Panera Bread in other cities:
Panera Bread is open now for indoor dining. This is a great place to get a breakfast sandwich or lunch. The food is served quickly usually within 5-10 minutes. There are plenty of tables and seating. The space is always clean. Staff are helpful and polite. I would recommend this place.
The most inconsistent Panera in my experience. Could be due to supply chain issues, or short staffing, but this location is always out of something. Whether it be the right bread, or a side, if youre coming here, make sure to check the app before you decide, as this location might not have all the options available for your food. The food is alright and standard Panera. Dining room is sometimes closed and only open to Drive-Thru.
Dude, dont come here after 9 apparently they close at 10 so they run out of stuff by 9. I got a Caesar salad with no romaine lettuce in it Amazing not so much... I didnt get a baguet piece or any bread because theyre all out... why cook more right?? I mean we close in an hour. Not to happy with my $42 purchase of leftovers.
I have a coffee subscription so that I can save money on my every morning coffee. However, this cafe is never open in the morning. I inevitably have to purchase my coffee elsewhere. You should really consider at the very least offering coffee only in the drive thru from 7-9am. I fully understand the state of employment right now. But please just allow us coffee club members the courtesy of being able to use it on our way into work.
Even though the food is a bit pricy, this location is my favorite. The staff are always super friendly and patient when my indecisiveness kicks in and I cant decide between being healthy and choosing the apple or being happy and choosing the bread to go along side the always creamy mac and cheese.
I like Paneras food, but this location is very bad. They are very clearly understaffed. We went through the drive through and despite there being a whole line of people ahead of us, were told they were closing early. The employee said she thought they had put the cones out, but they hadnt. The lights to the menu were still illuminated as well, so there were no signs they had decided to close. She stopped answering when we attempted to tell her we were stuck in the line now that more people were behind us. Instead, we had to get out of our car and tell the people behind us that they also had to back out so the whole line of us could leave.
I used to love Panera Bread but their portions have gone way down hill. I had a Caprese sandwich that was so small and hardly had anything on it. Another time I had the turkey club and there were 2 very small strips of bacon on it and it wasnt very tasty. I have not returned since!
This place confirmed hours but aren’t open til 12. The door says drive thru is open yet is coned off. So clearly that’s not open either. Adjust your hours so people don’t drive out for this. You’ve lost business in the future not only from myself but the 3 other people who were trying to go in. I understand staffing is an issue but properly communicate accurate details on what’s available
I pre-ordered the food online an hour before I went there. When I got there, my order was not prepared, I had to ask for it and waited for another 30 minutes. People who walked in the store and ordered the food at the counter had got their food earlier than me. What is the point of having online order system and totally ignoring those orders? Complained about it through the customer service and got a canned response email. My day was perfectly ruined by this. Bravo Panera bread!
Usually I love going to Panera in Ithaca. This time I went threw the drive thru. The woman taking the order never asked if I was a panera member. Never asked if I would like a side with my pick.2 I got no side and a receipt was not include in my bag. I felt as if maybe she was very rushed and if I requested items I would be holding her up.
I use to love coming to Panera. It was a sweet spot that you could get great food in a clean environment with great service. Unfortunately over the past few months I have noticed a dramatic decline. Food is left out of an order, it takes 15mins for someone in the front to notice that you have been standing there waiting to order, the dinning is messy and the staff are very loud with personal conversations going on that all dinners have to hear. I have tried coming back about 4 times at different times of the day but unfortunately each time there is a similar experience.Unfortunately this will be the last time I come to dine or use the drive through until there are changes.
Its too bad it was a Starbucks that came to Cortland and not Panera. On second thought, maybe its for the best. God id weigh 30 lbs more. We all love it, me and the girls and if there wasnt all that Fin construction every which-freakin way around Ithaca ida been out there twice as much this summer. Good news, the chicken sandwiches rock, the cheddar-broc will loosen your belt, the bread will bring butter back, baby, and the cinnamon bun? Well, id better not say. Google is a family type endeavor. Oh, other good news: Ive revisited places on those alternate routes I havent seen since the days I did things that make me forget places!
The service at this location was great. The food was done fast and everything was clean. My issues were more with the food which I know isnt controlled by the specific location. The signature hot chocolate just tasted like powder in water, nothing special. I got a breakfast wrap, but there was like 1 scrambled egg and 1 piece of bacon that was overshadowed by the giant wrap
There always going above and beyond for the delivery . The oatmeal is great with a good texture and not to sweet but sweet enough . The yogurt is really good and the topping that goes with it pairs with it perfectly. The coffees always come perfect and looking nice and pretty . The sandwich was very cheesy but it made the sandwich whole and the soup and baguette that came with it helped fill me up . All together there food is really good and they try there best everytime so you have a good experience.
We have now ordered from here several times. They will send the wrong soup or salad or bagel, then claim they were out and had no way of contacting us (even though their website takes our address and phone). If you ask for a refund, they deny you. If you ask for what you ordered, they deny you. If they dont have what you ordered, they just swap whatever they feel like. Typically I dont enjoy ordering from places when its a gamble as to whether the money you spend will actually get you what you ordered. When we call, they just blame corporate and say they dont have the capacity to fix anything. Worth noting if you were considering ordering delivery from this location.
High priced, over-rated, small portions and mess up most of the time on your orders! i have never in my life seen a place so greedy. they charge you for anything additional. they never cut you any slack, instead of being kind and generous, they nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING. god forbid i get ONE extra pump of caramel but for 69 cents. one star from me! not going there again. try giving people a break sometimes, Panera!
I ordered food inside at one of the self checkouts. It was to go and waited over 25 minutes before I asked someone if my food was ready. It was sitting on the counter. They never told me it was ready. They gave me no apology and just handed me my food and walked away. I won’t go back.
Im very impressed! I ordered a sandwich at the drive thru and the young lady at the window was very sweet and so thoughtful. She must have noticed my little boy in the back and added a cookie to the bag for him. I appreciate her kindness and will definitely eat here again.
Love that I could hear my steak and arugula sandwich, simply delicious!!! My autumn squash soup was missing its pumpkin seeds, sad. Please put lots! Table side service is very appealing. So friendly and its great the manager came to check on the food. Will visit Ithaca again!!
NEVER ORDER!!!! delivery from this Panera. They will take 3 hours to deliver a meal that should realistically take 40-45mins to come. I was able to view where my driver was driving and watched him go to the opposite part of town before coming to my home. Food was cold when arrived.
