I honestly don’t understand what’s going on at this Panera bread, but I would not recommend any one coming here. Today I witnessed about three homeless people inside the cafe. My mother and I were enjoying our meal and a homeless man came and sat across from us staring. He then begged and asked if I could buy him food and give him money to go home. I spoke to one of the workers and they said they allow those same homeless people to enter the cafe on a daily basis even though it is not allowed. This made me feel very uncomfortable. This is a health concern and safety issue that should not be allowed at Panera bread.
Service is the PitsI placed a simple order of a pick 2 - sandwich and salad. I wound up waiting about 30 minutes but in the meantime at the queue line, they dont notify any to go orders their order is ready. I saw a bag being placed on the table and a girl who was there before me picked it up after peeking in and talking to the staff. She went off, came back and asked for a bag of chips instead of bread. 5 minutes she comes back and places the bag back on the table (btw, the bag of chips she asked for is gone, so she gets 2 free sides I guess when her actual order is ready). At that point I realize she must have picked up my order but wth, why didnt the staff check her receipt or name? There was no call out of names when they placed it in the first place. I told the staff someone walked off with my bag and why didnt anyone check- all I got was an embarrassed smile. Thanks for nothing????I havent come to Panera Bread in a long time - over 3 years - due to overpriced food and lousy service but this was even worst than usual. Regardless, I will never come back to this place ever again.
My curbside order took a long time after it said it was ready. So my husband went inside to get it. There was a customer starting trouble in the store so We figured out why it took long. But even then my latte was not prepared so we left without it. I was pretty disappointed. My teriyaki chicken bowl was drenched in sauce and Ive never had it like that before. Usually its perfect.
The whole chain has gone down in quality and quantity over the last two years everywhere. Portions have become ridiculously sparse of main ingredients and on-line order asks for tips ahead of time, before you have had a chance to evaluate the service and quality.This picture is typical for a mozzarella flatbread PLUS gouda. Went in to grab 2 orders of their Mac and cheese. I was told they were out and only had the broccoli & Mac and cheese, which was recommended by the cashier. I was very disappointed. It had the consistency of a soup, very watery. Not filling at all. If you like broccoli and cheddar soup you’ll like it. I’m not a fan.
I placed a catering order for this location around a month in advance of my wedding which totaled over $270 (including the delivery fees + a decent tip). I ordered food for 15 individuals to be delivered to my home so we could have something to eat while getting ready for the wedding. I received a confirmation email from Panera the day before so I felt that we were all set & ready to go.The order was set to be delivered between 11:00 AM-11:15 AM. By 12:00 PM, there was still no food delivered and we began to worry that it was never coming. We had to leave the house to head to the ceremony by 2:00 PM so we did not have a lot of time to eat lunch and finish getting ready. I was highly embarrassed since I had promised the bridal party that I ordered a SUFFICIENT amount of food for us to eat.My maid of honor tried to contact the Nanuet store multiple times, and no one even bothered to pick up the phone. We eventually were able to get in touch with corporate who initially (& insultingly) offered only two $10 rewards to make up for the aggravation. They promised that they would contact the store and try to deliver the food by 12:30 PM. Once again, we were understanding, but emphasized that we needed to leave our home soon to head to the ceremony.By 12:50 PM, there was still no food delivered and the Nanuet location still didn’t answer their phone despite numerous calls. We were forced to contact corporate, once again, to cancel the order. Sadly, we were now hungry & without food. Thankfully, we contacted another local restaurant that was able to prepare food for us to eat at the last minute.By 1:20 PM, a Panera employee finally came to deliver the food at our home (over two hours late), but we had to refuse the order & explain that we already ordered food from somewhere else.Thankfully, the rest of the wedding day went off perfectly but please be careful placing catering orders from this location and don’t assume that a confirmation email guarantees delivery/order completion.
