Panera Bread in other cities:
My first time visiting a Panera Bread and I really enjoyed my time there. The Papaya Passion Green Tea was not too sweet just as it was advertised as. Their soups make you feel like home/warm inside, like comfort food. They allowed us to stay for a couple hours to do some work so a big plus there.
Very pricey for the amount of food you get. Went with my daughter and placed an order. It was after 8:30pm, wasnt busy. Waited around for a while meanwhile our food was waiting for us on the other side of the counter. The cashier never told us and saw us waiting. Terrible service!
Food is always good at Panera Bread in East Meadow but the service can be a little slow. I ordered ahead on my Panera mobile app about 5 minuets before arriving at the location. I only ordered a coffee (just the cup). I waited inside the restaurant for almost 10 minuets before I had to approach someone and ask for it. I can understand if it was crowded but it wasnt that busy in there.
The low rating has to do with the food. It was by far some of the worst Panera I ever had. I got a simple pick two with a Mac and cheese and a broccoli cheddar soup, and it tasted disgusting. However, the staff, especially the woman who took our order were very polite and diligent, which is why the rating isnt lower. Thank you, and Im sorry for the harsh review.
Strange. Pantera bread. Ive never been in here till today because I was under the impression they only sold bread. But they actually sell soups and sandwiches. Now with this said, imagine all the people that never been here because they think they sell bread. Smartest move an owner can make is to leave bread off the name. Just Panera would obviously bring in way more patrons.
Visited this Panera after my 2 kids soccer class. My daughter loves Panera. I had a gift card that I purchased which expired the week before and the manager was extremely hospitable and honored it graciously. As a nice surprise, they also provided an extra kids yogurt for my two kids. Food was consistent and good as usually and cant beat the bread that comes with the meals. My daughter always hoards them all for herself. These small touches really made my day and made me into a loyal customer to this store. There is also a nice fireplace which not all the restaurants have.
It was my first time using Panera Bread delivery option and I was slightly unsatisfied with my experience. The driver delivered the wrong order but was quick to come back with my correct order and even added a free cookie. People make mistakes but I’m glad the service was fast and my food was still warm and delicious.
Clean though busy location, great window areas and settings for cozy consumption of sandwiches and soups. One of my favorite Panera Bread locations. Swift service and nice staff. Tables with rigid chairs, sofa like cozy spots by a faux fireplace or seats like Benches. Great layout.
PLEASE AVOID THIS PANERA!! If I could put zero stars, I would. I walked into this Panera and Karla had a very bad attitude. She was zoning out while taking my order. The manger came to the front and they were both laughing with each other. They got my order wrong, and continued having an attitude. I will never come back to this Panera!
The express order kiosk is a botch. Too extensive a menu to find things on the screen. I suggest you just wait in line for a kid at the cash register to take your order. I had the pick 2 combo with Thai chicken on a salad + turkey chili soup (+ potato chips and a cold drink). Many flavored teas on tap at the drink station and a reasonable range of sodas (Pepsi, not Coke). Lunch was tasty. I especially like how crunchy their kettle fried potato chips are. For dessert I had a chocolate croissant. The chocolate inside it was more like a gooey icing than the embedded piece of chocolate Id have preferred. I probably should have opted for a cookie.
The service at the cash register is wonderful, but they will always forget to say that the order is to stay and the kitchen will get it to go. When I told the lady in the back that my order was to stay not to go she simply said “he put it as to go” with so much attitude and just left. If an employee messes up an order, the customer should not have to compromise. I come here a lot and was very upset by this service.
East Meadow locale. Its not the best.A bit slow on orders.Especially the simple ones like coffee and yogurt blends, which seems counterintuitive.Usually out of stock on egg sandwich brioche bread. Its a roll of the dice when stopping here. The Hicksville locale is a much tighter operation.Check them out in Broadway Mall Center.
I love this place mostly in the winter. I get mad that in the summer months, Panera gets rid of the turkey chili. Its one of my favorite plates there. They also got rid of the black beans which was my substitute. So unfortunately I dont go there as much during the summer.
There was no one at the front to take our breakfast order at 8:40am. We saw three employees working in the back. They looked at us and kept working. After waiting for about a good minute or two, we asked for assistance. To our amazement, they kept working for another minute before coming to assist. We then asked for the manager who promptly informed us that we can make the order at the self help kiosk. Well, Sherlock, hows it going to get to us? Food is good but their service sucks !!! My wife asked the manager Does the customer come first?. Reply back was Yes & No . That is a first for us in any retail store.