Terrible experience. Careless personal.Got in at 7:45pm. 7 people. 3 ordered food at one of the self ordering panels. 4 people were ordering at another. 3 people got their order. Partially mixed up. 4 people were placing order and were at the point to insert credit card. Then employee came by at 8:01pm and said you cant place order. We closed processing at 8PM. I asked what should we do? Half of people got their order. Manager came by and said sorry nothing he can do.. That was my experience.
A lot things have change in Panera and sadly not for the better. Not only they have been quietly changing the menu, portion size, ingredients and even those delicious bakery goods.I went there today and I had another bad experience. I ordered online for a rapid-pick up. My greek salad didnt have any dressing, the chicken was super unseasoned and it didnt even tasted like a great salad anymore. The sandwiches that my peers order were also wrong, they described as a totally different recipe.I feel that the quality has been deteriorating slowly since two years ago, which is around the same time that dunkin donuts bought the franchise. Now not even customer service has a contacting line that actually works. I tried their Your feedback is important to us link and it sends you to a supposedly customer care center that does not take complaints. Instead is a pre-set of Q&A section of Panera. Im totally disappointed, to the point this is probably my last visit.
I eat at Panera several times a week. There have been a few changes @ the Ithaca location. Updated kiosks which arent as user friendly, New trackers/buzzers, which are annoyingly loud and you have to pick up your food which requires carrying your purse around after you have found a seat. Employees are very nice, restaurant pretty clean. Cookies are 99 cents with meal, which is great. Maybe do some type of discount with other sweets when you purchase a meal. Good job with food choices.
Food was very good. Drive thru service VERY slow. I was there yesterday when it was not busy. One car in front of me and one car behind me...three cars total including myself in the drive thru. I had to wait 5-8 minutes in the drive thru, before anyone took the payment from, & gave the car in front of me their food. When I drove up to the drive thru window it was another minute or two wait before I received my food. I spent 6-9minutes in their drive thru. If I was a secret shopper, they would have recieved a poor score. Being a former Asst. General Manager of a fast food restaurant, the max. drive thru wait time should be no more then 1 minute. 6-9 minutes drive thru wait time is unacceptable.
Was most likely the worst Panera experience ever! They had no ham, and no steak for sandwiches to start off. We changed our order to soup, 2 of us had broccoli cheese and 1 had French onion. After a 25 minute wait for our food the broccoli cheese came and was ice cold. We asked to have it reheated and it was taken and returned about 5 minutes later , STILL ICE COLD! I felt bad for the poor kid who had to deliver the cold soup back to us and we assured him we knew it was not his fault. I also had COLD hot chocolate and at that point just wanted to talk to a manager and leave. The manager did apologize but really how hard is it to heat up soup and hot chocolate in the microwave. We regularly go to Panera, but I will rethink going to the one in Ithaca!
The food is good quality. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The Panera Bread employees are friendly. And I get good internet access. This has turned out to be my favorite place to eat on my own as it allows for me to get my paper and internet work done while eating. Because of all of this, I find the price of the food worth it.
Panera as a company has great food! This location does carry that, but their service is what earned them such a low rating. Consistently they screw up orders, both mine and those around me. And those people are not ordering anything difficult, they just regularly screw up the order or dont pay attention as theyre filling it. This has happened a few times, and so I would suggest being very careful about how you place your order. Even if you just order straight off the menu you will get a baguette if you ordered an apple or an apple if you order a baguette. Or Ive seen a few times where they have lost peoples orders completely. Which is strange because they have a computer system to fill them.
Just encountered the most unpleasant employee named Gloria(?). Practically slamming things and punching the screen to take our order... she didn’t even look at us while we ordered our food and seemed like we were bothering her lol... hope her day gets better because that was nearly enough to drive us away
Slow. Very little stock and employees with their shoes off sitting sprawled out on the booths. Unprofessional and just not an inviting atmosphere. Also the coffee was cold in their dispenser. All other panera breads in this region are a 5 plus star establishment. This one however is horrible
I was disappointed in my experience at Panera. I ordered a bagel and a pecan twist Danish. The cream cheese chive and onion topping for the bagel was not homemade but came in a cup. This is okay. But the Danish was dry and probably was a day or two old. I often order this Danish, and in the past it has been fresher.
DO NOT GO HERE ! You will be disappointed. This is my last visit. My order was messed up last time but edible. This time drive thru gave someone elses order. 15 miles later I arrive home and find a soggy grilled cheese panini. This bag included that customers receipt with their VISA card number on it, too ! I wont be fooled again. When I called to complain manager says I have to drive back to get my money refunded. POOR SERVICE at top prices.
Was in a hurry got a refill on a coffee was never given a credit for having my own cup. Total was $2.04 only had $2 on me so had to charge .4 cents to my card what happened to a couple cents as a courtesy maybe if there was a deal for having your own cup any rate wont be going there for coffee again
Our order was wrong and was missing several items, the food was cold, and the manager was rude and unhelpful. I ordered a chicken sandwich and got a turkey sandwich instead. Since we were also missing half our order, we drove back, I explained the mistake, and the manager pawed through my food and handed it back to me, saying that the deli meat on it was smoked pulled chicken. It was obviously sliced deli meat. It was the saltiest, most disgusting sandwich Ive ever not eaten. I cant even give it to my dog, its so salty. The guy at the register was nice and tried to be helpful. It was also WAY overpriced, and thats the first time Ive ever said that after using a gift card. We wont be back. Ithaca Bakery is way better, faster, and less expensive, with better ingredients. No brainer.
I like panera first off. Theyre decent however sometimes the bread is really chewy which isint to my personal taste. You pay over $20 for something this small? Overpriced and quite frankly not very filling for the price you pay. Might I also add, that for the 2nd time in a row they forgot to add bacon to my order. ITS IN THE NAME! BACON TURKEY BRAVO. I just cant comprehend how they could forget the one ingredient thats in the name. Why would I spent over $20 for this each time when I could instead go somewhere else.
Attempted to call in a catering order that would have been for the following day. Called at 9:16 AM for pick up the following day at 11:30 AM. Not a particular positive greeting on the phone and ultimately was told that it was kind of busy, right now and that I should try and call back at 1. Disappointed in the lack of service. Ordered at a different establishment.
Standard panera bread experience expected of corporate chain, consistent quality not particularly good or bad. soups and breadbowls plus pick two deals are decent economic options for the variety. I love when we get panera bread catered for events, sandwiches usually taste better than those of CTB, if less creative.

