Panera Bread in other cities:
Online order almost always wrong. Usually missing a side item so I typically just let it go. Had an overall negative experience with my most recent order however. It was missing a whole sandwich. I ordered on a Thursday and called right away. The associate couldnt refund same day but will do it first thing in the morning. Gave it a couple days to account for the weekend, no refund. So I went in. No, sorry for the inconvenience, nothing. They seemed like they just wanted to get me out of there. In fact they were in the middle of refunding another customer for missing their items. Disclaimer:This review doesnt reflect my experience with the delivery driver. They were fast and nice. But check your bag before sending the driver away.
I absolutely love Panera. Theyre food is always fresh, flavorful and yummy! This was my dinner and this yummy, fresh salad gave me energy to finish out my very long day. Breakfast was this yummy baked cinnamon scone that I forgot to take a picture of because I ate it. 😊
Now, normally I do not give five stars however this Panera was so good from the time we walked in being greeted by Jay Smooth the manager to the workers serving and preparing the food. My turkey bacon sandwich was right on and my girlfriends flatbread pizza was done just right... This is how a restaurant should be run. Great job Panera!
We like Panera food and the ability to get delivery or curbside. But our order is almost always wrong. Here are our most recent examples. Today, all the chips were missing from our quart soup order (4 bags). Last time when we ordered chips (4 bags), we got 4 baguettes instead. The previous time, the wrapper had the correct label for a blueberry bagel, but there was some sort of egg/cheese croissant sandwich inside. Its kind of frustrating, especially when we usually cant get it fixed. If its an error with a delivery, you have to call and talk to a manager, and they might send you a coupon. But you cant get your order fixed. Same if you do curbside, but dont elect to return to the restaurant. If you do happen to catch the mistake while youre still there, theyll fix it....after you are on the phone several minutes waiting for a human option.
Its Panera so you know the food. Personally Im a fan of the Summer Corn Chowder. The only real difference with Panera is the service, cleanliness, speed of service, etc. This restaurant is clean but beware the stall in the Mens room. We didnt wait long for our order. When it arrived we were missing 2 out of 3 snacks and the chicken we requested taken of the Ceasar salad was still there. Overall not the worst experience but do better next time!
Havent been to Panera in a while. Not a big soup sandwich salad guy. The new chicken melt on chiabatta with avocado is awesome. Kudos to r&d at Panera. Chicken was moist, avocado was fresh and chiabatta was firm, not stale and not a mouth-cutter. At about $10...a little pricey.
I used to be a Panera Bread critic. However, I have recently been navigating a very restrictive diet. The service worker was so knowledgeable about their food, it’s very clean, and you can customize a lot of options, removing ingredients and selecting others, it’s now one of the very few places I can eat out. The way they manage the dine in area during COVID also is reassuring. Top it off with their coffee club! I happened to sign up during a special of 3 months for free! I signed up in January and won’t have to begin paying until April! Last of all but far from least, they have outlets around the dining area for my laptop and phone. That’s a big deal as someone who likes to meet colleagues for a working lunch or for working on a paper (with my free coffee).
One of the items we ordered was the frontega chicken sandwich. All we got was soggy bread with chicken we had to hunt for!!!It is our go to sandwich and sadly was a HUGE disappointment. And to add insult to injury. Two of the soups we ordered were missing the bread and the sandwich the chips.
Just serve proper food man .. its paidOrdered a sandwich and there is a saggy bread with two pieces of cucumber and one piece of tomato no onions no side dressingI ordered Mediterranean bowl three times3 total olives when i put extra oliveNo hummus little bit of quinoa and whole bowl is filled with arugula
If I wanted to be this disappointed, I would have asked Popeyes to deliver it. Guess my wife doesnt need to eat tonight. Thanks for forgetting half our order and not following our delivery instructions. It was fun digging our cold food out of the snow after no one knocked on our door or rang our doorbell. You can keep the money we paid for food we didnt get to eat. I can take a hint after a third messed up delivery/pickup. Guess you dont like us for some reason.
This Panera is amazing! I frequently do both personal and catering orders for work and the food is always correct and delicious, the drivers are on time (if not early!) and friendly. One of the few places around anymore that the quality and customer service have not slipped one bit. Thank you all!
I had a great visit here. The workers and the whole atmosphere were bright and cheerful. I ordered a green tea but when the cashier gave me a clear plastic cup, I realized my mistake in not specifying that I wanted hot tea. I got a refund with a tasty cup of hot tea on the house. That was excellent customer service.
