Panera Bread in other cities:
Panera used to be our go to place when in a pinch. Unfortunately the last 3 occasions we have visited this particular location, we have left disappointed. I biggest pull for me is their Frontega Chicken Sandwich and the chicken and wild rice. What we used to get and what we have got are a far cry from each other. They seem to skimping on the chicken in the sandwich as well as the soup. The bread is drowning in the dressing and the soup is a sea of just the broth that seems like someone just sprinkled a little something into it as an after thought.
I ordered a Greek salad - nothing complicated, just lettuce tomatoes, onions, Peperoncini and feta cheese. They are always proud of saying that they use fresh veggies, but what happened as soon as I opened my salad and started eating, I saw a rotting onion on my salad.
I came through the drive thru after they had been open for 30 minutes. I ordered 2 items, a coffee and a souffle. The souffle was burnt on the outside and undercooked in the inside. The coffee tasted scorched and had a lot of grounds in it. I ended up throwing away what was going to be a nice treat for breakfast.
Often eat at a Panera since they are often located next to car Superchargers. Recently the experience is more varied than before due to some locations having trouble staffing up. The food is still good but the service and wait time can be less than ideal. I hope it gets better.
Their rapid pickup is not at all rapid. A 20 minute wait while a few customer orders got plain old lost in the system. Rethink this Panera central! A cluster of people waiting by your rapid pickup window and breathing on the food is just gross! Why did you drop the pager system that allowed people to not bunch up while waiting?? Maybe Ill go back after covid but Ill call ahead to see what food safety measures are in place.
I arrived a bit late for breakfast, not knowing is ended at 10:30, but saw a sign for a particular sandwich, tried to order and was told breakfast is over. Saw 3 quiches behind the glass and asked for one of those only to be told those are breakfast items. I asked if they would sell them anyway, they said they cant, and threw them away on the spot. So I settled for a bowl of soup and espresso. I waited at a table for about 10 minutes but the pager never went off. I walked over to the pickup area and saw a bowl of soup and what looked like a coffee sitting up there but wasnt sure it was mine. A gal behind the counter asked another what that was and she shrugged I dont know and the matter was dropped. I sat for another 5-10 minutes getting impatient for a seemingly simple order and asked the gal that shrugged, what is this? Whos it for? Without thinking or looking, she shrugged again saying I dont know, then she actually looked at the cup and said my name... so after all that I was never paged and my espresso was cold. That gal was utterly useless.
I love Panera, but the Panera on Walden Ave is the absolute worst Ive ever been too. The majority of the people who work there, that interact with the customers are unbelievably rude. I went threw the drive thru twice in the last month and each time the girl was extremely rude.
This place is absolutely repulsive! Dining room is a filthy mess, long waits for food, Mass confusion, they dont use the pagers or know why they dont use them. Dirty plates piled up all over the place. How management allows this is absolutely Beyond me. Ill Never go to this one again. Id love to see Gordon Ramsay Take a Walk Through This dump.
Was my first-time going to this locations drive-thru. I ordered a large chicken Ceasar salad with no croutons, a large strawberry poppyseed salad, and a half of grilled cheese sandwich. By the time I got to the window to receive my order, I parked in the parking lot to check my my food only to find that I did not receive my grilled cheese sandwich. I had to go back in the store with my receipt just to get the sandwich I paid for.
Panera Bread has dramatically changed. Their portions have decreased. Their prices have increased. Their employee customer service skills are poor. On two separate occasions, I visited two different sites and they both were closed early. Im very disappointed and will only visit if its my only healthy choice.
My second time coming to Panera since last week, waited about 35 minutes the first time and 25 minutes the second time around 9:00am both times through the drive-thru. All employees were just standing around not doing anything. I was told to pull over into the number spots to wait for my order. They didn’t even have the Mac and cheese ready yet and they have been open for 2 hours already. Service sucks, won’t be going back to this location.
This location is always unreliable. The person working the drive through did not not different menu names I had to tell her what goes into what drinks. I use to work at Panera And know what they train really well. However this location is just bad. I got there 10 mins before before breakfast ended and they said we ended it early. I’m just disappointed.
I went to Panera on august 31. I am hearing impaired and asked the woman at the drive through to take down her mask for a moment because I could not hear her. I explained I was hearing impaired and had to read lips. She said she couldn’t take off her mask. I asked her to write down what she was asking me. She rolled her eyes and scoffed and stomped away. She returned with a piece of paper she threw at me that said “do you want a cup or a bowl.” Then when I got my food it looked like the sandwich had been completely mangled. I reported what happened to Panera because I do not feel as a hearing impaired person this was an appropriate way to treat a person asking for a minor accommodation. This was the careless response I received. Absolutely zero compassion, apology or promise to make it right. I found this so offensive I will never patronize Panera again.
