we absolutely loved it - the food, the service and the ambience exceeded my expectations. We are vegetarians and we ordered: Nadir Monji (pictured below), Lahori Kofta for appetizers and Kashmiri Kofta, Rajwadi Paneer, Dal Tadka, Onion Chilli Naan, Cheese Naan, Vegetable Biryani for mains. Natasha from Paisley went out of her way to make my fathers birthday a special experience with a vegan Coconut Sago Pudding with mango bits and pineapple chutney - a must try!If youre in NYC and looking for a wholesome and satisfying Indian meal with a touch of refreshing creativity, head on over to Paisley!
The restaurant is set up in a beautiful space with high cielings, colorful bar and exposed brick on one side. The Drop the Beet cocktail was one of my favorite unique cocktails of the year, delicious! The food was solid albeit bit muted for Indian flavors, certainly high quality and fresh. However, I felt it was quite expensive relative to what we received. $12 masala cheese naan was good, but hard to justify (esp for brunch) when other elevated Indian food spots have similar for half the price. Overall, a good spot if you want to impress a date or splurge a bit.
Super slow service even on a not so busy day. Even getting the check and paying is very slow. Food was at best 1 star with no rich Indian flavors even though it had annoying amount of whole spices. Tamarind tribeca is way better in all aspects (service, friendliness, food)
I don’t understand the 4.7 stars. For apps we had gotten garlicky cauliflower and Pahadi Murgh. Initially we were ordering another chicken dish for appetizer but after we told the waiter we wanted spicy he recommended the Pahadi Murgh. The appetizers by no means were spicy. The cauliflower had no taste what so ever. Was verybland. We decided to leave after our appetizers experience since we were not impressed. Felt the price of the food was just not justified
For Indian food lovers: there is no better place than Paisley in TriBeCa. Each dish is prepared with love and fresh ingredients. It’s run by a wonderful family who is very attentive to their clients.I’d highly recommend you try the Chana masala. Also they have a great wine selection. If you are unsure about what to try, Harish can guide you.My wife and I have become regulars and go at least once per week.
Somewhat confused with my experience here. Overall fine, but somehow doesnt match up to the expectation of semi-fine dining. Surprised by 4.7 aggregate.4.5/5 Staff service felt great from front of restaurant to servers, many of them felt like owners! BUT...1/5 for being charged a $50 cake cutting fee for a birthday. $50 plus tips and taxes is outrageous when youve spent $700 already on dinner. For birthday, restaurants give free desserts, not charge you so much. Most I have seen before is $20 and that even that would feel rude for such a check size.2.5/5 -- half the drinks were weird, half were great! Would NOT recommend the mango pisco sour or the gimlet (poor flavor balance). Would recommend the Pear Prosecco drink and Silk Road. Had to return some drinks.2.5/5 appetizers. The paneer was great, the cauliflower was not. Even the presentation of the cauliflower (which came first) was so underwhelming for a nice restaurant. Between the drinks and first app itself, our table felt like we made the wrong decision.4/5 the curries/entrees were true redemption though. The kofta, paneer and dal (and the laccha parantha) were all great! If I dine-in here again, Id go for the mains and not the apps.
I used to like the ambiance here when it was Dylan Prime but they managed to make it awful. Zero service at the bar. For some reason, the bartenders can only do one thing at a time and will ignore you until they finish what theyre doing. They dont know how to multi-task and sometimes even an acknowledgement like Ill get to you soon would be nice, but nothing, they will ignore you like you dont exist.
Great Indian place in Tribeca. The interior doesnt shout India but the food most definitely does. The Lahori Paneer was excellent as a starter and the two curries we ordered were great, as well as Dal Makhani and the naan. Next time I would go for more spicy options. The service was attentive and fantastic.
Excellent proper Punjabi food. Decor is a bit of a miss as lighting is way too bright and the restaurant is too loud (poor acoustics, too many hard surfaces etc) for a restaurant that’s a bit on the pricier side. Service was efficient but not warm.Prices are comparable to tamarind but decor and service are a step below despite food being better here.