Panera has it all! We stop in once a week for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. The food choice is great and the coffee is good. We find the quality is maintained from Boston to Rochester to Columbus. Excellent staff, helpful and always ready to adapt to your needs. Establishment us clean and the restrooms are clean as well.
Issue with the order taker (who was the manger) not typing in the orders correctly. AND issues with the kitchen not getting the food now prepared to special orders. I.e. onions on salads. 3 gluten free orders all had croutons. Food was good once everything got corrected
Ive done curbside quite a bit lately due to covid. Didnt have any issues until yesterday. I ordered 2 sandwiches. I didnt look in the bag before I left and I ended up getting a different order. It had the correct name on the outside so I didnt think I needed to check. Went back they took the food back and gave me the correct order along with a cookie. You would think they would let me keep the wrong order since I had to come back or offered delivery. Now Im scared they may do that a lot and who knows who touched your food. Never going again.
The food is normally good but the employees working at this location are horrible. We ordered $50 worth of food and we got a buzzer. 25-30 minutes later the buzzer hasnt gone off and they never called out a name, they just left the food on the counter getting cold. The employee didnt apologize in anyways, she just shrugged, gave some half-hearted statement about we shouldnt have gotten a buzzer, and she turned away to go do other stuff.Edit: The order also turned out to be missing stuff. So theres that too.
Ordered food online. It never showed up. Manager was nice enough but refused to accept that it was the restaurant’s responsibility because they deliver through grubhub. Yeah but I didn’t order with grubhub, I ordered with Panera and they fell through. All they did was refund my money, and told me I could try to place the order again and “see what happens”...did not offer to do anything extra for the inconvenience.
Love the kiosk, but I cant stand the fact that I ordered cheddar broccoli soup (bowl) and got Chicken noodle (cup). I also ordered something from the bakery that was in stock on the kiosk, but not actually there and no one tried to inform me... They just gave me the bag to take home. But my husbands order was right so good try...1 month update... So I ordered my food and paid for it on line at 1pm today! to be pick up by 6pm.... Its 615 its still not ready and they dont have the soup I ordered and paid for... What is wrong with this location? The location in Henrietta never has any problems.
The only reason I gave 3 stars and not less was because of the manager trying to do everything he could to please the customer. 4 ( 2x dine in and 2x takeout) visits in a row details on my order were incorrect or not done at all. When you place an order and ask for minor changes to made to your food (sauses, type of cheese or bread), one would expect the correct changes to be correct. Not the case with this location. Also now you ask for a tip at the time of order, why would I ever tip someone that cant take order correctly or make my order correctly?
Ive only been the one Paneras to have a sit-down meal but it was wonderful. I had a cheese broccoli soup and it was just heaven. The bread bowl makes it even more delicious. Second time I went was a different location and through the drive-up and again I got the cheese broccoli soup and it was just as good as the first bowl had. Plus the people are also friendly and sweet. They always had a smile on their faces and were glad to take care of anything I needed. I would recommend Paneras to anybody that wanted or good meal.
Typically Im reserved and bring errors to the attention of the Manager only. However, it would seem statistically unlikely that my order is missing items each time and yet this has been the case over the past five months or more. My take-out order is properly paced at the register, correct on my receipt, and somehow the kitchen is not able to properly fulfill the order. Its so bad that I cant leave without opening my order to see what the cooks forgot each time. Sure would be nice to confidently visit Panera with my hard earned money. I am a regular customer and dont want free food or discounts, just need my order properly made each time. Is that asking too much?
Ive visited this Panera 1-2 times a week for 2.5 years, although the staff has never given any indication that they recognize me as a regular. The quality and taste of the food is fairly consistent, as is internet service. Friendliness and customer service is very inconsistent. A few employees are courteous and helpful; most are indifferent at best and seem inconvenienced or annoyed if asked a question. Cleanliness is always lacking. Tables, drink stations, countertops, and bathrooms are almost always dirty. It does not escape me (and other regulars) that the more comfortable and inviting chairs near the fireplace have been removed in favor of straight-backed chairs and small tables. It definitely makes the dining room much less inviting and much more business-like . . . which reflects the overall vibe of this Panera. If youre looking for a quick cup of coffee or bite to eat served with a brisk, devil-may-care attitude, youll find that here. If youre looking for a clean, friendly, welcoming place to linger, chat with friends, or get a bit of work done, keep looking. This is not it.