Absolutely horrible the last couple months. Most Panera restaurants are great but this one is ridiculously understaffed and should be shut down. No soap in the men’s or women’s bathroom, guess the cooks can’t wash their hands after using the toilet. Told employee and she couldn’t care less.Waited 30 mins for curbside with no one answering the phone. Finally went inside and had to cut in front of the long line just for the employee to say they are short staffed and told me to “just wait.” Food is dried out and not typical Panera quality.
First time being at this panera bread! it is a bigger panera and very pretty. There was a line when we got in, but moved quickly as there were 2 registers open. I ordered The autumn Squash soup and the bacon turkey sandwich with avacado. Both were good. Only thing is i had the you pick 2, and they forgot to ask if i wanted an apple. Its all good tho. Ordered a strawberry smoothie which was delicous, had to ask for it tho. Its okay because maybe they have an issue with theft. Only complaint was some tables were dirty with crumbs on it.
Highly highly don’t recommend. Staff was super unprofessional. I ordered a bread bowl and after patiently waiting 45 minutes I decided to get my money back. The Manager Sean told me that maybe I don’t understand because I don’t work in the industry. Maybe he shouldn’t assume anything about me and he should advise that they’re backed up and that there would be a longer than normal wait. I’m fine with waiting for food I’m not fine with being disrespected.Panera lost a customer for good. BYE
Order sandwiches soup and pizza , and paid for reliever with tip. sandwiches were missing so I called the store . I must say there are really stupid people working here including the manager who hung up on me . Called the corporate office and got my refund and got 2 free sandwich. I will never order anything from Panera Nanuet. Hello Panera NJ.
Not a bad place as long as you go when someone who cares about doing the job right is on duty. I have gotten both my order where things where obviously half done or never done right, such as drinks consisting of water and creamer and no actual drink or salads missing whole ingredients. When they get it right through the food is good.
Well if youre expecting curbside pick up dont. They offer if but for some reason dont actually bring your order out to your car even after you check in and let them know youre there. You will wait and wait. Eventually having to going and get it yourself. I dont really understand why they off curbside pick up if they dont do it. Anyway the food is always fine. Service not so much. Staff usually looks bewildered.
I have been coming to Panera Bread at this location for close to 10 years. Today they lost my business.The prices are way too high. $15 for a large coffee and a small salad. Crazy!The portions are very inconsistent as well. I got a grain bowl with chicken today and there was 2 small pieces of chicken in it. I paid an extra $2.50 for some 0.1 oz of chicken scraps?They also stopped letting you refill your coffee cups. This just comes off as cheap. I used to sit there all day and order 3 meals working on my lap top. Now I limit myself to one meal.This location must be going under business wise. Today the cashier messed my order up and instead of just giving me the correct order they actually brought me over to the front to refund me $8 and charge me $11 for the correct order. YES they really had to scrap an extra $3 out of me.No big deal. So then the call me for the correct order and they put extra tomatoes on it when I specified no tomatoes ON the original order and corrected order.I expressed my discontent and the assistant manager looks at me and says YOU didnt tell me that and doesnt offer to remake it. Just tells me to pick them out. If youre gonna charge $15 for a handful of overpriced hospital food at least dont screw up the order or give good customer service. Geeze.Panera in Nanuet, you just lost my $1,500 in business per year for $3.00. Congrats. The old management was great, now it seems they are trying to give people less portions and charge people as much as possible to increase their gross profit margins. People are catching on and this business strategy doesnt work. The value just isnt there anymore.Overall the biggest pet peeves here are the high price, inconsistent portion sizes and inconsistent quality of food, no refills on coffee (they mask it as a health concern but even before covid Id hear management discuss the coffee bandit pandemic), when they mess up your order they make you go through this annoying process of refunding your card and getting their extra couple of bucks back from you. Telling a customer you didnt tell me that after you messed up their order already is not a good strategy to maintain valued customers.Lastly not but not required but when you mess up an order just leave it with the person. Dont throw it in the trash. Its incredibly wasteful. Its not like youre going to re use the ingredients. Or hopefully they arent.Theres a Starbucks in the same plaza that has better coffee and just as good breakfast wraps for half the price and headache.
