I’ve never felt compelled to ever review a restaurant in my life but I have to for here. I love Panda Express but never order from this location especially over delivery. The food is so salty it could potentially kill someone with hypertension. Second when you order for delivery they sneakily hide rice under the meat to make it look bigger. I ordered with broccoli beef and it came with two pieces of beef. Underneath was a whole ball of rice. I thought the first time they made a mistake but this is the second time it’s happened. ORDER FROM THE METROPOLITAN AVE LOCATION NEVER HERE!!!
Pre-ordered via DoorDash for a pickup 15 minutes ahead of time considering there is no where to park, no standing zones and bus stops nearby. When you enter the establishment there is large, bold signage saying to head to the front/register area for pickup/delivery orders. The cashier was completing someones check out, I was patiently waiting behind them and as she was done literally flagged the next customer down to check out there meals. I had to announce that I was picking up an order and she then asked the name of the order, checked the phone screen, etc. The pre-ordered pickup/delivery orders are kept behind the counter and not on the nearby shelving. If someone is standing there, not on the main line and to pickup as the signs indicate, you cannot just ignore them and assume they are loitering in the restaurant or something. There needs to be a more streamlined and direct pickup experience. The food overall was as expected of Panda Express, the rice was however slightly under cooked and the meat portion size is skimpy. This is not the first time this has occured at this location either and seems to just be the norm here sadly.
Ok. But I think is overpriced for a typical chinese food if comparing against other lunch specials.

I enjoyed the look of the space. I was pleased when I noticed additional seating going towards the back. That is not immediately noticeable at first glance. I really like that you can see into the kitchen and watch them cooking. The menu seemed small but I assume that’s the typical norm. My brother - the actual customer - enjoyed the food very much. It was our first time doing business with Panda Express. If it was Gluten Free, I’d definitely give them a try but for people without dietary restrictions, two thumbs up. Staff was also polite.
The food isnt tasting as good as when they first opened. You get less food too and theyre expensive. I ordered fried rice, walnut shrimp, and beef and broccoli. I was disappointed.
I dont understand all of the negative reviews. The store is well kept, the staff are really friendly and the food was great. Good amountThis store can be a bit busy which equates to a longer than usual waiting time but as this store develops, they should hire more people and have at least two to three people working the food stations and register. When I went there, there was only one.The staff members are trained well and as long as its well kept, this location is a go-to for my friends and I.

At first when they started their service was always superb, but today when I stepped in multiple people were waiting for items to cook, (I was not one of them) however my food was sitting out in the open not being rung as the cashiers were “too busy”, by the time I got my order my Beef & Broccoli was cold (and too salty). They can do better.
I ordered online for pickup and was told to do so 20 minutes after I ordered. I arrived and my food was not ready. Staff scrambled to get the order ready and asked for my money back. Staff ignored me until I pressed the issue. I asked to speak to the manager and one woman came out and tried to convince me to take part of my order. Again I asked for a refund and then another lady in all black came out and said she would give me a refund once she went to the back of the store and it would be reflected in my account. Its been almost two hours and my funds have not been refunded to me. I will. Ever eat here again. Do not go here
The orange chicken was too salty and not sweet. I’m not sure who made the orange chicken like that. please make it taste like an actual orange chicken and not something bland and salty.The space is good and the employees are pretty cool but it’s just the orange chicken that’s my biggest concern. The orange chicken is really the backbone of this company.
I stepped into this restaurant and there was only one worker there. She was overwhelmed. I asked for fried rice... nope no fried rice. I asked for teriyaki chicken...chicken no sauce. So o decided to go with the black pepper chicken and the walnut shrimp. For an extra $1.50 you get 5 shrimps. It was good. The chicken .... i had more onions on my plate then chicken. I was disappointed by this place. The actual store was nice and very clean.
They messed up my order and gave me two of the same entrees. Worker was distracted and on her phone. They put the right order on my receipt but no in the bag.
Would have given 5 stars being I eat here on a regular basis since opening... however tonights chef needs help.. or the sou chef perhaps.. the beef and shrimp was extremely salty. I know the taste because its my favorite. Always order for myself and children.
We arrived at this restaurant for a meeting. my friend recommended this place. Well, it was very successful. The crew were extremely nice and we had a great feeling. The food was just great. We loved this restaurant very much and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Warmly recommended.
Good but the food is a bit expensive. Oh!!! Before I forget: there’s a homeless mentally ill person who makes people feel uncomfortable. He walks in every time and the managers don’t seem to care. He stinks and is very violent. He comes to the library often also.be very careful of him
I have been to this location at least 4 times already,Very easy to access, and the staff are nice and courteous. There are two things that needs to be addressed, mainly,there is too much salt in the foods, they need to add less since they are promoting healthy foods choices, and they is way too much greasethis is quite unhealthy 🙄.

