I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala boneless with rice through Doordash and it took over an hour for me to get my food and when I called them, they hung up on me twice and 3rd time, picked up phone and hung up, without saying anything. I find that very rude and unprofessional. The food is good, but wont order from them again.
It’s a very convenient place on the corner for a cold beverage or a cup of coffee. They also sell a lot of other small treats and snacks. The staff is very upbeat and pleasant most of the time. They offer limited variety of Indian/desi food. They also have a restroom for patrons.
Stop by for a coffee or iced tea with consistency. I decided to try some of their food; I watched them “cook” chicken over rice in the microwave for maybe 45 seconds tops. They serve them as other reviews have said in non safe microwave containers which I voiced concern for. It was as expected, ice cold in the middle so I called to let them know to leave it in longer for future reference for other customers. They hung up and dismissed me, never going back.
STAY AWAY. If you want to spend this much money, order from malai marke on seamless to order fresh food. Instead of this place go to Punjab Deli on Houston and 1st, way better food and much cheaper ($6 for 3 vegetarian dishes and naan vs $32 for 2 chicken dishes, rice and samosas). The owner had the vibe that he would take advantage of anyone who came in there confused, not knowing English, or ignorant to Indian food, or coming home late at night aka intoxicated. In terms of food, I doubt that that they truly take care of it. Seems like it has been out all day. The meat felt stale, was dry and even looked pink.Go to elsewhere to chill and buy chips...even the the cigarettes here were overpriced.
Its convenient to find ciggratte tea coffee plus previlage of using rest room for cab Uber lyft etc drivers ( for more than 30000 drivers NY City has never arranged any Rest room service most drivers becomes kidney patients with time) the spicy Indian style food is served but its not prepared at premises they use this place as satallite ( cook or prepare somewhere else and bring here to sell ) so most of the time when consumed rice nan or any Curry the customer fell digestive problems .try to eat at a place where they have kitchen and food available is up to food authority standards .
The staff is friendly but every time I ate the food from there i had a bad case of diarrhea to the point where I rushed to the loo all night long. The food is stale and not worth eating. Its not even fit for an animal to eat let alone humans! The items are a bit pricey too.Do not eat the food from here unless you want to end up in the hospital with food poisoning!

2022-06-19Veggie samosa was soggy and lukewarm, similarly the lamb over rice was not heated well and quite cold. The plate was almost completely rice, and they charged me $14 for the lamb over rice and $2.5 for the samosa which is way higher than what I was expecting for quick deli food. Food wasn’t tasty, didn’t finish it.

2022-05-01I Had a wonderful potato dish, I wish I could remember the name (could have been heated a little more. The chicken kebabs were also enjoyable. The vegetable samosa was also quite good.for a bodega counter this was enjoyable. I am in NYC every two weeks and will stop here every single time I stop here. Very Friendly people.

2021-06-13Had the chicken tikka masala and a vegetarian samosa. The chicken tikka was pretty poor, very little flavor. The samosa was ok but had hardly any filling.

2022-02-06These are a bunch of scammers. When I checked my bank account they charged me almost 50 dollars for two dinners that should have been 6.50 a piece. When I called to ask about the amount thinking it was a simple mistake, they hung up on me. When I tried to call back they did not answer. After reading the comments it seems this is something they do based on the time or the way you look or speak. This is actually criminal and not only will I be disputing the charge, I recommend anyone with a similar experience to report them. Also the food was cold and terrible

2018-03-11Came here by accident. Hah. A friend told me to check out a place called Punjabi on 1st Ave. We didnt realize it was the wrong place toll after we ordered. It was tad pricey for what it was. Customer service was super nice and friendly. If you pay with cash you get a discount!

2021-12-14Two stars because my first experience here was great…my second visit was not. Despite asking for it hot (they heat in microwave) it was completely cold, and I ate it 5 minutes after heating. And there was hair in my food

2021-08-31Absolutely horrible. They look at you then make up prices on the spot. One guy told me its one price for a side of lentils, and then a few minutes later another guy told me it was double the price for the same mini side of lentils. That happens in India a lot; a white tourist walks into any shop and the price triples because of your skin color. Didnt think it would happen in NYC though.Surd enough, there was an Indian guy eating a plate of their food outside and I asked him how much for his meal; it was a lot less than the price I was quoted.I just now looked at other reviews and everyones saying they skimp on portions, samosa are empty, and they wont even add flavors or spice to their dishes.Shady practices through and through.Avoid this sketch place and their horrible service!!!
