Panera Bread in other cities:
In the past I rated this Panera Bread store 5 stars, today was a total disappointment.I ordered through their app, I wanted a steak and white cheddar sandwich, they posted that one of the ingredients (pickled onion) was not available, soooo I ordered a tuna sandwich on black pepper focaccia bread, when I arrived at home to my surprise they put my tuna on the bread I hate the most and do not eat (white bread), I was NEVER informed of the substitute, I most certainly would have made another choice.A lot of nerve this place has, giving me what they want to give me. Will I purchase from this store again, most likely NOT. HIGHLY HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED 😞
*** Google asked for an updated review, so....Things have improved (2022) and weve been getting our desired breakfast orders at our desired times. So feel free to give them a try and see for yourself if breakfast is all you dreamed. ***Are you going for breakfast? Are you arriving before 9:30am?Bring your own bagels - theres an excellent chance theyll have no bagels available for you.Bring your own souffle - theres an excellent chance theyll have no souffles available for you.Be ready to settle for whatever coffee has not yet run out. Again.I hope find these tips helpful.
Went there today asked for someone to clean the table and I was handed some wet napkins and some dry ones to clean it myself staff was rude wanted and paid for a soda and all that came out was carbonated water they refused to refund me when asked to speak to a manager was told there wasnt one on shift I will never go back I spent 50.00 in lunch and my food wasnt right just a terrible experience there
I have been going to this place for years, it was more a meeting place with family & friends but lately , lately don’t know what’s wrong but the salads are so old & stale& their lettuce looks like it’s from days.Today will be our last day going to this place. All our family & friends feels the same.
Nice person took my order. Food blah as usual. The chipotle chicken sandwich had no chipotle flavor and was lopsided. The French onion soup had no cheese. My croutons were loose floating around in bag. Order took too long. This food is so bland and boring. Boring menu. Stop serving apples and expecting me to cut them with a butter knife. Rug needs to be vacuumed.
So I did an online rapid order for a vegetarian soup (religious reasons), I got home to a non vegetarian soup even though order says creamy tomato online and receipt. Frankly if I could eat it, I would have eaten the soup given by accident because mistakes happen.I politely called the hillside location to explain the situation and ask for a refund. The person who picked up the phone said theres no soup like this at Panera and she made sure the order was correct. When I asked for a refund, manager said to bring everything back as was given to me and my name is written in the book.Oh really? Panera isnt shy at all to charge my card when I did my online order, but now I have to prove myself that Im not lying over a $6 order by going back to the store and making a case ??!!I shoulda checked for myself but I shouldnt have to be quality control at a fully established chain store with full staff and management.Disrespectful staff, poor service.
If no stars was option thats what I would give this location. The white staff is biased to people of other races.Hot speciality coffee are not available, machine not working For breakfast service. I watched the sandwich maker throw the bread etc all over the counter & oven. This location should be closed or new management is desperately needed. The food is not handled with cleanliness. What a horrid disaster.
I ordered two smoothies and Ice coffee. There were no lines of customers and only two orders being prepared including mine. It took more than 10 minutes to get the smoothies. The 2 smoothies (mango and strawberry) were so watery and not icy at all! They literally tasted like baby yogurt with water down. The size of the cup for smoothies were 2/3 size of the large ice coffee. So bad that kids couldnt even finish the half of the cup.
Later in the day and close to closing there is no coffee. An employee told me their manager doesnt allow them to make more coffee after a certain time.Update: I decided to try this location earlier in the day to see if there was a difference. Absolutely not... all the locations that I have been to around the 5 boroughs and long island always just have an empty coffee cup waiting when I arrive after Ive placed an order on the app. I had to ask for a cup and I had placed the order 15 minutes prior. Im not complaining about that because she promptly got me a cup. The issue was that the coffee urns were empty. I was able to get an almost full cup from the decaf. This was in the afternoon around 3pm on a Thursday.
My first time having Panera and more than likely my last. The food was mediocre at best, the soup was good but the sandwich Bacon avocado BLT was bland and not worth the price. I was under the impression that the quality would be better than that of McDonalds and other chain restaurants but that was not the case. I can see the appeal but for someone who is quite capable of preparing meals in the future I will go next door to stop and shop get the ingredients and save myself both inconvenience and money.
Everything goes well at this location I’ve a few issues with one of the cashiers getting my order wrong this manager was the very best at dealing with the issue and keeping me as a customer. I also watched him credit an older couple that always goes there and they left the wallet at home. He is the best manager I ever seen in a food place and I worked at food places before so I have seen enough.
Not a lot of tables -- limited by covid 6 foot social distancing separation of tables, many tables are closed for that reason -- and THE PROBLEM -- booths taken by people who are on their laptops, or studying, etc but they are not eating -- the manager should monitor this -- patrons should eat their food, chat and leave -- but to take a booth and surf the net for extended periods of time, or to be studying AND NOT EATING -- that is not right during this time when many tables are off limits for eating due to social distancing. ALSO -- i have ordered half salads there and they are more like quarter salads -- all bowl and little salad. This location is the poorest of Panera locations that I have frequented over the years.