Friendly staff, but slow service; I ordered pick up from Uber Eats. It took over 20 minutes for the order to be done. However the food was fresh and tasty!
Definitely a top Chinese style restaurant in jamaica queens. They also give you really decent size portions of food, not like some other restaurant, that are stingy with there meat.plus they make it right there in front of you,through the glass window at the counter.
Food always taste good at Panda. It wasnt steaming hot though. But I cannot complain due to me going there a half hour before closing. FYI if you want a wide choice of selections you must get there before 9PM. Kitchen closes at 9PM so you will only have a choice of whats left or what needs to be finished. The actual store closes at 10PM.
I came to this restaurant on opening day, and while I was actually on my way to Chipotle that day, I couldnt help but check this place out.I ordered a Bowl with the Shanghai Angus Steak and White Rice, and while I normally dont like rice, I can say that this restaurant has the distinction of being the one place that actually got me to like it. Everything was delicious, and the customer service that day was good.Now, I briefly came in yesterday, but left because the line was literally wrapping around the store in a U-shape. Does this mean I will take off stars? Well, no. It isnt fair to count such things against a store when they cant help but have long lines. If anything, the long lines are a testament to how good the food is and how in demand it is. Ill eat here again for sure, but only when the line isnt long.
Ok, was trying to go out on a date but I have some issues. When you walk in, youre presented with what size you want and what youd like from the 10-12 choices in front of you. They never told me there was more food down towards the cashier! After the obligatory request to help the children, 2 plates and 2 drinks, our meal came up to $37 for Chinese food. $37 for Chinese food. Think about that for a moment! The shrimp wasnt so bad but the chow mein made me vomit TWICE!!! On the good side, the fountain drinks were good...
Kind of pricey, but the quality is better then most places. Look out for sales/discounts online, you can get some really good value if youre lucky.
I am a long time customer of Panda Express for the taste and quality of food. During yesterday’s visit, an unpleasant incident happened. I ordered a bigger plate (fried rice, angus steak, kung pao ckn, sweet fire ckn brst), one medium chowmein, 1 entree of veg spring roll (2pc) and one ckn egg roll. The cashier billed it wrongly by putting the ckn egg roll in the bigger plate and billed separately for the sweet fire ckn brst. This was going to cost me $3 extra and I mentioned it to her. She along with the server behaved rudely with me and were reluctant to change the bill. This incident happened once earlier also but I did not correct them at that time. I am not worried about the extra bill but it was their behavior that made me upset. Later, they did change the bill and it was lower than what they billed previously. The stuff should be more courteous to the customers. I understand that mistakes can happen, but you should also politely admit that. That’s the minimum courtesy you should show!P.S. I tried the same order using their website to see what the total came, and I was right. The bill should have been lower but they were charging more.
Its ok I mean the service is slightly slow but quick enough to grab a quick snack on your way to work even if you are late. they had this DELICIOUS chicken,I believe it was called Honey Sesame Chicken and some SCRUMPTIOUS noodle oh my god it was soooo good
Horrible service. The staff is disrespectful and unprofessional. I literally had to walk out because of the aggressiveness of this lady working there. Extremely unprofessional and mannerless. I myself work at a fast food place and haven’t seen such unprofessional crew. I would suggest avoiding this place at all costs. The one at forest hills is much better.
The portion sizes are very small here at this location you definitely don’t get your money’s worth. Any other Panda Express is pretty generous.
I always have an issue with this location when I’m ordering from Uber Eats. They never answer their phones so I can ask them about my order. I called 5 times. Someone answered and just hung up on me each time.
This location is the worst, ever time I place an order with DoorDash the order is always wrong. I’m so confused why it’s so hard to get an order right. This is my last time ordering I tried to give them another chance, but I guess they’re too incompetent.
Ordered food thru doordash , food came late, missing my shrimp, and no teriyaki on my chicken. Safe to say this location lost any future business from me. UPDATE: and there was a hair in my food!

Holy hell. A small beef with brocolli that is 6.25 is literally meant for a toddler. 3 peices of meat with 3 peices of brocolli - heres the kicker - it comes with no rice.Now I know why theres so many of them. Milk every single penny from customers.

My experience wasnt great as they didnt even open on time. I went there last Sunday with a friend. They were supposed to be open at 11 am. We waited for almost 40 mins. The store didnt open. It was no HOLIDAY. very disappointed.

2022-05-01I spent over $45 here on Jamaica Ave for my family to eat. The food was ok, the establishment would not provided my family with plates to sit and eat. They gave us food covers with holes in the bottom. Unsanitary and unacceptable! I will never be eating here again and Id hope no one else visit this location either. I love panda expresssl. From west coast to east coast I love you panda express. I will NEVER return to Jamaica Ave panda express!Blessings!

2021-12-05I ordered my meal via Uber Eats app. I enjoyed it but the noodle needed to broil for 3 more minutes. Besides that, it was my first time having Panda Express, it was fresh and tasty, so Ill be ordering it again.

2018-06-01Ive been in here a couple of times now and its a great place. Depending on the day you can catch nice servers giving you a tiny bit extra because this Panda express is a bit strict on portion sizes (my only complaint). The space is still clean so far and is doing pretty well despite being next door neighbors to chipotle. They are spacious and clean, with awesome asian takeout! So far Ive only ordered the honey walnut shrimp, and steak with broccoli.

2021-03-13Quick counter style order to take-out. Staff was courteous and fast paced.. ok what I ordered Food was good. Flavorful but greasy abit. Had a to go mixed platter of sesame and green beans along with Lo mien and teriyaki chicken with sauce. Social distancing and masks are enforced. Didnt see anyone dinning in although NYC restaurants have opened back up to 50%.

2019-04-09I ordered the chow mein with chicken teriyaki. The counterperson told me to wait 5 mins which ended up being more like 10 minutes. Regarding the food, the chowmein was meh. Tasted like it was left out there for too long and the noodles are too thin and long for my liking. The chicken teriyaki seemed a little undercooked for the time I waited and the sauce was way too sweet. Tasted like I was eating candy instead of meat. I wouldnt recommend these two options to anyone. Either order something else or go somewhere else.

2021-09-21Crazy rushes of people, wait time and chaos. I ordered on the app and it took 45 minutes for my food to be prepared and given to us. There were two registers and a line of people trying to cut each other for Uber/Lyft/GrubHub/order pickups. They need a better system, maybe an additional register dedicated to pickups. Food was what you youd expect, over-breaded chicken, however I will say the egg rolls were surprisingly good and probably the best thing there.