This time this panera location did not do well. We placed orser online to pick up in the store in 15 min (per panera email) we came to the store and waited another 20 min before our order was served. Kids started to eat it few minutes later while we were on the road just to find out that from our two orders of pick two slads were good but sandwiches were not the ones we have ordered. Since we were on the road we did not come back. This is the first time it happened to us.I am dissapointed with the lenght of the time it took to prepare our order and inacuracy of the order.
ZERO STARS is more like it. Placed a future order online for rapid pickup. Order was for 6:00pm. 40 MINUTES later was told my order was being prepared now after being told my order only needed 5 more minutes When I told them to cancel my order, there was no remorse or validation. Dont waste your time. There are several places to eat in the area. Last time eating/ordering from this Panera Bread
I love the pick 2 options of the menu. We are aware that fast food and restaurants in U.S. serves more than the recommended serving per average for an adult. The pick 2 options allows me to have an appropriate portion of soup and sandwich, honestly the combination of choices are endless. Food taste great, keep in mind you can make some adjustments to make your meal more like what you want. Give it a try
Ordered pick two and a separate sandwich for pick up. Got the pick two, but when I opened the sandwich it was only half with none of the add ons. Drove back to get the full sandwich and they made half again, had to wait 20 minutes for them to make the other half but they ran out of the same bread and had to make it with something else. Never ordering pick up form this place again .
Most Panera Bread locations Ive been to have been fabulous. This one? Not so much. There, obviously, werent enough people working. And the few who were working were slow to help. There are, also, no kiosks for ordering at this location. They messed up our order, as well. Definitely wont be returning to this location.
Ive been to a lot of Paneras. This one was chaotic. The back prep area looked like a disaster zone. We waited over half an hour for our order to show up. We were told theyd be ready in 5 min. 20 minutes of waiting and no order, we asked the manager. Yet another 10 minutes later, the food shows up. 30 minutes for two salads. Ive never had this poor of a customer experience at any other panera Ive been to. Absurd. It wasnt even especially busy, it was a normal Sunday late afternoon.
Waited over an hour to receive my curbside pickup after they gave away our order to someone else. They came to our car 3 times to get the last name of our order and never returned back. We had to go inside for them to remake our order and pick it up ourselves. The lady at the pickup counter shooed me away when I tried to ask her about my order.
I ordered rapid pick up at this location and they told me it would take 5 to 10 minutes I sat there for 40 minutes waiting and then they were out of things that I had ordered they are the slowest workers I have ever seen . My order sat behind the counter for 10 mins and when I finally asked they said oh I just have to make the smoothie and started after I asked
It used to be better. The food is great, just wish the workers cared more about cleanliness. The tables are often dirty and sticky. The people who make the food wear gloves but touch their hair and clothes and other surfaces. Went in one time in the summer and there were flies all over the quiches and pastries. The worker just shooed them away and served one, I walked out.
Typical Panera,.coffee is good but like warm. Service leads a lot to be desired.. We ordered w mugs of coffee and a Caeser salad to share. Order taker could not understand we want to share a salad..we asked for 2 forks. When one of the servers came past we asked him for 2 forks. The salad came with 1 fork. Whhen I asked for a second fork the guy say. Q salad 1 fork. Never again. Find some place else to eat
I think a lot of people love to give negative feedback however I found (as an overseas visitor) that each and every time I visited this particular Panera Bread (Nanuet) the staff were always very friendly and super helpful. The restaurant always looked clean and tidy. Plus they would do little things that set them apart from other restaurants like offering fast efficient service and the food was amazing every time!!