This place is amazing! The food is exceptional and always a little twist on the typical Indian food. The drinks are the stars. We had a “drop the mic” which is Smokey and a little spicy. Fabulous. We loved this place so much we are here twice on our trip. The staff is what makes it so exceptional. The hostess remembered my name after one visit! Five FIVE staff members remembered us and took the time to greet us and welcome us back. This place is a gem. Highly recommend.
Amazing food and service. I rarely love Indian food outside of India as much (besides Tamarind, also in Tribeca).. I had a phenomenal experience and would highly recommend the Rajwadi Paneer and green chilli, onion naan! 🤤 The cocktails were amazing too. We tried their mango cocktail and margaritas, both of which were amazing 😍
We were here for Diwali. The food and cocktails were great. I got the funky monkey and my SO got the silk road 2X. Would definitely come back here on a different day to try their other menus.Oh and they gave us presents before we left! The staff was cordial and quite polite. We caught them on a busier than usual day so took a while to get our food but when the food arrived we forgot everything about it.
Exceptional experience at Paisley!! We went for dinner. Our server, Harish, suggested excellent menu items and some special combos (pro tip: add spinach in the chala masala!). The garlicky cauliflower is to die for — perfect blend of spice and tangy. The service is unparalleled, and when we left the hostess remembered and used our name from our reservation when we walked out! Overall 10/10, already can’t wait to go back.
Treasure in Tribeca! I came here for dinner with a friend and from the moment we arrived until the end of dinner we were provided wonderful service. The owners and staff were amazing, professional, kind, and hospitable. The chic decor of the restaurant and open concept makes for a relaxing dining experience. This is also a nice spot if you want to come in to have a drink after a long day at work. And I plan to come back for brunch as they have some interesting dishes on their menu. The cuisine is fabulous, the cocktails are flavorful, and the service was fast. I definitely recommend seeking out this gem and stop in to give your tastebuds a delightful treat.
My experience at Paisley was absolutely wonderful! The food was delicious & I especially appreciated how there were plenty of vegan and gluten-free options. The ambiance was lovely as the restaurant was warm and inviting. It was evident there was ample thought put into the creation of each element of the restaurant from the beautiful paisley design at the entrance to the custom paisley plates. Looking forward to returning soon! :)
Authentic Indian food. If you want fusion, go elsewhere. But if you want real Indian, check Paisley out. The decor is classic, the music is Indian and the food is outstanding. We got methi chicken, konkan fish and lamb chettinad and each dish was excellent. We asked for spicy and the dishes packed a punch! But you could clearly taste the distinct spices used in north, south and west India. The garlic naan was superb. Even the basmati rice was great. We cant wait to come back here!
This restaurant has everything that I wanted. The foods and beverages were really flavorful and satisfying. The entire restaurant was very clean, new, and stylish. Even the waiters and the waitresses were very friendly, professional, and concerning with the customers. It was my second time visiting, and I greatly want to visit from time to time because everything here was worth it and at a reasonable price. Others must come to try this place highly recommended.
We had a fantastic dinner at Paisley on Saturday night. Their outdoor setup was incredibly spacious and warm even on a chilly night. Our server had the most exceptional knowledge of their extensive wine list and was so helpful with dietary requirements. It was the best Indian food I have had since moving to the city, one of the top spots in New York.
The food and service at Paisley is a physical manifestation of perfection. The food is literally better than it is in India, the drinks are great, and the location is impeccable. A trip to Paisley is like a mini vacation to heaven! Whoever is auxing has exquisite music taste as well 😎.
Paisley is utterly flaweless! The service is impeccable. Natasha is a phenomenal beverage director and selects the most incredible wines each time we visit. My son loves the chicken tikka masala and begs to return weekly. Thank you to the incredible staff and you’ve got us for life!
Excellent place !!! Amazing food, literally like home ( I’m from India and haven’t tasted food like this anywhere in nyc ). The owners of the restaurant came and met us and were so lovely, their daughter Natasha is an amazing hostess ! Lovely customer service as well. Will definitely come back for more.