Inside was dirty, garbage all over the floor. The specialty cold drinks tasted old and stale. Salad was soggy. Service was unacceptable, they had no lids for the cups and when I asked the employee if I could swap mine for a cup that has a lid she pretty much rolled her eyes at me. This location needs a lot of work!
Cant get the order right, then after I went back through re-order the right stuff without complaining because I didn’t want confrontation they asked me to pull up…What kind of place is this that I have to wait for a grilled cheese, why are the people behind me more important than I am? I will never be back and I will make sure anyone I know never goes back either. They should shut down rather than having the people work there that they do. If you can’t get competent help close up until you can
Out of baguettes at a bakery which is unacceptable. They put horseradish on my turkey avo BLT. And the broccoli cheddar soup was watery and had no flavor. Then when I called to complain, they kept asking for my address and did nothing to correct it. I will not be ordering from this Panera again
Its Panera. If you have not been yet, its an okay place. They have sandwiches, not really healthy but better than your atypical fast food joint. Not very expensive, unless you by their grossly over priced drinks. Which, by the way, have shrunk in size but not price. Im not a huge fan, but the wife enjoys it. If not for her, Id never actually go there myself. I can make a better sandwich at home, save on cost and wait and have less if a chance its made wrong. If you fancy a sandwich and dont feel like making it yourself, cant go wrong here I supposed. They also have baked goods, decent but also expensive for what you are getting.
A pretty typical Panera Bread. The food was hot and tasted good. The prices are a bit high for what is in essence still a fast food restaurant. The staff was not terribly warm or friendly and forgot some of our order, causing us to need to go back to the counter repeatedly. However the building was well-maintained, cleanly and once we received our full order it was enjoyable.
I frequent this panera about 3 to 4 times per week and the service is always great! The employees are always really nice and stay on top of cleaning. Theyll take your dishes for you if you are done eating but they notice you are sitting there for a while working , which is great customer service. I always see the same people working when I come in so its nice to know theres consistency in service. They wont just hire anyone, everyone there is friendly. The food is a little pricey but youre paying for fresh baked breads and organic food. Even if your kids what chocolate milk itll be organic so you get what you pay for ! Portion sizes are pretty good and if youre really hungry bread bowls work! Free wife, a nice fireplace in the winter, and quick mobile ordering. Go to spot for working on my laptop or having short meetings.
We placed an order for 7 people for a medical office at the Walden Ave location today. It was horrible, first you can no longer order on line or even call in an order without a credit card which is ridiculous! Who would ever order for 7 people and then not show up to get the order. Panera has to be the only restaurant in America that does this which is very inconvenient. When calling in the order with a credit card the girl who took the order put us on hold for 5-10 minutes because she couldnt find the extra pickle button then put in our credit card number wrong and lost the whole order and put us on hold for 10 more minutes to see if she could find it and she could not so we had to put in the whole order again and was told it would be up to an hour when we just spent 30 minutes ordering!! When we got our lunch not only did we not get extra pickles we got NO pickles!!! We ordered whole sandwichs and only got a half sandwich and to top it all off the bread that came with the soup was looked burned and was so hard we couldnt eat it and crumbled when we tried to cut or ripped it. We banged it on the table and it didnt even crack it. I am not sure if it is just this location but due to this experience our office will never order from them again!! We will also never recommend them to anyone let alone any other medical office. We waited an hour and a half from ordering to being ready and were not even able to enjoy our lunch due to this subpar food and service. Extremely disappointed!! I didnt even want to give them the one star it made me click on to leave this review!!!
The prices are good for the quality of food and service they provide. We meet their for our mens community church group and have always felt very welcomed. Its quiet, clean and the outdoor eating provides comfort and security considering COVID-19 hasnt been eliminated.
Half the time I come here, the only thing better than the food is the staff. On the other hand, Ive never seen a restaurant screw up so many things. How can a place go from a shift with attentive and hardworking employees that make me want to eat every meal here, to a shift where half my order is wrong and I dont even get utensils???? If the person handing out the food at drive-thru is supposed to be a general manager, but cant do the most simple task of checking an order??? What??? Id rather drive an extra 15 minutes to go to a store that can perform the basics of their job.
Was feeling sick so ordered online and picked up on the way home from work. Got the bacon grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup with a fruit cup and made me feel much better. Everything was still hot when I got home and enjoyed it thoroughly. My only wish is that the prices were a little lower and thats why I withheld one star but I understand that in this world you do get what you pay for.