I enjoy Paneras atmosphere and menu. I feel as if I can get a good, relatively healthy meal quickly and pretty economically. I have gotten my wife and daughters hooked on the place over the years and anyone that I ha e introduced to it has enjoyed it at the very least. Panera is a place that I have and will frequently visit (Im here now lol).
Spent over $30 for two pick 2 lunches. Prices went up and the sandwhiches got smaller. I ate an equivalent of a chicken nugget in meat with my all but two measly pieces of steak in my steak and cheddar sandwhich. My lunch consisted of 99% bread. How can anyone suggest Panera? I have no clue.
Everytime I’ve eaten here i have had a bad experience. I’ve tried so hard to like it but just don’t. They always take way to long to prepare any meal for how many people are actually cooking. The two stars are only for the bread which is delightful when fresh and for the coffee. I can not recommend anyone eat there. Also there “Cuban” sandwich is a horrible and definitely not a cuban
I eat at Panera often with friends and I usually get their Signature Panini sandwiches. My family ate dinner here and we had the Cuban Chicken and Tomato & Mozzarella paninis. We also had a salad and the broccoli cheddar soup. The soup was really good and my whole family loved it. The sandwiches were great too.
Very disappointed on their pick 2 pricing. Used to be one set price under 10$for soup/salad and half sandwich. Now prices are alacarte for pick 2. 6 plus $ pick2 price for half a sandwich and 5 plus$ for Mac and cheese. Pick 2 meal came to over 12$. Disappointing price. Disappointing meal. Wont be spending my money there any more.
Tasty food, but by 7:30pm they were out of most of their fresh baked bread for sandwiches and sides on grain/noodle bowls. We were heartbroken to find they dont do french onion soup bread bowls anymore. What? Those were delicious. They did their best to make reasonable substitutions. The food came fast-ish, but ultimately a meal for 4 cost over $50 and everyone was still hungry due to meager portions. No foul on the employees they were friendly and helpful. Food is what it is, tasty, healthy, good, but poor overall value. Other health oriented fast-ish food places are doing it better and cheaper. Try CoreLife for a change of pace.
Food was delicious but staff was rude and pushy, I ordered a bread bowl and got a cup soup instead of just apologizing it was as if they needed to have the last word !! Overall the food was good and atmosphere was comfortable, they need new management in my opinion everyones (management ) busy on the phones, the only polite person I ran into was the black guy working the lobby.
I usually stop in on my way to work ( about 2 -3 times a week) and today I had a 5 $ off coupon for a call in order I wanted to use . Well the lady asked my order about 5 times, I reached to panera before she even got my order down . So I waited for her to finish to go inside. I went in to find out that she didnt process my order . So I waited and got my drink to find out she still couldnt figure it out . So finally I canceled my order. This whole process took 20 minutes . On top of this the manager was no help ! I received no apology and they allowed me to walk out with a horrible impression. I will not be going back .
Ordered two half salads n every one after us was served n out to work and 35 mins later oh it was ready but no one came up for it. fyi our name never came up or the pager never worked. we had 5 mins to eat our lunch and get to our 130 appt. never again, the lead mgr did not even care.

2021-08-29Ordered online and they forgot a sandwich and my soup was crushed and dripping all over the bottom of the bag. The only reason I am posting this is because this has happened more than once. Other Paneras in the area are better.

2022-03-25I ordered 4 pick 2 meals. I used the Panera app. When the food arrived, the order was missing one of the sandwiches and a beverage. When I called, the gentleman who ordered said he could give me a credit. I said I didnt want the credit, I wanted the food. He rudely stated that we wouldnt get it unto 2pm, because it is lunch time and they are busy. I was a little taken back by the tone, as this was not my mistake and I already paid for it. I order from these guys all the time and usually dont have a problem. I would suggest checking your order BEFORE the deliery guy leaves.

2022-02-25Horrible service! Would not recommend. Ordered for delivery and never got my order. When I called an hour later to inquire they told me I had to call Doordash when I placed the order through Panera. Yeah, never again. And yesterday they messed up my order and only delivered my pizza even though they checked off they had everything in the bag. I had to wait for them to deliver the rest of my order. Dont waste your energy. The employees could care less.

2022-02-09I ordered through the app and asked for delivery... the driver was rude and disrespectful. I contacted the restaurant and spoke to the manager. I told them what happened and that I wanted my tip back. They said that they would take care of it. They didnt. I wont order delivery again...