Hands down one of my favorite type of food, half sandwich and soup, or a great salad but that is sadly where it stops. The employees at this location are very nice BUT most speak with an accent that is just too hard for me to understand. I am not quick on my feet when its my turn because I keep changing in my head what I want. I am also gearing up to explain to my husband how I spent as much on lunch for one person as we spend on dinner for two anywhere else. They have ridiculously high prices and while the food is consistently good it still doesn’t cost them that much to make a half sandwich and cup of soup. Forget the drinks I usually just have my water bottle from home with me. I have to laugh when I go to pick up my meal because 9 out of 10 times they forget the bread and that damn bread they guard with their lives. They break off a little chunk and give you a look like its the last supper and there has to be enough to go around for all. One guy said to me you have a half sandwich so you don’t get bread with it. I said not true...look at the menu board it says soup with bread. His eyes boar though me and he said well we cant keep doing that when you have a sandwich on the side. What did he think I was carrying a small Child in my tote purse and was going to feed it...so what i like to splurge once in a while if I am paying for it i am getting it. I was later to find out he was a covering manager, ha he didn’t get too good of a score on my receipt “let us know how we’re doing survey and earn yourself a cookie” LOL. But when all is said and done i do love PANERA food but can only afford it once in a while.
Not too good on the opening come Monday mornings. Usually door still closed at 6am. Some of the food not ready. Seems like the manager plays an important part of this. Week before this posting was a big difference in everything. Manager was different and got a good morning when I came in. Needless to say I wont be returning to this Panera bread anymore.
.wifi is completely inconsistent and is never on so if you need to get work done dont come here.for some reason everything always runs out this includes multiple food items and coffee.tables and seats are rarely cleaned in between customers.the salad i finally ordered appeared to consist of old wilted lettuce
The food is consistently good here, but its also consistently cold in there too. Im not sure why, but the A.C. is always blasted there, even in the winter. In certain spots, you wont feel it that much, but in other spots, it is ridiculously cold. If youre just picking up, then of course this is not a problem, but if youre dining in or looking to get some work done there, be sure to bundle up!
Every time I order from this Panera and do rapid order, my order is incorrect. I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken and asked for no Caesar, instead chili ranch rojo and to add avocado (charged for). Well I received Caesar dressing and no avocado. Unfortunately I went on my lunch break and didn’t realize until I was back at work. Why does somebody sign off stating order is correct when it is far from? This is so annoying, especially since the salads are not cheap. To make it even worse, I redeemed a coupon for my salad which was an absolute waste.
This place is the worst. I order a breakfast sandwich with sausage, cheese and egg. After 20 minutes of waiting, they said they have no more sausage. They offered bacon but I did not want it. How can you not know you are out of an item and not communicate it. I come to this location for coffee sometime only to find after buying a cup the coffees ate empty and then I wait 15 minutes or more for them to fill it up. One more totally annoying issue. I used to come at 10:45am all the time then they stopped serving breakfast at 10:30 am. That is too early. I will no longer eat here with my family and friends and let them know how incompetent the staff is here. Just terrible!
Sometimes you get good service and sometimes you dont! Theres a need for a supervisor to be by the cashiers, just to make sure that they take your order right away. They stop serving breakfast at 10:30am. Which is a bummer. Who orders lunch at 10:30am?? Giving them 3 stars ,just because they now have more variety when it comes to breakfast sandwiches. That is ,if you make it before 10:30am:(
Have a bad experience today. There was a line in the kiosk, so I went to the counter. The lady wasnt quite happy because she had to work, I guess. And soup was not hot enough today. This is my neighborhood panara and they are usually very good, so I will still go there