Delicious soups & salad but the place is filthy.Broccoli Mac and cheese soup (5/5)Staff (3/5): indifferent to dismissive.Cleanliness (0/5) With COVID restrictions, you could count the number of tables available for patrons in one hand, yet the few available are full of crumbs and sticky. I asked if one could be cleaned. After waiting 15 minutes with no luck, cleaned it myself. Nope it wasnt even busy there. Under the table was worse, guess customers are forced to wipe the mess off the table down if staff wont clean. Quite an innovative way to discourage dining in.Would I go back: Will sit this one out for the time being. The food is good, so recommend pickup.Oh and Panera, how about an automatic door. Why the need for two levels of doors with handles. Every single person walking in has to touch those. There is something called COVID going around.
The food is good and the store is clean. Youre safe to eat here. Theres only 1 thing I noticed repeatedly about this store. The people who make your food look very angry most of the time. I understand that these workers are not the people who have point of contact with customers, like the cashiers do, but theyre unapproachable. If you need to ask them a question, you get a mumble under their breath, and a very annoyed reaction. Its quite uncomfortable. A smile goes a long way especially when youre treating someone with respect, appreciation, and kindness.
Nice open restaurant. Staff is friendly, offered to pick up my plate after I finished my dinner. The fuji apple salad was great and fresh. The dressing was not over powering. The kitchen sink cookie had strange sour after taste. The decor was open and inviting with the front wall being a big window.
I went to Panera 3/13/19 at 6pm. The supervisor on duty was SUPERB. He walked around and helped selected customers clear their tables, which I thought was great. The service however, was not. My friend and I meet every week at a different Panera and this one was the most disappointing. Her macaroni was NOT hot, my soup was given to me with the soup dripping all down the sides of the bowl and the bread that comes along with the soup was literally just ripped apart by hand instead of using a bread slicer, it was almost half the size it should have been. The scones were a little to hard. Just horrible presentation. Please do better.
The only thing excellent is their broccoli cheddar soup. The sandwiches are mediocre at the best. They claim to be healthy but still not worth the price you pay. The portion sizes are pathetic for what they charge you! Its an ok place if you want to sit down and chat for a while. Otherwise not an everyday go-to lunch place.
Where to begin.... Placed an order for pickup directly from Paneras website, which claimed that it would be ready in 10 minutes. Received an email confirmation of this as well. When I went to pick it up... the restaurant hadnt even received the order at all. Cool. They then proceeded to make the order (now 20+ minutes past when it was supposed to be ready in 10) and when I had already left (maybe this was on me for not checking the bag first, but should I have to?) they forgot one of the Mac and cheeses that I had paid for. I then had to turn back around to get it, and didnt discover until I got home that they also forgot the overpriced fruit cup that I had added to my order, paid extra for, and instead included bread. A side of bread with my sandwich; bread with bread. Nice. Apparently you dont need to be a genius to work at Panera.
Firstly their curbside pick up is a jokeI was waiting outside for 15mins thinking someone was going to come out and after waiting I had to call them to bring my order outWhen someone came out they casually told me how my order was inside and the person that does curbside pickup leaves at 7.. 🤔 huh . Then. As I’m at the red light I see my order isn’t even all there .. my drink wasn’t in the bag so I had to come back to pick it up .. pls do better !
Overall, it wasnt a very satisfactory experience. The rooms werent that clean but it would do. The food is overpriced, and not very tasty. And It also took a tiny bit too long to assemble a sandwich. I had a lobster roll, which was 18$ and tasted about 10$ too much. The lobster in some places was dry, it tasted a tiny bit fake, and they put too much mayo, trying to mask the flavor of the lobster. At least it came with free chips.
I was an employee here for a short time. The manager adam is super nice and excellent to employees and customers. Dan the supervisor is great and helps out around the location and checks everyone is happy both customer and employee. The food is wonderful and I can attest that there is great care when it is being prepared. Wonderful establishment
Worst order today. I ordered a grilled cheese opened it up it was burnt like they microwaved the cheese and just inserted in the sandwich. They had no avocado for the chipotle avocado chicken so I said no big deal literally gave me a teaspoon of chicken and microwaved bread. Even the Mac and cheese for kids let me repeat FOR KIDS was disgusting. They have fun talking while making stuff so I guess they’re not paying attention but when a woman is there with curly hair I guess she’s the manager they on they toes because I came over on the weekend and the sandwich was not bad. But today my order was disgusting I felt so bad serving this to my child and her friend and alsoMy friend since she wanted the grilled cheese.
The food is good but the wait for it is terrible. I can visually see staff but they are way too busy laughing. I understand it may be a long day but it shouldnt take 15 minutes for a salad that is truly sad. I really hate coming here due to time. Plus its like the staff is in slow motion. They need to get it together!
The fact that I called the store after placing my order on Uber eats to confirm they would give me Mayo on the side for my Turkey blt and extra dressing for my apple Fuji salad and I received neither...... not even a drop of Mayo on my sandwich or one dressing for my salad. I’M STILL CHOKING ON MY DRY LUNCH