I can never go back, because the service keeps getting worse. If, you get friendly staff than it makes the visit memorable while the cold and unfriendly staff makes this place terrible. Additionally, the store has very high turnover and is very shortstaffed so my past rapid pick up orders were never ready on time and I had to wait additional 15-20 minutes to get my order corrected since, I had to wait for the one cashier that was handling the long line to be free to get my order ready since there is only one person, working the front. This has made, ordering at this store, a complete nightmare since so much time is wasted to get my order prepared even though I ordered the item over 20 minutes ago. I kept supporting the place until this moment because, this restaurant used to have an amazing staff that made this place, very welcoming and the food was always delicious. Unfortunately, the high turnover has made this place just a revolving door for young students that dont really want to work and it shows in their unfriendly demeanor towards guests and the food that is prepared wrong or not prepared properly at all. I kept getting disappointed with each visit that, I finally had enough because each year, this place is getting worse and it looks like management needs an overhaul because, they should be training and hiring associates that actuallly, encourage people to come back, instead of disappointing them with lackluster service.
I love Panera, never coming back to this location. Rude service, they gave me lukewarm soup and then glared as if I was inconveniencing them when I raised this, sold stale cookies, etc. perhaps was just a one off, but these employees certainly did not meet the standard (or basic) expectations.
Every time I come here they always screwup my husbands order. We tell them exactly what we wanted. We asked for a baguette bread and we got white slice bread; we asked for no lettuce and they they were there, we asked for a cold sandwich and they made it hot. The staff seems to be new every time we come to this location, they are short staff very slow. They need to invest in those self check in kiosk.
As multiple locations of the Panera Bread go this one seems by far the worst one Ive visited in a long time.Decided to stop by for a quick lunch on my way to Rhode Island. The staff was nice but it seems understaffed for the amount of traffic this place generates even though it doesnt generate much around 11am. The food is the same solid fare you find at other locations but:Self order kiosks are nowhere to be found. Table service available in other locations doesnt seem to exist. Descriptions of the menu items usually available on the menu dont seem to be there. So the order numbers are given with the plastic card which needs to be placed in a metal holder on the table for someone to notice (if they were to bring the food to the table)Cmon people this place is way behind the times here. Get with the program.
If I can give them 0 stars I would. They just simply dont care about service. Soup came out cold as ice and I had to get up and get it myself because they were having a party in the back and not paying attention. Mac and Cheese plate was very dirty and disgusting. I dont know why anyone gives this place their money. It is so dirty I dont even trust them with my food and being clean anymore.
They usually tend to mess up my order but its good cause my food tends to taste different every time. there was one time where they didnt give me enough soup which was upsetting but i guess i shouldve told a manager about that , otherwise its a good place to eat and study
Ok so they are always EXTREMELY slow and every time I do a rapid order pick up it’s never ready. But they gave me a free drink so I put a extra star lol and they are usually friendly but just slowSUPER SLOW, the employees and manger move like sloths....the manger, Sean is really sarcastic, it’s annoying
The way to get the food was awful. then to make matters worse I have to order two soups but they charged me for three soups. and as if it couldnt get any better once I brought the soups home they were only half full I order bulbs but they get they gave me cup portions. And to top it off the bag they gave me was so small that when I was bringing it into the house the back fell apart thank you Panera I will never go back there again and I will tell everybody and anybody I know not to go there.
Recently placed an order online for Rapid pick-up before heading to VBS (Vacation Bible School). I went in when set ready time was up. My order was not ready. The Employee at the register sent me to the booth where it would be at, it was not there. I waited, Manager came to help, said What I ordered was not avaliable at their site. He offered to substitute what I ordered with another baked good. Added an extra one for the inconvenience. Seems to be that this location is understaffed and could use help.
We like Panerai Bread and visit thier different locations often. Today we decided to go to this location for breakfast. After looking online and finding they served breakfast until 11am on Saturdays we hurried to get there, we arrived at 10 45 am. While we were standing looking at the different breakfast menu posters the girl behind the counter started to remove them right in front of us and said, no more breakfast. We pointed out that the sing said breakfast served until 11am and it was only 10:45 her reply was, they have to cook 6 eggs at a time which isnt worth it for 2 people. Let me point out that it wasnt only what she said, its how she said it, she was rude and condescending in her tone towards us. As a result we left without purchasing anything and went to a nearby diner instead. So as a result of us being not worth it Panerai Bread of Nanuet completely lost a sale and two loyal customers, we will not go back to this particular store ever again.