Fantastic place to dine, ambience is beautiful, simple and relaxing. Food is unique and delicious. I relished the savory spices in every bite of all the dishes I ordered. Staff is very Pleasant and friendly. Lamb chops and shrimp dish was truly delicious. Highly recommend. It is a busy place.
The Indian fine dining space in New York has become crowded with everyone trying to one up each other with something new and gimmicky. So I was hesitant to try Paisley thinking it would be just another one - but boy was I wrong! Its quite possibly the best addition to the Tri-State area for yummy home cooked Indian food with origins from Goa and Kerala which I will say is almost impossible to find here for the real flavor. Our groups was large enough to try a wide variety of dishes from vegetarian to meats and seafood. I cant say that one was better than the other because they were all quite equal for what they accomplish. That day I was in a seafood mood so the crab and fish curry stood out for me. Its been a while since I was last in Goa that this surely took me back faster than getting on a plane - which I cant right now.The decor is modern with colorful low lighting. While indoor dining is still closed there is a party room for private events when things open up. The weather was perfect that evening to sit out which made the experience that much better. This was one of my top meals of recent time and I cant wait to go back for more.
Great outdoor seating on wide sidewalks, amazing dining option in current times. The food and drinks were good, but it was the service and the amazing friendly staff that made the experience very enjoyable. If you decide to try it out, I can assure you Mohammed will take very good care of you!
The absolute BEST in TriBeCa!! Nothing compares to the friendly service here. We feel like family when we go there. Tonight was our first dinner out after lockdown, and seeing as Paisley was the LAST place we ate BEFORE lockdown, it just had to be! Some new additions to the menu, the Tikka Salmon is amazing! Mohammed and Carmilla are amazing. The cocktails were strong and quick to the table. This is a real neighbourhood place for us. We were welcomed from the get go. No judgements, just SOLID, tasty Indian cuisine, with neared exciting twists on everything. And portions SO generous, youll be having leftovers for days! EVERYONE should go here.
5 Stars arent enough! The friendliest and most knowledgable staff and equally amazing food. They were also big supporters of the NYC C19 soup kitchens and meals for essential workers, donating countless meals. If that isnt enough to come here, their margaritas are excellent too.
Just had one of the most AMAZING dinner experiences EVER! So here we are, in the midst of Corona Kookiness on a chilly, drizzly, overcast evening in TriBeCa, only to find this phenomenal oasis of sanity and civility to make my wife and I feel warm! And it had nothing to do with the temperature, but rather the incredibly welcoming staff! From the moment my wife and I longingly peered through the windows, we were immediately greeted by a welcoming wave on the other side of the glass. We dutifully put on our masks, and made our way in to place an order from the take-out menu.No sooner had we started to order than the waitress began to make convincingly solid recommendations to accompany our requests. We went with every single one, and I am SO glad we did!!! First of all, they managed to figure out a way to accommodate an outside table for us that somehow managed to be shielded from the elements while following State guidelines. Before the food arrived, however, our drinks arrived, which were specialized cocktails created by the genius masked mixologist behind the bar. My first cocktail was the Silk Road and my wifeordered the Gimlet... amazing! I later ordered an Old-Fashioned, and could not stop myself from ordering a second (my wife followed her awesome gimlet with an O-F after tasting mine). As for food, everything from the samosas to the lamb dishes to the curry and chutney combining dishes, featuring food from the northern and southern regions of India as explained to us by our waitress were freaking DELICIOUS!!! Diet be damned!! And then the flambeed bread pudding... OMG!! Caramelízed and crispy from the flames!!!Finally, I had to ask the name of this incredibly friendly and knowledgeable waitress who helped to make my wifes and my dinner experience so magical, and it turned out she was the owner!! In addition, another lovely woman who was serving us throughout made us feel like we were the most important people in the neighborhood. Just an overall EXCEPTIONAL experience. To a gloomy day, they brought the sunshine!THANK YOU, PAISELY!!