Something about this Panera Bread location is not quite as vibrate, as the others, like Mineola, Glen Cove and Brooklyn. The lighting is dimmed lower in a bad way. It doesnt feel as welcoming like other locations. The pastry display looks like a war zone. Their sold out of all the most popular pastries. At least, the pastry area could be clean up and look a little inviting. The macaroons, mini chocolate chip bag, cocoa and cream cookie, cherry brittany and, brownie were sold out. I moved on to drinks. Ordered a drink. Its self serve, tried prickly pear hibiscus, it tasted sour. I know the drink and thats not what it normally taste like. I went for my usual, agave lemonade, it didnt disappoint. As I headed put the door, I recalled something that I observed about this location, they employees are extremely slow. Theres only 3 people on line and their still waiting.
Im a fan of Panera but this one wasnt all good didnt get as much food I would have gotten from a different Panera. The food taste a bit different and tables and chairs were dirty and messy. Floor was slippery and I almost fell with my little one. Hopefully they can fix up the inside to better the place
The worst Panera franchise in the area! This is the nearest to me, but I always try to avoid going in here .... most of the time my experience wasnt good! Either the employees are rude, and standoffish or there is a problem with my order!!! Somehow, this never happens in the other locations I visit, EVER!!
Went for lunch, out of bread for soup. Isnt this a bread place. No seating available, people just sitting forever with a coffee and laptop. Finally got seating, had a bowl of soup seemed like it was only a cup of soup. Big bowl little soup. Will not be back to this location
I gave 5 star in past and brought down to a one.. While food is still good the franchise seems to be going down hill with new owners constantly out of stock of supplies..today no cream cheese till further notice sign says.say what ???and honey mustard.last time no carbonated drinks , out of soups way to many times and not just this location . My hometown location also has same issues..very dissapointed I went from going twice a week to not sure when I go again.. Prices seem to have gone up for less product ..
This is the worse Panera’s Restaurant I’ve ever been. It was my first time in this location and honestly I left very dissatisfied. Most of the tables were dirty, I don’t know if they don’t clean them after the customers eat. I ordered a southwest salad with chicken, and guess what? It came without chicken and looked like my son made it.Very disappointed.
Great food including soups, salads and sandwiches. Its pricier than would be expected but its all organic which leads to that. If you eat inside theyll give you regular utensils and bowls so make sure you ask for containers if you want to take something with you home.
This place gets packed quickly so try to order ahead of time using the app or online. There are no ipad kiosks to place an order instead of waiting on the line. There are a good number of outlets here for laptops. I love their iced green tea and the autumn squash soup. Its definitely worth it to become a panera loyalty member- you get one free pastry every year on your birthday, redeemable for about 3 weeks after your birth date; and once in a while after about 6 visits you receive a reward on your account.
Im a daily old customer of panera for many years and this is the first time that panera food send me to the near by pharmacy to get a Imodium AD. I mean it was that critical. I ordered a Strawberry Poppyseed Salad with Chickenand the blue berries were bad .. Im from Brooklyn and I stopped by this location today because I was in the neighborhood..Sorry for the ratings but my stomach is in pain...
My experience here at this Panera is always a good one. To the amazing food and phenomenal service, I am not surprised I get so much work done as I am feeding myslef food I know I can trust. On top of all that, a very quick shout out to Alexa and Nica for going above and beyond. If anyone ever gets the chance of getting served by them, you will know what I am talking about. But great workers are only accompanied by AMAZING MANAGEMENT! You dont believe me? Go for yourself and go feel welcomed from the moment you step in.
TOTALLY DISGUSTED.....I bought two orders of steak and white cheddar panini - whole. In the past the paninis I ordered were quite good, they were made right. NOW TODAY the same panini was absolutely terrible and disgusting, some genius at Panera Bread decided that replacing the soft flat bread normally used to make panini with a very hard thick powder covered bad tasting bread that cuts up your mouth with very little meat was a good idea ...a very very bad decision. The end all was finding a red hair on my panini, my order was take out, what a wonderful suprise I received when I opened the bag at home....NEVER AGAIN.(I wish this site had a zero star check box)
My wife and I had dinner here: She had a “Lobster Roll” with a bag of chips for $14.99. I picked two, choosing an Asian Sesame Chicken salad and half a Classic Grilled Cheese sandwich for a total of $8 and change. (A piece of bread was included.) The food was very good, except for the grilled cheese, which was...
It okay. A little too expensive for soup in my opinion, and im surprised that they have so few options for soup. How bout lentil? Veggie soup? Minestrone? Maybe clam chowder? Lobster bisque???? After trying the same soups over and over, it gets really boring to eat here, not interested in going back.
Went in like Ive done many times before when I saw the person at counter wipe his mouth w/his hand and then went for my slice. When I stopped him asked him to wash hands. Owner said hes a young boy he dont know, told him wash your hands. Went back to work.He dipped his fingers in water drying fingers on his clothes.Told them keep food and left.
Multiple Employees sitting around at the same time, employees not taking pride in their work, some tables are not cleaned well enough... I always make sure, as a customer to clean after myself including using napkins moistened with clean fountain water to clean the table...