I am SO DISAPPOINTED with this location! I have ordered the teriyaki chicken sandwich & the steak & white cheddar panini before so I knew what I should be getting! My boyfriends $10.79 steak & cheddar hardly had any steak on it. It was all clumped up in one spot andthe onions bunched up in a different spot. My $9.59 chicken sandwich was DRY i dont think there was any mayo. One half hardly had any chicken but lots of lettuce other side had more chicken but 2 pieces of lettuce! Dinner for 2 cost over $40 and i was VERT UNSATISFIED with the quality of our meal! Our food was THROWN together like I was bothering whoever made it! So if your looking to get your moneys worth... Do not go to this location!
The price, most people agree, is rather high for a sandwich shop, but you are paying for the quality. Unfortunately for us, we did not feel well after eating broc & cheese soup. I know it was the soup (not the other items) because it kept coming up for both of us. We spent the rest of the day trying to keep it down and ready with a plastic bag at hand. The service at this location, however, was exceptional. There was a young man who was very attentive in making sure that plates were cleared, tables cleaned, etc. We really appreciated him. That made this location stand out! I think the management is doing something right.
The best sandwiches, soups, and baked goods youll find anywhere. No chemicals or additives in any ingredients. The Walden Ave. location has dine-in, rapid pick-up, take-out, catering, and home and office delivery. 5 ways to do Panera thats convenient! The only downside is Panera is not cheap, but they have top notch food and its fast!
Good healthy food, but not cheap. At this location they have the vibrating tags, and you have to go up and get your food. The other locations have me spoiled, since they bring the food to your table. I think the salads are really great. Creative and original ingredients. You can order either via the app, at an iPad in the restaurant, or person-to-person. In cold weather theres a high-up has fireplace thats lit, giving a nice atmosphere.
Online orders are incorrect or missing something 75% of the time. Thats not an exaggeration after 10+ orders. Staff is always apologetic and remedies the mistake which is why they still get 3 stars. Having to wait for them to come back each time is frustrating and I imagine its tough on the drivers. An extra 10 seconds of quality assurance per order can go a long way.
LOVE this place. I order bagels for in store pick up, nearly every week! The bagels are fresh, priced VERY reasonable (less expensive than your grocery stores)! Great variety of bagel flavors and popular flavors are most usually in stock for pick up too. The breads are also VERY fresh, great tasting. Option to have them pre-cut or toasted is available with NO extra charge. Staff is VERY friendly, eager to help you. Food is fresh, great tasting, kid friendly. When you join the my panera rewards membership/club you receive frequent free products and discounts!
First time here, and probably wont be back to this location. Poor organization and management it seems. Waiting almost 10 minutes while they ran around the back trying to complete other orders. I had 2 bagels toasted with cream cheese, which is pretty simple. Bagels were hard and chewy, didnt seem like they were toasted at all. And then we had to wait while they handed out other orders, and we only needed a packet of cream cheese. Very dissatisfied with the customer service and speed of service. I think that the staff should at least acknowledge the customers if they are waiting right in front of the food pick up window.
Horrible customer service. I called 5 different Panera Breads and every person on the phone had an attitude and said the location I am trying to deliver to is out of their Delivery Radius. when in fact it is not. All of the locations are within 3 miles of where I am trying to get food for someone that is sick. I will NEVER order anything from this awful establishment EVER again. If i could give this less than one star, i would. And thats not even talking about their Disgusting food. VERY DISAPPOINTED
Good soups and sandwiches, I like the corn (summer) and broccoli cheddar (fall). Theres a good selection of iced tea, green tea is my favorite. Their hot chocolate is one of the best that Ive had. Next time I will try the mac and cheese and Cuban sandwich. Definitely reccomend.
I work here so I have a back of the house look at the daily operation but my rating is based off of the food quality and speed of the orders going out in the front of the cafe and on deliveries. My favorite item from this place is the steak and arugala very good and meaty seasonal items I like are the summer chowder the rhubarb cake for summer Fall items are the autumn squash soup pumpkin bagel and I cant wait for the turkey chili to come out on the fall menu.
Modern Greek salad had almost no Quinoa, missing other ingredients and the baget was tiny and dry. My Lentil Quinoa Bowl was good, spicy but again short on ingredents. side salad came with ok. Apple was old and brown. Staff was nice, pleasant, Im sure they dont get paid enough. Living wage? doubt it. Def. the worst Panera Ive visited. Sorry, truth hurts. Get better.