Went in and was having a bad day, a worker named bayla was so helpful and fun. She honestly really mad my day. She was doing so much cleaning and running the food and honestly everything but she also made time to be super friendly and personable. Don’t really care for soups or salads but I will deff be going back to see bayla at the nanuet Panera Bread!!!
Panera bread is a nice fast food place. But this one doesnt make panera bread look good. Place was dirty and worn out. Couldnt find a table or chairs without crumbs and there were plenty of open tables and chairs. Even some kids were being choosey about which table they chose because, as they said they were dirty. They certainly had enough workers to have someone quickly go around and wipe them off. And the workers werent friendly. There was no water; the water tab gave me a carbonated something...not sure what it was. I wont complain about the food, it seemed fine. But the whole experience doesnt leave me wanting to go back if i can help it. Glad this isnt the only Panera in the world.
I love the food here and my favorite peach and blueberry smoothie....Most of the time I order food from here through ubereats or doordash...I always order spicy Thai chicken salad with my favorite smoothie and it was perfect....but from last 2 days I am coming in here and having my food here itself and my experience was actually not very good...yesterday and today I ord8the same food but I noticed there was very less quantity chicken in my salad which disappointed me....but I love the food so I would love to give an another try....I hope I wont get disappointed next time....
The service is bad ! We went yesterday for an ice tea the line was basically going outside. The cashier was so slow that even talked in slow motion, the manager disappeared when he was attending a costumer. I basically ended ordering a bottle or water because an ice tea would take forever
Went to panera of nanuet and a worker Bayla made me feel so welcomed and she really made sure I was good with everything I needed. She was also cleaning a lot. I honestly saw her more than I saw any other worker working before. Will definitely be coming back because of Bayla and her customer service
I love the broccoli cheddar bread bowl. Went to Panera in nanuet yesterday and I was helped by the nicest young women. I was feeling a little down and i guess it showed. She told me that I was beautiful and that I made her day by sharing my story. But Bayla from Nanuet is the one who made my day. Keep up the good work Panera ✨
During this visit to the Nanuet store I observed Curtis,who I assume is a manager directing the staff on efficiency.I arrived during lunch hour after placing my order i went to the rear of the store for pick up. There was Curtis in the well preparing food orders, I observed sevaral servers approach Curtis for various things ie,where are the napkins.Curtis rather then stopping he directed the staff to the items telling them that they must learn to be self sufficient, and learn the store.Curtis focus was on the customers wait time,he should be commented.
Item names have a whole-crossing line above and another one below, there is a price right between the same lines; so what items do you think that price is for? the items in between those same lines, so did I. Bit it turns out you are wrong and also am I: that price is for the items below the line. It is the most deceptive marketing tactic to push people to buy that Ive ever seen. I walked out and went to Starbucks down the street instead.
I never have a problem with Panera bread in nanuet the lady lea is very nice friendly she one of the bosses there very. Helpful very nice. All of the bosses e very nicw!!!! I would love to tell all my friends to go there. The one lady there is joesy she also very nice very helpful, an all so a nother one is Tiffany.ahe is very nice to an also the guys to all of them work fantastic very nice helpful.i would recommend Panera bread in nanuet to everyone thank u all ur friend Artie
Every time I come into this particular paneras there is an issue 1st of all I went to get a cup of coffee there was no light roast the dark roast was brewed 2 hours ago and it tasted like garbage my food came out ice cold eggs And on top of it when you pay $8 for an egg sandwich because it has a little spinach and avocado on it and a cup of coffee its just insane.