2022-05-30Can’t believe that we decided to come here considering all the wonderful dining options around the area. Big mistake. 2:45pm Memorial Day and the two counter ladies are terrible. Coffee was undrinkable. Had the Chicken signature sandwich which was so dry. Trying to ask the front counter for some type of condiment and utensils and got nothing. Then went to the kitchen cook line to ask. The three of them were to busy talking Spanish to take care of a simple request. Sorry to have bothered their “conversation”. 🤨. Forget about doing your job.The tables are filled with rowdy youngsters. I owned a diner for decades, never would have let my establishment suffer in this way.

2022-07-02The rapid-pick up order came almost ten minutes after I received order-ready email. Then, the broccoli cheddar soup (yuck!) was like dark mustard pudding( see picture). The tuna sandwich barely had tuna and the bread used for sandwich was white hard dry (stale ?) bread. The most disgusting food and the poorest service. Do not go to this New Hyde Park location.

2022-04-22The food is a very fresh alternative to fast food and the selections are robust. I really enjoy the you pick 2 option that enables variety in a single meal. However, its a little on the expensive side for a fast food oriented experience; maybe 17-20 bucks for an adult who likes to eat.

2020-10-09Now this has become my daily routine of walking from home to Panera for my coffee and something taking care of my sweet tooth’s craving by ordering some goodies from bakery as well. The service is ok but i guess that’s a compromise I have to make due to pandemic downturn in staffing and I am kinda use to it after complaining to management few times and no positive outcome.

2022-03-21As you walk in the screens where you can order are disgusting. I could barely get myself to touch them. The prices for things are also outrageous. A small sandwich with eggs and some avocado slices, $6.Saving grace are the pastries which are delicious.

2022-03-14Its average. The tables are not cleaned/ wiped off after a customer has left. Today, after passing by 3 tables that had food residue on it, I finally settled on a table in the corner where I had to wipe a few crumbs off the table before I sat down to eat.The chicken ceasar salad I ordered was drenched with the salad dressing and had very little chicken. To me, this place gives off internet cafe vibes. People were there with the laptops out while others were reading a book. Its just a place for me to grab something quick after grocery shopping since its in the same area.

2022-02-03The people working here are very rude. Especially the girls that work at the cash register. I mean, you signed up for this job. 🤷🏻♂️ But other than that, its just a cozy Panera Bread where you can chill and do your work 👍

2022-01-12Waited in line for 15 minutes to order (I was the only person in line), never even got to. Second cashier walked away despite the long lunch line beginning to form behind me and the first cashier was swamped with a customer placing a huge order then walked away to prepare that order himself! These guys dont have it together AT ALL, never been to a Panera this disorganized. Just go to the pizza place next door and dont waste half your lunch break on these clowns.