Something went awry this morning. Found another guest waiting when I arrived who promptly told me there was a rapid pick up issue. I rapidly found out after she left! Orders being prepared were not showing on monitor. Order took over 10 additional minutes causing me to arrive late for work. To make matters worse, my sandwich was it prepared according to my request. I didnt realize it until I arrived at work & started to eat. I was really disappointed.
The Panera in Levittown is unfortunately the closest and most convenient to my home. Every visit I have there’s always an issue. From my orders wrong to rude employees on the phone and now the manager. They’re completely unprofessional and I hate visiting this location but I do love Panera. Had a moment with a man named Patrick who seemed like the manager, completely out of line the way he spoke to my boyfriend and I.
Today I had a flat bread pizza and Greek salad. The pizza was large n served whole, uncut. It was hard to cut it with a butter knife. It was so cold in the restaurant and I asked them if they could make it warmer, but the temperature was CoVid controlled they said. The pizza was ice cold as soon as I brought it to the table!
The prices are great as the food quality and the service.I always get the 2 halfs - fuji apple chicken salada and turkey/avocado/bacon sandwich and theyre great. They have good bakery with great deserts and sweets options. They take credit cards. It is in a good location. The bathroom was clean. It has a nice decoration.
Panera food is always fresh and nice! If youre looking for a freshly made sandwich with some soup or a salad, you should definitely eat here. Their bread is amazing, so if they ask what you want on the side, you should go with bread lol. They have great chocolate chip cookies as well. This place in particular is pretty quick moving too in comparison to other Paneras. Can get crowded during meal times though.
A Panera Bread employee by the name of Marcela provides horrible customer service. She usually works in the morning, and she was so rude to my me in front of my children. She is a young lady with glass and wears here hair in a bun. Panera Bread should not have employees like her working there. Hopefully Marcela is her name and not the name of another employee that she was using the register under.
This location is usually really crowded most of the day. But theres ample parking and plenty of tables and chairs. Theres parking behind, with a back entrance too.*Handicap accessibility is good. Theres always people coming in and out so there usually is someone there to hold the door open. The thershold is not high either, so it is not difficult if youre using a wheelchair.
I am at this place all the time and its Presidents Day and everyone is off so its busy. I ordered the steak arugala pick 2 with no red onions because I am allergic to them and spicy mustard on the side and veg soup. I got my vegetable soup and it was cold with ice in it so the soup is not fresh and my half sandwich comes out covered in onions with no mustard. I ask for spicy mustard the woman dismisses me and says there is packets by the drinks and I say its yellow mustard she strikes back and says we will give you some spicy mustard but its the same thing. Spicy mustard and yellow mustard are not the same but I wasnt arguing so I sat down and went to eat my sandwich and see the onions. I go back up and see the mananger helping to get them out of the weeds and I tell him what happens he dismisses me and yells for them to make me a new one after 10 minutes I get the sandwich and by then the soup was inedible. The food is good but for $15 I got cold soup that wasnt really good a sandwich that was 2 bites and an attitude. I wont be visiting again.
I just wanted to write to tell you how my experience went. DISGUSTING. GENERAL MANAGER CHRIS, NOT ONLY DID HE HANG UP 2 TIMES. Apparently the driver came to our building complex and delivered to the wrong apartment. Unfortunately Chris did not listen nor did he believe us. Things escalated quite a bit and he just didnt want to hear. He claimed that someone signed but it wasnt us. I mean its kind of ridiculous over 21$ Im not trying to make a fuss about it but me and my wife will never order again from there nor any other Panera
I love that this location because it offers job or job training for disables. Everytime I visit East Medow location I come a cross kids with disability from my neighborhood and makes me happy to see them in our society.keep it going, will be visiting this location only.
This food is horrible . second time coming here and both times have not been happy . today I got myself a half sandwich and the meat was raw and the whole sandwich taste like cleaning supplies . I saw one of the workers cleaning the toaster oven this is to heat up the sandwiches and then saw another employee put my sandwich to toast . its disgusting . NO ONE SHOULD COME HERE