Some ya customer and the mad nastiest people ever ya dont know how to leave a bathroom clean and ya stop coming in after 7 pm like really stay home or order to go if ya gonna come cause like ya wanna right after work we trying to go home but nah we gotta clean after ya after 10 pm and dont leave till 11

2022-05-17I was there for dinner for 3 , ordering was easy - one could order directly with the cashier or with app or with self service kiosk. Cashier Leonard was super helpful in answering all of my queries. even though store was about to close , he helped getting my queries answered with a smile at the end of tiring day.One of the employees Rosa gets lots of kudos to keep store clean and maintain the hygiene. She was constantly working to keep every table clean. Very inspiring.Overall, food is good except the French baguette was extremely hard. We have eaten at this store several time but this time the bread was really hard, something that needed to be looked upon.Overall good experience , would rate about 3.5 as there is room for improvement. I would definitely be coming back here .

2022-03-03So, I placed a delivery through the app at 1:10PM… at 2:15PM and two phone calls later, the order finally shows up, and you guessed, it was not my order.Phone back and when I finally get through Panera blame Door Dash for the mix up. Really can’t understand why it would be the delivery services fault. My colleague ended up picking up the original order at 3:20 which looked like it was thrown together. Quite an irritating experience really. No apology……nothing. What happened to quality service and customer focus?My first-time doing lunch here. Will give it a 10. Tomato soup was delicious-and the chicken and avocado sandwich melt was truly superb. No delays with the order, it said 12:30 pick up….and everything was ready when I arrived. Will do this again.Today, I went to the store and left with my order…..everything was outstanding. I guess the lesson here is to go get it from the store.

2022-02-03Worst experience ever. Ordered curbside and was told my order was ready. I waited for about 10 minutes with my lights flashing. Nobody came out so I went in. Only for it still not to be done and the cashier asked what my name was and could not find the bag. Tha bag was on the counter and she did not see it. My issue was that I ordered curbside to avoid getting out due to having a sick child in my car. Still had to get out of my car and still was not ready after them sending me the ok your order is ready. Nor happy with the service as this is the second time Ive done curbside and has a terrible experience. Panera you can do better or remove the service if you cannot staff at this time.

2022-06-25UNSWEETENED ICED TEA is funky tasting all the time. It’s cloudy and has a funky taste. I’ve been to many Paneras’ and this location is the only one with that problem. Also you never have BLUBBERY MUFFINS. Employee said yiu don’t get them and I was there 7am 7/25 and all week prior. Location in general needs to be updated. Sandwiches were good.

2022-07-03Stopped by Panera Bread for a Chicken Noodle soup. The soup was nice. The only issue is they serve a half a bowl. I am thinking it should be more in the big bowl.

2022-03-28I want thank Zilene at the Nanuet NY store for taking the time to help me on the phone to find a receipt from an order over 3 weeks old. I needed the receipt to submit an expense report for work. Her great customer service went above and beyond normal standards. Not only did she find the receipt but she was extremely sweet and professional. The world would be a better place if there were more caring people like Zilene.

2022-03-21Around 1.30- 2.00 PM time sunday 20mar2022, I had the opportunity to taste thai chicken soup bowl size. $8.99 .soup oddly had 5 small thin pieces of chicken less than 1cm size ,I .talked with sales to resolve the issue . Bluntly put it take the complaint to corporate phone number. Basically panera bread do not care about what they serve you in quality ,quantity or size of the order.Good luck?!Very poor quality or control if any.They know how to collect money only. .by the way $1.50 can of campbell soup has more chicken.

2021-12-10Hit or miss. I have dined in, ordered out, and used a gig food delivery service. The food is either prepared excellent and looks delicious, or looks like it was slapped together in seconds and thrown into a bag. I do love the selections and menu Panera bread offers. And despite the presentation, the food does taste good. I would suggest the staff take the extra minute to make an appealing sandwich, it goes a long way in the eyes of customers, and adds consistency. The staff is friendly and the baked goods are usually fresh and tasty.