Got a Thai Chicken salad with no won ton chips and extra cilantro. When I got it, there was hardly any cilantro on it, so I asked for more. The worker looked at me with a killer look, said nothing, and brought a tiny pinch of cilantro. I politely asked for more and she just walked away so I had to ask the other worker for some. He laughed, and put a tiny pinch on again. I asked for a little bit more when Im assuming the manager came over and asked what I wanted. I said I just want a little more cilantro on my salad. So she gave me more. I love Paneras food and Ive been to many different locations but this bunch of workers were the rudest people Ive ever seen working at any Panera. Extra cilantro means extra cilantro. Really hoping for a more pleasant experience for everyone else.
I had a very bad experience at this location and I will probably never return again. I had a $5 ecard that the cashier would not honor because my phone was in safety mode after speaking to a manager about this issue I pulled away just to find that my $10 Greek salad had no dressing so I had to drive to another Panera bread and ask the manager to get me some dressing for my very expensive salad
Had lunch with a friend food is always good and I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and got tuna. Ok how did I order chicken and the lady who took my order verified it with me and still gave me tuna. I was heated from now on I will double check my order before I leave.
I ordered $50 of worth of food online for rapid pick up & i also mentioned in the msg box that we will dine there. On arrival food wasnt ready secondly i have been told that the bread we ordered is not available. Secondly they packed all my food to go which make me think they dont even bother to read my request. When i got my food the soup has no croutons on it, we missing a cookie & order wasnt made on time so whats the point of making an online one plus the staff member has an attitude problem. Me & my wife were fasting & we were there to break our fast & timing is extremely important. Anyways we were very loyal customers & spend tons of money butvfrom todays experience we are not going back to this location on Walden Ave.
Walked over to have breakfast at 9:00 in the morning and no souffles available. No offer to make one, no attempt to come up with another suggestion, just a rather terse were out and moved on to the next customer. Who by the way, followed me out unhappy with their experience as well.
I get three stars because of the very polite gentleman that took his time to speak with me while his busy schedule was too clean tables that were not kept on you made my stay pleasant and thats why it went for me to start two or three star all the food is excellent on time and delicious I couldnt find a clear place for me and my family to sit down and eat all of it was multiple tables that was open upon entering the building that was a foul smell in the sally port

2022-05-13Sadly I cannot give anything above a 2 star review. I came in for a simple coffee and muffin. Did the self order and got my coffee and patiently waited for my order. I have been to a dozen Panera locations and I can safely say the employees in the sandwich and food area were moving at a snails pace. I waited no less than 10 minutes for a cranberry Orange muffin. And when I stepped up and asked the worker produced it, turns out it was sitting there behind the counter. I’ve never seen a slower pace crew. On a side note I had to use the self serve kiosk because there was no employees working the registers that I could have asked for assistance. Strongly advise people to avoid this location.

2022-03-23Behind the food prep counter is an employee who needs a wake up call!!! 15 min wait to toast 2 bagels. Packed it and never put it up on the counter. Stood there with absolutely no acknowledging I was waiting . Whats wtong with the generation of pay me more so I can do less. Thanks Panera employee you made my decision to go to a different location from now on.

2022-03-14Order said it was ready at 10:36, my husband went to pick it up around 10:50 and they didnt have anything for him. They asked me to wait off to the side until he was called. Eventually he went back up and asked about it and the cashier had it right next to her as she continually took other customers. She told him she would go slice the bagels - he told her not to bother as he had already been waiting 30 minutes for a pack of bagels. There was one other item on the order that wasnt included at all - a chai tea latte. Overall poorly run pick-up operation and bad management of customers.

2022-03-08Service was slow. My order was wrong and the food tasted funny. I found a piece of plastic in my Mac and cheese as well. Lazy workers. Terrible experience. First time at any Panera that my food tasted off. Stay away from this one for sure

2022-04-30Great food! Very friendly people. Only complaint is that employees were standing around and tables were disgusting. We had to wipe our own table off w a napkin that we wet in the drink dispenser.

2020-12-08The cashier was great. She was bubbly and very polite knowledgeable and hospitable. The cheddar broccoli soup bread bowl was very tasty. I will recommend if u do nlt like a lot of bread just get the cup.or bowl of soup. My daughter had 10 veggie soup and loved it. My other daughter had french onion soup and loved it. The bread bowl us a sour dough with a pungent sour taste. The cinnamon roll was tasty. I heated it up next day for 40secs and it was great. They have so many options for vegans and vegetarian. The drink options are amazing. So many natural lemonades and teas. Grear place to grab a quick healthy reasonably price bite to eat.