2022-04-11High quality ingredients delicately put together. We enjoyed everything we ordered. The three curry we had were all unique, especially the lotus roots one. The beet one had a nice spicy kick! Appetizer wise the crispy eggplant was my favorite. Also loved the garlic naan and parantha.

2022-08-27We had a 60th birthday party for my mother-in-law. The private room was perfect for what we needed. The food was amazing with layers of flavors that left us wanting more! It was such a memorable meal. The wines suggested paired perfectly with the food. Overall the staff was courteous, attended to our needs, and made for a perfect party. We’ll be coming back

2022-02-06WOW this place is AMAZING! The food is absolutely flawless, honestly the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Every single item had such depth of flavor, balance of texture, beautiful presentation. Staff are so, so attentive and friendly. Drinks are too notch too, putting a little Indian twist on classic cocktails. The space is beautifully decorated (the to the name) and so spacious you’ll forget you’re in New York. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

2022-07-21I hosted by moms 60th birthday in their private dining room and everything exceeded my expectations from the food to the service. I cant say enough great things about this restaurant and Id give 10/5 stars if I could. The food was spectacular! We loved the Eggplant Chaat and the Crab Koli and the Lamb Biryani was out of this world. Our favorite drinks were By The Whey and Funky Monk-ey.The family that owns it takes great pride in what they are building. Natasha came in on her day off to make sure everything was prepared before we arrived and was super helpful when it came to pairing drinks with our menu. Juthika answered all of our questions when it came to selecting our menu as we had different diets to accommodate for in our party. Their staff and maître d (Anthony) was amazing from the beginning to the end of the night. Lastly, I had a chance to catch up with Sanjeev (owners husband) during the event and it was really inspiring to hear the story of how this restaurant survived despite opening right before COVID. Thank you Paisley for helping me organize this party for my family!Everything we ordered:Apps:Crab KoliPahadi MurghCrispy Eggplant ChaatEntrees:Kashmiri KoftaChicken ChettinadLamb BiryaniDesserts:Gulab JamunMalai Kulfi

2021-09-17Paisley is an amazing spot!! The vibe is so chill and beautiful. The drinks are incredible (get the funky monkey or drop the beat) and dont get me started with the food. Everything is outstanding quality. I cant wait to come back and tell my friends!!

2022-08-13Was very excited to go after viewing the pictures online and rating. The drinks were over powered with sugar. They had no balance in the drinks. The service was good. The staff constantly checked on us and refilled our water. The food was good but my expectations were a bit higher. I was not impressed. Curry were good but powered with spicies. $100 per person is a lot - wanted some magic moment.Aesthetic of the place can also use an upkeep.Would not really go again.

2022-08-21Vibe was open and beautiful. Really unique lotus chips appetizer that went well with the chaat. We enjoyed the paneer curry as well. Would definitely come here next time if I’m in the area.

2022-09-10Had a lovely time here with elevated Indian dishes. I was surprised by the samosa chaat which was tasty yet balanced. The cheese naan was the highlight for me. Even the rice packed flavor. I also had the mango pisco sour which was good. Warm ambience and attentive service.

2021-12-13Absolutely amazing experience! We went there and couldn’t resist to go back there again within a week! Both times our expectations were so fulfilled and we were so happy.Such a gem of a place with amazing hosts. We were well served, accommodated with all our requests and couldn’t stop eating the amazing food they create! One of the only places that took me back to the flavors of India. The staff is humble, the food is excellent.PS: We wish they served the vada pav for their evening menu as well.

2022-03-21We got all of their veg. appetizers and it was super delicious. Their service is great. Everything from their drinks, food, service and ambience—GREAT!!! Highly recommend.