2022-06-29The food is good, although they are usually out of a few ingredients and can be very short-staffed sometimes.

2021-12-28This is how they “slice bagels in half” lol. Half of the dozen bagels come this way while the other ones have a very thin top/bottom part. Very poor quality control... I mean, please just don’t slice at all if you are going to randomly chop my bagels.... This is about careless food preparation and quality control, though the taste and customer service is still wonderful - the season I give 3 stars.

2022-01-18I almost broke a tooth on this fragment in my sandwich at the Ithaca Panera. I reached out to Panera customer support 8 days ago, still not so much as a “sorry” or attempt at a make-good. Well, I’m (not) sorry I won’t be coming back to any Panera restaurant!

2022-02-05The food always taste fresh and great when I visit. They understand and take your orders seriously too. Its like a fancy fast food restaurant. The lines arent always too long and the cashiers are quick to getting your order ready.

2022-07-10Love the staff at our Panera!Has everyone noticed that if you get the Flatbread with your You Pick Two, you can just about feed your whole family? I thought it was a mistake the first time. Too bad the Flatbread isnt that great (Ive only had the margarita one). Love that they post the calories on the pastries. Whoa! Steering clear of those cookies! Can always find a healthy meal here. Wish they were open longer hours.

2022-05-16Every time i come here there is a 20 minute plus wait in the drive thru before you even pay for your food. Constantly out of products and once you figure that out you get stuck on the never ending drive thru. Staff is rude and not accommodating in the least bit. Wish I could say this a rare occurrence but it’s constant.