2022-05-08Go to place for eat and work! They make sure place is clean and promptly refills the coffee and warn water. But there’s always confusion for where to take the coffee cup.

2022-03-28Extremely disappointed by apathetic service counter personnel and as well a manager that has no regard for understanding a poor client experience. We were given a buzzer to wait for our food. The buzzer never went off and instead when we noticed Time had passed. We went up to the counter we were told they called a name. We have no way to even hear our name as we are sitting waiting for the buzzer to go off. When we went to the manager explained that now our food was cold and we were on a short lunch break all she said was what do you want me to do. If If I have to explain to a manager what she should do then she should not have the job

2022-05-06Been going here for years and it never fails to disappoint. They could however, give larger portion sizes.. often I am often still hungry after a meal. The amount of meat they put on sandwiches and paninis is rather small so I sometimes pay for extra. Regardless of this, I still love the placeMy favorites:Apple SaladPanini’sRoast Beef SandwichBear ClawChocolate Croissant

2022-04-06I have to agree with the recent reviews regarding the east meadows store manager. We have been going to this location for years since we did not like the Broadway mall café and never had any issues until the store manager changed recently. All orders are messed up, the order is never ready for pickup or placed on the rapid pickup rake and when you ask them the staff is rude. So I finally decided to talk to the manager and it turns out the manager is even more rude than the staff. I even reached out to Panera and they dont care either. We now go to the Hicksville location in the Broadway mall. Surprisingly the Broadway mall Panera location services has improved greatly.

2021-12-28Very poor customer service. They are clicking order ready before it is to make there efficiency look better to upper management. I placed a mobile order which was not ready when they said it was. Then when I got it home it was missing an item. I called the store and they said they would deliver it. Then they credited the account after they hung up and Said they dont have delivery people available.

2022-01-02Food was pricey but good. Not a fan of Marcella she needs to act like professional and not air out her grievances about her working conditions to other employees within customers earshot. I could clearly tell the girl whom she was talking with was not happy with it

2022-02-19Always loved Panara Bread, just wish they would do the heavy cleaning after the restaurant closes. instead they are pulling stuff away from the wall and cleaning behind them. That should be done when restaurant closes.

2019-06-27I have been ordering from this location for some time now, and my wife and I typically stop in at least twice a week, but going forward will go to the Hicksville location instead. We both ordered a soup and salad combo. Hers was fine and my soup was great, but the half-Greek salad was really a half a third salad (see photos). It was not what I receive when Ive ordered online over the last 6 months. I then got in my car, drove to the location, explained the situation and showed the manager Oscar the salad. He looked at me and told me that the way I was receiving it prior was incorrect, that the workers were measuring with their hands, not the scale, and what I what I received was the correct amount. He said he was sorry I wasnt happy and that if I like he can add some romaine to it. Highly subpar. Romaine? Really? I was hoping to get a new portion altogether but instead what I got was a manager putting the blame on his workers.Perhaps two stars is a bit harsh considering weve always had good service at this location. So this review is entirely based on the managers unsympathetic response to a steady customer who frequents this establishment as often as we do.Will avoid this location entirely.

2019-03-15Ive been coming to this Panera Bread for years, and I have not had any major issues. When its busy, it gets crowded and not a lot of seating, especially if a single person is taking up a whole booth where that could be used for 2 or more people. Personally, there should be more booths or more comfortable seating where they can sit more people, but have that comfort aspect of sitting in a booth. Overall, food is great as always, drinks are great too, but when busy.. see if you can bear it, order in instead, or go to a different panera bread location.
